CDPR to show off RPG at E3 2018, likely Cyberpunk 2077
Five years of waiting, snippets and scraps of info from CDPR, and interesting patents have all sent Cyberpunk 2077 hype soaring to new heights...and it could skyrocket even higher after E3 2018.
Thanks to the official E3 exhibitor website we've been able to glean a bunch of clues about what's in store for the show. The latest shows that CD Projekt RED will showcase a RPG at the venue, corroborating recent rumors of a Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay reveal.
Despite not knowing exact details, the last half-decade has exposed a nice helping of info about Cyberpunk 2077. We know the game should feature living, breathing cities with next-generation AI, that it's the biggest and most ambitious game CD Projekt RED has ever tackled, that development on the project is going smoothly, and that it may have an online, connected multiplayer component of some kind--but don't worry, it'll stay narrative-driven with a dynamic story arc. CDPR even opened a brand new studio to help it craft the game's sprawling sci-fi world.

Atari VCS to ship in Spring 2019, pre-orders open in May
Atari releases new pre-order and shipment info on its new Atari VCS gaming/entertainment platform.
The Atari VCS seems like an iffy bet. Essentially the system aims to do what the Xbox One was supposed to back in 2013, while also entering a market completely dominated by Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo: the Atari VCS is not only a games console that will come pre-loaded with Atari classics and play Linux-based games, but it's also a PC that can web browse, load apps, and stream music and videos. It's described as a 'connected device' and should pair well with other hardware like phones and even PCs in some capacity. Powered by unspecified AMD Radeon tech the Atari VCS may be as powerful as a higher-end laptop, and aims to do it all while being affordable whilst helping the company enter a new age of digital content with a fully-fledged online storefront ecosystem and dev partnership deals.
As promised Atari has announced VCS pre-orders will go live on May 30 of this year with a planned shipping window of Spring 2019. Pre-orders will be exclusively available on Indiegogo, and the classic retro 70s-style wood console will be part of a special collector's edition. Here's what Atari said about the early pre-order promos:

Capcom to show off new action adventure game at E3 2018
Capcom should showcase a new action-adventure game at E3, but what could it be? A new IP, or a classic return to form?
E3 is a prime venue to reveal and/or tease new titles and stir up serious hype, and Japanese games-maker Capcom might have something very interesting in store at this year's expo. Right now the E3 website is unearthing lots of little tidbits and pre-show gems to feed speculation--the latest of which surrounds Capcom. According to the site Capcom may show off an action-adventure game for Switch, Xbox One and PC...but oddly enough PS4 is left out.
Sadly there's no other information. Considering PS4 isn't highlighted I'd say the chances of Devil May Cry 5 are slim...but there's always a chance the site's info is incomplete. Capcom will undoubtedly deliver clues on the project during its fiscal year earnings presentation on May 8-9.

Remedy's new P7 game to be unveiled at E3 2018
Remedy's brand new action game codenamed "P7" should be officially announced at E3 2018.
While Remedy Entertainment's "P7" has yet to be formally unveiled we actually know quite a bit about the game itself: it'll be a third-person action game and is meant to be a "long-lasting" experience that strongly hints at live service-powered multiplayer integration. A recent job listing strongly hints P7 should have online service elements, and Remedy even said its proprietary Northlight engine is being optimized for new things such as multiplayer.
To get P7 made and distributed, Remedy has teamed up with publisher 505 games in a multi-year contract for the new IP. The game is being made for all platforms (PS4, Xbox One and PC) and the project should get a name and new details at E3 2018. Since it's due out in 2019 it behooves both Remedy and 505 Games to show something off at the expo in June.

New Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer incoming
Rockstar Games will drop the third trailer for its massively anticipated Western shooter Red Dead Redemption 2 this week.
The latest RDR2 trailer is set to release this Wednesday, May 2 at 11AM EST, Rockstar today announced. In predictable Rockstar fashion the devs didn't release any real new teasers or snippets of info--just the basic "new trailer on X date".
Based on everything we know and have seen so far, Red Dead Redemption 2 is Rockstar's most ambitious game yet and aims to push current generation consoles (4K and otherwise) to their limit. The studio has been crafting this game for years on end and actually built RDR2 from the ground up for PS4 and Xbox One and should eke out the Xbox One X's higher-end console power to boot.

Hitman: Sniper Assassin teased, should hear more at E3 2018
It looks like the new Hitman game has been accidentally teased, with both the Australian and Korean classifications ratings boards teasing Hitman: Sniper Assassin for the PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
Hitman: Sniper Assassination hasn't been offically announced by developer IO Interactive, and while this could be a genuine error, I doubt it - we should expect Sniper Assassin to be announced soon enough. But, there was mobile variant 'Hitman: Sniper' released in 2015, so this could be a better polished or sequel to that game, or a totally new game... we don't know just yet.
IO did announce that they were "making great progress" on a follow up to Hitman from 2016, so we should expect something soon. Hitman: Definitive Edition is right around the corner as well, with a release on both the Xbox One and PS4 on May 18. E3 2018 is less than a month after that, where I think we'll be officially introduced to Hitman: Sniper Assassin.

15 more PUBG cheat sellers found, fined over $6 million
We all know that cheating in Battlegrounds is a big deal, with 120 suspects arrested by Chinese authorities earlier this year, and another 15 cheat makers were just arrested with fines totaling $6.24 million.
PUBG Corporation's Ryan Rigney said that the arrests took place in China on April 25, with the developer aiming at people who were "developing and selling hacking/cheating programs that affect PUBG". Rigney continued, saying that some of these cheats that were made had malicious code and were installing backdoors and stealing user information.
Rigney explained: "The longstanding rumor that hacking/cheating programs extract information from users' PCs has been confirmed to be true. Using illegal programs not only disrupts others, but can end up with you handing over your personal information".

Fortnite for the Nintendo Switch rumored announcement at E3
It really seems inevitable that at some stage we are going to see Fortnite debut to the Nintendo Switch, recent rumors have surfaced and suggested that this day could be sooner rather than later.
The rumors have been sourced from a group of leakers that post on the Twitter account LeakyPandy. LeakyPandy did leak some information about the contents of Nintendo Direct before Nintendo went live, this could suggest that the Twitter account has some slight credibility.
The rumors are as follows: "After debating we have decided to release a portion of the Fortnite x Switch information we have - the statements we consider to be the most reliable. This could be part of Nintendo's E3 Showcase. The majority of the most interesting information about this is actually about Save the World. Nothing seems to point to Battle Royale being all that different on Switch. That goes for Cross-Play, it will be there too. Save the World, on the other hand, apparently got Nintendo's interest. One of our most trusted sources pointed to us that this game's version local Switch-to-Switch Save the World. Exclusive Nintendo IP related content is also being worked on exclusively for Save the World."

Fortnite made $223 million in March, 'king of battle royale'
Fortnite is an unstoppable force that I think Epic Games didn't even imagine could get close to being, but they're enjoying the ride and handling the success incredibly well. But how much money did Fortnite make last month?
$223 million. $223,000,000. Insane. Just 30 days and the free-to-play title rakes in $223 million, which is incredibly hard for most games to do over their lifetimes, Fortnite does in a month. It's unstoppable, and deservedly so - it's a phenomenon beyond words right now with no signs of stopping.
SuperData's latest report tells us that the game has overtaken PUBG as the "king of battle royale" in terms of revenue generated and monthly active users on all platforms. Their report reads: "It also hit the #1 spot by revenue on iOS in the United States in its launch month, and has the highest conversion rate of any free-to-play PC game in March. Oh and P.S. - Fortnite is now the largest free-to-play console game of all time, in revenue generated and monthly active users".
