A new video has surfaced that showcases one of the filming sets for Netflix's coming Witcher TV showing starring Henry Cavill. The video gives a brief reveal and some of the gorgeous landscapes that will be in the show.

A video appeared on reddit from user gravemaster7, the video showed off the beautiful filming location that has been selected for the TY show. Since this is only a short teaser of the location, fans of the show quickly rushed out to discover the location by comparing images to the video, concluding that the site was Vajdahunyad Castle, in Budapest, Hungary.

At the moment, we expect that the filming for the TV show is going to finish around 2019/2020 and with locations like this one in place the show is really shaping up to be using some incredible locations. If you didn't know already, Henry Cavill is set to play Geralt, the main character of the show. A new image has been leaked by none other than Best Buy's very own advertisement, the leak showcases what appears to be the amiibo render for Joker.

Back in December we learned that the first DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Fighters Pass would be Persona 5's Joker. We then learned about a month later through Nintendo's smaller Direct that Joker would be added "before the end of April", then some data mining revealed what is to be believed as Joker's stage name 'mementos'.

That is all we know of Joker so far, we have not seen gameplay of the fighter, just renders, images and a little bit of footage that was shown throughout the Nintendo Direct. Now, we have another leaked render that if I was to take a guess at what the its for - I would say it would be for the 'Joker' amiibo. You can't deny that Fortnite is a runaway success at this point, with over 250 million players it is the most popular game in this universe right now. In its inertia, Epic Games went from an already ridiculous big gaming-focused company to how-in-the-F much bigger can they get.

There are 7.5 million developers using Unreal Engine in some form, where it's not just used by game developers but by students and teachers, the medical field, in TV and movies (there's even a kids show called LazyTown that my girls used to love and I saw that the backgrounds used in the show were infused with Unreal Engine). During a recent interview between Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney and Business Insider at GDC 2019, Sweeney said that Epic plans to take Fortnite "beyond its roots, and make it a true online world", BI says it best. This sucks, and just as my disappointment seeped in with writing the Half-Life 3 announcement post, it made me want to see Valve get off their ass and get Half-Life 3 to market. The same thing sparked in my mind when I read the Crysis 4 news, and now I just want to see a totally rebooted Crysis on a new CRYENGINE and next generation graphics.

You know it was coming and now the day is here: Half-Life 3 has been announced and it's an exclusive to the Epic Game Store. The announcement from Valve is not a surprise as Half-Life 3 will be a Valve Index launch title.

Valve will be releasing Half-Life 3 as an exclusive to its new Valve Index VR headset, the successor to the HTC Vive which it co-developed with the smartphone maker. HTC has future Vive headsets in production and launching later this year, with Valve continuing to work with HTC on those headsets while making Half-Life 3 a part of this huge year in hardware releases for the company.

Half-Life 3 will see you playing as Gordon Freeman once again with the game powered by Valve's own next-gen Source 3.0 engine, which will be used to good effect in the new Orange Box. Valve's new Orange Box will consist of a bunch of new games from the developer including Half-Life 3, Portal 3, Left 4 Dead 3, Team Fortress 3, and CS:GO 2.

Huawei has had one helluva year, with the Chinese giant posting a huge $107 billion in revenue for 2018, the first time the company has broken the $100 billion mark. Revenues were up 19.5% from 2017, while pulling in a net profit of $8.8 billion, an increase of 25% over 2017's numbers.

The consumer business slice of Huawei made the most revenue in 2018 hauling a large $52 billion, which is the first time in Huawei's history that the consumer business made the majority of the revenue for the year. 2018 was good to Huawei with a huge 45.1% increase year-over-year in its consumer business division.

Huawei sold over 200 million smartphones in 2018, and just days ago now revealed its new flagship P30 series smartphone with what appears to be the best camera in a smartphone by a long shot. As for this year, Huawei is expected to do well with January and February 2019 doing extremely well with year-over-year increases of 30%.

Skyrim Grandma made that big of a splash in the world of Skyrim that gamers made a petition to see her immortalized in The Elder Scrolls 6 as an NPC, unique character, or location. So during The Elder Scrolls 25th anniversary stream, developer Bethesda Softworks announced she will be made into an NPC for The Elder Scrolls 6.

A bit ago in my previous Wolfenstein: Youngblood article, I highlighted some concerns about the mention of skins and emotes. Those are key words that usually mean online microtransactions...and now we have official confirmation. Yes, the new co-op Wolfenstein game will be monetized.

On Youngblood's FAQ page, Machine Games confirmed Wolfenstein: Youngblood will have optional cosmetic microtransactions. The game will have an online digital storefront that sells emotes and skins to decorate Blazkowicz' twin daughters, hinting that Youngblood isn't just a linear shooter but more of a framework for long-term online gametypes. The trade-off here is that future content should be totally free.

We all sit here with a bunch of unplayed games sitting in our Steam and other digital distribution hubs of games, but I'm sure none of us have 20,000 games like Antonio Monteiro has just shown off.

Guinness Book of World Records went and checked out Monteiro's insane collection of games in his Richmond-based house, with games for consoles from the second-eighth generation of games, with the company taking 8 days to go through his collection before he received the award.

Monteiro began collecting games after his addiction started with Golden Axe, something that is close to his heart even today. The collection is mind blowing, flowing in multiple rooms from floor to ceiling and had a smile on my face the entire time.

NVIDIA announced the Turing-based GeForce GTX 16 series graphics cards with the surprise launch of the GeForce GTX 1660 and GTX 1660 Ti which will soon be joined by the GTX 1650 and GTX 1650 TI according to the latest rumors.

The new GeForce GTX 1650 will reportedly roll out on the Turing TU117 GPU, compared to the Turing TU116 chip used on the GTX 1660/1660 Ti. The memory will be knocked down to GDDR5 on the GTX 1650 while the GTX 1650 Ti will reportedly debut with GDDR6, both with 4GB.

I haven't heard a peep about these new cards in official form, but have heard lots about them from various sources. We should expect a launch on April 22 for the GTX 1650 according to VideoCardz, and that's not too far away at all.

Bethesda won't be bringing its biggest future games to its E3 2019 showcase, instead opting for more immediate projects.

Bethesda Games Studios has two massive projects in development right now, both of which are leveraging high-end next-gen tech and pushing the bar for what RPGs can deliver. But they're both still pretty mysterious, and one is shrouded in more mystery than the other.

The first is Starfield, a new "singleplayer space epic" RPG set in a fresh IP that may feature interstellar travel.

NVIDIA has just lost a major player on its team with director of technical marketing Tom Peterson leaving the company after nearly 15 years with Team Green.

Petersen announced the news on his personal Facebook account, where he said: "Today was my last day as an NVIDIA employee. I'll miss them. They carried me through some tough times and I am eternally grateful".

Rumor has it that Petersen has left for Intel, which has been vacuuming up talent with no remorse. WCCFTech is reporting from their own sources that Petersen is joining Intel as an Engineering Fellow and will be "reporting to Ari Rauch". Their report continues saying that Petersen will be responsible for "defining and delivering on the quintessential gaming experience - something Intel is going to be very particular about going forward".

Atari makes some key changes with its new Atari VCS games console, namely the outer shell design.

Following a big hardware upgrade to Ryzen APUs, the Atari VCS is getting a makeshift to match its fancy new guts. Today the company announced a few design alterations to the console's chassis that will help reduce costs and speed up production. Atari has slightly shrunken the VCS' width, but gave it a bit more height with a retro-inspired stand (original dimensions are 14.5" x 5.3" x 1.6" compared to the revised 12.3" x 5.9" x 2.0").

Thew new changes actually have an effect on interfacing too. The built-in SD card port has been nixed in favor of two front-facing USB 3.0 ports for easy access. The Atari VCS console is made to be a kind of nexus for living room entertainment, so it'll support mice and keyboards, phone charging, various controllers, and more through USB integration.

Bethesda celebrates 25 years of Elder Scrolls by looking back at its storied history, and teasing its future.

The Elder Scrolls VI may be a long ways away, but that hasn't stopped Bethesda from not only announcing it at E3 2018, but also highlighting some of the technology that'll power it. Originally billed as one of the studio's "big and crazy projects," The Elder Scrolls VI will leverage next-gen tech--some of which is brand new for Bethesda.

While The Elder Scrolls VI may not run on a brand new games engine, the studio is upgrading its tools to make something quite dazzling. The studio is using high-end tech to import real locations into the game in a photorealistic manner.

Visceral Games' cancelled Star Wars project would've told the story through multiple perspectives, just like the films.

The more I hear about Visceral Games' scrapped Project Ragtag Star Wars game, the more I want to play it. Originally cancelled in 2017 following the closure of Visceral as a studio, the game followed the exploits of a ragtag group of space scoundrels like bounty hunters, misfits, and general ne'er-do'wells.

According to Amy Hennig, who said the game would've been like Star Wars Uncharted, Ragtag was hugely ambitious and would've followed the shifting narrative focus of the movies quite closely.

SEGA is making its own answer to Nintendo's NES and SNES mini consoles, and it's coming out later this year.

Today SEGA revealed that its upcoming 16-bit micro-console will release in September with 40 built-in games. That's a truckload of games for reach system. The console will be branded as Genesis in the United States and the Mega Drive in Europe and Japan, and each region will have a different selection of titles. SEGA has revealed 10 out of the 40 games for the Genesis, which includes classics like Castlevania Bloodlines and Toe Jam and Earl.

SEGA confirms the Genesis and Mega Drive Minis will have state save features for easy progression, and we could get visual modes to boot. SEGA will be making the device themselves and affirm the mini-systems will deliver "quality as only a 1st party product can." SEGA previously said AtGames, who manufactures the rather janky retro emulator systems sold in stores, won't be making the Genesis Mini and the system should be all the better for it.

Valve's mysterious new HMD has finally been confirmed, but there's still a lot we don't know.

Today Valve put up a website for a new VR headset called Valve Index, hinting at a more powerful HMD by calling for gamers to "upgrade their experience." A nebulous May 2019 window is also mentioned, which is presumably when the Index will be revealed, but no details or specifications were revealed.

What's interesting is how the Vive brand isn't found on the headset. It appears Valve is making and shipping their own HMD and may not be teaming with HTC for this one. The headset seems to match last year's leaked prototypes, which said the Index would deliver Vive Pro's 1440 x 1600 pixels per eye (2880 x 1600 pixels combined) resolution alongside with a boosted 135-degrees FOV. The Index also sports two tracking cameras.
