An overseas retailer loses credibility with its Switch Mini product listings by admitting the accessories don't exist yet.

Chinese retailer HonSon recently listed some Switch Mini accessories on its website, causing lots of speculation about an incoming shrunken Switch. But there's just one problem: HonSon doesn't know if the console is actually coming, and since the system hasn't been confirmed by Nintendo, the accessories can't even be purchased. In fact, they're not even in production yet.

The company freely admitted it doesn't actually know if or when the Switch Mini is coming out. The products are based on guesswork, the same kind of info that sources gave The Wall Street Journal, which asserted a low-powered handheld-only Switch is on the way to replace the ailing 3DS.

2K Games loves multiplayer and engagement. It's a billion-dollar market that consistently earns cash from big marquee games like NBA 2K and sporadic titles like Borderlands 3. So it's no surprise that its newest San Francisco Bay-based studio is making yet another game based around long playtime, online hooks, and engagement monetization.

A recent job listing confirms Condrey's team is making an action-driven multiplayer game for Take-Two Interactive. The project probably won't feature a deep and meaningful singleplayer experience like Dead Space, instead tossing in online content in the hopes of making revenues from what Take-Two calls "recurring consumer spending."

When Nintendo announced Mario Maker 2, something interesting caught my eye: pre-orders include a stylus. There's a good reason for that. Making levels in Mario Maker 2 while on-the-go requires use of the touchscreen, ergo the stylus.

The stylus was a hallmark of the 3DS' interactivity and opened doors for unique gameplay experiences. Starting with Mario Maker 2 in June, these features will extend to the Switch. It's odd that no games really make great use of the Switch's 10-point capacitive touchscreen. This could change as Nintendo rolls out more first-party games that use it (possibly Animal Crossing: New Horizons will use it in some fashion, too).

Penn and Teller who are well known magicians have announced alongside Gearbox Software and publishing, Penn and Teller VR: Frankly Unfair, Unkind, Unnecessary & Underhanded. The game isn't your typical virtual reality experience and instead throws players into the realm of the uncomfortable and unsettling, just what Penn and Teller planned. According to the press release, this was the thought process by the two pranksters; "When a new mind-blowing technology comes out, the first thing Teller and I think is, 'How can we use this to help people play tricks, cheat, and prank'".

Penn explains how the idea came about, saying "Luckily for us, (and maybe less luckily for the world), Randy Pitchford, the big cheese at Gearbox, is our buddy, and worked as a professional magician. We are the same soulless motherhubbards. So, we've found a way for people to use VR as a tool to monkey with their so-called 'friends.' It's what we do, and we've done it." Another website has released renders of the unannounced Nintendo Switch Mini console, while these images aren't necessarily the consoles final design they could certainly be guess at what is to maybe be on its way.

It was only a couple of days ago that I reported on a Chinese accessorries company listing accessories for the technically non-existent Nintendo Switch Mini console. Now, we have another accessories website listing a range of accessories for the Mini, the websites name is HonSon and they necessarily a small website either. HodSon has accessories for almost all consoles released and a plethora of spare parts and gadgets that go with them.

While this isn't in anyway a confirmation for a Nintendo Switch Mini console to be coming to the market, it is certainly an eyebrow raising moment. The question that should be asked is why are companies listing accessory products for a console that on paper doesn't exist. Is this a way for accessory companies to get more traffic through fake listings that journalist like myself pick up? Or do these companies have blueprints for a prototype console that gives them the ability to make early accessories and the website listings are simply a innocent mistake?

A bunch of new screenshots have been released for Perfect World Entertainments Remnant: From the Ashes. Are you prepared to take a step into the chaotic monster-filled world of Remnant: From the Ashes?

If you aren't familiar with the upcoming title from Perfect World Entertainment, here is quick synopsis of what is to come. Remnant: From the Ashes is an open-world post-apocalyptic third-person survival action shooter that puts players into teams of up to three allies which the group is tasked to eliminate dangerous monsters. The game will feature what has been promised as intense combat with over 100 monsters and 20 epic bosses to tangle with.

Players will also be able to create and modify new weapons to better their chances at the challenges ahead. To complement the weapon system, players will also have a gear progression system as well. The worlds will be randomized and be packed with unique challenges that once completed, will reward players with tools and gear to assist them in advancing to the next world. Perfect World Entertainments Remnant: From the Ashes is slated to release on August 20th, 2019.

In and interview with Kotaku, Nintendo's top producers for the upcoming Luigi's Mansion 3 have revealed many details regarding the titles development and game mechanics.

The interview with Kotaku was conducted at E3 2019 and producers Yoshihito Ikebata and his boss, Kensuke Tanabe sat down to discuss Luigi's Mansion 3. According to both of the games heads, Luigi's Mansion 3 will have more concentration on unique bosses than the second installment in the series. Here is what Idkebata said, "More than anything we really wanted to put those unique bosses in the second one and we couldn't. So that's why we've put so many of them in the third one."

The producers also touched on how the development for the title originated. According to Kotaku, Luigi's Mansion 3 development first began on the Wii U, and was then quickly converted over to the Nintendo Switch following the development completion of Next Level's 2016 3DS game Metroid Prime Federation Force. Next Level will be taking the reins in Luigi's Mansion 3 development, but that doesn't mean Nintendo won't have a say in the moves Luigi will be able to do in-game.

Microsoft has teamed with Kano on a new build-your-own Windows 10 PC kit, which will see the new Kano PC teaching kids how to not just build their own touchscreen laptops, but create content and even code on them. Check out the video below:

Kano was already making DIY computer kits before the new relationship with Microsoft kicked off, as it was building DIY rigs powered by Raspberry Pi 3s and Kano's own operating system. The new Kano PC is powered by Windows 10 (but in S Mode, so it only runs apps from the Microsoft Store) while inside we're looking at an Intel Atom x5-Z8350 quad-core CPU @ 1.44GHz, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage upgradeable through microSD.

In an interview with ComicBook.com, Marveu Studios president Kevin Feigi said that the company has been talking with Keanu on "almost every film we make". Feigi added: "We talk to Keanu Reeves about... I don't know when, if, or ever he'll join the MCU, but we very much want to figure out the right way to do it". Rumor has it that Keanu could be involved in The Eternals, something we should hear about soon if it happens.

Keanu is already one connection away from Marvel Studios in that he stars in Toy Story 4 which is about to open, which is made by Pixar and also owned by Disney, just like Marvel Studios.

Samsung will have the world watching when it launches the Galaxy Note 10 later this year, with the latest news on the next-gen flagship seeing it rolling out with Sound on Display technology which will replace the traditional speaker.

The new Galaxy Note 10 will do something LG did with its V8 ThinQ from earlier this year which was the first with SoD technology, which turns the entire screen into a speaker will be a big deal for a larger-than-life phone, now with a larger-than-life audio experience. The new speaker on the Note 10 will be "almost invisible" but will still be noticeable.

The reduction in the top of the bezel will be useful for a larger OLED display on the Galaxy Note 10, so we should expect a larger-than-normal display on the new flagship Galaxy Note. The big battle for smartphone flagship supremacy will take place between the Galaxy Note 10, Google Pixel 4 XL, and iPhone 11 later this year.

EA Sports has just announced NHL 20 during the NHL Awards in Las Vegas, with some gigantic changes taking place to the game throughout virtually all areas.

NHL 20 will feature celebratory commentary, with EA tapping huge Hollywood and industry giants like Snoop Dogg and Will Ferrell, with Ferrell delivering his commentary in his Ron Burgundy character from Anchorman. While EA hasn't named any names yet, GameSpot saw a slide for NHL 20 that included Snoop Dogg, Will Ferrell, Drake, and Wayne Gretzky.

EA surprised with the announcement of NHL 20 in that it will include a battle royale mode, and while you probably thought that headline was click bait, this is definitely real. The battle royale mode in NHL 20 is called "Eliminator", in which the developer explains is a competitive mode where it is a "winner-take-all competition inspired by battle royale".

The latest update to Quake II RTX is here with v1.1.0 delivering a bunch of things including inverted mouse support (the first thing I noticed when I played it in Taiwan at the NVIDIA HQ) as well as music playback, tweaks to the tone mapper, and more.

Lightspeed Studios is handling Quake II RTX, with the developer noting: "Quake II RTX supports music playback from OGG files, if they can be located. To enable music playback, copy the CD tracks into a music folder either next to the executable, or inside the game directory, such as baseq2/music"

With Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt RED has one goal: to go bigger and better than ever before. This focus should also extend to post-launch expansions.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been a monumental undertaking for CD Projekt RED. The company has shelled out millions and millions of R&D spending on the game, crafting a new next-gen engine and building high-powered tech for everything from motion capture to AI and everything in between. When the game launches in April, CDPR says it'll be a full and complete experience with a gripping choice-driven narrative. But when it's over it's not necessarily over, and Cyberpunk 2077 is likely to get expansions just like The Witcher 3.

In a recent interview with Prima Games, CD Projekt RED UI coordinator Alvin Liu says CDPR is tentatively plotting out Cyberpunk 2077's post-launch future. But right now the team is dedicated strongly in finishing the base game first. Liu echoes co-founder Marcin Iwinski's promises that CDPR won't carve out content from the base game to sell at a later date. When expansions happen, they will be huge sprawling affairs like Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. The studio is putting its all into Cyberpunk 2077's gritty, raunchy, and action-packed sci-fantasy shooter and won't compromise it to make a quick buck later.

EA and Epic Games tried to defend lootboxes, microtransactions, and their billion-dollar engagement practices to a recent UK government committee. They failed quite badly.

Key EA and Epic Games representatives recently attended a meeting discussing video game addiction with the UK's Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee. The results are quite embarrassing for the titans of industry. Both EA and Epic reps floundered in their responses, and looked quite nervous. The companies tried re-defining lootboxes as "surprise mechanics" like a Hatchimal or Kinder Egg, and declined giving key information like user metrics and average revenues earned per user.

"Do you consider lootboxes to be an ethical feature of your games?" Scottish MP Brendan O'Hara asked EA's representative, Kerry Hopkins.

This summer Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 players will be able to get their hands-on a new DLC character, Super Saiyan Blue Evolved Vegeta.

According to the latest issue of Weekly Jump, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Evolved Vegeta will be coming to Xenoverse 2 this summer as a paid DLC character. Vegeta will come with all of his classic moves such as; Final Flash, Final Blow, Final Galick Gun, Atomic Blast, Final Charge, Flash Strike and Final Explosion.

For players to unlock the Awoken Skill they must already have obtained the 'Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan' awoken skill, already be level 95 and finally max out their friendship with Vegeta in-game. Remember that title Agony and the development and publishing hell that it went through? (pun intended) Well, a spin-off game has been announced and it seems it will be taking a similar route.

The game is called Succubus, which in supernatural folklore means a demon who takes form as a female to seduce men into sexual activities. Once those activities are achieved, the man experiences a deterioration of health, mental cognition and sometimes even death. The title coming out of Madmind Studios seems to capture all of those elements and stir them into one game.

According to the press release, Succubus will continue to follow the story of Agony and concentrate in on now the main character Succubus Vydija. Here is the official description; "With the disappearance of the rightful rulers of hell, the remaining demons have chosen their new ruler - the only soul who could dominate the mind of the mighty Beast. Raising their new empire from the corpses of sinners helped the new king, Nimrod, and his queen Vydija, to control the chaos left by the former overlord."

Apex Legends players have been seeing dragon-like beats flying around the map while attempting to win games. The dragons are stealing loot boxes, but why?

Apex Legends players are quite confused with the latest addition to the game, as many players have been spotting dragons or 'flyers' circling around the map. These dragons must be a teaser for the games coming season 2 update, which seems will contain these dragons who are stealing dead players' loot boxes. In the above video by Kandyrew, we can see that players are able to shoot and damage the dragons which will then result in the beast dropping the loot box its holding. It should also be noted that whoever shoots the dragon first will make the lootbox's owner appear as someone on their Origin friends list.

The first question that comes to mind is 'where are these dragons taking the loot boxes? and why?' If I was to take a guess at the reasoning behind this teaser, I would say that Respawn is planning some kind of world event for the map. Consider the idea of these dragons stealing the loot boxes of players to return them to a larger dragons lair to guard. Players would have to work as a team to take on the larger dragon and its siblings, and after they are defeated they will be rewarded with whatever loot that has been stolen, plus bonus loot from the larger dragon.
