Nintendo Direct E3 2019 runtime length rumored for 45 mins
Nintendo have officially announced their E3 date for their annual Nintendo Direct live stream and presentation. How long will the presentation go? Rumors have speculated that it would be along the lines of 45 minutes.
The news has come from PeekyBird, an industry insider who has previously predicted other Nintendo Switch related news has said that the "Nintendo Direct E3 2019 runtime is expected to be around 45 minutes." This prediction seems more than logical, as it doesn't take a genius to piece together that Nintendo will most likely follow their approximate run time of anywhere between 30 - 45 minutes, like many of the previous years.
A simple YouTube search of "Nintendo Direct: E3 2018", and changing the yearly number will bring up results of the Nintendo's official events. The 30 and 45 minutes video rune time length ranges back until 2010, before then Nintendo were pumping out massive 1 hour + conferences. Nintendo will be hosting their Nintendo Direct on June 11th at 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET.

Super Smash Bros. rumors point at Banjo-Kazooie for next DLC
While a portion of us don't enjoy the pursuit of diving into rumors or speculation of certain possibilities of Smash characters. A considerable amount of us still do, and a theory has been developed and supported to suggest Banjoa-Kazooie for the next DLC fighter.
With E3 just around the corner, Nintendo are bound to show of some form of tease for the next DLC character to enter into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Who will this character be? Rumors have suggested sourced from a ResetEra admin who said "Been a while since we saw Banjo in anything. Hope we're in for a smashing good time." To correlate this information, during the March 2018 reveal of Smash the same "smashing good time" phrase was used - is this a wink towards a reveal happening?
Evidence for Banjo-Kazooie has also been sourced from Beanstalk who is a brand extension agency that will be at E3 to discuss licensing brands. Beanstalk has a subsidiary company called Tinderbox who has been known to represent Microsoft since 2016. What is most interesting about this is that Banjo-Kazooie has been listed along with some other Microsoft IP's.

Monster Hunter World 'Iceborne' DLC story teaser trailer
Just ahead of the E3 showcase next week, Capcom have released a chilling story trailer for the upcoming DLC for Monster Hunter World 'Iceborne'.
Earlier in May we saw the release of the teaser trailer for Monster Hunter Worlds 'Iceborne' DLC, that trailer introduced us to the climate of the new region, this one throws the magnifying glass over the regions content. 'Iceborne' will take players to Hoarfrost Reach which is a completely new region that is almost the same size as the original game.
The story trailer also gives us a good showcase of the new monsters, and honestly they look fantastic and quite difficult to overcome. If you are after a quick official description, "Monster Hunter World: Iceborne picks up from the end of the original game, with players joining forces with the Research Commission once again to explore the undiscovered new land of Hoarfrost Reach, which will be the largest map in the game. Following an unusual sighting of Legiana from the Ancient Forest, the team journeys across the waters to the new locale. As pioneers, the group soon sets up a new base camp in Hoarfrost Reach called Seliana, which serves as a warm haven with resources to prepare them for the challenging quests that await."

Sony's next-gen PlayStation 5 has 4K 120Hz output support
Sony has revealed more details of its next-gen PlayStation 5 console during an interview between CNET and Jim Ryan, the president of Sony Interactive Entertainment. Ryan pushed the big message of "cross-generational play" which would see gamers on both the PS4 and PS5 playing games together.
But it was the bit about the PS5 supporting 4K 120Hz TVs that piqued my interest, which is an interesting fact. It doesn't mean we'll see games running at 4K at 120FPS on the PS5, but it definitely opens the possibilities of that. There are some more basic games that could roll out with 4K 120Hz support, the PS5 is more than powerful enough to play certain titles at the full 120FPS even at 4K.
So it's not only insanely-fast storage we can expect from the PlayStation 5 and its less-than-one second loading Spider-Man. But the backwards compatibility and cross-generation play mixed with much higher fidelity graphics and audio are truly going to create one of the most insane leaps in next-gen consoles, EVER.

Microsoft to reveal 3 new IPs at E3, sources say
Team Green may unveil three big new IPs alongside a host of surprises and gameplay footage, sources tell Thurrot.com's Brad Sams.
Microsoft is done being criticized for its lack of games. The company has been ramping up game development for months now, buying up talented studios like Obsidian, Ninja Theory, and inXile to help bolster its AAA games offering. E3 2019 will be a big proving moment for Xbox and these studios will get to show off the fruits of their labors and expand the dreadfully thin first-party Xbox lineup.
The company already confirmed its E3 presence will be absolutely massive, and the show will last a huge 2 hours. We'll see new game reveals, gameplay trailers of in-development titles like Halo: Infinite and Gears of War 5, official details on Game Pass for PC, and an info blowout on Project xCloud, Microsoft's own cloud game streaming service.

THQ Nordic to reveal three big games ahead of E3
THQ Nordic is one of the few publishers working on a metric ton of new projects. There's so many games in the pipeline that THQ has to reveal them ahead of E3 2019.
Right now THQ Nordic is developing over 80 games across its varied stable of developers and subsidiaries, which includes Deep Silver, 4A Games, and Volition. Most of these new titles haven't been announced yet--48 of them are still under wraps. Now the company plans to unveil three of these new games ahead of E3 as part of a new "3 on 3" promo.
So what can we expect to see? Probably a few remasters or re-releases on multiple platforms. I'm betting THQ Nordic will save its huge new game announcements for E3 proper. Volition is working on a top-secret new AAA game (probably Saints Row 5), and other devs like Warhorse Studios, Coffee Stain, and 4A Games are likewise doing the same.

Final Fantasy 7: Remake, Avengers shouldn't launch in 2019
Square Enix biggest games probably won't launch in 2019, including Final Fantasy VII: Remake and Crystal Dynamics' big new Avengers game.
In a recent earnings results briefing, Square Enix strongly reiterates that its upcoming slate of AAA games won't be ready by year's end. We recently predicted that marquee games like Final Fantasy VII: Remake wouldn't release until 2020 at the earliest. The publisher's earnings forecasts for the current fiscal year just don't represent a huge spike in game sales that accompany huge games like FF7R, and now the company lends credence to this prediction.
The briefing divulges some key info about Square Enix's upcoming plans. Square Enix will unveil key details about its major new games, including features, platforms, and probably release dates. But showing what's to come should be the extent of the show. Square Enix President Yosuke Matsuda outlines plans for E3 and confirms big games like Crystal Dynamic's new all-original Avengers game and Final Fantasy VII: Remake won't launch until mid-year of the current fiscal period.

Watch Dogs 3 lets you hack people using mind control tech
UPDATE: Ubisoft confirms Watch Dogs: Legion is real, and is set in the UK.
In previous Watch Dogs games, only the world's technology was hackable. Stoplights, cars, phones, drones, etc. could be manipulated on your command. But in Watch Dogs 3 you'll can hack people.
According to key sources, Watch Dogs 3: Legion is built around one immensely ambitious concept: being able to play as anyone you see in the game. Much like the demoniac gestalt Legion who possessed people in the New Testament and forced them to do nefarious things against their will, players can essentially take control over anyone in the city of London and make them do whatever they want. Big Brother eat your heart out.

Bethesda knew Fallout 76 was a mess, launched it anyway
Fallout 76 is, was, and probably forever will be a total morass of wasted potential and broken features. Now Bethesda admits it knew the game was a weird mess and shipped it anyway, planning to make it better post-launch.
There's an alarming industry-wide trend with service games: release them in a wonky, jarring state to sell units and then promise to make them better with updates months after launch. Luckily gamers are wise to the scheme. Bethesda tried this with its experimental online-only Fallout 76, and EA did the same with Anthem. Both games are critical failures as a result, in particular exposing Bethesda Game Studio's lack of understanding about service games. We know exactly why Anthem failed, and now Bethesda's Todd Howard opens up about Fallout 76's development.
In a recent interview with IGN, Todd Howard admits Bethesda wasn't completely blind to Fallout 76's litany of bugs, glitches, and weird design decisions. Adapting the beloved RPG series to an online-only setting was tremendously difficult and the studio knew it wouldn't get high review scores.

Google Stadia price, games, and launch info coming this week
Already keen on upending the console market, Google is also breaking the rules with a huge pre-E3 press event for its new Stadia platform.
Google's new Stadia platform has the potential to change gaming forever. It's not a console, but an all-you-can-play service that beams games directly from the cloud to devices you already own, alleviating some of gaming's most cumbersome roadblocks: cost and accessibility. Stadia promises a whole lot and sounds too good to be true, and gamers have lots of questions. What are the bandwidth requirements? How much will it cost? When is it out, and what devices are supported?
The search titan promises to reveal all in a big new press event on Thursday. "Watch our first ever Stadia Connect June 6, 2019 at 9AM PDT/6PM CET as we reveal more Stadia news, including pricing, games, and launch details," Google announced.

Rainbow Six Siege won't permanently be going free-to-play
Ubisoft have spoken out about the current condition of their popular tactical shooter title Rainbow Six Siege. The interview touches on why Rainbow Six Siege will never go free-to-play.
According to the Rainbow Six Siege Brand Director, Alexandre Remy, the publishers will keep "a certain pricing of the game there for different reasons." Most of the reasons include the pricing being a barrier between players who could be potentially toxic, as many free-to-play games become subject to due to their wide availability. "One of them being: a free-to-play game automatically attracts a huge influx of population, not all of them playing the game for sake of winning. Sometimes they play just because it's free and so they get in and that can lead to potential toxicity."
Remy continues and says "Even having a small price helps create a barrier of entry where, as a player, you ask yourself the question "should I spend those five bucks?" and if you do I think it's a decision and a commitment. I think that's a valid approach." This is an extremely good point that I think many Rainbow Six Siege players would respect. Some examples of games that have an unhealthy amount of toxic players due to their free-to-play stance are; League of Legends, Paladins, and SMITE. Perhaps a pay-wall is what is needed to keep away those players that just want to see the game burn.

Deep Silver officially delays Shenmue III until Nov 19, 2019
We are back yet again with Shenmue III news and in a not-so-surprising move by Deep Silver we have yet again another delayed release date for the title.
The news has been posted onto the official Shenmue III Kickstarter page, and according to the post Yu Suzuki and Deep Silver have given a joint announcement regarding the release date of the game. Originally, Shenmue III was meant to be released on August 27th, 2019, now the release date has been moved to November 19th, 2019.
The reason for the delay has been described down to the developers needing more time to refine the game. The post says that this extra time "will help us deliver the true Shenmue experience players around the world deserve!" To check out the official Shenmue III page, a link can be found here.

Jurassic World inspired DLC to hit Jurassic World Evolution
The dino park simulator, Jurassic World Evolution will soon be getting a Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom movie-inspired DLC titled 'Claire's Sanctuary'.
This new and upcoming DLC by developer Frontier Developments will be adding a whole new line of story Evolution. Players will be tasked with saving dinosaurs from Isla Nubar right before the volcano is due to erupt and destroy everything. Luckily, players won't have to deal with those weird and somewhat out of theme comical jokes that were made in the second half of the movie, when events were back in the mansion.
The DLC will also add "all-new structures, features and three new dinosaurs to Jurassic World Evolution - the Albertosaurus, Euoplocephalus and Ouranosaurus". On top of this players will have to paleobotany features, a new greenhouse building, new research to delve into and a new off-road truck ride tour that can be used for park visitors. Age of Empires I/II/III: Definitive Editions cross to Steam
Age of Empires fans can rejoice today as Microsoft have announced that there will be cross-play support between Steam and the Microsoft Store for the trilogy of Age of Empires Definitive Editions.
Age of Empires fans have been waiting for an announcement by Microsoft for quite some time now. Originally, there was meant to be an announcement at the Inside Xbox livestream, but that announcement was pulled and postponed to what now seems to be E3 2019. To tie fans over and build that hype up a little bit, Microsoft has decided to announce that the Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and the Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition will be coming to Steam when they launch.
According to the blog post on the Age of Empires website, players will be able to "enjoy these games no matter where you play", and that "by releasing Age of Empires I, II, and III: Definitive Editions to Steam, we are letting you, our fans, decide where you want to play, explore, and create new experiences with our games." The blog post finishes up by saying that more information will soon be released on the Steam cross-play support, most likely at the E3 2019 keynote on Sunday, June 9.

Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is playable at E3 2019
Finally we have an official announcement out from Microsoft regarding the existence of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, and what better place for it to be playable than E3 2019?
Microsoft has taken to both their official Twitter page for Age of Empires, and the official website to announce that the Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will be playable at this years E3. To accompany the announcement, Microsoft has said that on Sunday, June 9th they will be holding their own keynote at E3 where they will be "on the floor with Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition!".
Looking more closely at the announcement on the website, Kevin VanderMeer mentions that "Attendees will be able to experience stunning 4K Ultra HD graphics, a new, fully remastered soundtrack, and 4 new civilizations during an on-hands demo of the game." Now will these be 4 additional new civilizations? or will these just be the ones that are in the HD version of the game right now? If I was to take a guess, I would say that these are 4 new additional civilizations as this will give fans more of a reason to pick up the game.

The biggest Xbox games are coming to Steam
Now that it's merged PC and console gaming together, Microsoft is distancing itself from platform exclusivity and teaming up with its competitors.
Microsoft doesn't care about exclusivity any more. Its plans are much more ambitious. Xbox is now a service that bridges consoles, PCs, and soon via Project xCloud, mobile devices, delivering a billion-dollar revenue stream thanks to strong engagement. Although the Windows Store and UWP platform were made to tap the PC gaming market, Microsoft is relenting in the zero-sum approach and plans to launch its games on competing platforms. More and more AAA Xbox games will show up on Steam, Microsoft confirmed in a recent update.
This move sees Microsoft trading exclusivity for accessibility, which should be a huge boon for the games-maker. Not only are all of Microsoft's biggest Xbox games coming to PC via Game Pass and as actual buyable releases, but some of them will also cross over to Steam. The Master Chief Collection, Gears of War 5 and a smattering of Age of Empires games will all come to Steam. We're betting Halo: Infinite and most of the games announced at Microsoft's E3 2019 will come to Steam as well.

Celeste Chapter 9 DLC will feature over 100 detailed levels
The developer behind the new upcoming Celeste DLC 'Chapter 9' has said that the final DLC has over 100 levels of detailed content.
Matt Thorson has taken to his personal Twitter to announce that him and his team have been detailing over 100 levels. These levels will be included in the games free Chapter 9 DLC which also features some story. Thorson said last week that originally there was no story planned for this DLC but plans changed, and now a story will be included as scripts were finalized 2 weeks ago.
Thorson also mentions within the Twitter thread that him and his team "don't like to talk release dates until we're 100% sure, because as always we have missed every internal target we set for ourselves as the Chapter grew in scope. Sorry!" The free DLC currently doesn't have a set release date but as soon as one is announced I will be sure to follow up with another post.

Mortal Kombat 11 DLC pack, Ash Williams/Terminator teased
Following up on the Kombat Pack that NetherRealm Studios has been teasing for Mortal Kombat 11, we have confirmation of four DLC fighters and speculation on two more.
First off, we have the official Mortal Kombat Twitter page revealing some of the DLC character names, returning to Mortal Kombat 11 we have Sindel, Nightwolf, Spawn and Shang Tsung. Shang Tsung's character will be played by Cary-Hiroyuki who played Shang Tsung in the original Mortal Kombat movie.
The video that was released onto the PlayStation YouTube Channel also teased two more characters to be included within this Kombat Pack. The rumors and speculation are pointing towards two massive names - Ash Williams from Evil Dead and Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator. Ash Williams' inclusion seems to be more probable than Terminator, as you can hear the sound of a chainsaw at the end of the trailer and Ash Williams' actor, Bruce Campbell has also Tweeted out "Boy, looks like a swell game - I'll have to check it out!".
