Just 24 hours from the news that 'Jurassic World' had rocketed past 'The Avengers' to become the third highest grossing film of all time, comes confirmation from Universal that the fifth film in the 'Jurassic Park' franchise is on the way. You didn't really think they'd replicate the 14 year wait between 'Jurassic Park III' and this year's film?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio isn't wasting anytime on developing the next film, and having already signed multi-film contracts, 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas-Howard from 'Terminator: Salvation' will be back. Sadly, 'Jurassic World' co-writer and director Colin Trevorrow will return, but not in a directorial capacity - that search continues, but I'm sure Universal are lobbying very, very hard to retain him.

Ready or not, 'Jurassic World 2' (or 'Jurassic Park 5' for that matter) is coming on June 22, 2018.

The PC market has been all over the place in recent years, with vendors struggling to sell PCs and devices pre-loaded with Microsoft Windows 8. Chinese manufacturer Lenovo is the No. 1 largest PC manufacturer with around 20 percent of global market share, according to the IDC research group.

However, Lenovo is aware that the PC market faces problems - with the company noting a Q2 7.5 percent year-over-year drop, while the PC market dropped almost 12 percent.

"We are starting to see a big consolidation in the market... we think that probably within the next 24 months, maybe four to five players will leave," said Gianfranco Lanci, COO at Lenovo, in a statement to CNBC.

The Microsoft Xbox One may not be able to steal all momentum from the Sony PlayStation 4, but is giving Microsoft plenty of reasons to celebrate. During Q4, Microsoft sold 1.4 million Xbox 360/Xbox One systems, a massive increase from the 1.1 million sold year-over-year - but Microsoft declined to break down sales for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

It looks like the Xbox business is giving Microsoft increased optimism with the looming launch of Windows 10, with Xbox console sales, revenue, and Xbox Live transactions all increasing. In addition, the company's gaming division saw 27 percent year-over-year growth, and plenty of upcoming video games look appealing.

"Xbox platform revenue increased $86 million or 10 percent," according to a Microsoft report. "[That was] driven by higher volumes of consoles sold, offset in part by lower prices of Xbox Ones sold. Xbox Live transactions revenue increased $205 million or 58 percent, reflecting increased users and revenue per user."

When people think of eSports, they likely don't think of physical injuries that could keep gamers out of major tournaments and high-profile events. However, it looks like repetitive motion injuries are taking their toll, with players reporting tendinitis, tennis elbow, trigger finger, and carpal tunnel syndrome as some of the injuries they're facing.

While the Radeon R9 Fury X is already one of the smallest flagship video cards ever released, the upcoming R9 Nano is going to shrink that down to a whole new level. The R9 Fury X measures in at around 19cm, but the R9 Nano is just 15nm.

How much power does the R9 Nano have behind it? Well, according to some leaked benchmarks, the R9 Nano would feature similar performance to the massive R9 290X, but with half the power consumption. Considering the size of the card, this is quite the achievement, with most of the thanks going to High Bandwidth Memory (HBM). Another benefit over the Fury X is that the Nano features an air-cooler, and not an all-in-one liquid cooler like the Fury X.

Back to the benchmarks, where DGLee from IYD.KR reports that the Unigine Heaven benchmark running at 4K with the R9 Nano pushing out 26FPS. These numbers are from AMD themselves, showing off the bandwidth per stream processor. The R9 290X has 320GB/sec of memory bandwidth, with 2816 stream processors, leaving the R9 290X with 0.1136GB/sec. The R9 Nano with its 4096 stream processors and 512GB/sec bandwidth courtesy of HBM, delivers 0.1250GB/sec. When it comes to the power efficiency, the R9 Nano has 0.152 FPS/watt, while the R9 290X features 0.076 FPS/watt... a large increase in the R9 Nano's favor.

With precious few video games left to adapt to the big screen, Warner Bros. through its subsidiary New Line Cinema have snapped up the rights to the classic Midway arcade game 'Rampage' as a starring vehicle for Dwayne Johnson.

Fresh off the success of this year's disaster flick 'San Andreas', Deadline Hollywood are reporting that the studio is keen to re-team director/star combo Brad Peyton and Dwayne Johnson for the video game epic, which sees three monsters attack buildings, snatching would-be hostages in the process.

The last game in the 'Rampage' franchise; 'Rampage: Total Destruction' was released on the Nintendo Wii console in 2006. The feature film isn't expected to hit cinemas until 2017.

With our exclusive report that AMD would be making just 30,000 units of its HBM-powered Radeon R9 Fury X, the news that it is receiving help from United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) in the form of the company entering volume production of TSVs (Through Silicon Vias) which is used in the production of HBM (High Bandwidth Memory).

AMD has already acknowledged the supply issues of the R9 Fury X, but with the release of the air-cooled Fury and the imminent release of the R9 Nano, these HBM supply issues are only going to get worse. UMC had kept AMD at bay until July 20, where it entered volume production of TSVs, which means the bottleneck that AMD is experiencing, should be gone.

UMC said: "AMD has a successful history of delivering cutting-edge GPU products to market. This volume production milestone is the culmination of UMC's close TSV collaboration with AMD, and we are happy to bring the performance benefits of this technology to help power their new generation of GPU products. We look forward to continuing this fruitful partnership with AMD for years to come".

Any doubt that this year's 'Jurassic Park' sequel 'Jurassic World' wasn't going to be a success seems to be a distant memory now that the film has surpassed 'The Avengers' to become the third highest grossing film of all time, behind James Cameron's 'Avatar' and 'Titanic'.

Universal had an amazing run this summer, with 'Jurassic World' and 'Furious 7' together grossing $3 billion at the worldwide box office - the first time the studio has released a film to more than $1B worldwide.

'Jurassic World' has opened in all markets except Japan where it opens next month and is expected to do business of somewhere around $50 million.

Auto manufacturers are anxious to pack as much infotainment as they can into new vehicles, but that is opening the door to potential security risks. The NCC Group recently informed the BBC they were able to use digital audio broadcasting (DAB) radio signals to launch attacks - a tactic that could be utilized to interfere with how a vehicle's brakes operate.

Chrysler had to release a patch to resolve an issue reported by security researchers, able to demonstrate remote takeover of a vehicle - by sending data to the infotainment and navigation system. Not surprisingly, Chrysler was quick to offer a statement regarding connected vehicle security:

Anonymous has posted a list of accounts suspected of aiding the Islamic State, typically by spreading propaganda and opening up dialogue with possible recruits. Some members are being spammed, while others have been suspended or removed from Twitter.

In addition to Twitter, Anonymous wants to identify Facebook pages, websites, blogs, and the Web proxies used by the Islamic State. One such tactic is using images of the "ISIS-Chan" anime character and using search engine optimization to influence how the accounts are found.

The addition of backward compatibility for the Microsoft Xbox One likely played a part in massive Xbox One sales during the month of June. The company saw a 51 percent year-over-year bump when compared to June 2014, and there was a massive sales boost of 79 percent during E3 week.

In addition to a new controller, game titles and other content to look forward to - Microsoft introduced backward compatibility, so gamers will be able to play their Xbox 360 titles on the Xbox One. Microsoft CFO Amy Hood said the Xbox platform has built momentum in part because of backward compatibility and exclusive games that will be available in time for Christmas.

"June was a good month and I think backwards compatibility matters," Spencer said via Twitter. "Lots of 360 owners deciding when to make the jump, big focus for us."

In a recently issued press release, technology giant Apple bragged a fiscal 2015 third quarter pull of $49.6 billion in revenue and $10.7 billion profit, measuring in at $1.85 per diluted share.

Compared to this time last year when Apple was pulling in $37.4 billion in revenue and a net profit of $7.7 billion, CEO Tim Cook is obviously happy with the results. With the hike explained as gaining assistance thanks to "iPhone revenue [being] up 59 percent" when compared to last year, the "strong sales of Mac, [and] all-time record revenue from services, driven by the App Store, and a great start for Apple Watch" all played a part, said Cook.

Set with eyes on the future, Cook further commented that customers should expect iOS 9, OS X EL Capitan and watchOS2 this coming fall.

Sony Pictures have fed the marketing beast once again, dropping a full trailer for 'Spectre', the much anticipated follow-up to the highest grossing Bond picture of all time; 'Skyfall'.

Starring Daniel Craig reprising his role as secret agent James Bond for the fourth time, 'Spectre' also stars 'Guardians of the Galaxy's David Bautista, Christoph Waltz as mysterious bad guy Oberhauser and Italian siren Monica Belucci as femme fatale Lucia Sciarra.

The 'Spectre' world premiere on October 26th will kick off the film's worldwide release schedule, which hits Australia a little later on November 12th.

If the latest report from The Wall Street Journal turns out to be true, Qualcomm could be the next big tech giant to look at a strategic split. The company is reportedly in the process of a sweeping review that would look at the possibilities of breaking up into pieces.

In the recent months, Jana partners LLC has been asking Qualcomm to cut costs, repurchase shares at a faster rate, add new members to its board of directors, and explore a break up, after it was revealed it had a $2 billion stake in Qualcomm. The strategic split would see Qualcomm cutting up and separating its chip production business from its patent-licensing arm.

Qualcomm is expected to report its fiscal Q3 results on Wednesday, and according to The Information, the company will lay off around 10% of its global workforce, resulting in 3000 jobs being cut.

It was only last month that Disney/Pixar gave audiences the first look at their upcoming feature 'The Good Dinosaur', but following the release of 'Inside Out', the studio is keen to pump fans up for the second release for 2015.

The mix of bright cartoon-style characters with photo-realistic background seems an interesting visual look, but the film's premise; an alternate reality where an asteroid didn't wipe out the dinosaurs 65 million years ago, and humans and dinosaurs evolved together could make for a very interesting narrative.

'The Good Dinosaur' hits 2D and 3D screens worldwide from November 25th 2015.

Warner Bros. have been working on a feature film adaptation for some time now and with the multi-platform hit going from strength to strength, the studio has decided to move forward on the film with a new director.

According to SlashFilm, the studio and Mojang have settled on 'It's always sunny in Philadelphia' director Rob McElhenney to take the project forward.

With the project still in the early stages of formulation, fans shouldn't expect the film until 2017 at the earliest. 'Real Steel' and 'Night at the Museum' director Shawn Levy was previously attached to the project, but parties decided to part ways at the end of 2015.
