We knew it was coming, but the date was always a mystery... but now DigiTimes is reporting that Taiwan-based AIB partners of NVIDIA and AMD are expecting that the cryptocurrency mining demand will deflate, driving down demand for GeForce and Radeon graphics cards.

Why? Well, Bitmain is releasing their Ethereum ASIC miner which kicks GPU mining's ass... with the Antminer E3 coming soon. DigiTimes reports that "Quite a few mining farm operators have even stopped purchasing graphic cards, as they are awaiting the rollout of Ethereum mining machines by China's Bitmain in the third quarter of 2018. They anticipate mining rewards to pick up gradually in the third quarter, as Bitcoin and Ethereum values may rebound following sharp declines seen in early 2018, the sources indicated".

This doesn't mean that NVIDIA and AMD are dropping the prices of their GPUs, it means that retailers won't be able to siphon as much profits from their cards in this mining boom that is deflating. Bitmain is handling that almost single handedly with their Ethereum ASIC miners impending release.

Samsung has just announced its new range of 4K LED theatrical screens that it has branded Onyx, promising cinema goers, directors and studio bosses to enjoy pure blacks on-screen.

The new Samsung Onyx comes in at a large 34-feet with full 4096 x 2160 resolution that provides a much higher-end image with improved colors than the normal 2K projection. Onyx can pump out 2K, 4K, 3D, and HDR with Samsung unveiling the first US locations for Onyx screens at Pacific Theatres Winnetka in Chatsworth, California, just north of Los Angeles.

Samsung is aiming at a few different markets with its Onyx screen, as it is really just a super massive 4K TV that will get built into not just movie theater walls, but other places as well. When it's used in a cinema, it rocks a custom JBL sound system that ensures people will get out-of-the-box audio. The company hopes to see it used for dine-in theatrical experiences, eSports and live gaming events, and more.

BioWare's next Dragon Age game is in the works, but with its new juggernaut release Anthem on the horizon, the game could take some time before it releases...but it also could be a big AAA mainline game.

We've known for a while that BioWare is making a new Dragon Age game, and that Sunless Sea's Alexis Kennedy is helping the devs write a portion of the game. All of the info we know so far strongly hints the game will be a big-budget affair versus a smaller-scale spin-off (Mass Effect: Andromeda's failures notwithstanding). Now BioWare's Mark Darrah might've just hinted the game is a direct sequel.

In a long Twitter thread chronicling Darrah's development career, the BioWare dev outlined everything that led up to his current position as Executive Producer on Anthem, the studio's massively ambitious new online-based action-RPG. At the very end he directly refers to the next Dragon Age game as "DA4", and says that he's the exec producer on that project too.

343 Industries could be working on bringing authentic Halo multiplayer to PC in some form--could it be Halo: Master Chief Collection or maybe an official worldwide rollout of Halo Online?

In its official statement surrounding the unauthorized Eldewrito Halo Online PC mod 343i both confirmed the mod itself will be put on hiatus while saying something else quite interesting: the team is excited about bringing an "official classic Halo experience" to PC at some point. In fact the Halo devs are so impressed with Eldewrito's most recently 0.6 update that they want to team up with the team in a bid to broaden community-driven tools and creations across the Halo fanbase.

Here's 343i's full statement on the matter: "One thing remains clear - the community really wants more Halo on PC. As we look ahead, we're very excited about the prospects of an official classic Halo experience making its way to PC and we hope to be able to partner with the ElDewrito team and broader mod and content creation community to help inform the types of experiences and features our fans desire. While we have nothing to announce today, please know that the PC community is very important to us and top of mind as we work towards the future," the developers said in the post.

Halo Online, which brought an authentic Halo 3 multiplayer experience to PC, has been resurrected and revamped thanks to the most recent Eldewrito 0.6 update...but Microsoft and 343i are taking measures to get it yanked offline.

In a blog post 343 Industries says it has a "non-optional" obligation to protect its intellectual property, and that the Eldewrito project directly violates its IP rights because it was built on company-owned assets and content that weren't technically released. Unlike Installation 01, which is built on its own game engine and fits in line with Microsoft's rules, Eldewrito is built on the Halo Online game that was built by 343i and Saber Interactive and only available in Russia.

"While we are humbled and inspired to see the amount of passion poured into this project, the fact remains that it's built upon Microsoft-owned assets that were never lawfully released or authorized for this purpose. As this project reverberated across the community, our team took a step back to assess the materials and explore possible avenues, while Microsoft, like any company, has a responsibility to protect its IP, code and trademarks. It's not optional in other words."

Early March during the Nintendo Direct we discovered that South Park: The Fractured But Whole was on its way to the Nintendo Switch, now the title has officially launched and Ubisoft are celebrating with a new trailer.

From the above trailer we can see two minutes of South Park: The Fractured But Whole running on the Nintendo Switch. Thanks to the games art style, players won't really be able to notice the visual downscales.

Also during the Nintendo Direct, it was revealed that the port will be coming with the titles DLC, unfortunately there has been no mention of the DLC as we were not given a release date with the launch.

We had some confusion not to long ago about Bandai Namco bringing Dark Souls Remastered discounted to gamers that already own the original title, now official confirmation has been announced.

Publisher Bandai Namco has revealed on Twitter that "owners of the PC version of "Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition" will be able to upgrade to "DARK SOULS REMASTERED" at a discounted price. Please feel free to take advantage of this campaign."

Additionally, Bandai has also revealed not only the PC requirements for the title but also have released a new gameplay trailer for fans. Dark Souls Remastered will be released on May 25th for PC, Xbox One and PS4. The Nintendo Switch version of the Remaster has been delayed until further notice.

Nintendo Switch fans will be glad to know that Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus will be arriving on their handheld console this year, as Bethesda announced the date through a short Nintendo Switch trailer for the title.

Bethesda has released the above trailer showcasing what Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus will be looking like on the Nintendo Switch. At the beginning of the month we saw gameplay of the title running on the Switch and we discovered that the game will be running at a smooth 30FPS with the respective downscaling.

Panic Button will be porting over the title to the Nintendo Switch, the same developers who have brought over DOOM. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus will be arriving to Nintendo Switch fans on June 29.

LG's new flagship G7 ThinQ smartphone is right around the corner, something that will launch next month. With the early tease, LG has said that the G7 ThinQ will rock a 6.1-inch panel with a native resolution of 3120 x 1440.

The 6.1-inch display has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, something that includes a notch at the top of the display just like the iPhone X, that most people hate. Evan Blass who goes by @evleaks on Twitter, is behind the new leak (seriously, he gets all the scoops, he's a champ) which gives us two new shots to look at, the first of which is above - the G7 ThinQ itself.

LG is shoving in some serious display chops into the G7 ThinQ and its 6.1-inch QHD+ panel that has up to 1000 nits of brightness, which is retina-busting compared to the 400-700 nits on most flagship smartphones. LG might even be able to market the G7 ThinQ as a display that looks great even outdoors in the sunlight.

H1Z1 started the entire Battle Royale thing years ago before PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Fortnite were born, with the game arriving on the PS4 on May 22 in beta form.

The game will still be a free-to-play title with cosmetic items costing you money, but the developer has made some tweaks to H1Z1 for the PS4 that will see new progression mechanics that will speed the game up. This means the deadly gas that is like the zone in PUBG has been increased, while airdrop frequency is faster.

H1Z1 will have a surprise for PS4 Pro owners with 'resolution gains' over the PS4 version, and guaranteed 60FPS gameplay, something the team has "fully optimized" the code for. The normal PS4 will run at a minimum of 45FPS, which is nothing to sneeze at. With the tweaks that the developer has made to the PS4 version of H1Z1, we should expect a Battlegrounds like experience with the speed of Fortnite, with matches lasting for around 15 minutes or so.

Now we have Ashland University in Ohio announcing they will be adding Fortnite to their roster of competitive eSports program, something that will launch in the fall. Fortnite other eSports games like League of Legends, Overwatch, CS:GO, and Rocket League where AU offers a $4000 scholarship in eSports.

Ashland University's eSports head coach Josh Buchanan said in a press release: "Fortnite appeals to both the core and casual gaming audience. Now that Battlefield V is on the way for 2018, DICE will stop releasing content updates for Battlefield 1 in a few months.

EA and DICE have been pretty consistent on their content roadmap for Battlefield 1, releasing a steady stream of DLCs, tweaks, and modes to keep their playerbase engaged. But all of that will cease starting in June.

Now-liquidated games-maker Terminal Reality is suing Microsoft for patent infringement that spans back to the Xbox 360 era.

According to the lengthy suite, Microsoft knowingly infringed on Terminal Reality's "Lighting and Shadowing Methods and Arrangements for use in Computer Graphic Simulations" patent (aka the '488 Patent) that the developer made as part of its Infernal Engine. The plaintiffs assert that Microsoft has and continues to employ unauthorized use of its lighting and shadow patent.

According to the document, the Infernal Engine was used in part or whole in a number of huge new and old Xbox games including Halo: Reach and even Halo 5 and Crackdown 3.

Twitch has announced extensions, a new in-stream add-on that allows viewers to participate in mini-games and other engaging activities by spending bits.

The new Twitch Extensions feature is essentially a kind of storefront for various content that spectators can play and engage in while watching a stream. How it works is streamers grab the extension from Twitch's growing offering and put it on their channel. These extensions are overlays that range from on-screen trivia to actual mini-games, and are monetized sort of like a coin-op arcade: viewers have to pay bits to play or participate every round.

Extensions give streamers and app devs alike new possibilities and potential to not only engage a millions-strong playerbase, but also monetize said engagement, which is where Twitch--and other streaming platforms--are aiming. It's an interesting way for users to interact with their favorite streaming personalities and gives streamers new ideas on how to return the favor with entertaining content.

Devilish Games has announced on their blog that they will be bringing Path to Mnemosyne to the Nintendo Switch as well as other game consoles.

Devilish Games announced that they have "reached [to] an agreement with Hidden Trap to bring Path to Mnemosyne to game consoles" For those that don't know what Path to Mnemosyne is about, it is a title that is "a hypnotic adventure created within an infinite zoom! Walk the path, explore your mind, and recover all lost memories by solving dozens of imaginative puzzles."

Path to Mnemosyne will be arriving on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch, there is currently no official release date as of yet but the co-founder of Devilish Games did comment on the porting process with Hidden Trap. Here is what he had to say "We are really excited about the agreement we have reached with Hidden Trap to bring the game to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Although they are a very young publisher, we have known their team for many years, we have a great relationship with them and we know that they will do a great job with the Path to Mnemosyne ports and will help us a lot to reach as many people as possible."

An announcement for Adventure Time: Pirates Of The Enchiridion has been spotted on Twitter from Outright Games, the post read that there will be some vital information released regarding the upcoming Adventure Time title this Thursday.

Last December we got confirmation that Adventure Time: Pirates Of The Enchiridion will be an open-world RPG, then we saw some gameplay leaked footage through a short video released on a YouTube channel. Now, Outright Games has tweeted that they have some "ALGEBRAIC NEWS ABOUT ADVENTURE TIME: PIRATES OF THE ENCHIRIDION" which could suggest that the date for the title will be revealed this Thursday.

Judging by the pre-alpha footage we saw about 2 weeks ago, this announcement will most likely either be a delayed release date as the gameplay footage we saw really did seem bare-bones. The announcement from Outright Games will arrive in 3 days on their Twitter page.

If you are one of the people that grabbed the God of War Special Editions you should of noticed by now that there is runes on the inside of the SteelBook case. These runes have already been translated thanks to a Reddit user.

The Reddit user Wolfstrong1995, translated the runes that have been used by Santa Monica studios which can be dated backed to the Germanic tribes of the 2nd to 8th centuries, called Elder Futhark. If you are wondering if there is any spoilers for the game, I can confirm now that there isn't, below you will find the an image translated as well as the translation in English.

The translation reads as follows: "This is the story of a bear and a wolf, who wandered the realms nine to fulfill a promise of one before; they walk the twilight path, destined to discower (discover) the truth that is to come."

Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia has been gifted with a new cinematic trailer, the release by SEGA and Creative Assembly is titled Land of Hope and details the setting of the game.

For those that do not know about the next release of the Total War series here is a description from director of the title, Jack Lusted: "It was under Alfred the Great and his immediate successors that a unified Anglo-Saxon kingdom was first forged. As the only major kingdom left standing after the Viking Invasion, it was under the banner of Wessex that the lands the Great Viking Army had conquered, known as the Danelaw, were retaken. The name of this kingdom changed from Wessex to England."
