Borderlands 3 is overheating Xbox consoles
Borderlands 3 might be overheating Xbox One consoles, or at least triggering an erroneous overheating message.
First Borderlands 3 players had their saves deleted or corrupted on PC, now Xbox gamers are reporting hardware issues while playing the game. Multiple Redditors say their consoles are turning off during specific cutscenes, and the systems are showing overheating error messages upon reboot.
"After beating Shiv and moving on to the next area, my Xbox is doing something similar. I play on the X and when you get into the next cutscene, right as the camera pans up with the guy scratching his ass, my Xbox completely powers off. Exact same frame every time. And when I turn it back on it tells me it overheated which is not the case.

Valve bans Dota 2 players for up to 19 years
Valve is cracking down hard on bad behavior in Dota 2, banning players until the year 2038.
Consistently abusive Dota 2 players can face a huge 19 year ban on their favorite MOBA. Valve is dishing out bans with the maximum penalty possible to punish foul-mouthed and toxic gamers in an attempt to purge Dota 2's community. The news was outlined in a recent Dota 2 blog post and promises to exile players with "exceptionally low behavior scores." Valve will also ban you for buying Steam accounts, too.
The post further details potential role-specific bans for gamers who queue up and don't play their role. Gamers can now report others for abusing their roles, and Valve will collect this info and take action when needed.

Anthem is winding down into maintenance mode
BioWare doesn't seem confident in Anthem's long-term future, strongly hinting it's lifecycle is winding down.
Anthem needs to die out, and live games are laid to rest in two ways: thrashing, grueling deaths that are abrupt, or slow wind-downs where content is stretched thinner and thinner before it finally stops and the game is retired. Now it appears BioWare is starting the latter option with Anthem.
In a recent blog update, BioWare confirmed two things: They don't know where Anthem's future lays, and they're no longer following the original free expansion roadmap. The developer doesn't seem to have confidence in Anthem's long-term future, which could be a good thing altogether.

Bill Murray might return in Ghostbusters 3
Bill Murray might reprise his role as Dr. Peter Venkman in Ghostbusters 3, but nothing's been set in stone yet.

Due out in 2020, Reitman senior recently revealed new details on the sequel and confirmed it's a story about family and the passing of the torch onto a younger generation. Old stars like Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson are set to return alongside other familiar faces...but what about Bill Murray?
"It's going to be Ghostbusters the third movie. It'll be most of the original people, some from the original movie. We're hoping Bill Murray's going to be in it. And the new cast as well," Aykroyd said on a recent Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

Lord of the Rings TV show is filmed the same spot as Jackson's trilogy
Amazon has taken one out of Jackson's book and will be using same location to film their upcoming Lord of the Rings (LOTR) TV show.
Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy is acknowledged as a masterpiece of cinema, and a massive part of that is the sets that were used to shoot the film. According to an announcement from Amazon, the filming for their LOTR TV show will take place in Auckland, New Zealand. While details of the specific locations were left out of the announcement, we do know that the filming sets will depict that of Tolkien's Second Age.
Here is what the showrunners and executive producers J.D Payne and Patrick McKay had to say "As we searched for the location in which we could bring to life the primordial beauty of the Second Age of Middle-earth, we knew we needed to find somewhere majestic, with pristine coasts, forests, and mountains, that also is a home to world-class sets, studios, and highly skilled and experienced craftspeople and other staff. And we're happy that we are now able to officially confirm New Zealand as our home for our series based on stories from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings".

Joker's Movie director says 'who gives a SH*T' about the leaked script
In this day and age, leaks from big name companies happen all the time and in several different formats. Unfortunately, a leak happened for the Joker movie, but the director has said that he actually doesn't mind.
Todd Phillips, the director of the Joker movie starring Joaquin Phoenix has spoke out about the leaked transcript for his movie, saying to GameSpot "I don't care that you read it--I like that it's out there." He also said to GameSpot that he enjoys the idea that people are even interested in his work enough to read the leaked script and that the script people are reading is actually six months old.
"The leaked script got leaked six months after we started writing, six months before we started shooting", said Phillips. "Somebody else asked me about it, and I go, 'I like that it's out there. Throw 'em off. Go that way.' Literally, that script that went out was an April draft. We started shooting the movie in September. That's six months of writing--that's half the writing process." It seems that Phillips already knows that whatever is in the leaked script won't spoil or ruin the movie since its already in cinemas.

CNBC has said that Facebook has now partnered up with Luxottica, the owner of Ray-Ban, Oakley and other big companies in the eye-wear industry. The contacts close to the deal have said that these companies are planning on building the 'next mobile phone' in the form of augmented reality glasses that would allow for users to make calls, see information, livestream what you are seeing, while also features apps and more.

Tucker Carlson covered the subject on his segment on Fox News, shocked that "no one is paying attention to this" as it is a "watershed moment". The military is now admitting it, and Carlson rightfully asks "why is this not page one news, everywhere?!"
Carlson reports that the US government "admitting they have no idea what these things are, they're probably not some Russian super-plane... and nobody is paying attention to this. This seems like a watershed moment. We have all this tape, with objects defying the known laws of physics right next to US military installations".

Russian lab holding smallpox virus EXPLODES
The word explosion is not what you want to hear when you read news about the smallpox virus, but an explosion has rocked Russia's State Research Center of Virology and Biotechnology on Monday.
The facility is only one of two places on the planet that actually houses live smallpox samples on-hand, so an explosion has officials concerned. Russian news agency TASS reports that the explosion and post-explosion fire were caused during "routine maintenance" of the facility.
No hazardous pathogens were released, if you trust Russia that is, while one worker at the facility was injured in the explosion and is at a local hospital getting treated for burns.

Samsung could merge Galaxy S and Galaxy Note brands in 2020
Samsung released its yearly Galaxy S and Galaxy Note successors this year, with a family of devices in the Galaxy S10 range as well as a family of handsets in the new Galaxy Note 10 range.
But according to the latest rumors the company could merge the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note lines in 2020, while separating its newer Galaxy Fold -- which will grow into its own family next year following the just-released fixed version of the Galaxy Fold smartphone.
Evan 'evleaks' Blass is back again with the leak according to a "solid source" of his Samsung will "eliminate the distinction" between the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note smartphones. We don't know what this means exactly, but we should expect the phones to maybe join forces in 2020 in a big way.

So, Tinder is making a TV show set in an 'impending apocalypse'
Tinder... yes, Tinder is reportedly making its own TV show with steaks of Black Mirror: Bandersnatch in the way that it is a choose-your-own-adventure-style original series.

Blue unveils its new Yeti X mic: features real-time LED metering
If you need a new high-quality microphone then you might want to check out Blue's latest USB microphone -- the new Yeti X. Check out the overview video below:
Blue's new Yeti X has one new superpower: its new real-time LED metering on the microphone itself, which will show you when your gain is too low during a livestream or recording. The huge knob on the front of the Yeti X is the new command center, where you'll be able to tweak it between its three internal modes.
You'll be able to hold the knob (sounds weird, but you know what I mean -- get your head out of the gutter) for two seconds to flex between modes, while the other controls the volume. You can also use blend mode, which will balance between gameplay audio and your commentary, both requiring different voice pitches and levels.

Ex-Google staffer says 'killer robots' could accidentally start a WAR
We all know the world will not end because of climate change or global warming, or whatever they start blaming next year... but rather, ourselves. We will do it to the human race -- humans, and while it might not be us directly... we'll blow the world to sh*t indirectly.
Laura Nolan, an ex-Google staffer that resigned in 2018 over protesting having to work on a project that would see big changes to the US drone program -- has said that AI robots that aren't operated by humans, should be banned. Nolan said that robots that aren't human-controlled should be outlawed, in the same way chemical weapons are kept under control over an international treaty.
Nolan was hired by Google back in 2017 to work on Project Maven, which saw Google working with the US Department of Defense on the AI project. Over 3000 Google employees ended up signing a petition against the involvement between the search giant and the US DOD that would see improvements to drone strikes killing more people abroad.

Sony owns Insomniac IPs, but a Sunset Overdrive sequel may not happen
Sony now commands Insomniac's full IP library, including Sunset Overdrive. But Microsoft might still own the publishing rights.
Now that Sony wholly owns Insomniac Games, the company has access to the games-maker's fleet of IPs. Sony's Shuhei Yoshida underlined the news, giving hope to Sunset Overdrive fans who've been clamoring for a sequel. "SIE holds the rights to past Insomniac works. Do gamers want to see Sunset Ovedrive on PlayStation?" Yoshida said in an interview with Inside Games.
But there's one potential fly in the ointment. Sony might own the IPs themselves now that Insomniac is a first-party studio, but they might not have the other missing half of the puzzle: publishing rights. Sunset Overdrive was a Microsoft-published game on Xbox One, meaning Microsoft owned the publishing rights. We're not sure if the rights have reverted back to Insomniac yet. If they have, a sequel could happen, and we could see the first game drop on PS4. If not, then Microsoft will sit on the rights until they expire.
