Lenovo rumored Legion gaming phone would join ASUS and Razer
Lenovo is rumored to be throwing its hat into the gaming smartphone ring, joining the likes of ASUS and Razer with their feature-packed and super-powered gaming smartphones.
The rumor is coming from a post on Chinese social networking site Weibo, which teases that Lenovo is working on a high-end gaming smartphone that would be launched under its gaming brand Legion. The post itself is from a new Weibo account under the Legion brand, with the account verified and owned by Lenovo Mobile Communications Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd.
This could all be rumors and hearsay, but if we trust the verified account and that it's owned by Lenovo -- it looks like it could be the real deal. We also know, according to previous rumors, that Lenovo was working on a new high-end smartphone powered by the then-flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chip... but now Qualcomm has its new Snapdragon 865 launching in 2020. We should expect Lenovo to pack the new Snapdragon 865 into its new Legion gaming phone.

Intel Core i9-10900K: 3.7GHz base clock and 'velocity boost' of 5.3GHz
Intel is preparing its new range of 10th Gen CPUs for 2020, with VideoCardz tweeting out some juicy information on the upcoming Intel Core i9-10900K processor and its clock speeds.
According to this tweet from VideoCardz the Intel Core i9-10900K will have a base CPU clock of 3.7GHz, single turbo of 5.1GHz, max turbo boost of 5.2GHz and a mysterious new 'velocity boost' of 5.3GHz. The new velocity boost is something that isn't quite that new -- but it will be for most people.
Intel has used Thermal Velocity Boost (TVB) previously in notebook CPU designs, but it seems it could be skipping the silicon pond into the desktop CPU realm with its new Core i9-10900K (and I'm sure, other 10th Gen CPU designs). If the tweet from VideoCardz is correct, the Thermal Velocity Boost on the Core i9-10900K will be 5.3GHz.

Teslasuit VR gloves go perfectly with full-body VR suit
If you want the most insane VR setup imaginable, it would have to be a full-body VR suit and VR gloves -- thankfully, Teslasuit has your back, and well, every other part of your body.
Teslasuit has just announced its new Teslasuit Glove, a new physical pair of gloves that you wear that detect the movement of its user (or in this case, wearer) and provide them with tactile feedback. You can use the glove on its own or with the full VR suit, if you want the full experience.
Teslasuit explains that with its new Glove, wearers can even feel virtual textures thanks to its packed-in "haptics, motion capture, biometry and force feedback". Teslasuit can see its future full-body VR suit and gloves used in tele-control systems or for medical rehabilitation, which the company adds it can even monitor wearers' stress levels and heart rate in real-time, too. I can see these being used for next-gen paintball matches, without the physical pain (or at least much less) of paintball exploding on your body.

Physicists discover how to make a second Sun, unlimited energy soon?
With the planet becoming more and more demanding on energy, physicists already began exploring ways of creating unlimited energy. Now, we could be on the brink of unlocking it.
The Sun, our main source of energy in the solar system, generates its energy by nuclear fusion of hydrogen nuclei into helium. At the Sun's core, 500 million metric tons of hydrogen are fused each second, emitting massive amounts of energy. Physicists for some time have been trying to attempt to replicate this same principle of nuclear fusion on Earth, and if that is achieved, we can expect an unlimited supply of electricity.
According to scientists from the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL), boron powder has been injected into the plasma allowing for more control of the experiment, a lowering in greenhouse gas emissions, and removal of long-term radioactive waste. Adding boron powder to the mix of plasma prevents the tungsten in tokamak (fusion facilities) walls from interacting with the plasma.

Here's an animation of what Earth will look like in 250 million years
Have you ever wondered what Earth would look like hundreds of millions of years from now? Scientists wondered the same thing and decided to great a great animated video of what our blue planet would appear to look like.
General science dictates that the entire Earth is divided into several tectonic plates that are floating on top molten rock. When these tectonic plates bump, we experience large scale earthquakes, sometimes resulting in tsunamis, depending on how big the 'bump' is.
Chris Scotese, a professor with Northwestern University's Dept. of Earth and Planetary Sciences studies the planets plate tectonics and how Earth's appearance will change in the future. On his YouTube channel, he has created an animated video showcasing how Earth will change in the millions of years to come, all the way up to 250 million years plus.

Russians replicate Tesla's Cybertruck, it's gas powered & has no doors
If you have been out of the Tesla news loop, then you should know that the company recently revealed its new Cybertruck.
Tesla is selling their electric Cybertruck for $39,990 and $76,900, but if that sounds too expensive for you, then you could always pick-up these Russian YouTuber's knock-off version. Russian YouTube channel "Pushka Garazh" or "Gun Garage" in English created a replica of the Cybertruck but with some considerable;e differences that make up for the price difference.
The Russians took an old Russian car owned by one of the fellow YouTubers and spent about $1,300 on doing up the exterior to look very, very similar to the Cybertruck. What isn't the same as the Cybertruck is that the Russian version is not electric, and it doesn't have any doors. The only way to get into the replica is via a single large hatch in the rear of the car. The YouTubers have reportedly put the Cybertruck recreation up for sale for $10,700, or 666,666 rubles.

The decades last eclipse was a 'Ring of Fire' that captivated millions
Just as we are about to close out the decade, we have been blessed by the annual solar eclipse. This year the Moon passed in front of the Sun to create a "Ring of Fire" effect.
People in the Eastern Hemisphere would have been star-struck as the Moon passed in front of the Sun, covering the face of the star. Due to the Moon being much smaller than the Sun and the position of Earth at the time, the leftover light emitting from Sun bled around the sides of the Moon, creating that gorgeous "Ring of Fire" effect.
According to Alexander Krivenyshev, the man who took the above image, "It was an amazing experience. This morning's annular eclipse was during sunrise, with some sand dust by the horizon. [A] beautiful, really beautiful, classic 'Ring of Fire' above Saudi Arabia." Not only did people on the ground enjoy the light display, but so did the astronauts in the International Space Station. Astronaut Jessica Meir posted several images of the show the Moon was casting on Earth on her Twitter account, check out those images in the entirety of this article.

A new Japanese trailer for the upcoming Sonic The Hedgehog movie, has revealed an adorable baby Sonic. Check it out below.
The trailer which has been released onto Paramount Japan introduces us to Sonic's home planet, where he is doing what he does best, running fast, and doing awesome courses. Even though this trailer is only a short minute, we get to see Sonic as a baby, and boy is he cute!
Is baby Sonic cuter than baby Yoda? If you didn't know, the Sonic The Hedgehog movie underwent a redesign of the character Sonic. This decision was made after the first trailer for the movie was released, and fans were appalled at what their favorite blue hedgehog looked like. The redesign has been finished, and we have Sonic Mania's lead designer to thank for the accurate representation we have now. The Sonic The Hedgehog movie will be racing onto cinema screens on February 13th.

Testing begins on urban attack drones equipped with rocket launchers
Urban attack drones equipped with rocket launchers and night vision are currently being tested in none other than China.
According to Mashable, a Chinese company that is a subsidiary of a state-owned aerospace company is currently in the middle of developing a tiny attack drone designed for urban locations. This drone has been titled "Tianyi" and is a quad-copter that is primarily designed for unnamed reconnaissance missions.
The drone also has the capability of doing close-range strikes against people and armored vehicles. Equipped with infrared lasers for nighttime operations, and armed with 50mm rockets that can be fired from 1km away, manufacturers are hoping they can mass produce "Tianyi" and sell it to Western countries.

Xenosaga remasters won't happen, Bandai Namco says
A remaster of the original PS2 Xenosaga trilogy was originally planned, but Bandai Namco cancelled at the last minute.
Xenosaga fans will be waiting a long time for an HD re-release or remaster collection. According to Katsuhiro Harada, who now helms game direction at Bandai Namco, the project just wouldn't be commercially viable. In short, the Xenogears JPRGs are just too niche, and trilogy remaster would cost more money than it'd make.
"This actually progressed to the remaster's plan, but failed in a profitable market analysis. Sorry guys, This plan will be difficult to resurface...," Harada said on Twitter.

GTA V was in top US game sales charts for 74 months since launch
Grand Theft Auto V's chart-topping dominance is absolutely massive: In the last 10 years, GTA V saw the most time in the United States' top 20 best-selling games.
GTA V has been in the U.S.' top 20 best-sellers for 74 months straight, beating mega-hits like Minecraft and Mario Kart 8, NPD analyst Mat Piscatella reports. This makes it the longest-running chart-topper in the last decade. Since 2013, GTA V has spanned two console generations and a PC release, all of which were monetized with full game sales and the microtransaction-based GTA Online.
"Reviewing The NPD Group's US top 20 best-selling Video Games by month for the 2010's and this fact still blows my mind... GTAV has charted in 74 of the 75 months since its debut in Sep '13, including hitting #19 in Nov '19. Absolutely unprecedented," Piscatella said.

How Control helped evolve Remedy's Northlight Engine
To make Control, Remedy had to completely overhaul and iterate upon its Northlight games engine. The result is a new-and-improved engine that's more adaptable than ever.
In many ways, Control is a departure for Remedy and unleashes the dev's true potential. It's not a strictly linear experience like Quantum Break or Max Payne. Control is kind of Metroidvania, allowing you to choose your own path in an open-ended space full of opportunity for unique playthroughs (case in point, I didn't get Jesse's shield power until roughly 50-60% into the game). To get to that flexible point, Remedy had to break their games engine and put it back together.
"It now seems obvious, but it was a long and winding road. After Quantum Break, our engine underwent a complete overhaul, we set out to design and build everything again, based on our main creative pillars. This is the main reason why nothing works like in Quantum Break," Control senior game designer Sergey Mohov said in a ResetERA Q&A.

Death Stranding explained by early concept pitches
Kojima's early presentations for Death Stranding succinctly outline the game's main themes and focus.
Death Stranding is a confusing game. We have lots of coverage explaining what the game actually is, but everyday gamers are still intrigued by its mysterious overtones. Others, however, are deterred from the cryptic features and think it's just too weird.
Kojima's game is weird, but it also has a backbone, and some recently published concept materials show how Kojima guided his team towards his vision. The internal presentation is very clear on Death Stranding's main points: a communal multiplayer where players share progress and worlds without actually playing together, creating a unique kind of connectivity.

King Kong-sized meteor just whizzed passed Earth on Christmas Day
While you would originally be thinking that it would be Santa Claus landing on your roof on Christmas Day, it very well could of been a meteor the size of King Kong.
The meteor which is called 2019 YB1 was scheduled to have a near miss with Earth on Christmas Day at around 11:41 GMT. NASA says that the space rock is estimated to be anywhere between 13 and 28 meters in diameter (almost 100 feet).
How close was it to colliding with Earth's atmosphere and breaking up? Estimations indicate that 2019 YB1 was about 993,000 miles from our planet, and while that might sound like quite the distance NASA says that this encounter falls under "close approach". At the time of its passing, 2019 YB1 was hurdling through space at 12,303 mph.

Russia says it successfully tested a countrywide internet alternative
The internet seems to be breaking up, in terms of countries separating themselves from global internet infrastructure.
Russia seems to be the next country that will join China and Iran in censoring any content that is present on their network. This censoring task will become much easier as Russia is moving towards having their own countrywide internet, or at least that is what Russia's Ministry of Communications announced.
According to an article from the BBC, Russia says it successfully tested its own internet connection, and users on the network barely experienced any changes. Russia will also be moving towards monitoring any content on its new internet, much like China's Great Firewall or Iran's state-owned Telecommunication Company.

Grand Theft Auto 6 rumored for Fall 2021: misses PS5, new Xbox launch
It seems that the holiday season is the perfect time for a bunch of Grand Theft Auto 6 news, with rumors flying that Rockstar Games will base GTA 6 in Jamaica, and Columbia.
But now we have news that Grand Theft Auto 6 will launch in Fall 2021, missing the launch of Sony's new PlayStation 5 and Microsoft's new Xbox Series X consoles which will be launching in late 2020. I just reported a new rumor that Microsoft will price its new Xbox Series X console at $499, while Sony is rumored to also slap a $499 price on its PlayStation 5.
Twitter user PSErebus tweeted that "Grand Theft Auto VI from developer Rockstar Games is currently scheduled to be released in Fall 2021". With both of the next-generation consoles in the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 launching in late-2020, Rockstar will miss the all-important launch window and mega sales that would be like a major star alignment. But... Grand Theft Auto 6 is also so big on its own that it doesn't matter, it'll sell 10s of millions of copies no matter what.

Xbox Series X rumor: launching November 22 for $499
Microsoft has announced and detailed (at least, in part) its next-generation Xbox Series X console, but the one detail that Microsoft hasn't been clear on just yet... is price.
Xbox Series X is a powerful console packing a semi-custom chip based on the Zen 2 architecture and not-yet-released RDNA 2-based GPU solution -- but we could be very surprised on the price. According to a new leak on 4chan -- yeah, I know -- we are to expect Microsoft to price the Xbox Series X at $499. This is the same price as the rumored PlayStation 5 pricing at $499.
It sounds nuts, but Microsoft is no stranger to selling their Xbox console at a loss -- look at the many billions of dollars it lost in selling the original Xbox. It might have cost billions at first, but it sold millions of Xbox console and pushed Microsoft right into the battle with Sony and the PlayStation 2 at the time.

Grand Theft Auto 6 could be based in Jamaica, Colombia
Rockstar Games will break the gaming world when it launches Grand Theft Auto 6, something that I broke the news on all the way back in February 2015.
But now, we're hearing about where Grand Theft Auto 6 will be set, with rumors flying that Rockstar will set GTA 6 somewhere like South America. The news on Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming from Rockstar sending out Christmas presents to their staff... and some eagle-eyed readers.
One of the Rockstar Games employees posted their present on Twitter, with a bunch of badges that include Rockstar logos on top of the Jamaican and Colombian flags. This has led people to believe that Grand Theft Auto 6 could take place in both South America and Colombia.
