Samsung and Netflix team up for exclusive content for Galaxy S20
Samsung has just unveiled their family of Galaxy S20 smartphones at its own Unpacked event, where Netflix walked up on stage to announce it had partnered with Samsung on some new exclusive content for Samsung's new smartphones.
Netflix Chief Marketing Officer, Jackie Lee-Joe, said: "The mission of this partnership to make the Netflix viewing experience on Samsung mobile the absolute best it can be". Netflix has now become Samsung's entertainment partner, with Netflix announcing that "product integration will be improved".
What does this mean exactly? It means that Samsung's virtual assistant will be capable of searching for, and playing content on Netflix. Not only that, but the dedicated bonus content for Samsung's new smartphones will hopefully be announced in the near future. Samsung explained: "Users can also discover Netflix's best-in-class content through improved integration with Galaxy devices, enabling ease of content discovery and accessibility via Samsung Daily, Bixby, and Finder".

Motorola foldable Razr arrives in gold this spring
Motorola's new foldable Razr is officially on the market, but what if you didn't want it in its all-black affair? Well, you're in luck as the new Razr is being made in gold.
Motorola has just announced that a new "Blush Gold" version of the foldable Razr, but there will be no other changes. It's just a new style of the Razr, for those who aren't happy with the black style of the original style of the stock Razr. The new "Blush Gold" design is only on the bottom half of the phone and the ring around the rear-facing camera, as well as the bottom wedge of the Razr when it's opened up.
The new "Blush Gold" edition of the Motorola Razr smartphone will be available in spring, but between now and then you should check out the Motorola Razr teardown and JerryRigEverything's total annihilation of the Razr using a real-life razor, sand, and even fire on it to destroy it.

Motorola foldable Razr gets glorious teardown treatment
Now that Motorola's new foldable Razr smartphone is out in the wild, it has received the JerryRigEverything torture tests with a razor, sand and even fire -- as well as a teardown treatment by PBKreviews.
Getting inside of the new Motorola Razr requires heating the back of the phone up to get the glue on the rear of the Razr loose, and then you can open it up with plastic implements before you can touch any of the internals. There are a bunch of screws and cables you'll need to move around, but you will need to be very careful given it's a foldable display versus a traditional smartphone.
In the end, PBKreviews says that the Motorola Razr teardown was not easy and they would "probably even go as far as saying [that the phone isn't] repairable at all by most people".

Samsung's new Galaxy Z Flip foldable teased with Thom Browne Edition
Samsung will fully debut its new Galaxy S20 family of smartphones on February 11 at its Unpacked event, but it'll also debut the new foldable Galaxy Z Flip handset -- now teased with a new Thom Browne Edition.
The new Galaxy Z Flip Thom Browne Edition comes in stripey goodness, with its iconic red/white/blue style on all of its included products. In the box you'll get the Galaxy Z Flip Thom Browne Edition smartphone itself, but you'll also get gorgeous Galaxy Buds+ and a Galaxy Watch Active 2 smartwatch, too.
Samsung is expected to price its regular Galaxy Z Flip from $1250-$1400 according to various reports, but the new Thom Browne Edition should cost a bunch extra -- we could expect a $1000 premium knocking it up to $2500 for the entire package. But hey, if you want this style then you're going to pay for it -- but how many of them will be made, or sold? I doubt it'll be much at all.

LG V60 smartphone: huge 5000mAh battery, return of headphone jack
LG might have pulled out of Mobile World Congress this year over coronavirus concerns, but the company is still hard at work on its new flagship smartphone -- something that might eventuate into the V60.
According to notorious leaker Evan 'evleaks' Blass, LG is working on the V60 ThinQ smartphone which might rock some flagship tech inside including Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 865 processor with 5G connectivity. Not only that, but we are told to expect the return of the 3.5mm headphone jack and a gigantic 5000mAh battery, too.
LG is expected to have not one, two, or three cameras -- but four cameras on its new V60 smartphone. The display will fall somewhere between 6.7 and 6.9 inches, while there will be a selfie camera on the front of the V60 with a small notch. We should expect LG to better detail its V60 smartphone later this month after MWC 2020.

Samsung expects to sell 2.5 million Galaxy Z Flip foldable smartphones
Samsung outed its foldable Galaxy Z Flip smartphone during an Oscars 2020 ad, but will fully detail it at its Unpacked 2020 event on February 11 -- but what about sales expectations?
The company is reportedly aiming for around 2.5 million units according to a new report from The Korea Herald, which have called on industry sources to say that Samsung is preparing an initial 500,000 units of the Galaxy Z Fold. After that, Samsung expects a total of 2.5 million Galaxy Z Flip foldable smartphone sales by the end of 2020.
Samsung will be selling the new Galaxy Z Flip for around $1400, with reports saying the new foldable will start from around $1260 in South Korea. Inside, it'll rock modest but not flagship specs with Qualcomm's second-best Snapdragon 855+ (the Snapdragon 865 is the new flagship), 8GB of RAM (the Galaxy Fold ships with 12GB, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra rocks 16GB), while a dual-camera rig is on the back of the Galaxy Z Flip.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip unveiled during Oscars 2020 ad
We all know Samsung will be revealing its Galaxy Z Flip on February 11 at its Unpacked 2020 event, but the company outed the Galaxy Z Flip at the Oscars... accidentally? Probably not. Check it out in the tweet below:
The 30-second ad from Samsung shows us everything we already know from the leaks, with the smaller secondary display on the back of the phone that will flash with caller ID when you've got an incoming call. Not only that, but you'll also be able to answer the call with the Galaxy Z Flip when it's closed -- which is pretty cool. It'll make for a super-small phone for regular phone calls.
Inside, we know to expect Qualcomm's super-fast-but-not-flagship Snapdragon 855+ processor, 3300mAh battery, and two primary cameras. Samsung is expected to price the Galaxy Z Flip at $1400 and a release as early as February 14 -- three days after its Unpacked 2020 event on February 11.

Motorola foldable Razr durability tested with real razor, sand, fire
Motorola has finally unleashed its foldable Razr smartphone, but the best thing I've seen on it would have to be the durability test by JerryRigEverything -- check it out:
Jerry does his usual great work with the Motorola Razr, using a razor to cut a razor into the Razr with a razor in the background. Not only that, but he slices and dices the entire phone including the fingerprint sensor, back cover, sides, the display, cameras, and more. It wasn't just a razor used to test the phone, but sand and even fire -- yeah, like, actual real flames.
Remember, Motorola itself has said that "bumps and lumps are normal" for its foldable Razr -- but I doubt they meant this. In the end, he destroys the Motorola Razr and its foldable display but it required an incredible amount of force on his part, and quite frankly I'm surprised by that.

Samsung Z Flip: folding smartphone without Galaxy
Samsung will be unveiling and detailing its new Galaxy Z Flip foldable smartphone at its Unpacked 2020 event on February 11, but it looks like the name of the phone could be wrong -- drop the Galaxy, and it could just be the 'Z Flip'.
According to a new trademark submitted by Samsung in Europe, the company could be calling its new foldable phone the Z Flip. Samsung Electronics filed for the trademark with the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) on February 7, kinda confirming that its new foldable will be called the Z Flip, and not the Galaxy Z Flip.
Samsung first introduced the Galaxy branding in 2009, but it has gone through many changes over the years -- and one of the biggest ones will be this year with the introduction of the Galaxy S20 range of smartphones. Samsung has gone from the original Galaxy S through to the Galaxy S10 -- but is changing things up to the naming system with the move from S10 to S20 instead of S10 to S11. The shift away from the Galaxy brand with its Z Flip is an interesting move, however.

This is our closest look at Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip foldable phone yet
Samsung is expected to unveil a slew of new smartphones at its Unpacked 2020 event on February 11, with the new Galaxy S20 family of phones alongside the new foldable Galaxy Z Flip smartphone. A new video has emerged, which should catch your eye below:
We've already heard a bunch of leaks on Samsung's new Galaxy Z Flip, which will sport a clamshell-like foldable design that Motorola has just debuted with its refreshed Razr smartphone. The new video above has the Galaxy Z Flip in a thick protective case, something I probably wouldn't use on my phone but you can see how it will unfold and flip out.
Inside, we should expect a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor, 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage and what should be a gorgeous 6.7-inch 2636 x 1080 resolution AMOLED display. Samsung is rumored to reveal its Galaxy Z Flip smartphone on February 14 for $1400, just in time for Valentine's Day, right?

Samsung gives Galaxy S20 Ultra super-fast 45W charger in the box
Samsung will reportedly be shipping its new Galaxy S20 range of smartphones with 25W and 45W chargers in the box, according to the latest reports. Samsung shipped the current-gen Galaxy Note 10+ with a 25W charger, and even though it had 45W charging capabilities, Samsung made that an optional extra.
The new Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+ smartphones will ship with 25W fast chargers in the box, while the flagship Galaxy S20 Ultra will pack a 45W charger in the box. This is a great move by Samsung, as the fast charging on my personal Galaxy Note 10+ (just the stock 25W charger) is already ridiculously fast, let alone the 45W charger that the new Galaxy S20 Ultra will ship with.
Not only that, but Samsung is reportedly going to provide AKG branded USB Type-C wired headphones in the box of the new Galaxy S20 family of smartphones, too.

ZTE Axon 10s Pro the first with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 inside
ZTE has just unveiled the world's first Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 powered smartphone, the new ZTE Axon 10s Pro which is a powerhouse smartphone -- right on the eve of Samsung's new Galaxy S20 family of smartphones.
The new Axon 10s Pro smartphone packs the Snapdragon 865 chip which means it has 5G connectivity, but it also debuts with a delicious 6.47-inch AMOLED curved display but just a 1080p resolution display with a 19:5:9 aspect ratio. There's an in-display fingerprint sensor and water-drop notch, which doesn't stand out too much.
There's up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage, while ZTE will offer a lower-end 6GB RAM / 128GB storage model. Both of ZTE's new Axon 10s Pro smartphones will roll out with a 4000mAh battery and support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 technology.

Qualcomm shows off first 8K video shot on Snapdragon 865
Qualcomm unveiled its next-gen Snapdragon 865 at its annual Snapdragon Tech Summit in Maui, Hawaii in December 2019 -- and now the company has shared the first 8K video shot on a Snapdragon 865-powered device. Check it out:
8K video isn't easy and as an 8K monitor owner and 8K enthusiast myself, my tech enthusiast senses tingled as soon as I got the email from Qualcomm about this video. Qualcomm has used a "prototype Snapdragon 865 smartphone with a Sony IMX586" to shoot the video -- we're looking at 33 million pixels per second, so prepare your internet connection.
Qualcomm explains the 8K video: "The 8K video shoot took place in Arizona during November 2019. Arizona was chosen for this multi-location shoot to capture its dramatic imagery at sites including the Grand Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and the Petroglyphs near Antelope Canyon".

Elon Musk says 5G isn't 'medically dangerous' it's just 'land greedy'
There has been quite a lot of chatter about whether 5G technology that is currently being rolled out specific areas around the globe is harmful to humans. Here's what Elon Musk thinks.
A fan of Elon Musk, Shawn Bechard, recently took to Twitter to ask SpaceX and Tesla founder his thoughts surrounding the rumored dangers of 5G. Bechard asked Musk to "put my fears to rest" about using 5G and, more specifically, if we are "saturating ourselves in more exposure to EMF radiation and at higher frequencies?". Elon Musk replied to Bechard with the above Tweet.
Musk isn't an expert in 5G, but it's still nonetheless reassuring that someone as smart and successful as Musk is in his respective fields of space travel, automation, and global internet ventures is dismissing claims that 5G is harmful. As 5G becomes more accessible to the general public, we will no doubt hear studies that both support and dismiss the claim that 5G is a danger. Prepare for the future.

Man creates virtual traffic jams with just 99 smartphones and a wagon
If you are like me, when you hear the word 'modern art', a bad taste appears in your mouth accompanied by the mental images of bits of metal being bent in strange directions.
But what about modern art in the sense of basically trolling Google Maps? I can get on board for that, and I think Simon Weckert can as well. Above we have a video from Simon Weckert, who is an artist living in Berlin, Germany. He decided to take a wagon, 99 smartphones, and a sense of humor with him for a walk around the streets of Berlin.
What happened was quite hilarious, due to all of the phones having their location on Google Maps picked up that there were high levels of traffic in the area. The video shows Weckert walking down the street with his little wagon full of smartphones and the Google Maps streets going from green to dark red. This idea is basically a hack for Google Maps, and could maybe even make your commute to work a lot faster if you decide to invest in a lot of smartphones.

2020 is the year of the most 'gender-inclusive' emoji's
2020 will be the year of emojis as the Unicode Consortium has revealed that 117 new emoji are heading to platforms.
According to their website, Emoji 13.0 update has been finalized and will implement 62 new emojis that include things like smiling face with a tear, polar bear, bubble tea, pickup truck, fondue, teapot, Pinata, and the transgender flag. The announcement will also add 55 gender and skin-tone variants, as well as new gender-inclusive emojis.
An example of gender-inclusive emoji is the veil, the tuxedo, and feeding baby emoji. At the moment, those emoji's only represent a man in a tuxedo, women in a veil, and man/woman feeding a baby. The new set of emojis will add women in a tuxedo, a man in a veil, and a 'person' feeding a baby. If you are interested in checking out what other new emojis are arriving this year, click this link here.

Samsung's new Galaxy Z Flip: February 14 release for $1400
Samsung will be unveiling its stack of new Galaxy S20 smartphones including the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and what should be a monster new flagship Galaxy S20 Ultra on February 11 at its Unpacked 2020 event, but there will also be a surprise Galaxy Z Flip revealed, too.
The new Galaxy Z Flip is a foldable smartphone that we now have a purported price on: $1400. Samsung will make its Galaxy Z Flip available on $1400 and reportedly exclusive to AT&T, but according to XDA Developers' Max Weinbach, it will be a "timed exclusive" to AT&T, and it will be made available unlocked.
Samsung's new Galaxy Z Flip smartphone will be similar to Motorola's new foldable Razr smartphone, except it will fold up much smaller than the Razr. The Galaxy Z Flip will have a smaller display on the front that will be used for battery information, notifications, and other quick things you need to see -- while it will pack "Ultra-Thin Glass" with a Dynamic AMOLED display inside.
