Motorola delays foldable Razr launch, because it's too popular
Motorola unveiled its new foldable Razr smartphone not too long ago now, and while it quickly built hype as it seems like one of the better-suited foldable smartphones, Motorola has now delayed the launch of the new Razr.
The reason? Oh, the demand was too strong. No, seriously -- that's what Motorola said to Bloomberg. Motorola told Bloomberg: "Motorola has decided to adjust Razr's presale and launch timing to better meet consumer demand. We are working to determine the appropriate quantity and schedule to ensure that more consumers have access to Razr at launch".
The original launch window for Motorola's foldable Razr smartphone was January, so we should expect a push into February or March 2020 for the Razr. Motorola won't want a repeat of Samsung's Galaxy Fold issues, so a bit more time in the oven for the Razr is a good idea -- especially when you're spending $1500 on it.

PornHub in 2019 transferred 6,597 petabytes of data, 209GB per second
PornHub has released its annual internal data insights revealing some interesting information about one of the most popular websites on the planet.
According to the insights which have been released onto the official PornHub Insights website, the site which is placed in the top 50 sites in global Alexa rankings transferred a staggering 6,597 petabytes worth of data. That number is further broken down to a ridiculous 18,073 terabytes per day, and an even more ridiculous 753,041 gigabytes per hour, and finally 209 gigabytes of data per second.
The info-graphic also indicates that the website had 42 billion website visits over the course of the year, with the United States easily being the country with the most visits. The total website visits number equates to 115 million visits per day. We also learn that 6.83 million videos uploaded, bringing 1.36 million hours of new content to watch. PornHub says, "If you started watching 2019's new videos in 1850, you would still be watching them today". To bring it back to the previous paragraph where all the data transfer is mentioned, PornHub says "If you copied all that data onto hard drives they would reach 100km high to the edge of space."

OnePlus will tease next-gen Concept One smartphone at CES 2020
OnePlus will be teasing a new 'OnePlus Concept One' smartphone at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in 2020, but we have no idea what that will be exactly. We should expect a foldable display or maybe even a dual-display smartphone, given the hype surrounding Samsung's own Galaxy Fold and the Huawei Mate X smartphones.
It was barely 24 hours ago that I wrote about the upcoming OnePlus 8 Pro smartphone, with rumors pegging it to pack a 120Hz display and Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 865 processor. As for the OnePlus Concept One smartphone, an in-display selfie camera should make an appearance, something mobile competitor OPPO has already nailed.
OnePlus pushing its Concept One will see the company branching out from the predictable nature of smartphones, w here we might also see a totally button-less smartphone. OnePlus isn't a stranger to moves like this, as they removed the headphone jack from their smartphones early in on the remove-the-headphone-jack-craze years ago.

OnePlus 8 Pro: 120Hz display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, 50W charger
OnePlus will have a bunch of new smartphones rolling out in 2020, with rumors of its new OnePlus 8 Pro floating out and surprising us just before the holidays. According to the new rumors we'll be expecting a OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Lite, and OnePlus 8 Pro.
The new flagship OnePlus 8 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 865 which means it'll roll out with 5G connectivity, it'll feature a 6.7-inch hole-punch screen with two camera sensors -- the first of which is a 32-megapixel front-facing snapper, joined by a Time-of-Flight (ToF) camera. This will enable 3D face recognition support, a new feature for OnePlus.
The new OnePlus 8 Pro will also feature a higher-end 3180 x 1440 resolution display with a super-fast 120Hz refresh rate, while it'll pack not one but two batteries. The rumors peg OnePlus to using 2 x 2250mAh batteries joining for a larger 4500mAh battery, something that also packs 50W Super Warp Charge technology.

Huawei P40 rumor: 120Hz display and gigantic 5500mAh battery
Huawei's next-gen P40 smartphoine could be a monster when it is released in 2020 according to the new rumors, especially if it does indeed sport a 120Hz display and gigantic 5500mAh battery.
Leaker Yash Raj Chaudhary teased some high-end specs for Huawei's new P40 smartphone, with predictions of a 6.5-inch 2K OLED 'Waterfall' display, 120Hz refresh rate, and a huge 64-megapixel rear-facing camera that is backed up by a 20MP ultra-wide camera, and 12MP telephoto lens that includes a macro lens and time-of-flight sensor.
Better yet, the rumors see Huawei using a 5500mAh battery which would hopefully provide ridiculously long battery life for the P40. Huawei will reportedly use graphene to keep the battery in the P40 to 70% the volume of lithium-based batteries, with the battery inside of Huawei's new P40 smartphone to fully charge in 45 minutes from its super-fast 50W charger.

Samsung sells over 1 million Galaxy Fold smartphones so far
Samsung has reportedly sold over 1 million units of its first foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Fold -- even with its $2000 price, its launch cancelled, but in-the-end fixed launch.
Samsung Electronics boss Young Sohn said on-stage at TechCrunch Disrupt in Berlin: "there's a million people that want to use this product at $2,000 each". In the world of 10s of millions of smartphones shipped by Apple and Samsung per year, 1 million might not seem like a lot -- but at $2000 a pop, that's $2 billion in sales for Samsung with the Galaxy Fold.
Back in July the company said it would tweak the Galaxy Fold after the first wave of reviewers and influencers found issues with it, at the time Samsung said: "Samsung is conducting final product tests to make Galaxy Fold available to consumers starting from September in select markets. Availability details will be shared as we get closer to launch".

Samsung Galaxy S11 rumor: 4500mAh battery, larger than Galaxy Note 10+
Samsung will unveil its new Galaxy S11 next year, but ahead of its official reveal we're going to be slammed with news, leaks, and rumors. Today brings us news of a major part of that puzzle -- a massive battery in the Galaxy S11.
Currently the largest battery in Samsung's main families of Galaxy smartphones is the Galaxy Note 10+ which rocks a 4300mAh battery, while rumor has it the new Galaxy S11 will have a 4500mAh battery. Samsung uses a larger display on the Note 10+ which would chew down that battery fast, so battery life on the new Galaxy S11 (if the rumor of the 4500mAh battery is true) could be awesome.
Previous rumors saw Samsung possibly using a 5000mAh battery inside of the new Galaxy S11, which if true would be even better -- but a 4500mAh unit is big enough for a non-Note smartphone. Consider this: Samsung used a 3400mAh battery inside of the Galaxy S10, so a 4500mAh battery is a gigantic upgrade over that in the new Galaxy S11.

OPPO announce new AR glasses, will compete with HoloLens 2 in 2020
OPPO just announced a new pair of augmented reality glasses at its OPPO Innovation Day event, with David Imel on the ground at the event in China from Android Authority tweeting the news just now.
There's not much known outside of the surprise announcement, but Imel did report that both the new OPPO AR glasses and a new 5G CPE hub that is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon X55 5G modem will be released in Q1 2020.
OPPO's new AR glasses will feature dual fisheye camers on the front, as well as an HD camera. On the side appears to be two buttons styled in green, which I actually really dig the style of. We don't know any specifications on what is inside the OPPO AR glasses powering it, or what type of resolution or display technology they're using. As I find this out I'll keep you all updated.

Qualcomm dominates high refresh rate mobile gaming: 90/120/144FPS
Anyone that knows me knows that I'm a refresh rate freak, with my addiction really beginning in the late 90s with Sony's flagship Trinitron G520 monitor -- all the way through to ASUS ROG Strix XG438Q offering 43-inch 4K 120Hz.
But it is Qualcomm that is impressing me, as they're completely dominating (and changing) the game when it comes to high refresh rate gaming smartphone world. The newly-announced Snapdragon 865 is the world's first to support 144Hz mobile displays, joining the current flock of 90/120Hz gaming smartphones on the market.
Qualcomm is working directly with PUBG Corp. for PUBG Mobile, getting it to run smoothly at 90FPS on Snapdragon 855 and Snapdragon 855+ powered phones. But the new Snapdragon 865 handles this, and more -- up to 120Hz and 144Hz now.

Xiaomi announces Mi 10: one of the first powered by Snapdragon 865
Qualcomm announced its next-gen Snapdragon 865 today at its annual Snapdragon Summit, and after Verizon and Motorola took the stage, XIaomi hit the stage with some big news of its own.
XIaomi took the time out of its Snapdragon Summit announcement to tell the world it has sold 427 million Qualcomm-powered smartphones. Hitting nearly half a billion devices is a huge milestone, with Xiaomi surely smiling ear-to-ear announcing the milestone in Maui, Hawaii.
The company also took the opportunity to announce its new Mi 10 smartphone, which is one of the first to be powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. There's no details on Xiaomi's new Mi 10 just yet, but as they drop we'll report it. For now, just a tease.

Why using public USB ports to charge your phone can get you hacked
When you are traveling, whether it is throughout and the airport, to a hotel room or everything else in-between, battery becomes a problem you have to overcome. The convenience public USB charging should be all good, right? Wrong.
According to a new warning issued out by LA County District Attorney's Office, travelers should avoid using public USB charging stations in airports, hotels and other locations as devices connected to these chargers could result in the device being hacked. The scam is called "juice jacking" and its when criminals place malware onto the charging station and its cables and the leave the cable there for an unsuspecting traveler to come by and juice up their phone.
While the charging is occurring for the traveler, the malware might "lock the device or export data and passwords directly to the scammer." With the risk of having personal information scammed away from your device, the battery % you would have gained charging doesn't seem worth the cost. How do you overcome this new issue? Easy. Invest in reasonable portable chargers with a considerable amount of milliamp hours. Anker is a great brand, as well as Cygnet. A link to a great one can be found here.

Motorola's new Razr: new foldable smartphone costs $1500
Motorola has officially rebooted its infamous Razr smartphone after the initial teases, with the new 2019 handset dipped in the future and coated in magic -- the new Moto Razr has probably the best foldable display yet.
Samsung's revised Galaxy Fold and Huawei's new Mate X have their own unique take on the hinge design, making their respective foldable use questionable over time -- but Motorola has something special in store for the new 2019 Razr. Motorola has the 6.2-inch OLED display on the new Razr opening more like a book, a throwback to the foldable design of the original Razr, but without the physical keyboard.
The new Razr opens and closes just like the classic Razr did, except this time when it's closed its the size of a large smartphone -- but the foldable display is really something else. Inside, Motorola won't break any speed records with its use of Qualcomm's not-so-flagship Snapdragon 710 processor, no 5G connectivity, a modest 2510mAh battery, and Android 9.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 865: 20% faster than Snapdragon 855
Qualcomm will unveil its next-gen Snapdragon 865 (and I'm sure much more) at its annual Snapdragon Tech Summit in Maui, Hawaii in just a few weeks -- but ahead of the event, we have some details of the new Snapdragon 865 to share.
New rumors suggest that Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 865 will have quite a few upgrades, one of which will be the upgraded GPU in the new Adreno 650. Qualcomm's current, and already fast Snapdragon 855 and Snapdragon 855+ feature Adreno 640 GPUs, but the new Adreno 650 will have a GPU clock of 587MHz -- providing 17-20% more performance over the Snapdragon 855-powered Adreno 640.
Remember that's versus the Snapdragon 855 and not the tweaked Snapdragon 855+ that powers the ASUS ROG Phone II, so we should expect maybe 10-15% faster than the Snapdragon 855+ with Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 865.

Samsung Galaxy S11 leaked specs: 5G + 108MP camera
Samsung launched its flagship Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ earlier this year, following it up with the larger and feature-packed Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ but what about 2020 flagship phones?
Well, the new Galaxy S11 specs that are leaking out sound delicious -- with 5G connectivity, bigger batteries, a huge 108-megapixel camera, and more teased. Notorious leaker "evleaks" AKA Evan Blass has said that Samsung will launch 3 different Galaxy S11 smartphones in February 2020.
We should expect a 6.4-inch, 6.7-inch, and 6.9-inch Galaxy S11 spread of phones which are a decent bump over the 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.4-inch offered by the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+ respectively. But what's inside, is what'll impress.

ASUS ZenFone 6 beats Samsung to the Android 10 upgrade punch
Oh, you thought Samsung would be the first with Google's latest Android 10 operating system on its Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, Galaxy Note 10, and Galaxy Note 10+ smartphones -- oh and we can't forget the Galaxy Fold, but nope -- ASUS is the first with its ZenFone 6.
ASUS has updated its interesting ZenFone 6 smartphone with Android 10 in its latest October 2019 security update for the ZenFone 6 smartphone. Android 10 will give the ASUS ZenFone 6 gesture controls like Google's newly-released Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL smartphones which come with Android 10 out of the box.
There's new themes and my personal favorite -- a system-wide dark mode, something I love on my Pixel 3 XL with Android 10, and miss dearly on my Samsung Galaxy S10+ 5G smartphone. The big interesting note here is that ASUS and not Samsung, were first with Android 10 on their smartphone.

Leaked images show revived Motorola RAZR model as new foldable phone
Remember when the Motorola RAZR was first announced back in July of 2004, and then hit the market closer to the end of the same year? I do, and so do 50 million other customers.
At the time of release, the Motorola RAZR V3 had the thinnest profile of any clamshell handset, it even went onto to be the best selling clamshell phone to date at 130 million units sales during its lifespan. It now seems the RAZR V3 model will be returning but this time as foldable device that has multiple screens.
According to a leak by evleak, Motorola's foldable V3 will have two displays; a main 6.2-inch OLED display, and an 800 x 600 secondary display. The rumored specifications are: Snapdragon 710, 4/6GB RAM, 128GB ROM and a 2730mAh battery. Other rumors put this phone at an extremely hefty price point of $1500. Motorola will be holding a media event on November 13th, which is probably when we will hear if this phone will become a reality or not.

Samsung's new clamshell foldable shines in slick new renders
Samsung recently shared some concepts of its clamshell-style foldable smartphone, something that gives me some serious old-but-new Motorola Razr vibes, just before Motorola unveils its new... well, Razr that pretty much looks like Samsung's new concept.
There are no firm plans for a global launch of this concept phone just yet, with Samsung saying at its annual Developer Conference that this is a preview of a vertically folding, clamshell-style form factor. Samsung is just toying around with the idea right now, but it did show off a demo of a user recording video in full screen, and then creating a split view with more controls when folded 90 degrees. Slick.
Samsung might not ever release this clamshell-style phone, but with the Moto Razr about to make a big come back it wouldn't surprise me to see Samsung extend their Galaxy range into this design. As an original Razr owner, I'd love to see it happen.

xHelper the 'irremovable' malware found in over 45,000 Android devices
A new kind of Android malware has been detected by cyber-security firms and they report that over 45,000 devices have been found to be compromised.
The piece of malware is called xHelper and is a Trojan that is reportedly running rampant in Android users phones in India, US and Russia. Cyber-security firm Symantec has moved the malware up to the top 10 list of most detected malware, saying "In the past month alone, there was an average of 131 devices infected each day, and an average of 2,400 devices persistently infected throughout the month."
According to MalwareBytes, the source of the malware has been boiled down to users downloading it through shady game websites. The scariest thing about this malware is that its not easily removable either, since the malware doesn't display an app icon or a short cut. It also replicates itself throughout the users phone even after users perform a factory reset or a manual uninstall.

Samsung's next-gen Galaxy S11 rumored to have 120Hz display
Samsung should see its flagship 2020 smartphones in the next-gen Galaxy S11 family feature 120Hz refresh rate displays, something that would make the entire phone experience silky-smooth.
120Hz displays on smartphones isn't totally new, with ASUS and its kick-ass ROG Phone II and Razer's own iconic Razer Phone II both featuring 120Hz displays. Other manuifacturers like Google and OnePlus have 90Hz displays in their Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL and One Plus 7T and 7T Pro smartphones, respectively.
But Samsung hasn't shifted into the world of faster refresh rates on its smartphones... yet. It seems that 2020 will be the year, where thanks to its latest Exynos 990 processor, we should see the world of 120Hz on the Galaxy S11 open up. The new Exynos 990 chip is also made on the new 7nm process.
