TL;DR: Leaks report Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection will release on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 15, 2026, as a $69.99 definitive edition including both expansions (Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred) and exclusive to Switch 2; retail boxes will contain a download code, not a game card.

Ahead of Gamescom 2026 and Blizzard's big in-person BlizzCon 2026 event, it seems that one of the big announcements from the show has leaked courtesy of billbil-kun and Dealabs, citing retail data as the source. It looks like the long-rumored Diablo 4 port for the Nintendo Switch 2 is right around the corner, with the game set to launch on Nintendo's portable-hybrid on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, in what's dubbed the Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection.

With Gamescom taking place between August 26 and August 30 and BlizzCon 2026 taking place at the Anaheim Convention Center on the weekend of September 12 and 13, this tracks. The main source is classification boards in Indonesia and Taiwan, and the game is set to launch with a $69.99 USD price tag.

Although this might seem like a higher-than-expected price for a game that first hit the scene back in 2023, it makes sense when you factor in that 'Age of Hatred Collection' refers to it being a definitive version of the game.

And with that, it will include both major expansions to the game, Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred, which released earlier this year in April. In addition to introducing two new classes to the game, the Warlock and Paladin, Lord of Hatred also overhauled the endgame, skill trees, crafting, and more, delivering an experience that garnered acclaim from media and fans alike.

Interestingly, the report notes that Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2, with no plans to bring the game to the original Switch. Although that console did receive native ports of Diablo 3 (in a similar complete collection) and the Diablo 2 Resurrected remaster, it makes sense to skip the aging hardware, especially since Diablo 4's action mostly takes place in a large, seamless open world.

With its 64GB limitation and Diablo 4's PC installation size hitting triple digits, this isn't unexpected. With the release seemingly around the corner, all that remains to be seen is how the game looks and runs on the Switch 2, with fans hoping it will support a 60 FPS mode.
