Elon Musk has had a gigantic year so far (he's had a baby, had Tesla stock skyrocket, and sent two NASA astronauts to the ISS with SpaceX) and we're barely half way through it, but the SpaceX and Tesla Motors CEO has just announced he is stepping away from Twitter "for a while".

In a tweet on June 2, 2020 -- Musk said: "Off Twitter for a while" and that was it -- a mic drop moment. It was just 48 hours prior that Musk's own SpaceX sent two NASA astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) which was a historic moment for the United States.

Musk's tweet has 283,000 likes at the time of writing, with the top tweet being from Anonymous which ominously says "We'll take over from here". Anonymous has been in the news recently, with the hacking collective threatening the Minneapolis Police over the George Floyd protests. Read more on that here.

Activision has just announced that it has delayed the Season 4 release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone, as well as Season 7 of Call of Duty: Mobile because of the on-going unrest in the United States.

Sony and EA have both stopped big events from taking place this week, and I'm sure these companies won't be the first -- nor will they be the last. Activision tweeted: "Right now it's time for those speaking up for equality, justice, and change to be seen and heard. We stand alongside you".

The ofciail Activision Blizzard Twitter account tweeted: "Today, and always, we support all those who stand against racism and inequality. There is no place for it in our society - or any society. Black lives matter".

We all know AMD will be launching its next-gen Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards later this year, powered by the new RDNA2 architecture -- but now we have a new GPU that has been teased through Linux driver patches: Sienna Cichlid.

A new driver file includes a new line of code that seems to be a tease of Navi 21 (you can read more on that here). The line of code refers to GFX1030 which is Navi 21, while GFX1010 is Navi 10 while GFX1012 is Navi 14. Phoronix says that this patch confirms it's a Navi-based GPU with VCN 3.0 capabilities to handle video encoding and DCN3 update for displays.

AMD's Alex Deucher explains Sienna Cichlid as a "GPU from AMD. This patch set adds support for it including power management, display, kfd, interrupts, gfx, multi-media, etc. The new register headers are really big so I haven't sent them to the list. You can view the new patches including the register headers on the following git branch".

The US had a historic moment just days ago when SpaceX sent up two NASA astronauts into space, and into the International Space Station.

You can read more about that historic moment here, but today I have some interesting news. The Director of Communications for adult webcam company ImLive, emailed me and told me that they have invited the two NASA astronauts to become the first two people in the history of humanity to host an adult webcam session from space.

The email reads: "ImLive, an adult webcam company, is formally making the two brave astronauts an offer to make one small step for man and one giant leap for mankind by becoming the first people to conduct an adult webcam session from space. These webcam sessions can help facilitate human interaction and provide them with some...pleasure...while they're in orbit. ImLive will provide them with VIP passes to their site, which would allow them to privately webcam with the wide variety of models as often as they'd like. The girls can just chat with them about their experience in space, strip for them, dance for them, etc".

Samsung has just launched its new Odyssey G7 gaming monitor, something the company unveiled at CES 2020 earlier this year -- with some rather impressive specs.

The new Odyssey G7 gaming monitor is available in two sizes: 27-inch and 32-inch variants, both with native 2560 x 1440 (1440p) resolutions and super-fast 240Hz refresh rates. Samsung is using a curved QLED panel with a 1000R curvature on the new Odyssey G7 gaming monitor, too.

Unless you've been living under a rock you would've heard about the George Floyd protests across teh United States, with multiple cities laying down curfew orders to keep people off the streets between certain times.

These curfews have forced ride-sharing companies as well as food delivery platforms to temporarily suspend operations in some cities, with Uber, Lyft, and DoorDash all temporarily suspending operations in some US cities. Uber said in a statement: "Some cities have requested that we suspend operations completely while others want to ensure Uber is available for essential services," the company said in a statement".

The ride-sharing giant continued: "We're also using the Uber app to educate riders and drivers about city curfews and remind them Uber should be used for emergency purposes only during this time".

Here we are again, folks, at another article detailing why Microsoft isn't buying another billion-dollar company. In this coverage we'll be detailing why Microsoft isn't buying SEGA, and why the Xbox Series X isn't going to be rebranded with SEGA's name in Japan.

Rumor has it Microsoft is buying SEGA. Another rumor says Microsoft will release the Xbox Series X as the "SEGA Series X" in Japan. Neither of these things are true. To really understand why the rumors aren't true we have to take a look at how both Microsoft and SEGA operate their businesses, and then briefly go over why the Xbox brand is so much more than just hardware.

First, let's start off with the obvious one: Microsoft isn't going to buy SEGA simply because it'd cost too much. There's no reason for Microsoft to buy, and more importantly, there's absolutely no reason for SEGA to sell. This is the same argument we made with the preposterous "Microsoft is buying CD Projekt RED" rumors, and the more recent "Sony is buying Metal Gear Solid" rumors.

The PS5 reveal event set for June 4 will be postponed to a later date due to civil unrest, Sony today confirmed.

Like most of the games industry, Sony has spoken out in support for the Black Lives Matter movement amid civil unrest in the United States. Now the company is delaying one of the most important events of the year so it doesn't take the spotlight away from America's societal issues.

"We have decided to postpone the PlayStation 5 event scheduled for June 4," Sony said in a statement.

Gamers wanting a new computer monitor that offers a wider view or office users wanting a screen that can show more content side-by-side will want to check out the LG 34CB99-W. This is a wide aspect ratio curved computer monitor with a 21:9 aspect ratio. The native resolution of the screen is 3440 x 1440, and it supports 99% of the sRGB color gamut.

Currently, the display is on sale at Newegg with a discount of $300 for about the next 16 hours as of writing. That $300 discount brings the regular $999.99 price tag down to $699.99. AMD FreeSync is supported, and the monitor has an HDMI input, DisplayPort, USB Type-C, and a stand that is height adjustable and tilts.

LG integrates Screen Split 2.0 technology allowing users to resize and display multiple windows at once with 14 options, including four picture-in-picture modes. The display is Energy Star qualified. Other specifications include 10-bit color depth and typical brightness of 300 cd/m2. The contrast ratio is 1000:1 typical, and the display has 178° viewing angles horizontal and vertical.

A new report is going around that Apple is investing $330 million in a new factory in Taiwan where it will build MicroLED displays for future MacBook laptops. The report also says that screens for future iPhones, iPads, and other devices will be built in the same facility. Apple's partners in the new factory will be Epistar and LCD maker AU Optronics.

Epistar is the top LED producer in Taiwan. The factory located at the Longtan branch of the Hsinchu Science Park. The report indicates that Apple has sent a development team to Taiwan to work on the project. There are some distinct advantages for laptops that use MicroLED displays compared to standard LCD or OLED displays.

Those advantages include higher brightness, higher dynamic range, and a fuller color gamut. MicroLED tech also supports a faster update rate, wider viewing angles, and lower power consumption. Devices using the new screen tech can also be made thinner, making them more portable.

Mobile gamers looking for a laptop that will let them play their favorite games on the go may want to check out the smoking deal that Amazon has going on the ASUS ROG Zephyrus S ultra slim gaming laptop. A restaurant in the Netherlands has introduced a new robot that is designed to greet customers upon their entry as well as reduce human-to-human contact amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Above, you can see an image of the red-and-white robots, and according to the Associated Press, these robots will be used to pick up dirty dishes from tables, greet customers, serving food and other general staff requirements. Due to robots not being able to get the coronavirus, the implementation of them will reduce human-to-human contact, and thus the overall transmission of the coronavirus.

The Netherlands restaurant that has implemented these robots is the Royal Palace restaurant in the town of Renesse. According to Leah Hu, whose family is the owner of the Royal Palace, "They help us with the work we do. We are often busy and cleaning tables and the robots give us an extra hand. We are not disappearing. We are still here. They will always need people in this industry."

Anonymous seems to have awoken once again, and this time the hacktivist group is targeting the main source of controversy, the Minneapolis Police Department.

In a video released onto the official Anonymous Twitter account, we see a member of the group wearing the iconic Guy Fawkes mask, talking directly into the camera. The member explains that officers who believe they can kill people and commit other crimes need to be held accountable "just like the rest of us", otherwise they will think they have a license to do whatever they want.

The video goes onto say that the people have "had enough of this corruption and violence from an organization that promises to keep them safe". Anonymous then begins to target the Minneapolis Police Department by saying that the officers behind the George Floyd killing need to face charges, and officer Chauvin should face murder charges. "Unfortunately, we do not trust your corrupted organization to carry out justice, so we will be exposing your many crimes to the world".

SpaceX has just made history by safely delivering two astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) via a commercially-made spacecraft.

If you happened to miss out on the news, SpaceX has just made a massive mark on the future of the space industry as the company just launched the first commercially-made spacecraft to the ISS. So what does this mean for the future of space travel? It means that space has been opened up to the public, commercial contracts, and won't primarily be used by governments any more. For example, SpaceX has already partnered with a space-tourism business that is responsible for taking passenger trips to space.

On top of this opening up the space industry, this is also the very first mission with astronauts for SpaceX, and we are happy to report that astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley have safely arrived aboard the ISS (see above video). SpaceX has now provided companies with an alternative solution for accessing space, and due to the Dragon 2 spacecraft being designed to deliver seven astronauts to space, it has dramatically reduced the cost-per-seat of a round trip to the ISS.

We are getting closer and closer to the reveal and launch of AMD's upcoming Matisse Refresh CPUs, with the new Ryzen 9 3900XT, Ryzen 7 3800XT and Ryzen 5 3600XT chips listed on a French retailers website.

Materiel.net has listed AMD's not-yet-announced Ryzen 9 3900XT, Ryzen 7 3800XT and Ryzen 5 3600XT processors with some basic specs to share. The site lists the Ryzen 9 3900XT as a 12-core CPU, the Ryzen 7 3800XT as an 8-core CPU, and the Ryzen 5 3600XT as a 6-core chip.

There's nothing new here, but rather one of the largest French retailers is now listing CPUs that don't yet exist, but have had plenty of rumors and details leaking about them in the last few weeks.

This new mod is called the "Pancake FPS Starter Kit" which can be downloaded right here, and is showcased in the video above. YouTuber 'Goutrial' posted the video, explaining: "This is a mod for Half-Life: Alyx called "Pancake FPS Starter Kit" that makes it so you can play without VR".

He continues: "It also adds the ability to add custom weapon scripts. In this video, I am using the base mod so there are only the weapons from Half-Life 2. The weapons you see in this video are from Half-Life 2: MMod".

If you were expecting Intel's new DG1 discrete graphics card to come out and destroy NVIDIA's flagship GeForce RTX 2080 Ti -- well, you would be wrong... very, very wrong.

In the latest leaks on DG1, APISAK has noticed a new entry for the Intel DG1 discrete graphics card -- which is in SDV (or Software Development Vehicle) form. This card won't be sold as a consumer product at all, but DG1 is based on the Gen12 (Xe) architecture that will sport 96 execution units, which means up to 768 unified cores.

We should expect Intel DG1 to come with either 3GB or 6GB of RAM, and will not be coming out and taking swings at AMD and its Navi GPU architecture, or NVIDIA's current-gen Turing or upcoming Ampere GPU architectures. Instead, it will be a low-end offering that will be used in Tiger Lake-based ultra-low-power APUs from Intel.

You would think that any game that the legendary Hideo Kojima wanted to make, you'd just let him make -- but that's nto the case at all.

In a recent interview with Japanese site Livedoor (and then translated by VGC), Kojima talks about his new game, where he said: "It's still in the early planning stages so I can't say much, but on the down-low, I'm actively working on it". He added that he had a recent project cancelled, too.

Kojima added: "Recently a major project of mine got cancelled so I'm pretty pissed, but that's the games industry for you".

Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa reiterates the Switch is still in the middle of its life cycle, hinting the console will last at least four more years before a new iteration arrives.

In a recent Nintendo Q&A session from its FY2020 financials, Nintendo President Shuntaro confirms the Switch is halfway through its lifespan. The Switch turned four years old and managed to move over 55 million units to date, so the Switch hardware family should continue on for another four more years.

"Nintendo Switch has just entered the middle of its life cycle, and there are two system versions in the family - Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite - so we have not changed our view that it is possible to aim for growth that is unlike the life cycle of any other hardware to date," Mr. Furukawa said, strongly hinting more Switch hardware iterations are on the way.

EA Motive just made its debut on Twitter, hinting that it's big new Star Wars game could be revealed soon.

EA Motive has been working on a new Star Wars project for years now. The Montreal-based studio first started out by assisting DICE with Battlefront II. Then it moved on to help Visceral Games on its cancelled Project Ragtag game, then it did the same with EA Vancouver's cancelled Project Orca. Since then, EA Motive has moved onto its own Star Wars game, one that's described as 'very unique.'
