Tracer bakes a cake to celebrate 2 years of Overwatch
To celebrate the anniversary of Overwatch, Blizzard Entertainment has thrown together a awesome stop-motion video for fans, Tracer has decided to cook up a celebratory cake!
The video begins with an Overwatch player just finishing off a game and walking away from her PC, beside her are two Overwatch statues, one of Reaper and the other being Tracer. After the player leaves the room the Tracer statue comes to life, much like Toy Story. Tracer makes her way over to Reaper and asks "do you know what today is?" Reaper follows up with a very stern but not at all shocking "leave me alone."
The stop-motion video continues by fans watching Tracer make a celebratory cake as fast as she possibly can, she finishes it up by getting Reaper to shoot the candles to light them, beginning the celebrations. For more information on Overwatch or if you are interested in joining the community visit the official Blizzard Entertainment website here.

A week ago we saw the Little Nightmares Complete Edition announcement trailer released and now the title is available for digital download via the Nintendo eShop!
Above we have the Little Nightmares: Complete Edition launch trailer and from the video it can be seen that Nintendo has done a fantastic job with creating a spooky and unsettling atmosphere around the title. Little Nightmares: Complete Edition is now available on the Nintendo eShop, if you missed out on the games announcement trailer check it out here.

GTX 1180 will sample June 15, custom cards in Aug/Sept
NVIDIA is preparing their GeForce GTX 1180 for June 15 in Founders Edition form according to the latest rumor from Tom's Hardware, a new card that would beat out their current flagship graphics card, the TITAN Xp.
I exclusively reported that NVIDIA will name the new cards the GeForce GTX 1180 and that it will be the Turing architecture (after all the kerfuffle over Ampere, but that GPU architecture comes after Turing). We can expect the June 15 release to be a hotly-talked about subject, especially as it's the week after Computex which is quite odd indeed.
NVIDIA will push out the GTX 1180 Founders Edition first, then AIB partners like ZOTAC, MSI, ASUS, GIGABYTE and others will have their custom cards to show off sometime in August-September.

Best Buy reportedly kills Gamers Club Unlocked
After years of service, Best Buy may be shuttering its Gamer's Club Unlocked initiative, pushing consumers to other retailers like Amazon for savings.
Reports broke out yesterday that big box retailer Best Buy is canning its penny-saving Gamer's Club Unlocked program for "a variety of reasons." An internal memo obtained by Twitter user Wario64 states that effective immediately GCU cannot be renewed by existing members or purchased by non-members. Current members will still have discount benefits until their subscription expires. The service offered perks like 20% off all new games, 10% off used games, and bonus trade-in credit for the low cost of $30 for 2 years.
"For a variety of reasons, we have decided that our Gamers Club programs will not be accepting new members. This includes both the free Gamers Club membership and Gamers Club Unlocked (GCU). Current members will continue to receive their benefits and we encourage everyone else to use our 'My Best Buy' membership to receive perks, including receiving a $10 reward certificate when pre-ordering hot games," the memo states.

Ubisoft to reveal new IP at E3 2018
Ubisoft will unveil and release new IP this fiscal year. What could it be?
We've known for a while that Ubisoft is making a new IP to release this fiscal year. The company's Fiscal Year 2019 slate, which is from March 2018 through April 2019, will include three major AAA releases: The Division 2, The Crew 2, and something brand new...something that's been in the works for quite some time.
"This fiscal year we are looking to launch very strong titles that will benefit from extended development time that should support their overall performance. The release slate will be made of The Division 2, The Crew 2, and one unannounced franchise that we can't wait to reveal at E3," the company said in its earnings call. "These three games are the result of a huge amount of work and passion of our teams over many years."

Fortnite coming to Android this summer
If all goes to plan, Fortnite's massively popular and lucrative mobile version will come to Android this year.
In a recent blog post Epic Games confirmed that Fortnite on Android should drop in summer 2018, which could mean the battle royale flavor is just months away. "Fortnite is coming to Android. We are targeting this summer for the release. We know many of you are excited for this release, and we promise that when we have more information to share, you'll hear it from us first," the post reads.
Apart from absolutely smashing sales revenue marks on both PC and consoles, and attracting millions of viewers via eSports tournaments and streams, Fortnite's mobile port has done tremendously well. The iOS version managed to rake in $1 million in-game purchases in just three days, lending strong credence to Newzoo's projections that mobile gaming will pull in 51% of the global games market with $70.3 billion.

Black Ops 4 campaign may simply be delayed
Black Ops 4 will ship without a traditional campaign mode, but this could just be temporary.
As we reported yesterday this year's big new Call of Duty game will be missing a big piece of the content pie: a fully-fledged story-driven campaign mode. I posited that this move was tactical on Activision's part as it allowed the publisher to cater to the strong multiplayer market with a huge engagement strategy. In lieu of campaign, Activision and Treyarch are infusing key narrative elements into the online modes like zombies and Blackout, the battle royale gametype. At the same time, however, it appears Treyarch might release Black Ops 4's campaign later down the road.
Since the rumors surrounding battle royale and the lack of a campaign mode have been true, perhaps the further rumors that Black Ops 4's troubled singleplayer are also true. A recent interview with Treyarch's senior producer Yale Miller strongly suggests this is the case, and that Black Ops 4 could get singleplayer campaign content after the game ships.

Stunlock Studios reveals Battlerite Royale map concept art
It was recently announced that the 4 million players playing Battlerite would be receiving their very own battle royale gamemode, now the concept artwork for the map has been revealed by Stunlock Studios.
Stunlock Studios took to their developers blog to announced their progress. The title of the island has been deemed Talon Island and many screenshots and images have been provided to shine some light on the islands features for players.
According to the blog post the "map is 30 times larger than the standard arena mode map" and will also be divided into several different areas "the town of Anvilfall, the Glimmering Woods, the Starlight Oasis, and the Ancient Tomb." Not only is Stunlock Studios concentrating on providing players with a unqiue map experience but they are also taking some time to make sure the lore of the title is very relative as well. "The lore has always been important to the team when creating new champions and creating the world of Battlerite and we are now working with talented lore writer Christopher Harrow to improve our universe building."

Rare teases Sea of Thieves fans with The Hungering Deep
Rare has released a new short video on their YouTube channel, the video teases Sea of Thieves fans about the coming Hungering Deep content update.
The video begins with the scaly-wag Merrick hinting at what is to come for players, he does this in the form of a short story. Merrick begins by saying that ancient tribes used to worship "great terrors from the deep" and to sail the seas undisturbed they would "offer a sacrifice."
The video also showcases what seems to be a Megladon (prehistoric Great White shark) that topples the size of a normal shark. This clue is also reinforced by that tattoo that is seen on Merricks chest, it appears that the jaw tattoo we can see is very similar to that of a fossil found of the Megladon. The Hungering Deep content update is planned for release on May 29th.

THQ Nordic tease new in-engine trailer for Shenmue 3
THQ Nordic recently held there financial presentation and during their conference Shenmue 3 had its in-engine trailer showcased, teasing the games updated graphics engine.
Shenmue 3 is being developed by Yu Suzuki's independent company, Ys Net which is located in Tokyo, Japan. The team developing the third installment into the franchise is comprised of many original Shenmue team members from the early games.
The trailer is featured at about 2 minutes and displays the current updated graphics engine, keep in mind that this trailer is also pre-alpha footage which leads to suggest that the title will be much better looking when it is fully released. Shenmue 3 was recently delayed until 2019, this decision was made my THQ Nordic and Deep Silver as they both believed that the developers should have some more time to polish the game that so many fans are dying to get their hands-on.

NBA Playgrounds 2's May 22nd release date rejected back
The arcade basketball game NBA Playgrounds 2 was originally announced for release on May 22nd, but according to the developers Saber Interactive the title will not be arriving then.
We saw the first NBA Playgrounds 2 gameplay trailer about a week ago now and since then the title has been creeping towards its release date. Samsung launching 31.5-inch 4K 120Hz gaming displays in July
Samsung is going to dominate the monitor market once again this year, with a brief tease of a new 49-inch 5120x1440 display with a refresh rate of 120Hz... but what about 4K?
We're already expecting both ASUS and Acer to release 4K 120Hz gaming displays in the coming months, but from what we've seen and heard so far they'll be relatively small at just 27 inches. Samsung's purported 4K 120Hz gaming display is a much larger 31.5-inch panel, which is suited to 3840x2160 much better than can-you-even-see-it 27 inches at 4K.
Samsung won't be the first with a 4K 120Hz monitor, as that will go to Wasabi Mango and the UHD430 which is a gloriously huge 43-inch 4K 120Hz monitor that currently sells on eBay for $1399. I'd expect Samsung's 31.5-inch 4K 120Hz monitor to be more expensive, but we won't know exact pricing until next month where I'm sure the company will show it off during Computex 2018 with an expected July 2018 release.

Samsung working on 49-inch 5120x1440 120Hz gaming display
Samsung is making what could be one of the beastiest gaming displays ever made, with TFT Central reporting that the company is doubling down on UltraWide monitors, powering them with their own Quantum Dot technology.
We should expect Samsung to unveil a new 49-inch 1800R-curved 32:9 display with a resolution that will massage your retinas at 5120x1440, with a 120Hz refresh rate to match. Samsung already dominates the super-ultra-wide market with their 49-inch CHG90 (which I'm using right this very moment) but the native 3840x1080 is a let down, especially when compared to the 5120x1440 which has 77% more pixels.
Samsung is reportedly also working on a 43.4-inch panel with a native 3840x1200 resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, while 3440x1440 displays will be bumped up to 144Hz in the very near future.

Halo: Fireteam Raven announced, 130-inch 4K arcade cabinet
I'm still waiting for the Halo 6 announcement with a full 4K 60FPS experience on the Xbox One X, but in the meantime news has broken about a totally new Halo game, something no one expected.
Halo: Fireteam Raven is a new arcade-exclusive light-gun shooter that will hit Dave & Busters arcades across the US and Canada "this summer" while other arcades will have to wait until "later this year" for HFR. The game was announced during the Inside Xbox video presentation on Thursday night, and is a team up between Raw Thrills (one of the last arcade game producers in the US), Play Mechanix who were both "in close collaboration with 343 Industries". The game has taken "years" to develop according to Raw Thrills boss and arcade design legend Eugene Jarvis.
As for the cabinet itself, it rocks a huge 130-inch ultra-wide 4K monitor and four seated-turret controllers. You can play Halo: Fireteam Raven with four people in total as you fight alongside Master Chief during the events of Halo: Combat Evolved. You will have Needlers, Magnums, and Wathog-mounted turrets to kill your enemies with, which sounds freaking awesome.

Death Stranding's new trailer teased by Hideo Kojima
Death Stranding is one of the most mysterious and hyped games of all time, from legendary Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima, who has teased a new trailer that could be unveiled during E3 2018 next month.
The trailer might show off more about the world of Death Stranding, or not, we truly have no idea what to expect. A gameplay trailer feels like I'd be asking for too much, but it would also blow so many gamers' minds that I think it could be the best way to debut Death Stranding... with a brand new gameplay trailer at E3.
Kojima teased on his personal Twitter account that he was "trying to edit by installing 4K materials, my PC couldn't operate smoothly enough due to horsepower shortage. No change for linear editing. I shall edit with 2K for a while". We now also know Hideo runs a potato PC and needs an upgrade. If the creator of Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding is unable to edit in 4K in real-time, things need to change... right?
