AMD Ryzen 5 5600X early review: great OC with 4.85GHz on all 6 cores
AMD has its next-gen Zen 3 processors in the hands of reviewers right now, with some early results on the new mid-range Ryzen 5 5600X that costs just $299 and seems like an overclocking monster.
The new AMD Ryzen 5 5600X processor was installed into an ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero motherboard, coupled with 16GB of Patriot Viper DDR4-3800 (CL14) memory and a simple air cooler. Out of the box the Ryzen 5 5600X boosts up to 4.6GHz, but with some tweaking it can hit 4.85GHz on all CPU cores.
Once the Ryzen 5 5600X was overclocked, it beats out the Ryzen 7 3700X (8C/16T) in Cinebench R15's multi-threaded benchmark -- and also the Intel Core i7-10700K which is mighty impressive. In Cinebench R20, the resutls are a bit tighter -- the overclocked Ryzen 5 5600X still reigns supreme against the Intel Core i7-10700K and AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processors.

AMD's new Ryzen 5 5600X costs $299, battles Core i9-10900K at $600+
AMD is about to give everyone a reason to remember, remember the 5th of November with the release of Zen 3 -- and I think one of the most special Zen 3-based processors will be the Ryzen 5 5600X.
The new Ryzen 5 5600X is a new 6-core / 12-thread CPU on the Zen 3 architecture with base CPU clocks of 3.7GHz and boost clocks of up to 4.6GHz on an easy 65W TDP. In some new PassMark CPU Mark benchmark scores, we see that the single-thread performance on the Ryzen 5 5600X beats the Core i9-10900K that costs nearly twice as much.
More importantly is that this shows us the incredible IPC improvement on the Zen 3 architecture over the Zen 2 architecture that powers the current Ryzen 3000 series CPUs. The higher-end Ryzen 7 5800X, Ryzen 9 5900X and Ryzen 9 5950X processors will be even better -- this is just what to expect from the $299 chip.

Here's a family photo of the Zen 3-powered AMD Ryzen 5000 series CPUs
We are getting our first pictures of AMD's new Ryzen 5000 series CPUs, with the entire family of Zen 3-powered chips smiling for the camera. Check them all out:
The picture was tweeted by HXL (@9550Pro) with the Ryzen 9 5950X + Ryzen 9 5900X + Ryzen 7 5800X + Ryzen 5 5600X all pictured here in a tray. They're retail CPUs getting ready to be sent to an OEM or board partner, so they can go into new PCs.
Seeing them all at once leads me to believe we should see good quantities of not just the flagship Ryzen 9 5950X processor, but the entire stack of Zen 3 chips. I'm confident the new Ryzen 5000 series CPUs are going to be very popular, with numbers higher numbers available at launch -- unlike the GeForce RTX 30 series.

AMD Navi 21 XT GPU: up to 2.4GHz game clock, 250W+ TDP, 16GB GDDR6
We have some juicy new info on AMD's next-gen Navi 21 XT -- which should be the flagship GPU that powers the flagship RDNA 2-based Radeon RX 6000 series graphics card.
The new rumors are coming from Patrick Schur on Twitter, who says that the reference boards (which I exclusively revealed that we'll only see reference Big Navi cards in 2020, custom cards in 2021) will have game clocks of up to 2.3GHz -- with some cards rocking the Navi 21 XT up to 2.4GHz.
AMD reportedly has a higher-end Navi 21 XTX that will be AMD exclusive, which is not the first time AMD has done that with a flagship GPU. The most recent was the Radeon VII, which is something else I reported at the time would be an AMD exclusive with no custom cards available. It seems AMD will be doing that with what should materialize into the Radeon RX 6900 XT.

Intel Core i3-10100F: new quad-core CPU at up to 4.3GHz for under $100
AMD's new Zen 3 architecture is going to bring the pain against Intel at all levels, with the new Ryzen 5 5600 rumored to arrive in early 2021 for $220 -- but Intel has just launched a new Core i3-10100F ahead of the Zen 3 dominance.
Intel's new Core i3-10100F processor is part of the growing 10100 series, joining the Core i3-10100, i3-10100T, i3-10100E, and i3-10100TE. The new Intel Core i3-10100F processor is nearly identical to the other 10100 series processors, except that it drops its integrated graphics making it a decent chunk cheaper.
We're looking at Intel's new Core i3-10100F being under $100, battling it out with the AMD Ryzen 3 3300X processor which is also a 4-core, 8-thread CPU. Intel cranks up the CPU boost up to 4.3GHz on the Core i3-10100F, too.

AMD Ryzen 5 5600 could dethrone Intel, costs $220 launches in 2021
AMD is really shaking things up in an even bigger way with its new Zen 3 architecture and upcoming Ryzen 5000 series processors, but a new rumored $220 chip could do some truly huge damage to Intel.
It's rumored that AMD will launch a new Ryzen 5 5600 -- a non-X version of the confirmed Ryzen 5 5600X processor. The Ryzen 5 5600 is a 6-core, 12-thread processor so we should expect the Ryzen 5 5600 to be a 6C/12T chip, too. We should see a cheap price of just $220 -- which should bring the pain to Intel's Core i7-10700 processor at close to just half the price.
If you were to mix the Ryzen 5 5600 or Ryzen 5 5600X with a cheap 500 series chipset motherboard and some fast DDR4 RAM, you're going to have a damn potent killer gaming system. Mix that in with the upcoming RDNA 2-based Radeon RX 6000 series graphics card (or GeForce RTX 30 series card) you would have a kick ass rig for 2021 gaming and beyond.

AMD's new Ryzen 9 5950X: 16-core/32-thread at nearly 5GHz for $799
AMD has unveiled its new Zen 3 architecture and with it the new Ryzen 5000 series CPUs, led by the flagship Ryzen 9 5950X processor. It is a powerhouse processor, the shining flagship of the Zen 3 chips.
We have a monster 16-core/32-thread at up to 4.9GHz, with performance that is between 5-27% faster than the current Zen 2-powered flagship Ryzen 9 3900XT processor in content creation situations. In gaming, the new Ryzen 9 5950X is up to 29% better in gaming -- where gamers are going to dive right onto it once it launches.
Another big selling point is that the Ryzen 9 5950X is just $799, and will be available November 5 -- something that I'm sure AMD fans will remember, remember, the 5th of November as the day AMD unleases the Ryzen 9 5950X. A serious chip that will dethrone Intel in a big way for the rest of the year, and into 2021.

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X annihilates Intel Core i9-10900K in 1080p gaming
AMD has made its next-gen Zen 3 architecture official, unveiling its new Ryzen 5000 series CPUs (skipping over the desktop Ryzen 4000 nomenclature).
The new second-best Ryzen 5000 series CPU is the Ryzen 9 5900X processor, a new 12-core/24-thread chip with a base CPU clock of 3.7GHz and boost of up to 4.8GHz. AMD is pricing the new Ryzen 9 5900X at $549, $50 more than the Ryzen 9 3900XT but crushing it in performance.
But where the majority of the performance is coming from is in the huge IPC uplift with the tweaked Zen 3 architecture, which delivers some truly magic 1080p gaming performance. It delivers a solid uplift of performance over Intel's flagship Core i9-10900K, so if you were waiting for Zen 3 to drop and didn't get Intel's new 10th Gen Core CPU then the Ryzen 9 5900X is a beast for $549.

AMD's new Ryzen 7 5800X benchmark leak: faster than Core i9-10900K
AMD is about to come out stomping on Intel again later this year, with a new event planned for October 8 where the company will detail its new Zen 3 architecture. One of those chips should be the new Ryzen 7 5800X processor -- another, is the recently-teased Ryzen 9 5900X -- a 12C/24T @ 5GHz CPU.
A new sighting of the Ryzen 7 5800X processor has turned up inside of an Ashes of the Singularity benchmark, but like with any rumor (and especially one using AotS) I would be preparing that salt shaker -- but we should expect the Ryzen 7 3800X chip to be an 8-core, 16-thread CPU with some serious horsepower.
We should see the new Ryzen 7 5800X replacing the Ryzen 7 3800X as a new 8C/16T powerhouse on the Zen 3 architecture that should keep up with the Core i7-10700K -- and most likely be compared against that chip, but it seems it could actually beat the higher-end Core i9-10900K.

AMD's next-gen Ryzen 9 5900X CPU: 12-core, 24-thread Intel destroyer?!
AMD is hard at work on its next-gen Zen 3 architecture, something we're going to be hearing about real soon -- like, on October 8 soon. But for now, we have some leaks.
In a new tweet from software engineer Patrick Shur, we have some new information on AMD's new Zen 3-based CPU family which will reportedly be called the Ryzen 5000 series. Most were expecting the Ryzen 4000 series (which is already inside of laptops) but it seems AMD could leave the Ryzen 4000 nomenclature for its Renoir FP6 (mobile) and Renoir AM4 (desktop) series.
Shur tweeted that we are to expect the flagship Ryzen 9 5900X as a 12-core, 24-thread CPU while the Ryzen 7 5800X is an 8-core, 16-thread design. Better yet, these new samples are reportedly hitting a huge 4.9GHz which should give Intel a run for its money with its 10th gen Core CPUs.
