Detroit: Become Human on PC: new engine, 4K support and December debut
The developers behind Detroit: Become Human have announced that their critically acclaimed title will be arriving on PC next month.
Quantic Dream, the developers behind other well-known titles such as Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls have said that their previously PlayStation-exclusive titles would be making their way over to PC. Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls have already made the transition, and now its time for Detroit: Become Human to as well.
PC gamers might be worried about the port being rushed and not delivered correctly. Well, I can put your worries aside for you, as we have confirmation by Quantic Dream co-founder that this is no sloppy port. According to Quantic Dream co-founder David Cage, "Porting the game to PC has been a tremendous challenge, as we wanted players to get the original experience without any compromise. So we entirely redesigned the interface and developed a new engine to offer 4K resolution and high quality rendering on a wide range of PCs."

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti SUPER rumored specs are ridiculously good
NVIDIA told me at E3 2019 during the GeForce RTX SUPER unveiling that there would NOT be a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti SUPER, but according to the latest rumors it appears that the RTX 2080 Ti SUPER is really coming and it'll be a BEAST.
The latest rumors are coming from kopite7kimi on Twitter, who has leaked out other information on the previous RTX SUPER and GTX 16 graphics cards from NVIDIA. The new rumor pegs up some specs on the card with NVIDIA reportedly using the full Turing TU102 GPU with a mean 4608 CUDA cores, 576 tensor cores, 72 RT cores, 288 texture units, and 96 ROPs and even-faster 16Gbps GDDR6 memory.
We should expect NVIDIA to go above and beyond with the amount of GDDR6, with the non-SUPER GeForce RTX 2080 Ti having 11GB of GDDR6 the new purported RTX 2080 Ti could have 11-16GB of GDDR6. I would like to see it with 12GB minimum, but rather 16GB -- it provides a nice buffer between the insane 24GB of GDDR6 on the flagship TITAN RTX.

Elon Musk's SpaceX 'Starship' takes its first 'breath' of life
SpaceX seems to have just breathed life into its biggest rocket yet, the full-size Starship Mk1 vehicle. Are we ready to take off yet?
Perhaps not just yet, but the preliminary testing before take-off is underway. According to onlookers of the Starship testing at SpaceX's facilities near South Texas town Boca Chica, the Starship prototype entered a pressure testing phase. Above, we have a video from the NASASpaceflight YouTube Channel, who captured SpaceX employees working on Starship and then it's first-ever vent test.
SpaceX CEO and founder Elon Musk has said that the Starship Mk1 will be companies deep-space transportation vehicles and that the rockets used aboard the ship will be reusable to minimalize flight costs. Starship is 165-feet tall and uses SpaceX's biggest rocket yet, the Super Heavy. SpaceX recently got selected by NASA to work on the Artemis lunar program to design a lunar lander, check out that article here.

PlayStation 5 rumored to cost $499, launches November 20, 2020
It looks like we have a final date for Sony launching its next-gen PlayStation 5 console, with a new rumor saying the PS5 will launch in the US on November 20, 2020 -- for a price of $499.
Gran Turismo 7 will reportedly be a PlayStation 5 launch title, with the game launching on November 20, 2020 as well. The new rumor is from the PSErebus Twitter account, which teased: "Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) will launch PlayStation 5 (PS5) in several countries in the holiday season of 2020 and will make PlayStation 5 (PS5) available in North America on November 20, 2020 at a recommended retail price (RRP) or $499".
Another thing is that Sony may have been a little too quiet at E3 2019 earlier this year, but the hype quickly ramped up for the PlayStation 5 and now it's being said that E3 2020 will be a hot spot for details on the PS5. Sony CEO Shawn Layden recently said in an interview with GameInformer: "Just because PlayStation is not at E3 2019 doesn't mean we won't be there in 2020".

NASA study: low-gravity can cause reverse blood flow and even clotting
Since humans could see there were other planets nearby, we have always wanted to pursue these distant worlds, but what are the risks of traveling there?
NASA has recently conducted a new study on astronauts that spent some time on the International Space Station (ISS) and returned back to Earth. The study showed evidence of the human being affected by low-gravity, and more specifically, in the astronaut's upper body. The study looked at eleven astronauts, nine men and two women who spent an average of six months aboard the ISS.
NASA used ultrasounds on the astronauts and found that by the 50th day aboard the floating lab that seven of the eleven astronauts had a lack of blood flowing through their internal jugular vein. The study also found that the blood sometimes even went in reverse. For those that don't know what the internal jugular vein is, it's a vital vein located on the side of your neck that collects blood from the brain and face. NASA also found that one of the astronauts developed clotting in the vein while still in flight back to Earth.

What's the cure for Climate Change? This scientists says cannibalism
So what happens when we run out of food due to climate change pushing us in that direction? A Swedish scientist has said that we should consider the idea of eating human flesh.
A Swedish scientist called Soderlund spoke throughout an interview on the State Swedish Television channel TV4. Throughout his interview he gave a power-point presentation called "Can you Imagine Eating Human Flesh?". As you can imagine this power-point included many topics that pointed towards cannibalism being the solution to the ill effects of climate change.
Soderlund explained that he isn't calling for people to go out and kill their neighbours and eat their corpses for dinner like humans did back in ancient times. Instead, he argues that over time food sources will become more scarce which would then result in people having to think outside the box to obtain food. That outside of the box thinking would first start with humans consuming pets, insects and then eventually other humans. The scientist believes that if people were introduced to human flesh over a long period of time there wouldn't be that much of a resistance.

Meteors may have assisted in life's origin, first space 'sugars' found
Scientists have been pondering the origins of life since they have had the mental capacity to do so. Today we have been brought one step closer to the answer.
A team of scientists has made a brand new breakthrough discovery regarding the origins of life and how they occurred on Earth. The team has found ribose, arabinose, and xylose sugars in two different meteorites, which has now been added to an already growing list of biologically relevant compounds that have been found in space rocks. Ribose is a critical component of RNA (ribonucleic acid), and in modern life, RNA is the messenger molecule that copies genetic instructions from DNA.
Yoshihiro Furukawa of Tohoku University, Japan, lead author of the study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, said "Other important building blocks of life have been found in meteorites previously, including amino acids (components of proteins) and nucleobases (components of DNA and RNA), but sugars have been a missing piece among the major building blocks of life. The research provides the first direct evidence of ribose in space and the delivery of the sugar to Earth. The extraterrestrial sugar might have contributed to the formation of RNA on the prebiotic Earth which possibly led to the origin of life."

Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition rumored to launch mid-2020
Microsoft has just debuted the second definitive edition for the Age of Empires series, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition. So when are we going to get the third definitive edition?
The release of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition just happened, and if you are an Age fan then I highly recommend you picking up the game as its fantastic. I've personally been pumping hours into the title, and I can't express how much I've been enjoying reliving my childhood in HD graphics.
So now that we have Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, when are we going to get the third game? According to a recent rumor by FairyEmpire, who reportedly had a conversation with some Microsoft developers at XO19, Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition is planned for launch sometime through mid-2020. If this rumor is true, it will line up with the other rumor of Age of Empires IV being launched the following year.

Age of Empires IV has been in development for 3yrs, 2021 release date?
Back at XO19, Microsoft revealed Age of Empires IV to fans, and now that the hype train has officially left the station, when should we expect the final stop?
Since the official reveal, fans have been teased with some facts about the game. We have got the confirmation that Age of Empires IV will feature next-gen AI and that the title is specifically designed for 4K on the PC. There is also the recent announcement that Age 4 won't have any microtransactions and instead follow a traditional DLC path for extra content.
Now the rumors are starting to fly. According to ResetEra user FairyEmpire, who reportedly managed to speak to some developers at XO19 and found out that Age of Empires IV has been in development for just three years. If that is true, a further two years sounds like an appropriate amount of time for the title to be completed and then released. Which means that we are looking at (most likely) a release date somewhere throughout 2021.

Qualcomm aims to ship over 750 million 5G smartphones in 2022
Qualcomm has been at the forefront of 5G for years now, with the Snapdragon giant set to unleash 5G onto the world in a big way over the coming years -- with plans of seeing over 750 million 5G-capable smartphones in the wild by 2022.
The company recently made the prediction during its recent Analyst Day 2019, providing an idea of what to expect over the next few years when it comes to 5G. Qualcomm talked about 5G growth during the event, where it said it expects to see 175-225 million 5G handsets deployed in 2020, over 450 million by 2021, and a huge 750 million by 2022.
Qualcomm notes that 5G adoption will be faster than 4G due to the "timing of China commercialization and availability of chipsets across tiers". The company will have three different tiers of its Snapdragon processors with 5G capabilities in 2020, with the Snapdragon 600 and 700 series to both pack 5G while its flagship Snapdragon 800 series will continue on with its 5G powers.

PowerColor RX 5700 XT Liquid Devil: liquid cooled Navi costs $599
PowerColor has just unveiled what appears to be the best custom Navi graphics card yet, with the new Radeon RX 5700 XT Liquid Devil coming in with liquid cooling and its Navi GPU clocked at up to 2070MHz -- the fastest clocks on a Navi 10 out of the box yet.
The new PowerColor RX 5700 XT Liquid Devil features an EK Water Blocks made full-cover water block, with PowerColor tweaking it with their own logos and design traits. EK's water block on the Radeon RX 5700 XT Liquid Devil covers the entire PCB which means the Navi 10 GPU is liquid cooled, the 8GB of GDDR6 memory is liquid cooled, and the VRMs and MOSFETs are also cooled by liquid.
EKWB uses a nickel-plated copper base that takes heat away from the 7nm Navi 10 GPU, 8GB of GDDR6 memory and other heat-generating parts of the card. It does all of this while looking great too, with PowerColor throwing in some RGB lighting that isn't too over the top -- and if anything, really makes the card pop.

AMD Radeon Pro W5700: workstation Navi, 8GB GDDR6, 9 TFLOPs for $799
AMD has announced its first Navi-based workstation graphics card with the new Radeon Pro W5700, featuring the Navi 10 GPU based on the RDNA architecture on 7nm -- the world's first 7nm workstation graphics card.
The new Radeon Pro W5700 packs 36 compute units which translates into 2304 stream processors and 64 ROPs, meaning it's not the full Navi 10 chip used on the flagship Radeon RX 5700 gaming card. We do have the Navi 10 GPU clocked at up to 1930MHz, resulting in total compute power of 8.89 TFLOPs.
AMD has chosen to use 8GB of GDDR6 on the same 256-bit memory bus as the Radeon RX 5700 XT, with the GDDR6 clocked at 14Gbps we have memory bandwidth of up to 448GB/sec. The one thing lacking from the new Navi-based Radeon Pro W5700 workstation graphics card is the use of ECC memory, something that the Vega-based Radeon Pro cards did offer.

Tesla battery output/storage in South Australia to expand by 50%
Just over 200km north of me here in South Australia is the huge Tesla battery storage array in Hornsdale, with the Hornsdale Power Reserve currently having battery output of 100 megawatts -- and that's to soon increase by 50%.
Tesla, the South Australian government and federal government, as well as French renewable energy company Neoen will be expanding the Hornsdale Power Reserve from 100 megawatts, to 150 megawatts. The upgrades will also include battery storage capacity boosts, which will see it expand up to 193.5 megawatt hours -- enough juice to keep it operating at 100% for over an hour.
The deal comes at the perfect time, with weather here in South Australia for November 20 set to be the hottest November on record with temperatures hitting 40C (104F) at just 10AM. I'm writing this news with all air conditioning on right now and I'm just surviving, but the electrical grid will be taking a big strain today.

Halo 1 PC beta tests will start in 2020
Halo: Reach is coming to PC in just a few weeks, but 343i will take a break before it starts testing out its next Halo PC project.
Once Reach ships on December 3, the next up for a PC launch is Halo: Combat Evolved. But don't expect to try out Master Chief's original FPS adventure on PC before 2020 (unless of course you play the old-school version).
"Once Reach comes out next month, after the holiday we will start to reset and we'll start to flight Halo CE. We're just going to keep going down the road until we fill out the rest of the collection," 343i's Brian Jarrard told PCGamesN.

What it's like to play Stadia with terrible latency
Stadia's biggest drawback (or streaming in general) is latency and lag. They can interrupt gameplay tremendously in action games where reaction times are critical, which includes nearly the entire Stadia launch lineup.
Latency was always one of the biggest concerns about Stadia, Google's new game streaming service. But how bad can it get? Pretty bad. The Washington Post recently illustrated Stadia's potential latency issues in a few GIFs, and they're not too pretty.
Since your internet speeds are always in flux, there's no guarantee you'll have a constantly-stable session unless your connection doesn't dip below a certain threshold. Admittedly enough, though, we haven't actually played Stadia and are going off of second-hand reports. I did try Project Stream last year, though, and found it to be an amazing experience.

PlayStation game demos are coming back with Sony's ambitious new plan
A recent Sony patent shows how the PlayStation Network could get much, much more socially interactive, complete with save state sharing and user-created game demos.
Sony is currently ramping up its services to prepare for its next-gen PlayStation 5 console, and PS Now is a big part of that acceleration. But how can PlayStation Now actually evolve? It already allows offline downloads, and just got a cheaper $10 a month price tag. Now all it needs is more innovative and interactive social features that allow subscribers to spread the word organically, and to do that, Sony is taking plays out of Google Stadia's playbook while making some interesting moves of its own.
According to a new Sony patent, PlayStation Now's game streaming service may eventually let users share their saves with other gamers. The idea is to create a save point in a specific game, then beam it to a friend via social media or even email, who can then click on the link and take over. This isn't exclusive to PS Now, either, and should work with any game sold on the PlayStation Store.

NASA select SpaceX, Blue Origin and more to design Artemis Moon lander
NASA has introduced five more companies into the Artemis lunar program, and these companies will be designing what they think is the best moon lander for an astronaut return trip.
NASA has selected the following companies to join its Commercial Lunar Payload Services program (CLPS): SpaceX, Blue Origin, Sierra Nevada Corp., Ceres Robotics and Tyvak Nano-Satellite Systems, Inc. The basis of this program is that private companies will be able to compete for contracts to deliver NASA science to the surface of the moon. This means that the previously listed companies will all be designing their lunar lander, along with nine other NASA selected companies.
According to NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine, "American aerospace companies of all sizes are joining the Artemis program. Expanding the group of companies who are eligible to bid on sending payloads to the moon's surface drives innovation and reduces costs to NASA and American taxpayers. We anticipate opportunities to deliver a wide range of science and technology payloads to help make our vision for lunar exploration a reality and advance our goal of sending humans to explore Mars."

Amazon injects free music streaming into Android, iOS & Fire TV
Amazon has decided to expand its music sector by releasing the free service on to more devices. Amazon Music is now on Android, iOS, and Fire TV.
Originally the free music streaming service was just available on Alexa devices, but now that has changed for users in the US, UK, and Germany. At the moment, the service limits free users with listening to playlists and stations that are from specific artists, genres, and songs.
The whole idea of the limitation is to give users a tease of what the service has to offer, and then hopefully either annoy the user into purchasing the whole service, or convince the user to upgrade their Prime package in some fashion. If you are in need of a music streaming service, you can check out Amazon Prime here.
