CD PROJEKT RED is very slowly drip-drip-drip revealing Cyberpunk 2077 more and more before its huge launch on November 19.

The latest reveal is a tease of North Oak, which will be a part of Night City in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. North Oak is the newest part of Night City, with it being the 'exclusive residential district' that is free from poverty and gangs that plague the city in Cyberpunk 2077.

North Oak was created after the 'Nuke Incident' and the destructrion of the Arasaka Twin Towers complex, where North Oak became a site of temporary refugee camps for around 25 years. You can read up on the back story of North Oak, and everything else Cyberpunk 2077, right here.

Just in time for the Quest 2 launch, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is now available on the Oculus Quest mobile VR platform. If you're new to VR, maybe try something else before giving yourself a heart attack in a zombie apocalypse.

Skydance Interactive today released the Oculus Quest port of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, one of the most highly acclaimed VR games in the horror genre. The game came out last year on PC VR and PCVR, and now it's available for Oculus' standalone VR solution.

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is an open-world survival horror game situated in the heart of New Orleans. Players need to scavenge for equipment such as weapons, food, and crafting materials, while they fight for their lives against uncountable numbers of bloodthirsty walkers.

Beat Games today released the long-awaited multiplayer update for one of VR's hottest games, Beat Saber. Now you can battle your friends in Tetris-style head-to-head beat-slashing competition.

Beat Saber, if you're unaware, is one of, if not the hottest game in virtual reality. An excellent way to describe it would be Dance Dance Revolution meets with Rockband, with lightsabres. It's a simple game that anyone can pick up, but it's a very challenging game to master. Beat Saber has given many people countless hours of calorie-burning entertainment, but it's been a solo experience until now. Now it's a competitive event.

Beat Saber's new multiplayer mode puts you against up to four other players for five-way battle action. The game features a matchmaking system that lets you jump in quickly, but it also allows you to host private matches for you and your friends.

Burger King might've just revealed the PS5's startup sound with a new giveaway promo.

Sony is teaming up with Burger King to help drive up burger sales and build massive hype for the PS5. A new leaked promo offers the chance for a free PS5 with every 2 for $5 deal at Burger King. The catch is you have to use the BK App to buy the food, which means digital payments with a debit or credit card. The giveaway appears to be for a digital-only PS5.

This promo isn't really a surprise though. Earlier this morning the fast food chain teased giveaway with a Tweet that might've confirmed the console's OS bootup sound. A weird way to reveal something like this, but then again nothing about 2020 has been ordinary.

Apex Legends for the Nintendo Switch has been rated by the ESRB, confirming an arrival on Nintendo's mega-hot platform.

After avoiding Nintendo's handheld-console hybrid for quite a while, EA is starting to warm up to the Switch. The publisher is bringing Apex Legends over to the Switch in a bid to tap the platform's huge 61.44 million install base, complete with in-game monetization.

Neither Respawn nor EA have made an official release date announcement for Apex on Switch, but earlier this month the studio confirmed the port was still in development. We should expect cross-play at some point but cross-progression might be iffy. Also expect a paid Switch Online account to be required too.

Rockstar Games has purchased majority interest in Halo and Crackdown 2 developer Ruffian Games for an undisclosed amount, and formed the brand new Rockstar Dundee branch.

According to recent document filings, Take-Two Interactive subsidiary Rockstar Games has purchased majority stake in Ruffian Games via an acquisition takeover. Ruffian is now officially called Rockstar Dundee, named after Ruffian's location in Dundee, Scotland, and joins Rockstar's international webwork of dev studios. At the time of writing, Rockstar Games now has 10 worldwide studios.

The buyout wasn't explicitly announced since Rockstar is technically a private company within Take-Two. The acquisition gives important clues in what's next from Rockstar and it's likely the takeover was planned as far back as 2019. Last year, Ruffian confirmed that it's helping Rockstar develop multiple new games.

Ailing retailer GameStop teams up with Microsoft to power its online infrastructure, employee teams, and solidify a future in a digital-driven landscape.

GameStop has been in trouble for years now. As of June, the company owes a staggering $417 million in debt and its recent storefront transformations have been disrupted thanks to COVID-19. Now the retailer is pivoting more towards digital ecommerce without giving up on physical console, hardware, and merchandise sales.

GameStop recently announced a strategic multi-year partnership with Microsoft that will help it transition more towards ecommerce. Microsoft's Dynamic365 software and cloud suite will power GameStop's business data infrastructure, arming the retailer with robust, flexible, and efficient tools to manage sales and other key data points.

Thanks to Microsoft's expansive backwards compatibility initiative, the Xbox 360 remains an important part of next-gen.

I've often said this is the most important feature for next-gen.

Even 15 years later during a time that sees the most powerful, synergized, and advanced consoles ever made, Microsoft still isn't ready to leave the Xbox 360 behind. One of the most important features has been unlocked on the Xbox 360: game save preservation and easy migration.

Backwards compatible games get significant boosts on the new Xbox Series X and Series S consoles, opening up a new dimension of play on yesteryear games.

Today Microsoft confirmed the Series X/S next-gen duo can double frame rates in select backwards compatible games. Optimized titles like Fallout 4 get boosted from 30FPS to 60FPS on the new hardware thanks to advanced new BC techniques and higher-end CPU, GPU, RAM, and SSD components. Microsoft is careful to say not every game will get the 60FPS bump though.

This is a huge milestone that effectively changes how games can play. Titles originally restricted to just 30FPS on the weaker, Jaguar-powered Xbox One are now unshackled to mirror PC-esque performance on the new consoles. The jump to 60FPS is a big leap for specific games, especially games with shooting mechanics like Fallout 4. There's still a lot we don't know about this mode--like resolution targets, or what games support it--and like anything else with next-gen, there's lots of variability here.

Gears of War Tactics developer Splash Damage is currently working on a few mysterious big projects and plans to start aggressively hiring new developers.

Splash Damage is currently ramping up pre-production teams on sizable new projects. According to Splash Damage's lead writer Ed Stern, these include "laaarge secret game projects" that haven't been announced yet. Splash Damage is best known for its role in creating the PC version of The Master Chief Collection, developing Gears of War 5's multiplayer, and more recently, making Gears Tactics.

Google also teamed up with the studio to make Outcasters, a Stadia-exclusive arcade-style multiplayer game.

Finally... finally, finally, finally -- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is about to get a bit smaller on the PC with its new 1.28 update that will begin rolling out in the next few hours.

The new update will let PC owners of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare uninstall specific parts of the game, so if you're only playing Warzone or multiplayer in MW, you can uninstall the single player campaign and save some precious space on your HDD or SSD.

The news is coming from Paul Haile, who is the Production Director on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, announcing it over Twitter. We don't know what else the new COD: MW 1.28 update will include, or how big the patch will be -- but whatever is required to reduce the storage required for PC users since the game is weighing around 250GB -- a quarter of a terabyte.

FOVE Inc today released version 1.0 of the software that powers its FOVE0 eye-tracking VR headset. The latest update introduces a handful of new features that should be helpful for the medical industry.

If you don't recall, FOVE Inc. was the first company to introduce an eye-tracking VR headset. FOVE launched a Kickstarter to fund the FOVE0 VR headset's development in 2016, and it began delivering those headsets in January 2017.

After fulfilling its backer commitment, FOVE retreated into obscurity, but it never went away. After four years of development, the company has finally released version 1.0 of its software platform.

Star Citizen has been in development for close to 10 years now, and between then and now it was split into factions -- one of them being the Hollywood star filled Squadron 42.

In a new development update on Squadron 42, developer Cloud Imperium Games talked about it all in the video above -- while Chris Roberts said that the game would be done, "when it's done". Roberts explained: "The best answer for your question is Squadron 42 will be done when it is done, and will not be released just to make a date but instead once all the tech and content is finished, polished and it plays great".

Disney has announced a major reorganization of its media and entertainment divisions, that will have a far increased focus on making content for its streaming and broadcast services.

The company has also outlined that its media businesses, ads, distribution, and Disney+ will be centralized into a single, global Media and Entertainment Distribution organization. The newly-formed Media and Entertainment Distribution will take control of everything, with the focus tightened on streaming.

Newly-minted Disney CEO Bob Chapek explains: "Given the incredible success of Disney+ and our plans to accelerate our direct-to-consumer business, we are strategically positioning our Company to more effectively support our growth strategy and increase shareholder value".

Do you remember AMD's exciting Project Quantum PC from 2016? Well, it looks like it might be making a comeback -- and it could be a very big one at that.

A new patent filing teases AMD is still tinkering around with Project Quantum, which now has an integrated PSU. The new patent was filed in February 2020, and approved on September 15, 2020. Project Quantum was originally announced in 2015, teased in 2016, and shelved inside of the same year.

The original AMD Project Quantum was powered by an Intel CPU and dual Fiji GPUs at the time, but now... imagine a new Project Quantum powered by the just-announced Zen 3-based Ryzen 5000 series CPU and an upcoming RDNA 2-based Radeon RX 6000 series graphics card.
