Scientists may have just found the cure for a hangover
If you are above the age of 21 or even a little bit younger, than you probably know the effects of what a hangover feels like.
But what if I could tell you scientists have concluded what supplements can be taken to reduce the effects of a hangover? A new study has been published in the journal Alcohol and Alcoholism, and the focus of the study was to find out if the amino acid L-cysteine has the ability to significantly reduce hangover symptoms such as headaches, lethargy, anxiety, and nausea/vomiting.
The researchers write, "Alcohol-related hangover symptoms: nausea, headache, stress and anxiety cause globally considerable amount of health problems and economic losses. Many of these harmful effects are produced by alcohol and its metabolite, acetaldehyde, which also is a common ingredient in alcohol beverages. The aim of the present study is to investigate the effect of the amino acid L-cysteine on the alcohol/acetaldehyde related aftereffects."

It would cost you $538,000 to buy every single game from Steam
If you've got $500,000+ burning a hole in your pocket, firstly -- I'll give you my bank details, but second if you wanted to buy all of the games on Steam -- and I mean all of htem, then it'll cost you a swift $538,000.
Well, if you want to be down to the dollar we're talking about $537,192.37 at full price, while the games currently discounted (at the time of writing) would cost you $521,909.63. Now remember, we're talking about every single damn game on Steam -- not just 100 or 200, but every single one.
The data is from Buy All Steam Games, which is constantly tracking Steam and all of its games and the entire price of every single one if you were to buy them at once. LG debuts gigantic new 163-inch 4K microLED display
LG has some of the finest displays on the market, with their industry-leading OLED panels -- but now, the South Korean electronics giant has just unveiled its huge new Magnit TV.
The new LG Magnit TV is a mammoth 163 inches, providing your full 4K resolution -- but don't go expecting to play games on it. The new Magnit TV has LG's own MicroLED technology which sees self-emissive micrometer-scale pixels that should have some stellar image quality with great viewing angles.
LG applies its in-house Black Coating technology to the actual surface of the MicroLEDs that improves color accuracy and contrast. It also acts as a protector to the display, protecting LG's surely absurdly expensive Magnit TV from dust, external shocks, and moisture -- on top of that, it's also anti-glare and anti-fingerprint. Nice.

Junkie XL teases his new score for Zack Snyder's Justice League
I'm a gigantic music score fan, with Hans Zimmer making some of the most beautiful tunes on this planet in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice -- but now it's time for Zack Snyder's Justice League.
Junkie XL has teased his Justice League theme on Twitter for Zack Snyder's Justice League, teased during the huge DC FanDome event. Take a listen above, and if you're like me -- prepare for goosebumps. Junkie XL is working side-by-side with legendary composer Hans Zimmer on the score for Zack Snyder's Justice League (more on that here), who worked on Zack Snyder's Man of Steel and Batman v Superman.
Junkie XL was scoring the original Justice League, but was thrown out like trash when Warner Bros. used Zack Snyder's daughter taking her own life in the post-production of Justice League -- to remove them all. They changed the movie completely, which is an entire story on its own -- and used Danny Elfman to score the movie.

Japan is sending 4K and 8K cameras to both Mars, and its moons
We're about to get some big camera upgrades on the Red Planet, with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and broadcaster NHK teaming on making new 4K and 8K cameras.
These new 4K and 8K cameras will be sent to capture images of Mars and its moons (both Phobos and Deimos) for the future Martian Moons Exploration (MMX) missions. Unlike Intel's multimedia instruction set, this version of MMX will take pictures and send them back to Earth to "create a smooth image".
The originals, however, will be stored on the capsule that will return to our pale blue dot. Japan is expected to have its MMX spacecraft liftoff in 2024, reaching Mars by 2025 -- then add another year for the capsule with the original pictures taken to arrive back home.

NVIDIA's next-gen Titan RTX specs teased: 48GB GDDR6X and over $3000
I'm sitting here benchmarking NVIDIA's upcoming GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition, which you can check out my unboxing right here, but now we have some juicy rumors on the Ampere-based TITAN RTX graphics card.
The news is coming from Moore's Law is Dead and his latest video that you can check out here, where he teases that Micron is allegedly working on even faster GDDR6X memory. MLID says that Micron will have 23Gbps GDDR6X memory available in Q1 2021 and that NVIDIA could use it on a next-gen TITAN RTX graphics card.
NVIDIA's purported TITAN RTX graphics card could pack 24GB or 48GB of GDDR6X memory, which I personally would be leaning into 48GB (to give a good distance between the RTX 3090 and its 24GB of GDDR6X). The super-speed 23Gbps GDDR6X would be used on a 352-bit memory bus that would provide a huge 1012GB/sec (1TB/sec) of memory bandwidth.

NVIDIA seals deal to acquire Arm for $40 billion, 'Age of AI' coming
NVIDIA and SoftBank Group Corp (SBG) have announced a definitive agreement where NVIDIA will acquire Arm Limited for $40 billion.
The deal will see NVIDIA grow into an even bigger beast, days before the GeForce RTX 3080 launches, where the company explains on its own website that the deal will combine NVIDIA's industry-leading work in AI with Arm's huge ecosystem to create the "premier computing company for the age of artificial intelligence, accelerating innovation while expanding into large, high-growth markets".
Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA explained: "AI is the most powerful technology force of our time and has launched a new wave of computing. In the years ahead, trillions of computers running AI will create a new internet-of-things that is thousands of times larger than today's internet-of-people. Our combination will create a company fabulously positioned for the age of AI".

PlayStation 5 may start at $399 in colossal 9th gen win for Sony
The PS5's price could start at $399 for the digital-only option, and $499 for the disc-based system, new store catalogs hint.
El Corte Ingles, Spain's biggest department store retailer, has reportedly added two mysterious consoles to its internal database: Aurea for $399, and Enigma for $499. These are likely codenames for the PlayStation 5 duo. If accurate, this would put the disc-less PlayStation 5 at $399, which will effectively seal the 9th generation for Sony.
These names seem to align with previous codenames used for Sony PlayStation hardware:

Saints Row V leaks: Saints Row 4 retconned, GTA 5-level performance
UPDATE: Deep Silver's Senior PR manager Alex Ryan confirms the rumors are totally fake:
Unverified 4Chan rumors may have leaked Saints Row V story and gameplay details. If accurate, Volition is taking the series back to its crime-infested roots.
New 4Chan leaks outline some possibilities for Saints Row V's content and features. We know Volition has been working on the sequel for years now, and THQ Nordic's financials hint the game could release in FY2020 (ending March 31, 2021). The studio has been tight-lipped on key details though.

Xbox Series X SSD natively reduces loading times by 77%
The new customized PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD in next-gen Xbox consoles can significantly reduce loading times by default without requiring upgrade patches from developers.
The Xbox Series S/X SSD is a game-changer, and can natively boost loading times in games that aren't even optimized for the system. As shown in a recent Series S showcase video, the 2.4GB/sec PCIe 4.0 SSD cuts loading times in games like The Outer Worlds by more than 70%.
The Outer Worlds on a Series S loaded in just 12 seconds, compared to the 53 seconds on Xbox One S. That's a 77% reduction in loading times. The game wasn't optimized for Series S/X and was simply running in backward compatibility mode.

Crazy Spider-Man PlayStation 5 visuals teased by Insomniac Games
Insomniac teases high-end shadows and lighting on PS5 ahead of Wednesday's big new event.
Complete with ray-traced visuals and next-gen atmospheric fog, shadow, and lighting enhancements, high-end textures, and ultra-fast loading, Spider-Man: Miles Morales should exemplify the PS5's power at launch. While we haven't seen official gameplay footage just yet, Insomniac teases a glimpse at Miles Morales' eye-popping visuals.
The footage is simply a 1-second clip looped over and over in a GIF, but it's enough to get fans riled up. There's real-time fog effects as Miles exhales in the cold city, dynamic lighting bounces off of every surface, motion is smooth and clear, and you can even see how the lighting passes through the car's exhaust as it moves. There's plumes of exhaled breath from the passersby and the characters move so realistically.

AMD Big Navi: hits 'spitting distance' of GeForce RTX 3080 performance
I'm still benchmarking and playing around with my new GeForce RTX 3080 -- sorry guys, review will be here on September 16 though, and we have the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition Unboxing article right here.
But the world doesn't stop, and especially not now when both companies are ramping up into releasing their next-gen graphics cards. We know heaps about the GeForce RTX 3080 and there's even more I cannot say, but let's talk about AMD -- Big Navi is coming, and new rumors are surfacing about performance.
Moore's Law is Dead is "confident" that AMD will be releasing a new Navi 21-powered graphics card that will have performance that will be within "spitting distance of the RTX 3080 in rasterization performance. If AMD doesn't "beat" the 3080, they will assuredly crush the RTX 3070".

NVIDIA next-gen Quadro RTX with Ampere GPU spotted with 48GB of GDDR6
NVIDIA has already unveiled its new Ampere-based GeForce RTX 30 series, with the new GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition recently unboxed on TweakTown -- we're now hearing about Quadro RTX.
Moore's Law is Dead is behind the news, posting a screenshot from the NVIDIA Control Panel that teased an unannounced, unknown Ampere-based graphics card. The graphics card in question has 48GB of GDDR6 memory (not GDDR6X like in the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090) and 10752 CUDA cores.
NVIDIA's purported Quadro RTX graphics card would have its 48GB of GDDR6 on a 384-bit memory bus, with 768GB/sec of memory bandwidth. Keep in mind the GeForce RTX 3080 has 10GB of GDDR6X on a 320-bit memory bus with 760GB/sec memory bandwidth.

This new 120-inch 8K display is perfect for NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3090
Sharp has just unveiled its new 8M-B120C -- which by name alone might not sound like much but it is an absolute beast.
The new TV is a mammoth 120-inch in size, with Sharp using a UV2A II LCD panel and a glorious 8K resolution -- so the full 7680 x 4320. When it's used at 8K you'll have a 60Hz refresh rate, but if you bump it down to 4K you'll be able to enjoy a super-smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
Sharp is using the latest HDMI 2.1 connectivity on its 8M-B120C TV, which is the only one capable of delivering 8K60 and 4K120 over a single cable. There are no graphics cards on the market with HDMI 2.1 just yet so you can't plug your PC into Sharp's glorious new 8K TV -- but you will be able to on September 17, which is when NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3080 launches (and that has HDMI 2.1 connectivity).

The current-gen Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles will be enjoying some software-based ray tracing thanks to Crysis Remastered, with the trailer above showing it off in real-time for the first time ever. All before the next-gen consoles have launched.
Crytek captured all of the footage of Crysis Remastered running on the faster PlayStation 4 Pro -- but the Xbox One X console will also do the same thing. PC gamer? You can expect even more graphical bells and whistles.

NVIDIA announces GeForce RTX 3070 will be available on October 15
NVIDIA has just delayed the review embargo for its upcoming Ampere-based GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition -- from September 14, to September 16 -- you can read more on that here.
But inside of that news was something a little smaller, but equally as important: NVIDIA will be launching its GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card on October 15. NVIDIA announced the GeForce RTX 3070 would launch "in October" when it revealed the GeForce RTX 30 series cards, but now hve an exact date: October 16.
AMD has its Big Navi / RDNA 2 / Radeon RX 6000 series reveal event on October 28, but NVIDIA will get in first with its new GeForce RTX 3070 on October 16.

NVIDIA delays GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition reviews to Sept 16
NVIDIA has delayed the review NDA of its upcoming GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition by 48 hours, from September 14 to September 16.
The news gives reviewers (like myself) another two days of testing, with NVIDIA explaining that they've had issues with shipping samples of the GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition graphics cards around the world because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Not only that, but NVIDIA also announced that they will be making their GeForce RTX 3070 (which will deliver GeForce RTX 2080 Ti levels of performance) starting on October 15 -- which will spoil AMD's big party with the Big Navi / RDNA 2 / Radeon RX 6000 series reveal event.

Fortnite could be banned from iOS until 2021
As retaliation for its anti-trust case, Apple is prepared to keep Epic titles off of iOS for an entire year.
Apple could penalize Epic Games and keep Fortnite off of iOS and Mac devices for a full year, court documents reveal. On August 28, 2020, Apple revoked Epic's developer license and doesn't plan to reinstate it for a full year. That means Fortnite will not be allows on iOS devices until 2021, which cuts off Apple from lucrative millions and denies Epic access to 116 million registered users on the iOS platform.
The info was gleaned from Epic's preliminary injunction filed on September 4, which aimed to convince courts to overturn Apple's decision and forcibly reinstate Epic's developer account. It's noted in Exhibit H in the court documents, which reads:
