I'm still benchmarking and playing around with my new GeForce RTX 3080 -- sorry guys, review will be here on September 16 though, and we have the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition Unboxing article right here.

But the world doesn't stop, and especially not now when both companies are ramping up into releasing their next-gen graphics cards. We know heaps about the GeForce RTX 3080 and there's even more I cannot say, but let's talk about AMD -- Big Navi is coming, and new rumors are surfacing about performance.

Moore's Law is Dead is "confident" that AMD will be releasing a new Navi 21-powered graphics card that will have performance that will be within "spitting distance of the RTX 3080 in rasterization performance. If AMD doesn't "beat" the 3080, they will assuredly crush the RTX 3070".

NVIDIA has already unveiled its new Ampere-based GeForce RTX 30 series, with the new GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition recently unboxed on TweakTown -- we're now hearing about Quadro RTX.

Moore's Law is Dead is behind the news, posting a screenshot from the NVIDIA Control Panel that teased an unannounced, unknown Ampere-based graphics card. The graphics card in question has 48GB of GDDR6 memory (not GDDR6X like in the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090) and 10752 CUDA cores.

NVIDIA's purported Quadro RTX graphics card would have its 48GB of GDDR6 on a 384-bit memory bus, with 768GB/sec of memory bandwidth. Keep in mind the GeForce RTX 3080 has 10GB of GDDR6X on a 320-bit memory bus with 760GB/sec memory bandwidth.

NVIDIA has just delayed the review embargo for its upcoming Ampere-based GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition -- from September 14, to September 16 -- you can read more on that here.

But inside of that news was something a little smaller, but equally as important: NVIDIA will be launching its GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card on October 15. NVIDIA announced the GeForce RTX 3070 would launch "in October" when it revealed the GeForce RTX 30 series cards, but now hve an exact date: October 16.

AMD has its Big Navi / RDNA 2 / Radeon RX 6000 series reveal event on October 28, but NVIDIA will get in first with its new GeForce RTX 3070 on October 16.

NVIDIA has delayed the review NDA of its upcoming GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition by 48 hours, from September 14 to September 16.

The news gives reviewers (like myself) another two days of testing, with NVIDIA explaining that they've had issues with shipping samples of the GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition graphics cards around the world because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Not only that, but NVIDIA also announced that they will be making their GeForce RTX 3070 (which will deliver GeForce RTX 2080 Ti levels of performance) starting on October 15 -- which will spoil AMD's big party with the Big Navi / RDNA 2 / Radeon RX 6000 series reveal event.

EVGA has a pretty good stack of custom GeForce RTX 3080 graphcis cards coming, with no less than 5 custom RTX 3080 cards on the way.

The fastest of them all is EVGA's new GeForce RTX 3080 FTW3 ULTRA graphics card, which has a GPU boost clock of 1.8GHz -- making it the fastest custom GeForce RTX 3080 so far. It is a 2.75-slot graphics card, with a chunky triple-fan cooler with EVGA's in-house ICX3 cooling technology and full-cover backplate.

You will need triple 8-pin PCIe power connectors, compared to the single 12-pin (which requires dual 8-pin) PCIe power connectors on NVIDIA's own GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition graphics card.

EVGA's upcoming GeForce RTX 3070 XC3 has been spotted in the wild, with EVGA's own Jacob Freeman, tweeting out a picture of the card. Check it out:

The new EVGA GeForce RTX 3070 XC3 has a 2.2-slot design and a large triple-fan cooler, and will be one of two custom GeForce RTX 3070 graphics cards from EVGA. The other will be the higher-end premium GeForce RTX 3070 ICX3 FTW3.

We have a fully custom PCB on EVGA's new GeForce RTX 3070 XC3, with a triple-fan cooler and massive heat sink that you can see underneath. Freeman said that the RTX 3070 XC3 will be around 11.2 inches tall (or long) while the RTX 3070 FTW3 card is 11.8 inches.

AMD only just teased it would be revealing much more about its new Big Navi graphics card family, based on the RDNA 2 graphics architecture, on October 28.

But now less than 12 hours later we have a new mysterious engineering sample photo of a purported Big Navi graphics card. The leak is saying that this particular card uses 16GB of GDDR6 from Samsung (compared to the 8GB, 10GB, and 24GB of GDDR6/X that NVIDIA is using from Micron on Ampere).

Not only that but there are "only 8 video memory bits" which means we're looking at a 256-bit memory bus, which is "far less" than the GeForce RTX 3090. This might be Big Navi, but AMD needs the bigger guns with something like Bigger or even possibly Biggest Navi if it wants to compete with the beast that is the GeForce RTX 3090.

AMD has just announced it will be revealing its next-gen RDNA 2 graphics architecture on October 28, in a new tweet that you can check out below:

AMD teases a that RDNA 2 is a "breakthrough gaming architecture" designed for both "PCs and consoles" and that "a new journey begins October 28". I guess we'll be introduced to Big Navi, which should be the new Radeon RX 6700 XT if AMD keeps the same nomenclature.

The new card will be the competitor to NVIDIA's about-to-be-released monster GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card, but recent rumors have suggested Big Navi will bring with it 16GB of VRAM -- up from the 10GB offered on the RTX 3080.

NVIDIA will be kicking off the price of its riduclous but oh-so-delicious GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card at $1499, but you knew it wasn't going to stay there long.

The GeForce RTX 3090 isn't even out yet and we're seeing custom RTX 3090 pricing that is passing $2000, with German retailer Caseking.de listing custom GeForce RTX 3090 graphics cards priced at €1,719 which converts to just over $2000 USD without taxes.

It looks like the cheapest custom GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card is going to cost around $1855, while the cheapest custom GeForce RTX 3080 will cost around $900. This is without taxes in the US so those prices might be a little higher depending on where you live.

TechPowerUp has released it's latest version GPU-Z which now has built-in support for NVIDIA's new Ampere-based GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards.

The new GPU-Z v2.34.0 supports all of the new Ampere graphics cards, including the GeForce RTX 3090 with its huge 24GB of GDDR6X, and monster star $699 GeForce RTX 3080 and the new GeForce RTX 3070 are all supported.

Not just that, but support for Intel Tiger Lake, Comet Lake (Xeon W-1290P, Celeron 5205U, Core i3-8140U), Ice Lake (Core i5-1038NG7), Whiskey Lake (Core i5-8265U) is included, as too is support for DirectX 12 FL 12_2 and Micron's new GDDR6X memory which is featured on the GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards.

Update: VideoCardz tweeted that these images are in fact not from crypto miners, but from Chinese retailers.

Well, it looks like GeForce RTX 3080 stock is going to be non-existent thanks to crypto miners -- as the new Ampere-based GeForce RTX 3080 is an Ethereum mining beast.

According to photos surfacing on China's Baidu forums, crypto miners are buying the new GeForce RTX 3080 graphics cards in major bulk -- to fill their ETH crypto mines. You can see in the above images there are boxes of custom GeForce RTX 3080 graphics cards.

NVIDIA revealed its trio of Ampere-based GeForce RTX 30 series cards last week, but now we have a family photo of all three of them side-by-side.

From left to right we have the GeForce RTX 3090 in all its girth and glory, next to it we have the GeForce RTX 3080 and on the far right the GeForce RTX 3070. It's funny, the GeForce RTX 3090 is so absurdly large that it makes the still-chunky GeForce RTX 3080 look small, and the RTX 3070 puny in comparison.

NVIDIA has a huge triple-slot design for the GeForce RTX 3090, which houses 24GB of GDDR6X memory while the GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 are both dual-slot graphics cards. The GeForce RTX 3070 has its dual fans on the front, with no rear fan (unlike the other two cards).

It seems AMD is going to drop some big Big Navi news right in the middle of every tech reviewer in the world testing their new GeForce RTX 3080.

AMD's Chief Gaming Architect and Marketing Frank Azor tweeted something very cryptic on Twitter just before, which is from "Tomorrow" which is a show tune from the musical Annie. The song itself pushes out an optimistic view of life -- so I guess AMD is telling us to continue being happy and optimistic for Radeon.

Even though NVIDIA just came out and dropped a $699 total freaking beast of a graphics card that out performs its previous-gen flagship $1199 card, a card that AMD couldn't match with RDNA (Radeon RX 5700 XT) and was meant to equal, or beat with Big Navi.

NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards are nearly here, but the new DLSS 2.1 upgrades that are coming through are going to be huge.

DLSS 2.1 is an enhancement to the already AI-enhanced DLSS 2.0 technology, with NVIDIA going into more detail during an Q&A session on Reddit recently. We already know there are going to be major VR improvements with DLSS 2.1, which will be good for future games in VR on Ampere.

EVGA is going to be pushing the GA102-300 GPU on its new GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 graphics cards to the silicon limit it seems -- 2.1GHz.

In a video posted to EVGA's own YouTube channel, they tease their OC software Precision X1 at the end of the video. It's there that we can see the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra graphics card with its GPU clock pushed up to 2105MHz.

We might see the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra not hitting this GPU clock speed, but I'm pretty confident it will. First, 2100MHz seems like a silicon ceiling... and secondly, EVGA wouldn't openly be showing this off if you couldn't get close to 2100MHz on their card.

NVIDIA came out and stomped all over the graphics card market last week with its next-gen Ampere-based GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards and now AMD is firing back...

... by releasing a bicycle, and we're not joking.

Yes, AMD has now just unleashed a new AMD Custom Mountain Bike and Custom Cruiser Bike that sell for $299 and can be purchased through the AMD Fan Store website. The company says the new bikes are "designed for many years of fun and comfortable transportation".

We are all hyped for NVIDIA's next-gen GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card, but now we have some benchmarks to totally drool over.

In some new benchmarks on the Compubench benchmark suite, we have some CUDA and OpenCL numbers that are just insane. VideoCardz has compiled the list of benchmarks, where we have an average of 150-200% improvement from the GeForce RTX 2080 to the new Ampere-based GeForce RTX 3080.

I mean check these benchmarks out, they're kinda crazy and it makes me want the card even more.

It seems AMD is coming out a little early to now begin its Big Navi marketing campaign, hot on the heels of the massive success NVIDIA had launching its new Ampere-based GeForrce RTX 30 series graphics cards a few days ago.

AMD has worked with MAKAMAKES, a Fortnite Creatie Island modder in order to create the massive custom AMD Battle Arena in Fortnite's Creative mode. Inside, there are different game mods and maps with one of the maps having an Easter Egg for Big Navi's numbering scheme -- 6000.

We've heard about the Radeon RX 6000 series before, with a tease of Big Navi inside of the Radeon RX 6900 XT costing $999 back in June 2020. New reports suggest that the price of Big Navi will be pulled down and more into the $499 and $549 slots, but you can read more on that here -- that news just happened, too.

Ooooh, a huge juicy rumor -- and it makes perfect sense.

According to @coreteks on Twitter, "They (AMD) want to release the 16GB at $599 and the 8GB at $499 but after the Ampere announcement I'm expecting $549 for the 16GB and $499 for the 8GB. We're receiving the ASIC (GPU+MEM) this month (September)".

So, NVIDIA's surprise jebaited price of $499 for the new Ampere-based GeForce RTX 3070 and $699 for the even-better GeForce RTX 3080 -- has really affected AMD. I'm sure they didn't expect the pricing to be so damn unlike the RTX 20 series, that AMD could be shaking at their knees a little bit.

EK Water Blocks has just unveiled their new water blocks that are ready for NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 3090 and GeForce RTX 3080 reference designs -- which is a big point in itself.

NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 30 series Founders Edition graphics cards are not "reference cards" in the term that they usd to be, as with the GeForce RTX 10 series launch... Founders Edition cards were a very big change. Gone are the days of reviewers like myself getting reference cards, as the new Founders Edition are not "reference" cards at all -- they're custom cards.
