NVIDIA has finally taken the covers off of its insane new GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card, as well as the kick ass new GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 cards -- but how big are they up against the new consoles?

Shen Lee shared some images on Twitter that compare NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 3090 and GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition graphics cards up against the Xbox One X, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and even the older-gen PlayStation 2.

NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 3090 is 313mm (12.3 inches) long, while being 128mm (5.4 inches) wide -- up against that chunky Xbox Series X that measures in at 301mm (11.8 inches) long and 151mm (5.9 inches) wide. The PlayStation 5 is massively tall in comparison, 398mm (15.7 inches) long while being 223mm (8.8 inches) wide.

NVIDIA addressed some concerns over whether the new 8K 60FPS capable GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card would have any issues in a PCIe 3.0 slot, given the card is PCIe 4.0 compatible.

The answer is no -- you will be fine, senior vice president of content and technology at NVIDIA, Tony Tamasi, explains on Reddit: "System performance is impacted by many factors and the impact varies between applications".

He continued: "The impact is typically less than a few percent going from a x16 PCIE 4.0 to x16 PCIE 3.0. CPU selection often has a larger impact on performance.We look forward to new platforms that can fully take advantage of Gen4 capabilities for potential performance increases".

NVIDIA has some seriously powerful graphics cards with its new Ampere-powered GeForce RTX 30 series, with the GeForce RTX 3080 priced at $699 -- it can handle DOOM Eternal at 4K 120FPS easily. Check that out:

Better yet, NVIDIA did a nice side-by-side comparison that shows the previous Turing-based flagship GeForce RTX 2080 Ti up against the new AMpere-based GeForce RTX 3080. The new RTX 3080 is 50% faster... and it's also 50% cheaper... which is kinda insane.

NVIDIA originally launched the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti at $1199... and right up until the GeForce RTX 30 series reveal was one of the best graphics cards you could buy -- second only to the TITAN RTX for $2499. But now the GeForce RTX 3080 is here and beats both -- for $699.

If you were worried that slick new 12-pin PCIe power connector on NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 3090 and GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition graphics card required a new PSU -- fear not.

A new diagram from NVIDIA shows you that you do not need a new PSU, as the new GeForce RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 Founders Edition graphics cards will include a 12-pin to dual 8-pin PCIe adapter in the box. You will not need a new PSU though.

Warning: do not attempt to use a single 8-pin PCIe power connector into the dual 8-pin to 12-pin adapter, you will require both of them connected in order to power the card up.

Lenovo doesn't seem to be in too much trouble over the leaking of the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics card yesterday, but now they're doing it again: the GeForce RTX 3070 SUPER with 8GB GDDR6.

The purported GeForce RTX 3070 has 8GB of GDDR6, which is a huge drop from the 16GB of GDDR6 on the purported GeForce RTX 3070 Ti -- and the same as the regular RTX 3070. The new card was spotted in the upcoming Lenovo Legion T5 desktop PC.

I would take this with a grain of salt as I'm sure NVIDIA hasn't been providing the exact nomenclature of its graphics cards until closer to the last minute -- so maybe this is some guess work by Lenovo, and made its way online.

I have had just over 5 hours sleep in way over 48 hours now, trying to cover NVIDIA's launch of the new GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards as much as I could.

But there is one story I wanted to sit down and make sure I wrote, and that was from an industry source who told me that post-launch there will be "no stock will be available till the end of the year". The first wave of cards is said to be small, very, very small -- possibly the smallest launch in many years.

Another source had something much more damning to say, but I want to flesh that out before I write it. For now, I'm being told stock will be extremely low for the next couple of months. Why? Samsung 8nm yields are unknown at this point, NVIDIA might not want to make too many before the yields improve.

COLORFUL has just unveiled its new GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards, with a revamped Vulcan series with the best-ever LCD on a graphics card yet.

The flagship GeForce RTX 30 series Vulcan model features an upgraded LCD3.0 display, which is a large 480 mm x 120 mm display that can be flipped 90 degrees if your COLORFUL GeForce RTX 30 series Vulcan graphics card is mounted vertically in your case.

It's a large triple-slot beast, but we should expect some stellar thermal performance on the RTX 30 series Vulcan cards from COLORFUL. On top of this, the company provides a toolbox in the package, which will include a screwdriver, VGA holder, and a microfiber cloth to keep your LCD display clean.

Lenovo must be in some deep doo-doo right now, leaking out NVIDIA's unannounced GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics card which has 16GB of GDDR6 memory.

VideoCardz reports that it remains "unclear" whether this model is really the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, or whether it is the GeForce RTX 3070 SUPER -- with the site hearing "both names in private conversations with AIBs". I can back that up -- I've been trying to find out more information as well, and AIBs are confused as all heck.

Lenovo's new Legion T7 gaming system will be coming with a new Intel Core i7-10700K processor, as well as an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics card which has 16GB of GDDR6 memory. This is an interesting addition to the stack, so let's refresh:

In among all of the hoopla surround the launch of the Ampere-based GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards, there was the introduction of RTX IO.

What the hell is NVIDIA RTX IO?!

NVIDIA is utilizing the new Ampere GPU architecture inside of its GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards to introduce RTX IO, which is a "suite of technologies that enable rapid GPU-based loading and game asset decompression, accelerating I/O performance by up to 100x compared to hard drives and traditional storage APIs".

NVIDIA has revealed its initial trio of Ampere-based GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards, with the ferocious GeForce RTX 3090 at $1499 -- the new flagship GeForce RTX 3080 for $599, and then there's the new gaming king GeForce RTX 3070 for $499.

The new GeForce RTX 3070 offers performance that beats the RTX 2080 Ti, which is a card that debuted for $1199 -- but the new Ampere-powered RTX 3070 is priced at just $499... which is ridiculous. We have 5888 CUDA cores, with 2x the FP32 throughput of the Turing GPU in the now previous-gen RTX 20 series cards.

NVIDIA is using the more cut down GA104 GPU for the GeForce RTX 3070, made on Samsung's new 8nm node. We have 8GB of GDDR6 memory, dropping the 'X' from the faster GeForce RTX 3080 and ridiculous RTX 3090. NVIDIA kicked the GDDR6 down to 16Gbps, with 512GB/sec of bandwidth.

NVIDIA has finally unveiled its new Ampere-based GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards, with the introduction of the 'big, ferocious GPU' in the GeForce RTX 3090 -- 'the new flagship' in the GeForce RTX 3080 and the 'sweet spot' with the RTX 3070.

The new GeForce RTX 3080 will start from $699 and will offer 2x the performance than the original GeForce RTX 2080 with 8704 CUDA cores and has been "designed for 4K gaming" where the RTX 3080 will "consistently delivers more than 60 fps at 4K resolution".

NVIDIA notes the new GeForce RTX 3080 is made on a "custom 8N manufacturing process", packing a huge 28 billion transistors and 10GB of GDDR6X from Micron. The 10GB of GDDR6X is on a 320-bit memory bus at 19Gbps with memory bandwidth hitting 760GB/sec. We have a 320W TDP on the RTX 3080, too.

During the recent NVIDIA livestream where the Ampere GeForce RTX 3090, RTX 3080, RTX 3070 graphics cards were unveiled, NVIDIA CEO and founder Jensen Huang gushed over the ballistic GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card.

Rightfully so, as he heralded it as the world's first 8K 60FPS gaming GPU -- packing the GA102 GPU on Samsung's 8nm node with 10496 CUDA cores in total. There's a huge 24GB of GDDR6X memory, the same framebuffer amount offered on the TITAN RTX which costs $2499.

NVIDIA has just unveiled its new flagship GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card, with company founder and CEO Jensen Huang literally pulling the RTX 3090 from the oven during the Ampere GeForce unveiling.

The quick skinny on NVIDIA's next-gen Ampere-based GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card is the crown jewel of Ampere, rocking the GA102 GPU on Samsung's 8nm node with 10496 CUDA cores in total. This is a huge increase over the 4352 CUDA cores inside of the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, which gives the new GeForce RTX 3090 some serious muscle to flex.

Not just that, but we have a gigantic 24GB of ultra-fast GDDR6X memory, a huge upgrade from the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and its 11GB of GDDR6. NVIDIA's previous-gen TITAN RTX had 24GB of GDDR6 memory, and debuted -- and is priced right now (I'm sure this will change once the news goes live) at $2499.

We are just over 21 minutes away from NVIDIA's huge GeForce RTX 30 series launch event, when this insane custom ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3090 appeared:

VideoCardz tweeted it out of nowhere, asking "What in the name of Lord Gaben is this" and they're right -- what in the hell is it. It's obviously a fake because there's no way ZOTAC is putting something on the market with exposed cables on the outside like this.

But man-oh-man, I actually really like the design. ZOTAC, you should totally make a card like this and release it as the ultimate GeForce RTX 3090 in your stack.

Inno3D has had its new GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards unveiled by VideoCardz, with some new renders hitting their website just now.

The site notes that Inno3D is preparing 4 series of GeForce RTX 30 serise graphics cards, with 6 graphics cards in total. Inno3D's flagship model is the GeForce RTX 3090 iChill X4 graphics card, which rocks a custom quad-fan cooler (3 on the front, 1 on the back).

We don't have detailed specs just yet, but we should expect some high GPU clocks and 19.5Gbps on the 24GB of GDDR6X memory.

ASUS has just made its next-gen GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards official, a full two hours ahead of the Ultimate Countdown of NVIDIA's next-gen cards.

The company is introducing new versions of its ROG Strix, TUF Gaming, and Dual brands of graphics cards powered by NVIDIA's new Ampere GPU architecture. We have some seriously impressive stuff going on under the hood, so let's take a quick look at what we have here.

ASUS teases: "The new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series GPUs, the 2nd generation of RTX, features new RT Cores, Tensor Cores and streaming multiprocessors, bringing stunning visuals, amazingly fast frame rates, and AI acceleration to games and creative applications".

We are around T-minus 4 hours and 20 minutes from the Ultimate Countdown reveal, for NVIDIA's next-gen GeForce RTX 3000 series graphics cards. You can find out where, how, and when to tune into that here.

But now we have a glorious new leak from Chiphell which shows off the bare naked PCB (and not our first Ampere nude) of a GeForce RTX 3090 Founders Edition -- with the unique V-shaped board design. The board is actually quite small, which I'm sure we're going to hear about why it is much smaller in 4 hours time -- with the 12-pin PCIe power connector also seeing the board size being reduced (the 12-pin connector, is something I revealed would be exclusive to the Founders Edition boards).

NVIDIA has 12 GDDR6X chips on each of this board, where you can even see one has been placed right on top of the PCIe 4.0 slot. The dual-sided memory enables a bonkers 24GB of GDDR6X memory in total, with the GA102 GPU directly in the center.

An interesting new custom-designed GPU is being made by Apple right now, with the new custom GPU to power Apple's first ARM-based iMac in 2021.

But according to a new report, we now know about codename "Lifuka" which is Apple's in-house GPU that will be made by TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) on its new 5nm node. The China Times reports, however, that Apple's new chip will be faster, and more power efficient than the Intel chip it replaces.

The China Times writes: "In the past, Apple introduced Mac personal computers with Intel CPUs, equipped with NVIDIA or AMD GPUs, but industry insiders pointed out that Apple has cancelled support for AMD GPUs in the macOS Arm 64-bit operating system, indicating that Apple will be adopted in the future".

We have been enjoying copious amounts of leaks on custom GeForce RTX 3000 series graphics cards, from ASUS, ZOTAC, and GAINWARD so far.

First we had the leaks, but then there was the confirmation -- when GAINWARD unleashes its websites for the custom GeForce RTX 3090 and GeForce RTX 3080 Phoenix graphics cards.

GAINWARD will have the GeForce RTX 3090 Phoenix, which is joined by a higher-clocked "Golden Sample" (GS) model. The same applies for the GeForce RTX 3080 Phoenix, which also is joined by a GS variant that has slightly higher GA102 GPU clocks.

The websites have all been pulled, but not before the fine folks at VideoCardz were able to grab them.
