Another GPU competitor has just entered the chat, with Chinese company Tianshu Zhixin announcing its new compute accelerator a couple of months ago -- and now we have some more firm details on the Big Island GPU.

Tianshu Zhixin's new Big Island GPU is made on TSMC's 7nm process, packs over 24 billion transistors, and 37 TFLOPs of single-precision compute power. The new compute accelerator is using the latest PCIe 4.0 standard, packs 32GB of super-fast HBM2 memory (unknown memory bandwidth at the moment) and uses 300W of power.

The new Big Island GPU will be offered by Tianshu Zhixin in both the normal dual-slot PCIe 4.0 x16 standard with passive cooling, as well as the normal mezzanine board form factor. The company hasn't shared the double-precision compute performance, but once we have those numbers we'll let you know how Tianshu Zhixin's new GPGPU performs in FP32.

NVIDIA is definitely working on a next-gen GeForce RTX 40 series geaphics card, but this April Fools Day prank is actually a damn good one -- and an engineering and design feat. Check it out:

YouTuber Captains Workspace made up a mock GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card that he jokes has 4 x GPUs with 18,000 CUDA cores -- 232 RT cores, 2169MHz GPU boost clock, 48GB of next-gen GDDR7 memory, and 1kW of power consumption. What a beast... something that could run Crysis, Cyberpunk 2077, and Flight Simulator -- probably all at the same time, too.

The beast is absolutely huge -- I kinda wish a monster GPU like this would come out from NVIDIA. I know it never would, but I'd love to have something this ridiculous in my rig.

We've been hearing whispers of the GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU series for a while now, but now Notebookcheck has an exclusive on the new mobile Ampere GPUs from NVIDIA.

NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU will use the GA107 GPU with 2560 CUDA cores, while the GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU (non-Ti) uses the same GA107 GPU it knocks the CUDA core down to 2048. NVIDIA has 4 different GPU boost clocks for each GPU, ranging between 35W and 80W.

Both the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti and GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPUs feature 4GB of GDDR6 memory on a 128-bit memory bus with 5.5Gbps of bandwidth. We should see 1080p mobile gaming beasts with the new GeForce RTX 3050 Ti and GeForce RTX 3050 gaming laptops we'll (hopefully) see in the near future.

It looks like Yeston is about to release another card that'll be impossible to buy: a new custom card inspired by anime series 六道兵甲, which translates into something like Six Soldiers or Six Weapons reports VideoCardz. Check the card out:

The new Yeston Radeon RX 6700 XT Six Weapons rocks a totally reference design from AMD, so we have no factory overclock and no power requirement changes. We have a game GPU clock of 2424MHz and boost GPU clock of up to 2581MHz with what I'm sure will be a good amount of wiggle room for some manual overclocking on the Yeston Radeon RX 6700 XT Six Weapons graphics card.

Yeston is using a triple-fan and 2.5-slot design for its Radeon RX 6700 XT Six Weapons graphics card, with an interesting black/grey/silver style with translucent purple fans. There is a full-length RGB lighting strip atop the card, which can be seen near the 6 + 8-pin PCIe power connectors on the top of the card.

NVIDIA has been putting crypto mining rig owners through the ringer when it comes to GPU mining on their GeForce RTX 3060, which had ETH mining gimps on it -- then removed with drivers -- and now 7 x GeForce RTX 3060s have been used in a crypto mining rig without an issue.

Even with NVIDIA removing the ETH mining gimp from the GeForce RTX 3060 with its new drivers, this wasn't a one-fix solution... rather crypto miners had to do some work. For single-GPU mining solutions with the GeForce RTX 3060 you could ETH mine your life away without a problem, but with multiple cards in the system then the problems mounted.

Crypto miners discovered the ETH mining gimp can be avoided with multiple GeForce RTX 3060 graphics cards when you use dummy HDMI plugs in the back of the remaining RTX 3060 cards. This tricked the GPU drivers into thinking they were sending a display signal to a monitor, which then was a good enough trick to fool the GPU into mining at full speed -- with 7 x GeForce RTX 3060s installed into a single system.

NVIDIA has discovered over 1 million GeForce RTX 3080 graphics cards inside of thousands of boxes, which were re-discovered when the Evergreen got stuck in the Suez Canal.

The company confirmed it had multiple AIB partners with cards on the Evergreen, which it chose as its shipping partner because NVIDIA is also Team Green. Keeping things in the Green Family didn't seem to help as they lost 1 million GeForce RTX 3080 graphics cards in the process, but now they're found the company is selling them for 75% off.

This means you can get yourself a GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card -- something that is impossible to buy right now, for just a couple of hundred dollars. GeForce RTX 3080 graphics cards are selling for far higher than $1000 right now, with the 75% knocking them down to just $200-$300 for today only.

NVIDIA's new Game Ready GeForce 456.89 WHQL drivers (and all future GeForce driver releases) add support for Resizable BAR on GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards.

You will need to have the right AMD or Intel CPU and required motherboard, a GeForce RTX 30 series graphics card, and the graphics card firmware to be updated -- and new GeForce Game Ready 465.89 WHQL drivers in order to get Resizable BAR working. It's not easy, but there's some nice free performance of somewhere around 6-12% at 1440p on the GeForce RTX 3080.

NVIDIA has added support for 17 games that now have Resizable BAR support, with new games being added with new driver releases in the future. For now here's the list of games with Resizable BAR support:

It looks like ASRock is getting ready to unleash a new high-end custom Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card, with the new ASRock Radeon RX 6900 XT OC Formula being teased and should be detailed very soon.

The new ASRock Radeon RX 6900 XT OC Formula rocks a triple-fan cooler, triple-slot design, a behemoth-sized heat sink, and triple 8-pin PCIe power connectors. We should expect the ASRock Radeon RX 6900 XT OC Formula graphics card to be the flagship custom Radeon RX 6900 XT once it is unveiled and released.

There's not much else known on the card, but VideoCardz expects more details on the ASRock Radeon RX 6900 XT OC Formula later on today so we'll update when we can. The only things we can see here apart from the cooler and PCIe power connectors is the styling -- with a black and green design with an interestingly styled cooler. I definitely want to see what the backplate is like on the ASRock Radeon RX 6900 XT OC Formula, too.

NVIDIA is preparing its new GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card with 12GB of GDDR6X memory, with AIB partners preparing their various custom models including GIGABYTE which has 12 x GeForce RTX 3080 Ti cards being prepped for gamers (and crypto miners).

GIGABYTE has submitted 12 x GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics cards to the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) that rock 12GB of GDDR6X memory. These cards range from the flagship GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3080 Ti AORUS XTREME WATERFORCE graphics card through to the entry-level GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3080 Ti TURBO graphics card.

There's everything in between as well, with GIGABYTE having the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti in AORUS XTREME, AORUS MASTER, GAMING, VISION, EAGLE, and TURBO variants of the RTX 3080 Ti. There's also a CMP 30HX model that GIGABYTE is working on, which is the new crypto mining GPU series from NVIDIA.

NVIDIA is expected to unveil its new GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics card in the coming weeks, which will be based on the GA104-400 GPU and reportedly come in two versions: 8GB and 16GB GDDR6X models.

The new GeForce RTX 3070 Ti will not be replacing the non-Ti version of the card, so the normal GeForce RTX 3070 will continue to be sold once the new RTX 3070 Ti is released. VideoCardz does point out that they believe NVIDIA will focus on the new GeForce RTX 3070 Ti moving forward, leaving the original RTX 3070 to kind of fade away.

NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 3070 Ti will reportedly be "more competitive" to AMD's new Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card, with VideoCardz noting that NVIDIA will be introducing a crypto mining hashrate limit -- why, I don't know especially when they "accidentally" removed the hashrate limiter from the GeForce RTX 3060.

CD PROJEKT RED is pushing out a rather gigantic patch for Cyberpunk 2077, with the new Patch 1.2 bringing ray tracing support for AMD Radeon GPUs.

In the patch notes for the new Cyberpunk 2077 update, CD PROJEKT RED explains that the first PC-specific thing in the new update is "Enabled Ray Tracing on AMD graphics cards. Latest GPU drivers are required". So we should expect some new AMD Radeon drivers in the near future that will enable ray tracing for specific RDNA-powered GPUs.

I did notice the missing HUD elements when running Cyberpunk 2077 in native 8K resolution at 7680 x 4320, with the new Patch 1.2 fixing that. There's also an issue fixed with perks in certain areas of the submenus weren't displaying descriptions on both 4K and 5K UltraWide resolutions.

EMTEK already has a couple of interesting GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards with a Call of Duty themed RTX 3070 and RTX 3080 -- but now we have the GeForce RTX 3060 MIRACLE which was inspired by bees and honeycombs. Check it out:

Looks unique, and if put into the right gaming PC it would actually look great -- I love how it is definitely something I've never seen before, I can safely say that. Inside, the EMTEK GeForce RTX 3060 MIRACLE uses the NVIDIA reference GPU specs of 1320MHz base GPU clock and 1770MHz boost GPU clock and a TDP of 170W.

We have a single 8-pin PCIe power connector, the GA106 GPU with 3584 CUDA cores, and 12GB of GDDR6 memory to top it all off. There's only a single photo of the card in existence, but with that unique front cooler and honeycomb-inspired design I'd love to see if the back of the EMTEK GeForce RTX 3060 MIRACLE looks any different or if the backplate is very plain.

The latest version of AIDA64 has support for some unannounced and unreleased graphics cards from both AMD and NVIDIA, with the Radeon RX 6600 series and GeForce RTX 3050 series GPUs.

AIDA64 6.32.5659 Beta also supports AMD's new Radeon RX 6700 non-XT, and the new Radeon RX 6600 series which will come in both the Radeon RX 6600 and Radeon RX 6600 XT variants. The developer of AIDA64 also notes that AMD will use the Navi 23 GPU exclusively on the new Radeon RX 6600 series graphics cards.

You can see in the change log image above that AIDA64 now supports the Navi 23-based Radeon RX 6600 and Radeon RX 6600 XT models, as well as the just-released Navi 22-based Radeon RX 6700 XT and the upcoming non-XT model that is also powered by Navi 22 with the Radeon RX 6700.

ASUS has unveiled its latest custom GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card with the introduction of the new GeForce RTX 3060 Phoenix -- with its interesting, and super-small single-fan design.

The new ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 Phoenix graphics card is wider and taller than the ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 DUAL with measurements on the Phoenix coming in at 20 x 12.3 x 3.8 cm while the DUAL measures in at 17.7 x 12.8 x 5.1 cm. ASUS has revealed the non-OC version with the model PH-RTX3060-12G rocking a reference GPU boost clock of 1777MHz.

ASUS does however list an OC model that can be pushed through its own GPU Tweak software, up to 1807MHz or so -- identical to the DUAL series card. The PCB layout seems to be identical between the ASUS Phoenix and ASUS DUAL custom GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card offerings with the same backplate used as well -- we have a single 8-pin PCIe power connector to power the card, too.

I don't even know what to say, but there's now a Big Mac graphics card -- and I kinda want it.

Chinese company MaxSun has unveiled their new GeForce RTX 3060 Big Mac graphics card, which has nothing to do with McDonalds and is just a weirdly-named graphics card from a Chinese company that will probably never be seen outside of China or the Asia-Pacific markets.

MaxSun's new GeForce RTX 3060 Big Mac is a cheap custom GeForce RTX 3060 that is teeny-tiny, with the card using the reference PG190A board from NVIDIA and a semi-custom design when it comes to the cooler used. It's a smaller dual-slot card with the same GA106 GPU and 3584 CUDA cores and 12GB of GDDR6 memory that the other GeForce RTX 3060 graphics cards have.

Sorry folks, MSI graphics cards are about to get more expensive -- and it'll be like that for most of 2021 and even into 2022 unfortunately -- and eventually (probably very soon) it'll be all of the other AIB partners making similar comments.

DigiTimes is reporting that MSI chairman Joseph Hsu said during an investors conference on March 23 that the demand for motherboards, graphics cards and gaming notebooks are "likely to stay robust for the rest of 2021 and each product line's shipments in 2021, after registering on-year increase between 30-50% in 2020, are expected to see double-digit growths again".

This isn't too much of a surprise given that we all know there are major GPU shortages worldwide, with even second hand prices getting out of control. It was only yesterday that I wrote that the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti was launching in May and not April, and that GPU yields were very low. NVIDIA and AMD are shipping very low amounts of GPUs to AIB partners like MSI, that are now feeling that pinch -- and so will consumers with MSI and other AIBs increasing their baseline prices.

Intel gave the world a big tease of its huge Ponte Vecchio GPU -- the new Xe-HPC in all its glory packing 47 tiles and over 100 billion transistors.

The company has been at work for over two years to get the first working silison of Intel's exciting new multi-tile design, with a over a petaflop of compute power at its deposal. Intel has now confirmed that Xe-HPC "Ponte Vecchio" GPU has 47 tiles and over 100 billion transistors and will be in a new supercomputer later this year.

Intel will have its next-gen Ponte Vecchio GPU inside of the new Aurora supercomputer that's being built for the Argonne National Laboratory, and expected to be turned on by the end of 2021.

NVIDIA has a couple of new Ampere-based workstation cards coming, with some new information from Khronos Group -- a non-profit group that creates royalty-free interoperability standards for 3D graphics.

The group teased NVIDIA's new RTX A5000 and RTX A4000 workstation cards just received OpenCL 1.2 certification, and should be the cards that get revealed -- with NVIDIA removing the Quadro RTX branding from its GA102-based RTX A6000 workstation GPU. We should see the NVIDIA RTX A5000 and RTX A4000.

The NVIDIA RTX A5000 should feature the GA104 GPU, while the NVIDIA RTX A4000 should use the GA106, with varying VRAM amounts between the cards. NVIDIA loaded up the RTX A6000 with 48GB of GDDR6 memory, so the RTX A5000 could have 16-32GB of GDDR6, while the RTX A4000 could pack 12-16GB GDDR6 memory.

If you were marking on your calendar for when you couldn't buy the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti in April 2021 because there's probably going to be 100 available worldwide -- well, strike that out -- the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is reportedly coming in May instead.

According to sources of ITHome: "NVIDIA internally issued a new announcement that the release time of the next-generation RTX30 series model. The RTX 3080Ti 12G has been delayed again, and it is now expected to be released around mid-May".

But then in the last 48 hours or so I've heard from my sources that GPU yields on the new RTX 3080 Ti are very low, with some supply chain issues causing more problems for NVIDIA and its new GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 30 series SUPER releases. NVIDIA had originally planned its GeForce RTX 3080 Ti for late last year, with December 2020 being the plan -- but low GPU yields and ABF substrate shortages are causing major headaches not only for NVIDIA but AMD.

PowerColor leaks are thick and heavy for Big Navi, with a new leak on the Radeon RX 6700 -- the non-XT model -- that will reportedly pack 6GB. At least the teased PowerColor Radeon RX 6700 Fighter graphics card will, as you can check it out below:

TechPowerUp is reporting that PowerColor accidentally sent over press materials on the Radeon RX 6700 Fighter graphics card before they were meant to and now we get to enjoy this leak. The new PowerColor Radeon RX 6700 Fighter graphics card is an entry-level graphics card that the company sells with it packing a cut-down Navi 22 GPU and 6GB of GDDR6.

The higher-end Radeon RX 6700 XT rolls out with 12GB of GDDR6 memory, with previous leaks on the Radeon RX 6700 teasing 12GB of RAM. So it'll be interesting to see where we go from here and whether AMD could release two variants of the Radeon RX 6700: one with 6GB of GDDR6 and another with 12GB of GDDR6 memory.
