Cooler Master's new V8 3DVC air cooler, G11 AIO cool 300W of CPU heat with AIO cooler using AI
Cooler Master has just taken the wraps off of a couple of next-gen CPU coolers with the introduction of the new G11 AIO and V8 3DVC, both capable of keeping high-end CPUs cool with up to 300W.
The new Cooler Master V8 3DVC joins previous-gen V8 coolers with a redesign and incorporation of a 3D Vaper Chamber and advanced super-conductive heat pipes in a single unit. The use of a 3D Vapor Chamber is designed by Cooler Master in a way that the heat gets evenly distributed throughout the heatsink acrosstheh composite heat pipes.
Cooler Master houses the CPU heatsink inside of a stylish shroud, with a slick black and silver design, with dual 120mm Mobius fans keeping that behemoth 300W of heat at bay. If you're using a high-end Core i9 process from Intel, handling 300W of heat isn't something that would go astray. There's a big market for high-quality air coolers versus using a larger, bulkier, system-consuming all-in-one (AIO) cooler.
World's first 40-inch 5K monitor certified for five-star eye comfort unveiled at CES 2024
Dell kicked off CES 2024 early by announcing the world's first 40-inch 5K monitor certified for five-star eye comfort, along with another ultrawide. Both of which are on display at CES 2024.
The first monitor to dive into is the 40-inch UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor, or the U4025QW. This monitor Dell writes is a world's first with its specifications, coming with IPS Black Panel technology for improved color contrast, a 5120 x 2160 resolution, 99% of the DCI-P3 color space, five-star TUV Rheinland Eye Comfort certification, Thunderbolt 4 connection with up to 140W power delivery, a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, in-built color adjustment software, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The other ultrawide Dell announced is the U3425WE, a 34-inch IPS Black panel with a 3440 x 1440 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This display has a 10-bit color depth, which enables it to cover 100% of the sRGB and 99% of the DCI-P3 gamuts. Additionally, the U3425WE features a Thunderbolt 4 port with 90W power delivery, TUV Rheinland Eye Comfort certification, iMST, which allows for the display to be split into two displays from one PC source, Network KVM, and a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port.
Behind the scenes with Patriot at CES 2024 in Las Vegas as we join them for their suite setup
CES 2024 - It was 3:00 AM in Ohio when I woke up to make my flight to LA, then take another hop to Las Vegas, finally getting to the Patriot suite at 3:30 PM Vegas time. In a funk from all the travel and time zone change, we sat for a bit resting our legs and backs, when a knock at the door interrupted our short rest. It was Fed Ex with two pallets worth of gear in boxes, for us to unpack and situate around the suite so everything looks clean and perfect for the duration of CES. Sadly, we rushed to help the Fed Ex guys get the carts unloaded, and in a fog from traveling, we forgot to get the images at that time. However, we returned the next day to continue helping set up, and ensure Patriot was well situated for the event.
After a ton of unboxing, and what many will never see, is what is left of Shannon Robb's sleeping accommodations. Tons of boxes, at least empty, or partially empty at this time, packed away by the bed, out of the way of prying eyes for the rest of the show.
The other side of his room is no better. Between the boxes for banners, product packaging, suitcases, and spare parts from the main suite, he is left with a thin path to make his way around the bed at this point. Although, there are still great views of the mountains from this room.
NVIDIA RTX 5880 ADA workstation GPU launched with 48GB VRAM
NVIDIA has just announced its latest workstation GPU, with the introduction of the new RTX 5880 ADA for professional desktop GPU users, excelling in 3D modeling, rendering, data visualization, and video streaming.
The new NVIDIA RTX 5880 ADA workstation GPU is a release that acts as a response to recent US export restrictions, because the RTX 6000 ADA workstation GPU is banned from China and other countries. The new RTX 5880 ADA acts as a response in terms of using a cut-down Ada Lovelace GPU and reduced specifications to get it into China.
NVIDIA's latest RTX 5880 ADA workstation card uses a cut-down AD102 GPU with 14080 CUDA cores, which is 22% less than the CUDA cores found inside the RTX 6000 ADA. The Tensor Cores are less here as well, down to 440 from 658 on RTX 6000 ADA. NVIDIA squeezes 69.3 TFLOPS of single-precision compute performance out of the RTX 5880 ADA, which is 24% slower than the RTX 6000 ADA.

SENSHOMI Tech T-shirts: Embark on 2024 Tech-Fashion Journey into the Future with SENSHOMI
SENSHOMI is a newly established brand. From my communication with founder Jacob, I learned that they spent nearly a year polishing the product and only launched it on Amazon and TikTok at the end of this year.
Jacob believes that men are inherently rational, and the choice of clothing should be like choosing a computer. We need to start with the specs. What specs should we pay attention to for a good laptop, and what specs should we pay attention to for a high-quality T-shirt? In addition, a good technological product should have a special function. For these reasons, SENSHOMI was born. Let's take a look at the next two t-shirts in the TechTee Pro series launched by SENSHOMI.
TechTee Pro E is a polymer nano-material dip-dyed on 100% cotton fabric. It uses the hydrophobic principle of lotus leaves. When liquid stains slip onto clothes, they will be aggregated into small water droplets to prevent the leaked water from staining the clothes. Forming stains, it has the effect of protecting liquid stains and can keep the T-shirt in a very clean state. At the same time, because it is a dip-dyed fabric, the clothing still has good softness and breathability.

Intel Core i5-14490F 'Black Edition' CPU: 10 cores at up to 5.1GHz with 65W TDP
Intel is cooking up a new Core i5-14490F processor, a new entry into the 14th Gen Core non-K desktop processor series, with a 65W TDP for Chinese gamers. Check it out:
The new Intel Core i5-14490F processor features 10 cores and 16 threads, which is split into 6 P-Cores and 4 E-Cores, which uses different silicon compared to the Core i5-14400 processor, silicon that's most likely sourced from higher-end SKUs.
It's being speculated that the new Intel Core i5-14400F processor uses either C0 and B0 dies, while the Core i5-14490F processor probably uses the B0 die. The B0 die uses the complete implementation of the Raptor Lake Refresh with its 8 P-Cores and 16 E-Cores, so Intel is cutting this down with the Core i5-14490F processor but with a larger memory cache.

Sony to ship 18.5 million PS5s next fiscal year, will push PS5 total to 81.9 million
The total installed base for Sony's PlayStation 5 console could break 80 million+ by March 2025, analysts have predicted.
Sony Interactive Entertainment expects to ship 25 million PlayStation 5 consoles throughout Fiscal Year 2023, which is the current period that ends on March 31, 2024. This target is the largest and most ambitious hardware shipment in PlayStation history, and results from the first half of the year (Q1-Q2 FY23) show that Sony is still 16 million consoles away from this goal.
This might not be the only big shipment fusillade that Sony is planning. According to a Games Industry.biz article, Japanese analyst firm Toyo Securities believes that Sony will ship 18.5 million PlayStation 5 consoles in the next Fiscal Year 2024 timeline.

Riot Games drops mysterious Arcane Season 2 trailer reigniting a big fan theory
Riot Games has revealed its first official teaser trailer for the second season of its wildly popular animated series, Arcane, which is based on the online game League of Legends. The teaser is short and sweet, and has resparked a major fan theory from Season 1.
Only 44 seconds long, the trailer features a character called Singed, also known as the Doctor, giving what appears to be a blood transfusion. He checks a pocket watch and then tilts his head, and the camera pans up to reveal an enormous beast hanging from the ceiling above as it fades to black. While the trailer didn't even crack a minute in length, it's sure to spread hype after seemingly confirming fans' most persistent theory.
The theory in question was that Vander, a popular character from Season 1 who sadly met his end, is Warwick, a well-known monster from League of Legends who was "transformed by agonizing experiments." Fans of Season 1 were quick to draw similarities between Vander's storyline and that of Warwick's lore, making connections between the two.
Apple is now sending $92 payouts to people affected by iPhone battery throttling
Apple has begun sending out payments to iPhone users affected by the notorious "batterygate" throttling controversy, where the company was accused of consumer fraud for silently and deliberately slowing down the performance of iPhone's in conjunction to aging battery within the iPhone's.
The payouts, which around $92.17 for each claim have begun being sent out to iPhone users that filed a claim. Apple is rolling out these payments to users as part of its $500 million settlement that it agreed to in March 2020, and of that $500 million, $310 million is allocated to consumer reparations. Notably, if you didn't file a claim it's unfortunately far too late for you to do so, as the deadline for claims was back in October 6 2020.
Additionally, if you had one of the following iPhone models you were eligible to file a claim; iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, or iPhone SE. Furthermore, depending on how many claims a user has filed, Apple could pay nearly $1,000 per user. Apple users are beginning to share screenshots of their payments to social media. Above is an example provided by Michael Burkhardt.
Cooler Master's Sneaker X Bounce takes its custom PC sneaker mod to the next level
We got a good look at Cooler Master's original Sneaker X PC mod at Computex and PAX Australia 2023 last year, and we're impressed by its unique style. Yes, it looks like a giant sneaker, but with custom-designed and printed components, high-end GeForce RTX graphics, and liquid cooling, it was hard not to be impressed with what Cooler Master pulled off. Even though the company has been making PC cases for decades, its all-in-one PCs sport unique designs.
At CES 2024, it's taking the "PC sneaker" concept to the next level with the new Sneaker X Bounce - a limited edition custom PC that modifies the design to include speakers and a graffiti look "reflecting vibrant street energy." Cooler Master collaborated with graffiti artist Bounce for the new design, and I'm not sure if this takes the concept too far.
It looks overly busy and not as clean as the original Sneaker X design. Still, it's got some very cool features - like removable wireless speakers.
