In a discussion on Last Week Tonight, Edward Snowden told comedian John Oliver about how we can think about the governments surveillance of citizens in a more relatable manner.

It is often discussed that the general population isn't up in arms about breaches of sensitive data as they can't closely relate with exactly whats going on. In an attempt to educate some, Oliver took a new approach as spotted on News.com.au.

Talking to Americans on the street, Oliver showed us that there was quite a number of people who weren't exactly sure who Snowden was - often confusing him for Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. He then asked how people would feel if their naughty 'nudes' were available for the taking.

3D printing is helping push the boundaries of modern surgery, allowing surgeons and other medical practitioners to work on more accurate models before live operations. Violet Pietrok, a two-year-old born with a rare cleft deformity, is undergoing a series of operations in large part because of 3D printing.

Trying to make precision cuts in the skull, which would be extremely close to the optic nerve, has serious consequences - but doctors were able to practice on a 3D model first. The firsthand experience gave them a better idea of sawblade trajectory - and to better understand how they would be able to make the cuts.

"We were actually able to do the procedure before going into the operating room," said Dr. John Meara, plastic surgeon-in-chief at Boston Children's Hospital, in a statement to CBC. "So we made the cuts in the model, made the bony movements that we would be making in Violet's case and we identified some issues that we modified prior to going into the operating room, which saves time and means that you're not making some of these critical decisions in the operating room."

One of the biggest YouTubers, Joe "Angry Joe" Vargas, has said he has stopped covering Nintendo games after the Japanese gaming giant started a dispute with him over his Mario Party 10 video.

Angry Joe's video on Mario Party 10 was flagged by YouTube, which led to him tweeting what you see below. After that, Angry Joe went on a tirade against Nintendo (and rightly so). His Twitter feed is a rage-filled rant against Nintendo and their policies, with most of the gaming community seeming to be behind him.

The bigger reason behidn this is that Nintendo seems to want revenues from videos shared by users - launching their own Creators Program earlier this year. This allowed YouTubers to release videos about Nintendo games, as long as Nintendo was given some of that sweet, sweet revenue. But, not every game is in this program, with Mario Party 10 being one of them.

We've heard rumors of Red Dead Redemption 2 hitting the Xbox One, PS4 and PC, but according to Reddit user 'AnonDN1978' - who claims to be an ex-Rockstar developer - the studio will unveil RDR 2 at E3 2015.

The game will reportedly be called Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West, and will be a prequel to the original game. It will reach the Xbox One, PS4 and surprisingly, the PC - one month after release, so in Rockstar Games time, probably 12-18 months after the consoles get it. The game will supposedly take place in the same area as its predecessor, with three playable characters. Two of them will be from the first RDR title, with the third being a completely new character.

What will Red Dead Redemption 2 offer? You can expect that customization to be a big part of the game, where players can customize their clothes and horse. The third character, which you can name, can have all sorts of different Western themed clothes customized - tops, bottoms, hats, gloves and more.

The Texas A&M University Viz Lab, focused on visualization, wants to find ways to bring virtual reality to mainstream consumers in a number of different ways. It hopes recent graduates of the program will create new solutions so casual consumers can begin enjoying - and embracing - VR on a larger scale.

Specifically, a post-grad from the program has taken VR a step further after founding a startup in San Francisco focused on creating a mobile app that allows for VR movie captures using their devices. The content can then be shared so others are able to use a virtual reality head-mounted display or smartphone.

This court case conviction is the first of its kind and has seen Bollaert handed 18 years in prison (eligible for parole in 10 years) alongside a $10,000 fine for his troubles. According to a source of BuzzFeed News' John Paczkowski, the next-gen Apple TV will stick to 1080p content because 4K technology is "still in its infancy". The new Apple TV should rock an A8 processor which is 4K-capable, it's just that there's a big lack of content in the way. Although Amazon and Netflix have 4K content, there's not that much out there, and then there's the issue of consumers not flocking to 4K TVs in droves just yet.

Not only that, but you need a pretty snappy Internet connection to stream 4K video from YouTube, Amazon or Netflix - so there's that, too.

We're getting much closer to the new release date of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, with CD Projekt Red teasing that there will be over 200 hours of content.

Senior Game Designer on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Damien Monnier, said on Twitter that this 200 hour length came from "everything" - which includes side quests, and everything in between. Comparing this to The Witcher 2, which had around 50 hours of content - inclusive of time playing around - this is a huge increase in content.

Microsoft is set for the biggest operating system launch its ever had with Windows 10 later this year, but what better time to reveal the fourth generation Surface Pro but with your new OS?

According to new reports, Microsoft won't be countering any new iPads until later this year with its Surface Pro 4, according to Venture Capital Post. The report says that there are rumors of a Surface Pro 4 announcement for July, but others are saying that it won't be unveiled until October, alongside Windows 10. This would have the Surface Pro 4 being the first device on the market with Windows 10 preloaded.

The other juicy part of this rumor is that the Surface Pro 4 will reportedly have a 4K screen, matched with an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor, and of course; the stylus pen that the Surface Pro is known for. On top of that, the Intel processor powering the Surface Pro 4 could end up being the Skylake-based CPU, which is scheduled for an August release. We should expect two models: a 12-inch and 14-inch model, with up to 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM.

Lockheed Marting has been developing the F-35 fighter jet for what feels like forever, but it could be the helmet that the F-35 Lighting II pilots will be wearing is the most interesting part of the fighter jet.

The helmet itself costs a huge $400,000, with teh fighter jet itself being one of the "most complicated weapons systems ever developed" reports The Washington Post. The helmet allows the pilot to see through the plane, so that when they look down, instead of seeing the floor of the F-35, they see the ground beneath them. If they turn around, they'll see the sky or the enemy flying behind them.

This is all thanks to the F-35 having six cameras embedded into the skin of the aircraft, so that when the pilot turns their head in a particular direction, they're actually just looking through that camera. The camera captures the imagery, blasting it to the projector inside of the headset. The helmet is pretty much a glorified augmented reality headset, allowing F-35 pilots to see things on the ground that they would not normally see, or would have to fly past and turn back around to get a better view.

ASUS has only just unveiled the super-fast, but also deliciously beautiful GeForce GTX 980 20th Anniversary Edition video card, but now we're being introduced to the GeForce GTX 970 Turbo.

The new ASUS GeForce GTX 970 Turbo features a slick white-and-red color scheme that features a blower-style cooler which blows the hot air through the back of your case. The new GeForce GTX 970 Turbo has a short PCB similar to what is used in the GTX 970 DirectCU II Mini from ASUS, but features a "longer lateral-flow cooling solution", reports TechPowerUp.

ASUS is providing a factory overclock on the card, with a Core Clock of 1088MHz and Boost Clock of 1228MHz. We should expect a single 8-pin PCIe power connector, or two 6-pin PCIe power connectors. We can also expect two dual-link DVI ports, one HDMI 2.0 and one DisplayPort 1.2 connector.

Curved panels are all the rage right now with Samsung staying on top of the market trend by preparing three new curved PC monitors starting at $299, which will be released later this month.

Starting with the largest 31.5-inch model, we have a 1920x1080 resolution (all three have a Full HD resolution), which is disappointing on the 31.5-inch display. The 31.5-inch curved Full HD monitor will include a 3000mm curve radius and $599 price. The smaller 27-inch panel will have a 4000mm curved radius and $399 price while the 24-inch model will rock a $299 price.

All three curved displays will run at the 1920x1080 resolution with a 60Hz refresh rate, but gamers will have to be careful of all three monitors as they have a 4ms response time.

With the marketing campaign for 'Terminator: Genisys' well underway, the film's stars, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jai Courtney and Emilia Clarke appeared on 'Good Morning America' during the week, with Arnie professing his dislike of the last entry in the series - 'Terminator Salvation'.

The only entry in the series to not feature Schwarzenegger in a starring role (no, the nightmare inducing CGI recreation from the film's finale doesn't count), 'Terminator Salvation' was not beloved by fans, and unsurprisingly neither by him. When the interviewer pointed out his absence, Arnie remarked "Thank God... it sucked", to the obvious surprise of his co-stars.

'Terminator Genisys' kicks off a new trilogy of films and hits screens worldwide on July 1st and for the first time in 3D, helmed by 'Thor: The Dark World' director Alan Taylor.

Samsung is already pushing out 14nm technology, using its own Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge smartphones to demonstrate its impressive new fabrication technology. But most don't know that the South Korean electronics giant has partnered with GlobalFoundries, with the latter now spinning up its production of 14nm technology.

Mubadala Development Co. is an Abu Dhabi-based investment and development company that owns GlobalFoundries, with the company releasing a statement in regards to its 14nm production. Mubadala said: "GlobalFoundries announced a strategic collaboration with Samsung to deliver capacity at 14nm, one of the industry's most advanced nodes, as Fab 8 in Malta, New York began ramping production for customers".

Samsung developed both the 14LPE (low-power early) and 14LPP (low-power plus) technologies, licensing them to GlobalFoundries. Both of the manufacturing processes use FinFET transistors, but they still fall back on back-end-of-line (BEOL) interconnects which are fabricated on the 20nm node. Both fabrication technologies don't radically reduce costs of the chips compared to the previous-gen node, but they do provide a nice 20% boost in performance at the same power usage, or reduce power consumption by up to 35% without a performance hit.

It looks like AMD has some interesting things coming in 2016, with the current rumor is that its next-gen APU would arrive as a 16-core processor based on its Zen architecture, as well as a "Greenland" GPU with HBM memory.

The new APU will replace the Godaveri platform which we were introduced to with the Carrizo APU, with the Carizzo-based notebooks arriving in the next couple of months, but most likely at Computex 2015 in June. The new Zen APU would feature quad-channel DDR4 support, up to 16 processor cores based on the Zen architecture, and the HBM-powered Greenland GPU.

We should expect Greenland to be based on the Fiji architecture, which will be powering AMD's upcoming flagship video card: the Radeon R9 390X. We don't know if AMD will be using HBM1 or HBM2 on the Zen APU, but with the R9 390X using HBM1, we should expect AMD to quickly shift to HBM2 sometime in 2016.

With over 150 suppliers shipping 34 million displays over Q4 2014, Dell has maintained its position as the number one PC monitor supplier in the world, according to the latest report from the IDC.

With 34 million displays shipped in Q4 2014 seeing a 4.4% year-over-year decline, but a 1.3% increase on their forecast, the top five monitor manufacturers control a huge 60% of the market. Dell has secured itself 15.2% of the market, while Samsung has 12.7%. HP and Lenovo fall into third and fourth place with 11.8% and 10.9%, respectively. LG is in fifth place with 9.2%, leaving the rest of the market with the remaining 40%.

Dell shipped over 5.1 million displays in Q4 2014 while its closest competitor in Samsung shipped just under 4.3 million units, leaving HP to ship 4 million units, while Lenovo and LG shipped 3.6 million and 3.1 million units, respectively.

Now that the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge are upon us, they are going through some serious tests to see just how well they bend. We went through this with the "bendgate" scandal of the iPhone 6 Plus, but I think people are missing the point here.

Anyway, SquareTrade has tested the latest handsets in the Galaxy S6 edge, iPhone 6 Plus and HTC One M9 in its 'BendBot' rig which puts 110 pounds of pressure onto these handsets. During the testing, the Galaxy S6 edge had its screen crack under the pressure, but the phone continued to work even with up to 149 pounds of pressure on it, in which it then stopped working. The iPhone 6 Plus was able to sustain a huge 179 pounds of pressure before it died.

This type of testing is pretty useless, as no one is going to put 149 pounds of pressure on their brand new Galaxy S6 edge. Also, #bendgate was over the iPhone 6 Plus bending from being in users pockets, not from machinery doing it. The Galaxy S6 edge has not had a single unit that has bent from being in a pocket just yet, so we need to put that "bendgate" word away, okay folks?

The AppleCare+ protection for the Apple Watch Edition will add another year to the two-year technical support you'll receive, and accidental damage cover for up to two incidents. We don't know how much Apple will charge for repairs to Watch under their AppleCare+ plan, but if it's anything like the accidental damage claims with the iPhone, it should be around $79 or so.
