New Warhammer: Chaosbane - Dwarf Slayer ARPG trailer
Bigben Interactive and Eko Software have released a new video for Warhammer: Chaosabane, the Dwarf Slayer - Bragi Axebiter.
A new trailer for Warhammer: Chaosbane has been released showing off the sheer strength and might of the Dwarf Slayer. Dwarf Slayers are dwarves (obviously) that have taken an oath of the Slayer by vowing to cleanse his honour by dying epic and heroically in battle against a enemy of high stature. We are introduced to the Dwarf Slayer Bragi Axebiter who takes us through each of his strengths while in combat.
Players will be able to utilize Axebiters mobility with the angry Dwarf throwing his axe into an enemy and the carnage beginning as soon as the Dwarf starts swinging. Axebiter also has the ability to spin with his axes in hand dealing massive area-of-effect damage to everyone around him. Warhammer: Chaosbane is planned for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on June 4th, 2019. For more information, visit the official Steam page here.

FromSoftware tease Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice new boss
A new trailer for FromSoftware's Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has been released, it teases one of the games many bosses and gives players a sneak peak at what these types of encounters will look like.
The above video has been released onto the official PlayStation YouTube Channel and gives us a very quick look at 'Lady Butterfly'. Before I jump into the breakdown of Lady Butterfly I would advise you to not watch the above video if you desire to keep all the bosses in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice as a surprise.
Lady Butterfly has quite a unique habitat and it seems that when players encounter her they will be fighting in a burning building. We see glimpses of Lady Butterfly jumping from tight rope to tight rope, I would assume players will also be able to do this to utilize spacing techniques from the boss as she seems very fast. There is also the touch of the violin being played in the background, which I think perfectly contrasts to what the player is about to face off against.

Dad makes custom Zelda/Link life-lesson present for daughter
While most fathers would go out and buy their daughters a new phone, or some clothes they sought after for a graduation present. Other fathers make custom gaming related presents mixed with life-lessons.
The above image comes from Reddit user Tg8402, who custom made the Zelda themed present for his daughter to celebrate her graduation. Tg8402 even gave a little bit of backstory on the project after it picked up major traction in the /r/Zelda subreddit. "I introduced her to Zelda when she was 6 and she fell in love. Spent hours upon hours on Breath of the Wild which was the first game we got to experience together. I always told her that she was just like Link and just because you can't do something now doesn't mean you never can, you just weren't ready yet."
The meaning behind the gift continued; "But as time goes by you'll collect more hearts and more items along the way to help you face your obstacles. And one day you'll find your master sword and be ready to face your Ganon. I'm giving this to her for her graduation in a couple months. It's white gold and there's a little diamond in the middle. I hope she likes it." What an incredible gift combined with an even better life-lesson to bestow on the daughter that already loves Zelda and Link. The reddit user also details how he went about making the pendant, so if you are interested in replicating it for personal or gift use, check out this link here for a description on how it was done.

Google tease MAJOR gaming announcement for March 19th
Google have just recently teased that they could be jumping into the gaming market as the massive company will be making an appearance at this years Game Developers Conference. What for though?
Google has just added a keynote to the schedule for this years Game Developers Conference, the company is rumored to be gearing up for the reveal of their new game streaming service which comes under the codename 'Yeti', or 'Project Stream'. Google's invitation to GDC was more than simple, yet extremely effective. The invitation had a light at the end of a hallway that simply read "gather around".
If Google are planning on announcing their new game streaming service, GDC would be the perfect place to do it considering all of the big game development studios are all present to bare-witness to it. If Google's presentation is incredible, they will no doubt get many game developers from the conference signing up to the service. While there is next-to-no official details about what Google are planning for GDC, all game developers and gamers alike will have their eyes on the company at 1PM Eastern, March 19th.

Overwatch's new Paris map is now live on all platforms
Blizzard has been going through a tremendously stressful time, well at least the 800 laid off staff have, but Overwatch is still being treated well with the new Paris map moving out of the PTR and into the live game.
The new Overwatch map is now live on all platforms: PC, Xbox One, and PS4 and arrives with a new update that sees Blizzard fixing a bunch of bugs and other issues. If you haven't looked into Paris yet, the new map is another Assault map (the fifth one now) and is set in the city of Paris, France. This means you're confronted with narrow streets for tighter battles, corridors to get stuck in, and storefronts that will see a bunch of ultimates, and ultimately mad players, battling it out for that ever-so-precious SR.
Blizzard has a huge list of bugs that it fixed with Overwatch's various heroes, something that you can check out here. Now that Blizzard has got the new Paris map into the wild, is it time for a new hero? Yeah, I really think it is. We need some new healers, so it would be good to see another healer join the ranks in Overwatch... eh, Blizzard?

Huawei to unveil its next-gen P30 smartphone on March 26
Huawei is preparing for its next-gen P30 smartphone launch, tweeting out the official launch date of March 26 and by the tweet it seems that the company will be taking to France for the unveil.
The company showed off images of Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and Notre-Dame de Paris and also teased "rules were made to be rewritten", which seems like bad timing considering the turmoil Huawei is having with the US and President Trump. Huawei CEO Ren Zhengfei has called Trump a "great president" in between all of this hoopla, but I don't think it'll water down the P30 announcement next month.
Now, what we do know is that Huawei will be showing off some crazy camera advancements th at the P30 should have since the tweet included a video of some hotspots in France that it zoomed into. This leads us to believe that the Huawei P30 should have some ridiculous zooming abilities, an area that the company has been pounding with its phones for a while now: camera advancements.

Respawn has just pushed out the second update for mega smash hit battle royale game Apex Legends, with the new update concentrating on overall stability and various crashes on consoles.
All versions of the game including PC and consoles have had their slow-walking issues fixed, which was an issue with people reviving team mates and then seeing them move slowly afterwards now fixed. Mirage's abilities would sometimes crash the entire of Apex Legends, another issue that the developers at Respawn have now fixed inside of the update.
PlayStation 4 players have received a bunch of love, with GPU issues being fixed so it doesn't crash after pressing one of the buttons on the controller in the loading screen while the Xbox One version has been patched up for Gibraltar's Epic skins crashing matches when they were equipped. Samsung's foldable phone reportedly called Galaxy Fold
Samsung is hosting is massive Unpacked 2019 event tomorrow, where we will be formally introduced to the new family of Galaxy S10 smartphones as well as as few surprises.
One of which should be Samusng's first foldable smartphone which according to Evan 'evleaks' Blass will be called the Galaxy Fold. Blass took to Twitter with a simple tweet that read "Samsung Galaxy Fold" which is enough on its own. Samsung has been teasing it in various advertising spots on the internet, on TV and even at the movies (I saw it teased yesterday at the cinema when I saw Cold Pursuit).
I prefer the name Galaxy Fold over Galaxy F, as it lines up with the Galaxy Note (which is a Note-style phone) like the Galaxy Fold is a foldable phone. Whatever happens, we'll know for sure tomorrow. I'll be picking one up no matter what because I'm a technology and smartphone addict, and I can't wait.

Logitech reintroduces the MX518 gaming mouse for $60
I can't believe it has been 14 years since Logitech introduced one of the most legendary gaming mice: the MX518. The only one that comes close to it would have to be Microsoft's own IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 which I also loved, but the Logitech MX518 drove my professional Call of Duty: United Offensive days on the GameArena ladders here in Australia.
Well, Logitech has just revealed it is bringing back the MX518 gaming mouse with the same overall shape as the original mouse, but with various tweaks made to the hardware, materials used, and the buttons on the mouse. The refreshed Logitech MX518 features a 1ms response time, a HERO 16K sensor, and 8 programmable buttons that can be set to other keys, or specifically-chosen commands.
Logitech is providing more customization through its in-house Logitech Gaming Software, as well as on-the-fly adjustment buttons that are found above, and below the scroll wheel. The company is packing in some on-board memory that lets you save custom profiles onto the mouse so that you can transfer them between PCs which makes things easier.

Intel Core i9-9900KFC spotted, winner winner CPU dinner
Intel looks to be making a tasty new CPU with a purported Core i9-9900KFC model in the works... and that's not a typo, 'KFC' in the model of the processor actually makes sense and most likely won't come with a bucket of chicken.
Breaking down the KFC model we have 'K' meaning it's an unlocked CPU, 'F' is something new for Intel and means it doesn't feature integrated graphics, while 'C' designation was added to Broadwell CPUs that had improved integrated graphics. But the 'C' contradicts the 'F' as one means without integrated graphics and the other means it won't have integrated graphics, so what is going on here?
AnandTech points out that the 'C' processors featured a "small amount of eDRAM to act as a buffer between the L3 cache and the CPU. In our testing of those processors, it only really gave extra performance to integrated graphics workloads, which is where those Broadwell processors were focused". This means we could see a new high-end 8C/16T processor with additional eDRAM, which is going to confuse people I'm sure. The 9900KFC would feature additional hardware on it to boost graphics performance, but doesn't feature integrated graphics. Alrighty then.

Qualcomm unveils second-gen 5G modem with Snapdragon X55
Qualcomm has just unveiled its second-gen 5G modem with teh announcement of the Snapdragon X55, a beast of a chip that handles both 5G and 4G connectivity with support for both mmWave and sub-6GHz spectrums, like its X50 predecessor.
The new Snapdragon X55 ramps up theoretical peak speeds to 7Gbps (up from 5Gbps) download and up to 3Gbps upload. You won't hit those speeds walking around down, as you'll need to use the right phone, be in the right spot, and have perfect network conditions to be pulling down 7Gbps and uploading at a huge 3Gbps. Qualcomm has introduced 5G FDD support in the new Snapdragon X55, which is an important building block for Europe and other countries where it will free up low-frequency spectrum (600MHz to 900MHz) for that all-important 5G.
Qualcomm hosted its annual Snapdragon Tech Summit in Maui, Hawaii last year where it talked about using the Snapdragon X50 inside of the 5G-powered smartphones of 2019, but the new Snapdragon X55 will be what powers the 5G phones of tomorrow... as in 2020, and beyond. Qualcomm says it won't have Snapdragon X55 available until "late 2019", the company just announced it ahead of time to blow our minds open even more.

Anthem hits native 4K on Xbox One X
Anthem is the latest big-budget AAA game to leverage the Xbox One X's boosted GPU and CPU for higher-end visuals.
Armed with the brunt of the Xbox One X's higher-end 16nm Polaris GPU, 8-core Jaguar 2.3GHz CPU, and sizable 12GB of GDDR5 RAM, the team at BioWare brings a host of new console enhancements to their massive new IP, Anthem. The developer confirms Anthem can run at native 4K resolution with HDR on the Xbox One X--an impressive feat for any open-ended live game heavily reliant on online servers--but there's other optimizations included too. The in-game world will look better than ever with improved shadows and lighting effects, as well as boosted textures across the sci-fantasy landscape.
"The Anthem team has been able to leverage the power of the Xbox One X to deliver enhanced graphics to our players. The added GPU power of this console allows Anthem to render at native 4K and with HDR," BioWare's Scott Neumann told Xbox Wire. "To complement the increased image quality of 4K, we have also increased the resolution at which we render shadows in the game, and we have enhanced the rendering of in-game terrain."

Square Enix to combine dev teams amid losses
Square Enix will shake up and combine its myriad of dev teams to help optimize and organize games development, the company today announced.
Square Enix hasn't been doing too well lately. Sales of Just Cause 4 didn't meet launch targets, and its Q3 smartphone games didn't take off, resulting in lower than expected earnings. Now the company plans to restructure its business divisions to help streamline how it makes games.
The publisher currently operates with 11 different business departments that all handle development of various games, from big-budget Final Fantasy titles at BD1 to smaller-scale mobile games. CEO Yosuke Matsuda says this number shrink dramatically down to just 4 teams during Square Enix's next fiscal year.

Path of Exile PS4 release set for March 8
After a few delays and tons of tweaks, Path of Exile finally has a concrete PS4 launch date, and it's quite soon.
Path of Exile will arrive on PS4 on March 8, 2019 alongside the game's new Synthesis expansion, Grinding Gear Games today announced. The PlayStation 4 flavor will release with all previous expansions and content baked in alongside the Synthesis update, complete with console-friendly controls, chat systems, and everything else the previous games are known for (including excellent action RPG mechanics straight out of Diablo).
Like previous updates, the latest Synthesis expansion has a bunch of new additions including a fresh league for ladder-like competition, a new NPC called Cavas that opens up a unique questline, new skill gems, a ton of new items, and an interesting new Fractured item type that can be earned from synthesizing Cavas' memories. Just when I think GGG can't top their previous expansions they find new ways to re-invent the wheel.

Monster Hunter: World smashes Japan's sales charts
Monster Hunter: World conquers Japan's 2018 game sales with 2.85 million copies sold on PS4.
Capcom's online-based Monster Hunter: World multiplayer game has exploded since launch, spiking company profits by sixfold and ushering in a new steady influx of cash for the publisher. The game, which has sold more than 11 million units worldwide, is a huge success in its native land and actually outpaced big hits like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Pokemon Let's Go in 2018's game sales.
Although Japan is typically ruled by mobile and handheld gaming, Monster Hunter: World is a big driver of the country's dedicated console sector. According to new figures from Famitsu, 2018's top five best-selling games in Japan include: Monster Hunter: World (2.85 million), Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (2.66 million), Pokemon Let's GO Eevee and Pikachu (1.36 million), Splatoon 2 (1.19 million) and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (1 million). It's worth noting eight out of the ten top games are on Nintendo's new Switch handheld-console hybrid.

Lootboxes sneak into Black Ops 4
Activision and Treyarch add a familiar feature to Black Ops 4: lootboxes.
Black Ops 4 is already monetized with battle passes and COD Points (even reticles cost cash), but now lootboxes are coming back too. Starting with its new Operation Grand Heist update, Black Ops 4 will have purchasable lootboxes filled with randomized cosmetic loot. A new vendor, Blackjack, will peddle these seasonal-style wares in the game's Black Market microtransaction storefront. Not surprisingly, Activision never explicitly calls its lootboxes what they are--instead they're referred to as "Cases".
"Blackjack's Reserves: New Reserve items include playable zombie Blackout characters, Vacation Hudson sporting a Hawaiian shirt and tie, Mastercrafts for the KN-57 and Outlaw, and much more. Items from Reserves in past Operations will be available in Blackjack's Reserves, including the Mozu Replicant and SG12 Boombox Mastercrafts. Additionally, Cases containing Blackjack Reserves can be earned by playing Multiplayer or Blackout, or they can be acquired in the Black Market," reads a Treyarch blog post announcement.

Xbox One still flops in Japan
Japan, ruled by handhelds and mobile gaming, has no place for Microsoft's Xbox console.
According to hardware sales figures gleaned from Famitsu, the Xbox One is still doing poorly in Japan. The self-described "all-in-one" console can't gain traction on foreign soil, and is being absolutely annihilated by the Nintendo Switch and PS4 on their home turf. This is despite Microsoft's heavy investment in JRPGs and courting devs from overseas to help bolster the system's flagging first-party lineup.
The Xbox One barely managed to sell 100,000 units in Japan throughout 2018, whereas other dedicated consoles like the Nintendo Switch hybrid sold 6.8 million and the PlayStation 4 hit 7.5 million. But Nintendo's 3DS handheld absolutely dominated sales charts with 24.3 million units sold throughout the year, largely driven by strong catalog games and content.
Google to reveal gaming platform at GDC 2019
Google's been working on a big gaming platform for years now, and the company should be ready to show it off at GDC 2019 in March.
Google's new Project Stream game streaming service may just be a part of its ambitious plans. The company is one of the many tech giants stepping into the streaming arena (Apple, Verizon, Microsoft and EA are all working on streaming), but the billion-dollar search mogul needs more than a singular service. The company will likely unveil its comprehensive, multi-faceted platform that incorporates Project Stream and other software and services, the same way Microsoft's Xbox LIVE online is the framework for its rich bedrock of subscriptions and services.
It's possible that new Google gaming hardware will be part of the plan, too. Project Stream aims to use cloud servers to beam high-quality gaming to any device via Chrome, whether its laptops, PCs, tablets or phones. But we should also see the company roll out small, cost-effective mini-consoles or set-top boxes to receive Project Stream's cloud-streamed games.

Jagex showcase Old School RuneScape in-game statistics
Jagex should be more than proud with their efforts they have thrown into Old School RuneScape. The game has taken off once more and has reached a new all-time high popularity wise, and now we have the statistics to prove it.
Since Jagex decided to re-roll the RuneScape servers back to the glory days of 2007, the Old School RuneScape community has been on nothing but an upswing player-base wise. The classic game powered by a democracy of community decisions recently debuted to mobile as well, which resulted in the title catapulting itself through records set back in 2008 for 'most total paid memberships at once'.

'The Witcher 3' developers possibly working on Switch title
How possible do you think it would be to get The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt onto the Nintendo Switch? At first thought, I would say that would be quite an achievement for CD Projekt RED or any porting company, but not entirely impossible.
CD Projekt RED is the developer behind the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077, and also the developer behind the critically acclaimed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The news of CD Projekt RED dipping their toes into the Nintendo Switch pool come from YouTuber 'Doctre81', who claims to have found a recent job listing for a GOG Galaxy software engineer.
The listing which is for a position of 'Head of Software Engineering for GOG Galaxy' asks potential applicants to imagine a place where all gamers would be able to connect regardless of their platform, more specifically it also lists Nintendo Switch as apart of that. CD Projekt RED owns GOG and seems to looking towards the Nintendo Switch as a potential platform, what game would we see if the polish game developer decided to venture there? Most likely, I would think Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is most realistic even though CD Proejekt RED has said they have 'no plans' for a Switch port.
