NASA is currently preparing to explore the moon, and to do that, the space agency will need brand new spacesuits for its valiant astronauts.

The space agency has revealed the two companies that have been selected to construct next-generation spacesuits designed for spacewalks outside of the International Space Station (ISS) and exploring the surface of the moon. NASA has selected Axiom Space and Collins Aerospace, and have provided the companies with technical and safety standards that will need to be taken into account before any construction commences, as well as a requirement for the suits to be built around the new "xEMU" equipment (Exploration Extravehicular Mobility Unit).

Currently, NASA astronauts are using spacesuits that were designed approximately 45 years ago for the Space Shuttle program, and according to the agency, the new suits are expected to be ready sometime before 2025. Before being widely manufactured, the new spacesuits will first be tested by astronauts aboard the ISS and, if proven useful, will be what astronauts that explore the surface of the moon will be wearing in the years to come.

Elon Musk has given Tesla and SpaceX employees an ultimatum, either they come into work 40 hours a week, or they leave their position.

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO recently sent out memos to both Tesla and SpaceX executives that state that employees who wish to work remotely will need to spend at least 40 hours a week in the office, or depart from the company/s. Notably, Musk says that if there are any "particularly exceptional" employees for whom this new ruling doesn't work for, he will review those exceptions personally to determine an outcome.

Furthermore, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO reiterated that the "office" is, in this instance, to be a main Tesla office and not a "remote branch office unrelated to the job duties." Musk goes on to give an example of an HR employee that is responsible for Fremont factory human relations having their office in another state.

The United States will soon be getting its first road that can wirelessly charge electric vehicles that are traveling on the road.

The company behind the next-generation road is Electreon, and according to the company's press release, the road is set to be constructed in Detroit, Michigan. The road will be able to wirelessly charge electric vehicles with an underground network of charging coils that are connected to an electricity grid. Notably, electric vehicles that aren't equipped with a receiver won't be able to acquire a charge while driving on the road.

Furthermore, the road won't be able to fully charge an EV's battery, especially considering the road's length. However, the road will be able to provide a decent amount of charge that will top up a battery. The amount of charge received will depend on the speed the EV is traveling on the road. Lastly, Electreon has said that EV drivers will be able to create a tab where they can pay for the electricity at a later date. The first wirelessly charging road is expected to completed next year.

A YouTuber has been smacked by the long hand of Nintendo as the legendary company has dished out more than 500+ copyright claims.

For those that are unaware of Nintendo's history with copyright claims, the company has got a notoriously long history of refusing to let creators use any of Nintendo-patented music. At one stage, the company was issuing copyright claims to creators that were publishing YouTube videos that displayed gameplay from a Nintendo game. However, Nintendo has become somewhat relaxed on that front now.

Now, YouTuber DeoxysPrime took to Twitter to announce that his YouTube channel, which has 165,000 followers, has been hit with more than 500 copyright infringement claims over the last week. The YouTuber wrote in a Twitter thread that they will be removing all Nintendo music from the channel, adding that "it's pretty clear they don't want their music on YouTube".

Taiwan's cooling component suppliers foresee fantastic demand for its products in 2H 2022, which is when NVIDIA and AMD will be launching their next-gen GeForce RTX 40 and Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs. According to the latest report from DigiTimes, their sources have said Taiwanese manufacturers like Auras Technology and Sun Max, are excited for 2H 2022 and beyond.

Russia has now been locked out of buying any electronic components from Taiwanese companies that are over 25MHz, which is pretty much all modern electronics.

In a shock announcement, chief operating officer of Facebook and its parent company Meta -- Sheryl Sandberg -- has said she's leaving the company after 14 years by Mark Zuckerberg's side.

Sandberg announced the news on her personal Facebook page, with the shock exit from one of the biggest and most influential companies of all time, where news broke just barely over a month ago that Sandberg asked the mainstream media to bury disturbing reports on her then-boyfriend and current Activision-Blizzard boss, Bobby Kotick.

Apple is moving production of its iPad out of China and into Vietnam according to the latest reports, with the pandemic lockdowns being blamed for the shift.

The company has also reportedly asked multiple component suppliers to build up their inventories, just in case more shortages or supply issues happen. Apple has built production lines in Vietnam and "could soon start to produce a small number of the iconic tablets there", with the help of China's BYD -- so China... is helping Apple make the facilities to build iPads in Vietnam -- cool.

Apple is already making their AirPods in Vietnam. But the iPad has many more components and complicated parts than the AirPods, so it won't be a case of Vietnam making tens of millions of iPads per year starting this year, but more so a case of Apple shifting reliance to Vietnam from China starting now.

Mellanox was acquired by NVIDIA a few years ago at a cost of $6.9 billion, and now we're seeing NVIDIA unveil its new ConnectX-7 SKUs that have some impressive features.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will release on November 18, 2022 exclusively on the Nintendo Switch, both Nintendo and The Pokemon Company today announced.

Today the Pokemon Company dropped a new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer that reveals a bunch of new in-game pocket monsters, including the endearing chonky pig Lechonk. Despite ongoing controversy among fans, Take-Two is confident that Red Dead Online is among the largest interactive gaming worlds on the planet.

Red Dead Online, the live service component of Red Dead Redemption 2, is currently mired with controversy. Players have been asking Rockstar Games to deliver new meaningful online content for quite some time now. Faithful player went so far as to launch a Save Red Dead Online social media campaign.

While fans may be disappointed, Rockstar Games parent company Take-Two isn't. After all, Red Dead Online outperformed expectations last quarter and RDR2 sold 6 million copies during the year, bringing total game sales to 44 million. In fact, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick believes that Red Dead Online is one of the top premium digital online experiences currently available.

Sony and Gearbox have finally reached a deal to add PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 cross-play to Borderlands 3.

Years after launch, Borderlands 3 has finally received full cross-play between consoles and PC. Gamers are now free to play with each other across Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Steam/Epic Games Store, and Google's Stadia cloud streaming service. Sadly, cross-progression is still not available so if you move to another platform you'll still have to restart from scratch.

Borderlands 3 didn't have PlayStation cross-play at launch due to issues behind the scenes. Older 2021 reports indicate Sony is charging an extra fee for cross-play integration if players were spending more on non-Sony platforms.

The interactive games industry has a golden rule: Entertainment and fun must come before monetization. If a game isn't fun, you can't properly monetize it. Digital live games with monetary-driven economies either follow this rule or fail. This tenant is especially true for the new era of blockchain-driven NFT games built in the "metaverse," which bank on digital real-estate for primary funding.

BoJack Horseman and Arrested Development actor Will Arnett to lend his iconic voice to maniac clown Sweet Tooth in the new Twisted Metal TV show, Variety reports.

Sony's new Twisted Metal TV show is taking shape. The series has secured Will Arnett (of BoJack Horseman and Arrested Development fame) to voice the destruction derby battle royale franchise's most notorious character--the crazed, flame-haired Sweet Tooth--in the Twisted Metal live action rendition. Other talent include Marvel's Falcon Anthony Mackie, who will portray Axel, as well as Neve Campbell, Stephanie Beatriz, and Thomas Haden Church.

The show is described as a post-apocalyptic comedy and will be developed for NBC's Peacock streaming services. Sony Pictures and Sony's new PlayStation Productions label alongside Universal Television are producing the series.

The Tekken franchise has sold over 53 million units to date, Bandai Namco has announced.

The latest sales figures show that Tekken is the most popular traditional fighting game series of all time. Bandai Namco today confirmed Tekken 7 has pushed past 9 million sales, and a quick bit of math gives us a total figure for the entire series. The Tekken franchise has now sold over 53 million games across dozens of entries in the last 28 years.

These numbers indicate Tekken has actually sold 6 million more copies that Capcom's Street Fighter series, which is currently at 47 million units. It's worth noting that crossover brawler Super Smash Bros. has technically sold more copies than Tekken with over 69 million units sold to date, the bulk of which is from the Switch version.

SEGA just premiered the first-every gameplay footage of Sonic Frontiers, exposing a world full of mystery, ambition, and loneliness.

Sonic Frontiers is definitely the most ambitious Sonic game ever made. The new experience aims to deliver Sonic's very own Breath of the Wild moment, complete with an impressive-looking open world ripe for exploration and deep lore beats. The latest gameplay reveal showed what looks to be fun game full of capability and potential, but there's just one thing we couldn't shake while watching the footage: The sense of loneliness.

Perhaps what makes games like these the most powerful is a sense of being alone in a world that's full of potential. Breath of the Wild has a distinct sense of somber loneliness at parts, especially while exploring, but the game capitalizes on this alone time magic at every turn by creating a world with many secrets and things to do. There's so many different unique possibilities in Breath of the Wild that may or may not be present in Sonic Frontiers, but even if you are alone, the world makes you feel engaged at all times in a myriad of avenues, including characters, environments, or just exploration. You're alone but the world never makes you feel totally alone.

Many locals in the town of Broome, located in Western Australia, believed they were witnessing a meteor shower, but it turned out to be something else entirely.

ABC confirmed reports from many residents throughout the town that during the early hours of Monday morning, several loud sonic booms were heard/felt at around 12:30 am on Monday. Viewers that rushed outside saw space debris breaking up and streaking across the night. Some people believed what they were seeing was missiles or flares, but according to Harvard astrophysicist Jonathan McDowell, who spoke to ABC, the light show that was seen by a few wasn't meteors, flares, or missiles, but a rocket.

The Harvard astrophysicist said that the rocket was a piece of a Chinese Long March 3 rocket that was launched in July last year. The rocket stage departed Earth's orbit and reentered the planet's atmosphere, where it eventually broke up and disintegrated in a fireball. "It [the rocket] launched a communications satellite called Tian Lian, which is actually a relay satellite that the Chinese astronauts on the Chinese space station use," said McDowell.
