NES Mini controllers are absurdly short
Everyone wants an NES Mini, but I remained skeptical, and until now, I haven't seen anyone answer the most important question of all: how long are the controller cords? Well, it turns out that Nintendo didn't just cheap out on hardware, but they packed in an ultra-short controller cord to boot.
Polygon has finally written up something actually worthwhile about the NES Classic Edition; instead of just praising it at every turn, the publication is now scrutinizing one of the system's most annoying aspects: ultra-short controller cables. The NES Mini's controllers resemble a normal NES controller in almost every way--it's shaped the same, just as big as the golden oldie, but the cord length has been severed by half. We're talking Famicom-length short.
Nintendo shipping out NES Mini controllers with tiny cords just reeks of cost-cutting, and if it wasn't for the system's scaled resolution and video modes in 1080p, I'd call the tiny box just another shameless nostalgic cash grab. Considering how light the system is--it's literally just a Raspberry Pi-sized PCB in a really thin plastic box--this is a big problem. I see the system slinging all over the place, sliding every which way on coffee tables, stands, entertainment centers, etc.

Blizzcon 2016: Diablo I and II HD remasters are likely
UPDATE: Blizzard won't be remastering the original Diablo games, but instead recreating the first Diablo adventure within Diablo III. There was no mention of porting Diablo II over in this fashion, so it looks like D2 will remain as it is.
Original story is as follows.
Blizzard may unveil remastered versions of the original ARPGs that started it all at Blizzcon, with HD ports of Diablo I and Diablo II along with a new Necromancer class being the major Diablo announcements at the show.

Take a look inside the NES Mini
The new NES Classic Edition, or NES Mini as it's collectively known, aims to bring the world back to the golden age of 80's console gaming. But what makes the little box tick? Is it just a Raspberry Pi slapped into a cute teensy NES replica?
As it turns out, the NES Mini is quite close to your basic cheap tablet in terms of internal hardware. The tech itself is somewhat similar with a Raspberry Pi 2, but Nintendo has customized the NES Mini and removed a bunch of basic components found on the Raspberry Pi models, and Nintendo also went with a cheaper Allwinner alternative for obvious reasons.
Unlike a Raspberry Pi 3, however, the NES Mini's 512MB Spansion NAND Flash memory is soldered directly onto the PCB, so you won't be able to easily swap in Mini SD cards loaded with tons of ROMs.

Mass Effect: Andromeda could be delayed again
N7 Day is just three days away, and EA is expected to finally reveal Mass Effect: Andromeda's 2017 release date. That date won't be set in stone, however: EA says that it will delay the game as far as half a year if BioWare needs more time.
Even amidst its new push towards action games, EA understands that the Mass Effect IP is a juggernaut that can't be rushed out the door.
BioWare has been diligently working on the game for years now, and the game itself has shown up at major trade shows like E3 2016 with hardly any in-game footage. There's a reason for that: EA is giving BioWare all the time they need to make the game great.

Bullshots are coming to an end on Steam
Steam may soon require all games sold on its digital storefront to be accompanied by actual in-game screenshots instead of disingenuous, non-representative "bullshot" images that devs and publishers use to dazzle gamers.
Good news, PC gamers! Bullshots are coming to an end, at least on Steam. Valve plans on rolling out a new Discovery 2.0 update in a few weeks that asks developers to showcase authentic images of their game. This means the obviously doctored Watch Dogs bullshots and those infamous No Man's Sky images will need to be swapped out entirely--along with a ton of other misleading screenshots.
"We ask that any image syou upload to the screenshot section of your store page should be screenshots that show your game. This means avoiding using concept art, pre-rendered cinematic stills, or images that contain awards, cmarketing copy, or written product descriptions. Please show customers what youre game is actually like to play," Valve wrote on the blog update.

The first solo 'Wonder Woman' feature which stars Gal Gadot reprising her role first seen in 'Batman v Superman' is set to delve deeper into the mythology of the Amazonian warrior, while weaving in and out of history.

Fisker is back with a brand new electric car
Henrik Fisker wants to forget all about its past failures and start a new page. He launched a new company, Fisker Inc. earlier this year, previously known as Fisker Automotive.
Fisker Automotive is related to what some call the biggest failure in the history of electric cars. In 2011 they announced the Fisker Karma, a $108,000 electric car, that turned out to have a pretty bad karma... The car was recalled multiple times due to many issues and the entire fiasco ended with the company filing for bankruptcy.
Given the history, Fisker's decision to come back to the electric car market is brave. But, he is back with a new car - EMotion.

AirPods might not see the light of day until January
Apple's AirPods, which were scheduled to go on sale late October (that ship has sailed), were first postponed because according to Apple's spokesperson "they need a little more time before the AirPods are ready for customers."
Although a new date hasn't been given, users expected the delay wouldn't be a longer than a month, or at least the wireless ear buds that are somewhat of a replacement for the lack of headphone jack on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus would be ready before Christmas.
However, according to MacRumors, that might not happen. They report is that Apple is aiming towards January 2017 for the AirPods launch.

This is the 15,000th article I've written for TweakTown
I can't believe that I'm writing this article, a major milestone not just for me personally, but professionally. This post is my 15,000th article that I've written for TweakTown, a massive journey that started in 2010. But where did I come from?
We're told throughout life that we need to finish school, go into further study, and spend our 20s 'finding ourselves' and trying out different jobs. Well, I've always been someone who doesn't want to do things the way everyone else does it - and this is how I've approached most of my life, including my career.
I was never someone who spent much time thinking about my career when I was a teenager and went from a factory/laboring job directly into IT retail for just under 10 years. I worked at a small IT retailer in South Australia called Getright Computers, right up until the end of the world - 12/21/12... the end of the Mayan calendar, 21st December, 2012 - the day I quit my day job and started writing for TweakTown full-time.

Xander Cage returns in first 'XXX 3' trailer
It's been over a decade since the last 'xXx' film which saw the lead role inherited by Ice Cube (yeah, the early '00's were weird), but Paramount Pictures has deemed the time is right to reinvigorate the old franchise for a third film which has just dropped its first trailer.
Despite killing the character off for the DVD extended cut of the first 'xXx' before being replaced by Ice Cube for the 2005 sequel, 'xXx: The Return of Xander Cage' will see Vin Diesel will reprise his role as the extreme sports loving secret agent, alongside Nina Dobrev, Ruby Rose, Donnie Yen and Rory McCann. Director D.J. Caruso who was behind the lens for 'Disturbia' and 'Eagle Eye' will take the helm.
'xXx: Return of Xander Cage' hits cinemas worldwide from January 20, 2017.
