Here's how to romance Judy Alvarez as male V. in Cyberpunk 2077

Derek Strickland | Gaming | Jan 5, 2021 2:08 PM CST

Like Mass Effect, certain Cyberpunk 2077 NPCs only swing one way. Gamers have now uncovered cut romance option in CP2077's source code to remove these restrictions and unlock steamy scenes. Sadly this trick is only available on PC as it requires a mod to change the game's code.

Here's how to romance Judy Alvarez as male V. in Cyberpunk 2077

Your body type in Cyberpunk 2077 determines who you can and can't romance. By default, characters like Panam and Kerry can only be romanced by V. if they have a male body. Conversely, Judy Alvarez and River only respond to characters with a female body. This wasn't always the case, though.

CD Projekt RED had originally explored all romance options, and the game has lines of code where male V. could sleep with characters like Judy. Users can simply change the line of code with the Cyber Engine Tweak mod on PC and woo Judy as a male, complete with male voice dialog and everything.

CD Projekt RED is getting sued by another law firm over Cyberpunk 2077

Derek Strickland | Gaming | Jan 5, 2021 11:18 AM CST

Another U.S. law firm is suing Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt RED, making for a total of 3 lawsuits against the company.

CD Projekt RED is getting sued by another law firm over Cyberpunk 2077

California-based law firm Bragar Eagel & Squire, P.C. recently announced they have filed a class-action lawsuit against CD Projekt SA over the Cyberpunk 2077 controversy. The suit was filed just days after the firm starting investigating possible securities fraud, and shows confidence in the case against CDP.

Right now the troubled Polish developer is getting sued by three U.S.-based legal teams; Rosen Law, Schall Law, and now Bragar Eagel & Squire. The suits allege the same thing: CD Projekt willfully mislead investors by withholding information and caused shareholders to lose money.

Hey Zack Snyder, please make a Wonder Woman movie that looks like this

Anthony Garreffa | TV, Movies & Home Theatre | Jan 5, 2021 2:09 AM CST

I was scrolling through my personal Twitter feed and came across a picture that was uploaded by @UberKyptonian that showed the concept art of Wonder Woman before it was handed over to Patty Jenkins.

Hey Zack Snyder, please make a Wonder Woman movie that looks like this

As @UberKryptonian says so perfectly: "While I love the first Wonder Woman film and what Patty did, the energy of the image on the left is so f*cking metal" and I totally agree. I love the style of what Jenkins did with Wonder Woman, but man if the Amazonian herself was going go around with a samurai, Sikh warrior, Native American, British soldier, and African warrior and then beat bad guys up, decapitate them, and collect their heads?

Uh, yeah I want that -- and Zack Snyder, I think he'd handle this style of Wonder Woman perfectly. A mix of Wonder Woman with 300, as well as that visual Snyder flair and some epic slow mo? I'm in.

This is why ASUS motherboards and GPUs will cost more in 2021

Anthony Garreffa | Graphics Cards | Jan 5, 2021 1:37 AM CST

ASUS has come out swinging very early on, telling everyone to expect increases in the costs of PC components across the board -- graphics cards, motherboards, and everything in between.

This is why ASUS motherboards and GPUs will cost more in 2021

The news is coming directly from ASUS's Technical Product Marketing Manager, Juan Jose, who posted on the ASUS PC DIY Facebook page. I've got his full quote below, but commenting on the post has been disabled. I'm sure this was done so that there wouldn't be any debate about it.

We've seen gigantic shortages of high-end graphics cards, motherboards, and even the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles worldwide. It should come as no surprise PC component shortages are happening, so price increases across the board will be happening in response to that.

ASUS to tease 2021 ROG and TUF Gaming laptop designs on January 12

Anthony Garreffa | Laptops | Jan 5, 2021 12:50 AM CST

ASUS is about ready to unveil its next-gen 2021 ROG and 2021 TUF Gaming laptops, teasing a new special event for January 12. They've also teased on the official Twitter account for TUF Gaming, too:

ASUS to tease 2021 ROG and TUF Gaming laptop designs on January 12

The new 2021 TUF Gaming design has been overhauled for this year, with a new rectangular design that the video teased has been upgraded in a big way as the previous-gen designs didn't have great cooling. We don't know how much ASUS has tweaked the design, but now we know we'll be detailed in full on January 12.

We should expect ASUS to be using either AMD's new Ryzen 5000H "Cezanne-H" or Intel's new Tiger Lake-H 11th Gen CPUs inside of the new 2021 laptops.

AMD dethrones Intel desktop CPU market share, 15 years in the making

I can't believe the day has come, but AMD has just dethroned Intel and its desktop CPU market share dominance for the first time in 15 years.

AMD dethrones Intel desktop CPU market share, 15 years in the making

The latest results from benchmarking outfit PassMark Software for Q1 2021 see AMD with a commanding 50.8% of the worldwide desktop CPU market share. This has Intel with 49.2% in comparison, with the last time AMD being in this position being all the way back in Q1 2006 -- and even then, the 53.9% market share it had at the time only lasted for 3 months.

Intel absolutely destroys when it comes to the laptop CPU market, with a huge 83.8% market share and AMD in its dust with 16.3% -- but I see in the next couple of years Intel will be pushed off its perch by not just AMD... but the likes of Apple, and others.

GeForce RTX 3060 ULTRA teased: 12GB VRAM, beats RTX 3060 Ti for $449

Anthony Garreffa | Graphics Cards | Jan 4, 2021 11:24 PM CST

Well, it seems my predictions are coming true -- NVIDIA is bringing back the ULTRA branding and I couldn't be more hyped. We're starting with new rumors from our friends over at Wccftech, who have the scoop on the new GeForce RTX 3060 ULTRA.

GeForce RTX 3060 ULTRA teased: 12GB VRAM, beats RTX 3060 Ti for $449

Yeah, you read that right -- GeForce RTX 3060 ULTRA. Not the GeForce RTX 3060 -- Wccftech says that their sources informed them that NVIDIA is re-branding its GeForce RTX 3060 and introducing it as the GeForce RTX 3060 ULTRA. I'm alright with that, because I'm a huge fan of the older GeForce cards and their ULTRA branding.

ULTRA >> Ti >> SUPER.

IKEA makes mock PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles, helps you measure it

Sony has an absolutely mammoth console with the PlayStation 5, with some people not being able to fit them into their entertainment units.

So the brains at IKEA have come through for us all, with some mock consoles available in some stores so you can see how big they'd be against some home furniture and entertainment units. The physical size guides are also semi-styled to the PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles -- captured and uploaded to Reddit.

IKEA explains on the box of the PS5: "Which Ikea media storage unit will be able to fit my new, meme-ishly oversized, gaming console?" I think this is a fantastic idea, especially if you're buying some new furniture for your living or gaming room and need to have dimensions, literally in front of you.

Anthony Garreffa | Gaming | Jan 4, 2021 10:22 PM CST

I still remember walking into EB Games and buying the original Xbox along with the original Halo, and Project Gotham Racing, and losing probably a good 6-12 months solid of my life. But man, was it worth it. Now, we have emulators with the new Xemu v0.5 release... check it out:

Hitman 3 entire trilogy reduced to under 100GB, visual upgrades coming

Hitman 3 will be launching later this month and developer IO Interactive has said that the new game be a "platform" for the full reboot trilogy.

With that, gamers will be able to import levels, collectibles and even progress from the last two games in the Hitman franchise. But now a verified member of the Hitman 3 development team talked about some of the inner workings on the ResetEra forums, and some of the magic IO Interactive has done with the game.

The poster explained: "One thing I think all of you will be happy to hear is that we have managed to get the size of the game down significantly. All three games with all content will take up around 100 GB. [...] Biggest wins are because of data management and file structures and how we deliver the game so we could remove duplicate data. We also use newer and better compression for textures".

Cybershoes announces Quest compatibility issues, campaign brings $100K

Last October, following the launch of the Oculus Quest 2, Cybershoes announced that it would launch a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the production of a Quest-compatible version of the Cybershoes VR locomotion accessory.

The campaign kicked off in November, and it was an instant success. Within hours, Cybershoes had raised the $30,000 it sought after with the campaign. Ultimately, the campaign closed with more than three times that much raised, with just shy of $100,000 in capital to bring the product to market.

TSMC earns record profit in 2020 -- 5nm domination begins in 2021

Anthony Garreffa | Business, Financial & Legal | Jan 4, 2021 8:23 PM CST

TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) is rumored to boost its capital expenditure as we head into 2021, with $22 billion ready to go for the year.

TSMC earns record profit in 2020 -- 5nm domination begins in 2021

This means TSMC will have a 30% growth over 2020 for 2021, which will most likely see the Taiwanese semiconductor leader to stand out from the pack against the likes of Samsung, and others in the fab business. But when it comes to revenue in December 2020, investment bank Morgan Stanley estimates TSMC will make around $4.6 billion (NT$130.5 billion) a new all-time high for the company.

Morgan Stanley notes that this would be the first time that TSMC has breached NT$130 billion for the first time ever, but in the first 11 months of 2020 (January-November) the company breached NT$1.2 trillion ($42 billion or so) which is a hefty 26.4% year-over-year increase. TSMC is expecting even bigger numbers -- NT$1.5 trillion -- in 2021.

That 78 x GeForce RTX 3080 mining rig has RGB, now makes $900 per DAY!

Anthony Garreffa | Cryptocurrency & Mining | Jan 4, 2021 7:31 PM CST

One of the stories from last week blew up, with Simon Byrne and his huge 78 x GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card crypto mining rig. But now... it has RGB lighting turned on and it is the most beautiful personal mine I've ever seen. Check it out:

That 78 x GeForce RTX 3080 mining rig has RGB, now makes $900 per DAY!

But now the story has changed a bit, as the price of Bitcoin has exploded up to $34,000 -- as too as Ethereum. This means that those early numbers of around $10,000 per month or $128,000 per year are a little on the low side, and Bryne would now be making up in excess of $20,000 per month and around $250,000+ per year.

Byrne's total mining system power is 143 GPUs with 28.46 kW of power consumption, 9.665GH/s of ETH mining power -- and around $900 profit per day... all with RGB lighting on top!

Elder Scrolls 6 may be set in this region, Bethesda strongly hints

Derek Strickland | Gaming | Jan 4, 2021 6:45 PM CST

In 2018, Bethesda showed us where The Elder Scrolls VI would be based. Fans think it's a toss up between two regions: The western wastes of Hammerfell, or the diverse lands of High Rock to the northwest. Now Bethesda might've dropped a new hint.

Elder Scrolls 6 may be set in this region, Bethesda strongly hints

In a recent New Year's post, Bethesda shared a curious image that could give clues on The Elder Scrolls VI's location. The map shows a few candles precariously placed across Skyrim's map with a curious tagline: "Transcribe the past and map the future." One of these candles is placed in region of Hammerfell, which is southwest of Skyrim.

Hammerfell is the home of the desert-dwelling Redguards, the race of the famed Alik'r warriors with their curved swords. Hammerfell was previously featured in the old PC spin-off The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard, as well as The Elder Scrolls: Arena, and Daggerfall.

In a recent note to investors, ACE analyst Hideki Yasuda outlines a somewhat grim future for the console in its homeland. Conversely, the PlayStation 5 is breaking records in other regions and had the best launch in U.S. history.
