I know what I'd do if I had hundreds and hundreds of NVIDIA RTX A4000 workstation GPUs laying around... put them to work in a GPU crypto mining farm... right?

Vietnamese retailer "Nyugen Cong PC" is proudly bragging that it has systems with 8 x NVIDIA RTX A4000 workstation GPUs that are strictly being provided to crypto miners. The systems are mighty powerful, pushing out 500MH/s+ with the retailer saying that the RTX A4000-based systems are cheaper, and faster than the RTX 3070 Ti GPUs.

The systems look absolutely beautiful, with the Vietnamese retailer doing some meticulous work on the systems... with NVIDIA's RTX A4000 workstation GPUs sitting there mining away. It's still weird that NVIDIA is able to hand out boxes and boxes of its workstation-ready GPUs and then see them being used in crypto mining farms... I don't know how it continues to happen, but this is just yet another story.

Epic Games has unleashed Unreal Engine 5 into the world, where you can now download it from the Epic Games Launcher (20GB download). It was released during the State of Unreal 2022 event, where the developer displayed a list of game developers working on games powered by Unreal Engine 5.

During the State of Unreal 2022 live stream, developer Epic Games posted up a picture of a list of game developers that are working on games powered by Unreal Engine 5. The list includes developers like CD PROJEKT RED, Xbox, PlayStation (and PSVR 2), Ninja Theory, Tencent Games, Obsidian Entertainment, The Initiative, Codemasters, Remedy, Bloober, Splash Damage, Gearbox, and so many more.

Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics announced during the State of Unreal 2022 event that its new Tomb Raider game was being made with Unreal Engine 5, while it'll be awesome to see the fruits of the UE5 labor in Sony's next-gen PlayStation VR2 headset and UE5-powered VR games of the future.

Noctua has said that all of its coolers apart from one are upwards compatible with AMD's next-gen AM5 socket, which will debut with the new Zen 4-based Ryzen 7000 series CPUs launching later this year.

It's not just Noctua CPU coolers but also the mounting kits that will be AM5 compatible, the only model that won't work with AM5 will be the NH-L9a-AM4 and the NM-AM4-L9aL9i coolers. Noctua explains in a new FAQ: "All Noctua AM4 mountings except the ones of the NH-L9a-AM4 and the NM-AM4-L9aL9i attach to the threads of the standard AM4 stock backplate. Since these backplate threads and their pattern are identical on AM4 and AM5, our AM4 mountings that attach to the standard AMD backplate also support AM5".

AMD designed the new AM5 package to be the same size as AM4, meaning that mounting holes for existing AM4 coolers are compatible. AMD keeps the same z-height as well, so we should see mounting kits for AM4 socket being compatible with the new Zen 4-ready AM5 socket.

But over in China, select retailers are giving away the 600W-ready 16-pin PCIe 5.0-ready power connector with its ROG Thor I 1200W and ROG Thor II 1000W PSUs. There are limitations on this, with reports that the PCIe 5.0 power cables are only bundled with ROG Thor/Thor II PSUs that were recently purchased.

Twitter is finally... finally... FINALLY adding an edit button that millions have wanted for years now. The social networking giant -- now 9.2% owned by SpaceX and Tesla owner Elon Musk -- has announced people can edit their tweets after they've posted them. Hooray!

Twitter will be testing the edit feature with its Twitter Blue subscribers in "the coming months", but the social networking giant tweeted -- without an edit -- that it had been "working on an edit feature since last year". The edit feature comes within 24 hours of Musk being added to the board of directors at Twitter, and barely a few more hours more in the aftermath that Musk had purchased billions of dollars in Twitter shares.

Jay Sullivan, the company's VP of consumer product explained last week: "the most requested Twitter feature for many years" had been an edit feature. He continued: "Without things like time limits, controls, and transparency about what has been edited, Edit could be misused to alter the record of the public conversation. Protecting the integrity of that public conversation is our top priority when we approach this work".

Intel and Lockheed Martin already collaborate with strategic relationships that have been nurtured for over 10 years now, but the two have just entered a new memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the future of 5G technology.

The companies will use 5G software and hardware solutions to push for faster, and quicker actions for the U.S. Department of Defense. Intel already provides 5G solutions that are integrated into Lockheed Martin's 5G.MIL Hybrid Base Station.

Lockheed Martin's 5G.MIL Hybrid Base Station "acts as a multi-network gateway for ubiquitous communications between military personnel and current and emerging platforms including satellites, aircraft, ships and ground vehicles". Inside, Lockheed Martin also uses Intel's advanced processor technologies and innovations on network and the edge "to bring cloud capabilities to the areas of tactical need".

The new Tomb Raider game will be tapping next-gen Unreal Engine 5 technology, in an announcement from developer Crystal Dynamics.

Crystal Dynamics announced during the "State of Unreal 2022" event that the new Tomb Raider is being built with Unreal Engine 5. We don't know what the new Tomb Raider will be, whether it'll be a successor to Shadow of the Tomb Raider, or something new: but whatever it is, it'll be powered by Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5.

The two previous Tomb Raider games from Crystal Dynamics -- Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider -- used their in-house Foundation Engine. This marks another big developer shifting away from their in-house engine, and into the warm arms of Epic Games and its new Unreal Engine 5 technology. The Witcher developer CD PROJEKT RED recently announced that it is working on a new Witcher game using Unreal Engine 5.

Horror game dev Bloober Team nearly tripled its revenues throughout 2021 thanks to the success of The Medium.

According to latest filings, Polish studio Bloober Team has reported record revenues and profits for 2021. The company made 74.832 million PLN ($18.326 million) in revenues throughout last year, driven by its wide slate of titles including The Medium, Layers of Fear VR, Layers of Fear 2 Switch port, and the recent Observer System Redux remaster.

Bloober Team also made a record for profits in 2021 with 21.783 million PLN ($5.334 million) generated for the period. The studio is currently working on a handful of projects including the next Layers of Fear game. Chinese juggernaut Tencent also purchased a 22% stake in Bloober Team last year.

Elon Musk is moving at rapid speed into the inner core of Twitter, after news broke that the SpaceX and Tesla founder had purchased a huge 9.2% stake in Twitter.

This gives Musk new powers within the walls of Twitter and their powers that be, with a new filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) explaining: "The Company will appoint Mr. Musk to the Company's Board of Directors (the "Board") to serve as a Class II director with a term expiring at the Company's 2024 Annual Meeting of Stockholders".

"For so long as Mr. Musk is serving on the Board and for 90 days thereafter, Mr. Musk will not, either alone or as a member of a group, become the beneficial owner of more than 14.9% of the Company's common stock outstanding at such time, including for these purposes economic exposure through derivative securities, swaps, or hedging transactions".

The United Nations (UN) Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has released another alarming report on climate change.

Climate experts have warned that we have less than three years to stop the increasing greenhouse gas emissions and less than a decade to cut them almost in half to secure a "liveable future." The IPCC says this can still be accomplished, but current policies will see that possibility slip away if allowed to continue. The new 2,800-page report marks the third installment of the IPCC's Sixth Assessment Report.

The Space Launch System (SLS) and Orion are currently undergoing a wet dress rehearsal.

NASA confirmed that four lightning strikes landed within the perimeter of Launch Pad 39B at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC), where the spacecraft was executing operations for its wet dress rehearsal. The rocket and spacecraft stacked atop it are undergoing tests to prepare for the upcoming Artemis I mission to the moon. Three strikes were low intensity and struck lightning tower two, while a fourth, higher intensity strike struck tower one.

Ukraine intelligence that pies given to Russian soldiers by local Ukrainians have killed at least two Russian troops and have injured 28 more.

Ukraine's Ministry of Defence Intelligence announced on Saturday that local residents of the Izium district that's located in the Kharkiv region, have "treated" Russian soldiers with poisoned pies. "As a result, two occupiers died at once, another 28 were taken to the intensive care unit. Their current state is being clarified."

A US defense official has revealed that the US secretly tested a powerful hypersonic missile in mid-March and kept it a secret from Russia to avoid escalating tensions.

According to a report from CNN, the defense officials familiar with the matter said that the US tested the Hypersonic Air-breathing Weapon Concept (HAWC) from a B-52 bomber at a location on the West Coast of the US. The HAWC missile is designed to compress incoming air that is then mixed with hydrocarbon fuel and ignited. The ignited missile is then propelled forward at even greater speeds than it was already traveling, reaching up to five times the speed of sound (Mach 5).

The video appears to show the use of the Starstreak high-velocity missile system, which was confirmed by the U.K. Ministry of Defence to The London Times. The helicopter is struck by three projectiles, characteristic of the payload fired by the Starstreak missile system. Starstreak is a man-portable air-defense system (MANPADS) developed by Thales Air Defense and has been in use since 1997.

Starstreak has a range of four miles (6.4 kilometers) and can fire missiles that reach velocities exceeding Mach 4, making it the fastest short-distance missile on Earth. The missile carries two motors, the first of which burns out before exiting the tube it is fired from to protect the operator, while the second ignites once the missile travels approximately 13 feet (4 meters).

The World Health Organization (WHO) tightened its guidelines on air quality roughly six months ago, and has now released a new update on its Air Pollution Data Portal.

The WHO estimates that 99% of the global population is experiencing higher risks of heart disease, stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cancer, and pneumonia, due to current air pollution levels. Drawing on data from over 6,000 municipalities, the WHO has found air quality is poorest in the eastern Mediterranean and Southeast Asia regions, with Africa following.

The project has been unveiled by ICON, a 3D printing construction company based out of Texas.

Named House Zero, the 3D-printed home is located in Austin, Texas, covering over 2,000 square feet. It has three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and an attached dwelling with an additional bedroom and bath. To build the house's walls, ICON used its proprietary cementitious-based material, "Lavacrete," with steel to reinforce the structure and insulation.

NASA has announced that it has broken two records on the surface of Mars with its newest Mars rover called Perseverance.

According to NASA JPL, the Perseverance rover has recently broken two records, the first record being the longest drive in a single solar day, and the second being the longest AutoNav drive. The space agency announced that Perseverance has broken the previous record of 748 feet set by the Opportunity rover in March 2005. Now, Perseverance holds the record by recently completing a drive of 803 feet.

NASA also announced that Perseverance has broken its own record for the longest AutoNav drive, which is the rover's self-driving function. As you can probably imagine, Perseverance's AutoNav function allows for the rover to drive across the Martian surface autonomously using 3D maps and advanced software that maps any potential obstacles around Perseverance. With autonomous driving, Perseverance can move 393 feet in an hour.

Shanghai is currently facing one of its most severe waves of COVID-19 as Chinese health officials have reported record numbers of new cases following an outbreak of the Omicron variant.

The robot dog seen in the above video is barking out COVID-19-related announcements to residents, most likely informing them that they must stay within their homes at all times, with Reuters reporting that Chinese residents in the affected area aren't even allowed to leave their home to take their garbage out. Reports indicate that Shanghai has recorded less than 8,000 asymptomatic COVID-19 cases and 438 symptomatic cases as of April 3.
