Dust: An Elysian Tail announced for Nintendo Switch debut
The Nintendo Switch will soon get another critically acclaimed indie title, introducing Dust: An Elysian Tail, the Nintendo Switch version. In celebration of this announcement a brand new trailer has been released.
Dust: An Elysian Tail is developed by Humble Hearts and was originally released back in May of 2013. Since then the title has gotten quite the reputation for solid reviews, looking towards the listing on Steam as an example, we can see that with the 11,000+ reviews the game has gotten an "Overwhelmingly Positive" status. Additionally, in the comment section of the Nintendo Switch trailer located above, many players that have already played the game are strongly recommending it to anyone that hasn't.
Diving into the storyline of the title now, players will be immersing themselves in a gorgeous hand-painted world that will take them on a quest for the protagonists true identity. According to the description of the game, players will be at liberty to an easy to learn but difficult to master combat system. Users will be accompanied by "the mythical Blade of Ahrah, capable of turning its wielder into an unstoppable force of nature, and the blade's diminutive guardian, Fidget" Dust: An Elysian Tail will be released on the Nintendo Switch on September 10th, if you are interested in picking up the title, visit the official Nintendo Switch listing here.

CyGames releases PS4 exclusive Project Awakening trailer
CyGames is initially a mobile games developer but now has announced a brand new PS4 exclusive game titled Project Awakening. A new trailer has been released and from a prominently a mobile games developer we could have quite a promising title on our hands.
Diving straight into the trailer, we are introduced to a world that seems much like Monster Hunter and even has some resemblance to Shadow of Colossus enemy wise. Narration wise, we seem to be beginning our story off at the end of the "era of never-ending peace" and that "It's time for we wolves of war to awaken..." As there really isn't any context for what the RPG is going to be like, my personal synopsis from the trailer is that "the wolves" are a group of what seems to be knights that are trained to take down these massive colossal beasts.
Looking towards the crescent on the shield, we can see a sword going through a dragon, which I think that would suggest that this would be the symbol of beast slaying. I think that this would reinforce my theory towards the character we see in the trailer being apart of the group of "wolves." Combat wise, we see fast paced, dodge, roll, kiting boss like fighting. When the beast connects with our hero the substantial knock back from the sheer power can be seen while he blocks, but when he doesn't he is hurdled through the air, quite a interesting mechanic. The trailer ends with our hero seeing the silhouettes of much larger enemies in the distance, these enemies are so big that it can be assumed that we are going to need much more than just a sword to bring them down.

TotalBiscuit themed cosmetic pack released for StarCraft II
Blizzard have honored the sad passing of John "TotalBiscuit" Bain with a brand new cosmetic pack for StarCraft II, the company has also decided that all proceeds from this cosmetic pack will go straight to the Bain family.
Blizzard has taken to their StarCraft website to announce the new cosmetic pack titled "John's Announcer Pack", the pack comes at a very good time for the Bain family as the tragic passing of John has not only hit hard towards the family emotionally, but also financially. Genna Bain, John Bain's wife recently posted to Twitter the costs of the bills for John's tragic passing, the numbers were honestly quite shocking.
Since TotalBiscuit was quite a predominate figure in the StarCraft II community, Blizzard has decided that "100% of the funds received from the sale of these items will go directly to Genna and their son, Orion. In the wake of a tragic loss, it is our way of saying thank you to the Bain family for all they've done for StarCraft II." This commemorative bundle is a limited-time offer and will be available until December 31st or once it sells out. For more information, visit the StarCraft II website here.

PUBG's upcoming snow map 'Dihor Otok' arrives in the winter
PUBG Corp is about to make the end of 2018 a big one for PUBG, with the introduction of a new snow map dubbed Dihor Otok. A new image of the snow map has dropped on Reddit, with multiple images of Dihor Otok to ogle over.
Dihor Otok looks to be an 8x8km map with landmass that should measure 6x6km which will make it bigger than Sanhok (which is 4x4km) but smaller than the two previous maps in Erangel and Miramar. The new map wasn't the only thing that surfaced on Reddit, with a big tease of a night mode coming to PUBG that will really change the gameplay of the OG battle royale champion.
A new game mode for PUBG also made the rumor pile, with PUBG Corp. taking a leaf from DICE's book with the mode teased as Conquest. The original post on Reddit from 'allthenewsisgoodnews' explains that Conquest is "domination game mode in call of duty where you need to capture a certain area". C4 is also coming to PUBG according to these rumors, while there will be the introduction of a Beetle that you can drive around in.

Blizzard adds 6 more teams to the Overwatch League
The Overwatch League has just added an additional 6 teams to their roster, bringing the total number of teams to 20, right before the exciting new 2019 championship kicks off.
A post on the official Overwatch League website explains the change, with Blizzard announcing that the 6 new teams come from all across the world: Chengdu, Hangzhou, Paris, Toronto, Vancouver, and Washington, D.C. and all will be fighting against each other for the win in the 2019 Overwatch League championship.
CEO of Activision Blizzard Esports Leagues, Pete Vlastelica, explains: "We just capped an amazing inaugural Overwatch League season, crowning our first-ever champion in front of a sold-out crowd of dedicated and passionate fans. Now, as we look forward to the 2019 season and beyond, we're adding eight new teams that will help us grow our league in important regions around the globe. We know that the difference between a good league and a great league is its owners, and we set a high bar for our first season with the caliber of ownership groups. Every one of these expansion franchises cleared that bar and will make our league even better".

GeForce 399.24 driver ready for Shadow of the Tomb Raider
NVIDIA has just released its fresh new GeForce Game Ready 399.24 WHQL drivers, which weigh in at just under 500MB (this is getting ridiculous) and they include optimizations for some of the latest games that are about to hit.
The new GeForce 399.24 drivers have optimizations for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout open beta, and Assetto Corsa Competizione early access. Some of these games are out (COD: Black Ops 4 Blackout open beta) while Shadow of the Tomb Raider is out on September 14 (if you pre-ordered the game) and Assetto Corsa Competizione that slides into Steam Early Access on September 12.
You can download the new NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready 399.24 WHQL drivers here.

Spider-Man on PS4 is the fastest-selling Marvel game EVER
Spider-Man is already breaking records for both Marvel and Sony, with the new PS4 exclusive becoming the fastest-selling game of 2018 in the UK, and the fastest-selling Marvel-branded game in history.
The previous record holder for the fastest-selling Marvel-branded game was LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, but Spider-Man has demolished that. Spider-Man is also the fastest-selling individual format game since the PS4 version of Call of Duty: WWII, which was released in November 2017. Spider-Man has had mostly positive reviews since its release a few days ago, with some great differences between the PS4 Pro and normal PS4 version.
If you're going to pick up Spider-Man and a PS4 at the same time, I'd urge you to check out Digital Foundry's break down comparison between the PS4 and PS4 Pro versions of Spider-Man. The PS4 Pro version of Spider-Man is something truly special, with a big upgrade in graphical fidelity and smoothness compared to the not-so-beefy normal PS4.

EA DICE bans 'white man', 'DLC' from Battlefield V chat
DICE is in a very weird spot right now regarding the Battlefield V open beta, with Reddit users noticing that the developer has censored a bunch of words from the game and you'll be surprised at what words EA and DICE have put on the chopping block.
There are certain words and numbers banned from the in-game chat of Battlefield V, with the worst of them being 'DLC' and '9900K'. People are tweeting David Sirland, the Multiplayer Producer on Battlefield V that "It's a game series for adults, full of swearing in vo and you can't even write "crap, they are attacking B". It's silly, the entire filter, especially if you can't turn it off". This is very true, you should be able to disable the filter as it's ridiculous.
While there might be censorship on words/phrases/numbers like 'DLC' and 'crap', other words get thrown into the mix including 'jew', 'jewish', 'doofus', 'huge bowl', and 'he is hit'. Hell, you can't even write 'so does' or 'pleb'. The censoring system is broken, but it's not like it's an algorithm... these words would've been chosen and added to a profanity filter by EA DICE.

New Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice trailer full of stylish combat
From Software's new hack-and-slash survival game Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice gets fresh gameplay footage at Tokyo Game Show 2018.
In many ways Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice uses the familiar Dark Souls formula: it has hulking bosses, dodge mechanics, and strong emphasis on timing and reaction skills. But it's also quite new and sets it apart from From Software's magnum opus trilogy, especially with its combat. This time around combat is much more fluid, and the one-armed Wolf has a more feline and adept grace not typically found in other Soulsborne games. The latest TGS 2018 trailer is another pure example of this refinement.
The game, which actually started off as Tenchu and morphed into something bigger, is faster and more stylish than its predecessors. The Wolf is nimble and agile in everything he does, from swinging up to rooftops with a grappling hook to slicing foes with devastating combos. The game honestly reminds me of a hybrid of Nioh's suave combat with Dark Souls-style imagery and Bloodborne's eeriness.

Fortnite mobile racks up 15 million downloads in 21 days
Fortnite is a monster that shows no signs of slowing down any time soon, and it's new beta release on Android is only beefing up total engagement figures.
For big service games like Fortnite, metrics like player downloads and total active users are incredibly important. Epic Games hasn't had to worry about numbers dropping, though: in a recent blog post it revealed Fortnite on Android has been downloaded 15 million times on Android in just three weeks time.
Bear in mind this is just the beta test. Once the full game rolls out to everyone we should see huge downloads likely followed by even bigger monetization. The game's massive accessibility coupled with its exclusive invite-only phase pretty much means anyone who plays on console will play on mobile.

Yakuza devs' new game Judge Eyes is a detective thriller
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios fulfilled its promise to reveal a new IP at Tokyo Game Show 2018: introducing Judge Eyes (aka Project Judge), a new "courtroom thriller" that sports fast-paced combat.
In Project Judge (known Judge Eyes: Shinigami no Yuigon in Japan) you play as private detective Takayuki Yagami in his widening investigation to catch a serial killer across Tokyo. The game features blitz-style combat that seems a bit faster than Yakuza games, but the major departure is the game's new sleuthing mechanics. As Yagami players can tail targets, pick locks, put on disguises to infiltrate areas, and collect evidence or clues with photos, unlocking computers, and a ton of other gumshoe activities. Some of the chase scenes are done through QTEs.
"Enhancing the game's position as a courtroom thriller and embodying the feeling of playing a detective, players will need to utilize key investigative skills in conjunction with unique gameplay features to unveil the truths hidden at the core of Project JUDGE's plot," reads a description of the game, as translated by DualShockers.

Snake voice actor talks about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
The voice actor for the famous video game character Snake, from the Metal Gear Solid series has revealed in a recent interview that no new codecs have been recorded for Snakes implication into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
David Hayter, the voice behind Konami's Snake has discussed through an interview the recent news of Snake coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. From the interview, Hayter said "I'm probably not supposed to say anything, but they haven't recorded any more codecs yet, and I have offered to Nintendo that I would certainly do that if they wanted to. I would love to that for all of the characters... I would love to do more, and we might. Who knows. But it's very cool that Snake is going to be in the game. That's awesome for the fans."
This means that no new voice lines have been recorded for Snake and that players should now expect the same voice lines. Halo 5: Guardians could be making its way to the PC
Halo hasn't been on the PC for a very long time - 11 years now, but it looks like Microsoft could be changing course with the game and offering argurably it's largest IP onto the best gaming platform in the world: PC.
The news is coming from a listong on Amazon UK which includes refreshed box art that says "Xbox One Console Exclusive", which is a departure from the usual "Xbox One Exclusive". Losing the keyword "exclusive" could mean that Microsoft is aiming to release Halo 5: Guardians on the PC. Hopefully this is just the start, as Halo: Master Chief Collection being released on the PC would have gamers losing their minds.
The small change in wording is significant, as "Only On Xbox One" or "Xbox One Exclusive" is very, very different to "Xbox One Console Exclusive". Microsoft seems to be changing its marketing stance, where the Xbox is the only console in the world with Halo... opening the door for Halo on the PC. If Microsoft were to announce Halo 5: Guardians on the PC later this year, it would really change things up for the company.
