Doom Eternal has been delayed from its original November launch to March 2020, id Software today announced.

id confirms Doom Eternal has been delayed to March 20, 2020 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The Switch version doesn't yet have a targeted release date, but it'll launch after other systems. The studio says the four-month delay will ensure higher quality and polish for the game on all platforms. id is offering Doom 64 free as a consolation, but only if you pre-order Doom Eternal.

"Throughout the development of DOOM Eternal, our goal has been to deliver a game that exceeds your greatest expectations across the board," id said in a statement.

PlayStation 5 games could end up spanning multiple BD-XL discs and pack serious content, as Sony today confirmed PS5 games will ship on 100GB Blu-ray discs.

As we predicted, PlayStation games will ship on two separate SKUs once the PS5 rolls out in holiday 2020: the dual-layer 50GB Blu-rays for the PS4, and 100GB capacity BDXL discs on the PS5. Although the generations will overlap, Sony plans to support the PS4 well into 2022. Since the PS5 is backward compatible with all PS4 games we'll likely see two variants of every PS game out on the market.

According to a new info blowout at Wired, PlayStation 5 games will be packed onto bigger BDXL Blu-ray discs to give developers more room for their titles. The PS5 will still require users to install games via an optical 4K UHD drive, but this process will be speedier thanks to the SSD.

Sony's new ultra-powerful next-gen PlayStation 5 console is coming in holiday 2020, Sony today confirmed.

"Today I'm proud to share that our next-generation console will be called PlayStation 5, and we'll be launching in time for Holiday 2020," Sony Interactive President Jim Ryan today announced. Microsoft's next-generation Xbox console, codenamed Project Scarlett, will likewise release holiday 2020. The console wars are far from over.

According to inside sources, the PS5 is a true generational leap ahead of current console tech. The system leverages AMD's new potent Zen 2 CPU and Navi GPU tech to deliver up to 120FPS, 8K graphics, dedicated ray-tracing lighting,and is outfitted with a potent PCIe 4.0 SSD to massively accelerate gameplay. Rumor has it the PS5's GPU is nearly as fast as an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2080 GPU to deliver high-end 4K gaming and 1080p with higher FPS.

New job listings from Avalanche Studios have indicated that the development studio behind the RAGE and Just Cause franchise are gearing up for a mega-sized title.

According to the listings on their website, Avalanche Studios are looking for a "Build Engineer" for the the studios New York based team. The position requires knowledge in "building and managing a large and complex code base for diverse platforms as well as enormous amounts of data." The listing also mentions that applicants need to have "in depth knowledge of game engine architectures and next generation console architectures and future architectural trends."

It seems that Avalanche Studios are planning on taking full advantage of the coming next-gen consoles and the massive hardware upgrade that will arrive with him. By doing this, the studio plans on building what seems to be a massive game and to back up this claim GamesRadar managed to find two more listing that specifically ask for applicants who have knowledge on next-gen engines.

The official Red Band trailer has been released for the upcoming sequel to Zombieland, Zombieland: DOUBLE TAP. Somehow Bill Murray is alive?

Zombieland: DOUBLE TAP will bring artistic value back into dismembering zombies in the most glorious ways possible. Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin, and Emma Stone will be returning as Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita and Little Rock, respectively. The new movie will pit the characters against new and improved zombies while also picking up some new survivors along the way.

In the above trailer we get a little cameo part from Bill Murray, who should be noted, died to a accidental gun shot wound in the chest. Since Murray is died in the first movie, we can assume that this cameo role takes place before the events of the first movie which could mean that this sequel could show off a bit more about how the zombies came about before taking over everything the characters know and love. This week Instagram users will say goodbye to the 'following' tab feature that allows you to keep tabs on your followers activity.

According to a new report out of Buzzfeed News, Instagram is removing their "Following" tab that is found behind the heart icon at the bottom right of the user-interface. If you are unaware of what the "Following" tab is, don't be alarmed as its definitely one of Instagram's lesser-known features. The "Following" tab allows for users to see the activity of the users they are following; e.g what photos they are liking and what other Instagram accounts they have decided to follow.

Instagram's Vishal Shah spoke out about the decision and said "People didn't always know that their activity is surfacing. So you have a case where it's not serving the use case you built if for, but it's also causing people to be surprised when their activity is showing up." In conclusion, Shah said that "Simplicity was the driving factor."

Back in January, China launched their Chang'e-4 spacecraft to the dark side of the moon. Now that spacecraft, and the potential life it contains has sprouted leaves.

China's Chang'e-4 spacecraft housed six life forms on the lunar surface: potato seeds, cotton seeds, rapeseeds, yeast, fruit fly eggs and Arabidopsis thaliana, a common weed. Also aboard the spacecraft was a mini-biosphere called the Lunar Micro Ecosystem (LME). This biosphere re-created Earth-like conditions excluding factors such as micro-gravity and cosmic radiation.

All of the other seeds died besides the cotton, and according to a new 3D reconstruction, the cotton planet grew not one but two leaves before it also died due to cold temperatures. The cotton leaves lasted about two weeks before falling into their cold fate, and from these findings China plans to continue studying how various life forms might be able to survive on the moon.

A new research team who was observing Saturn has found 20 more moons orbiting the planet, bringing the total number of moons circling Saturn to 82, surpassing Jupiters 79.

The research team led by Carnegie's Scott S. Sheppard observed 20 new moons, each of them are about five kilometers in diameter. 17 of the moons obit the planet backwards, meaning that their obital rotation is backwards when compared to the way the planet is spinning. The remaining three moons orbit with Saturn in the same direction.

The new moons were discovered using the Sabaru telescope atop Mauna Kea in Hawaii. Scott Sheppard said that "Using some of the largest telescopes in the world, we are now completing the inventory of small moons around the giant planets. They play a crucial role in helping us determine how our Solar System's planets formed and evolved." Last year when Sheppard and his team discovered 12 new moons orbiting Jupiter they hosted and online naming contest for 5 of them, they will be doing the same thing for Saturn's newly found moons.

Soon Tesla owners will be able to customize their horn sound, with the possibility of also being able to upload their own audio file and use that for a horn.

Tesla Motors owner, Elon Musk took to Twitter yesterday to announce that "Customized horn & movement sounds" are soon to be "coming to Teslas". One of the sounds that Musk teased was "coconuts being one, of course" which seems to be reference to the Monty Python and Arthur's entrance on his imaginary horse. (video located below).

Musk also said that he "will consider" allowing Tesla owners to upload their own audio files to use as horn sounds. While that sounds like a great idea at first, Tesla could have potential trouble with some countries horn standard laws and how that falls under road-safety guidelines. There is also always the potential of Tesla owners changing their horn sounds to blast vulgar language, and while that would certainly be amusing to hear walking down the street, it wouldn't provide necessary road utility.

California has passed a new law that will see the banning of creating and distributing deepfake pornography videos of persons who have not consented to the video being made.

According to a study, 96% of deepfake videos found online come under the pornographic category and with more and more deepfake pornographic videos being released, California has decided to put in place some new laws to protect people. This new law will see statutory damages ranging between $1,500 and $30,000, and if malice is demonstrated throughout the video creation, damages can rise to $150,000.

With laws now in place, apps such as Fake App which allowed users to create their own deepfake porn video and post it onto Twitter, Facebook and Reddit will be stopped in their tracks. Fake App was so simple to use that fake porn videos of high profile people such as Daisy Ridley, Gal Gadot, Emma Watson, Jessica Alba circled the internet. Back in July, the House of Representatives considered federal measures to ban the distribution of deepfake videos to protect the legitimacy of the upcoming election.

AMD has released its new Radeon Adrenalin Edition 19.10.1 drivers, and with it comes support for the freshly-announced Radeon RX 5500 series graphics cards.

Can you believe World of Warcraft has been out for 15 years now? I still remember losing friends to the game, as they sunk 16 hours a day into it and wouldn't play Call of Duty and Call of Duty: United Offensive in my pro teams here in Australia.

15 years! Add on top of that the mega successful release of World of Warcraft Classic, and now Blizzard have unveiled a new statue that celebrates the 15-year milestone of the original World of Warcraft. The awesome Ragnaros statue not only looks awesome, but he was one of the best raid bosses in the original WoW.

Blizzard offered up the World of Warcraft 15th Anniversary Collector's Edition on its website, but it quickly sold out (you're not surprised). The kit cost $100 and included a bunch of gear, starting with the 10+ inch Firelord statue, an Onyxia pin, Map of Azeroth mouse pad, fine art prints, 30 days of game time, and two Alabaster mounts.

EA is aware of server issues it was experiencing across its games, with the company tweeting out: "We are aware of connectivity problems with our games. We'll keep you up to date on progress here. Thanks for your reports".

The server issues were affecting some of the largest games in the world including Apex Legends, FIFA 20, and Battlefield V. EA hasn't detailed the server issues, but Apex Legends players were reporting errors with error code 100 or 103, which stopped them from signing into their EA accounts -- which you know, stops them from playing Apex Legends.

I do like some of the reply tweets to EA's original tweet, with "MrFUTAnalyser (Billy)" tweeting "Theres been connectivity problems for a few years" and right under that "Jonas" with something a little more apocalyptic in "Hope the servers blow up so they have to buy new ones". Wow, guys.

CAPCOM is continuing to see mega success in Monster Hunter World, with the company announcing that physical and digital shipments of the game have now passed 14 million units.

Hell, when Monster Hunter World reached 7.5 million sales back in March 2018 it was CAPCOM's best-selling title of all time. In the 18 months after that, Monster Hunter World has doubled its sales through to 14 million units and should only continue to do so.

The new Iceborne expansion launched last month on consoles and has shipped over 2.5 million units so far, and that's without it even hitting the PC. Monster Hunter World's new Iceborne expansion drops on the PC in January 2020, so we should see how sales are a few months after that and compare.

Activision and Infinity Ward have enabled the full hype train for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as we get into the final weeks before its big launch, with a new launch trailer released. Check it out:

The new trailer is action-packed, with plenty of 'splosions, fights, helicopters crashing and Metallica's "Enter Sandman" playing over top. I definitely feel like this isn't like the last few releases of Call of Duty, and definitely feels like what we loved from years ago. It also looks far better than previous COD titles, something I want to play with RTX enabled.

As for the story of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, this will bring you up to date: "When the world is threatened, you'll have to get your hands dirty so the world stays clean. In a desperate mission, Captain Price and the SAS will partner alongside the CIA and the Urzikstani Liberation Force to retrieve stolen chemical weapons. The heart-racing fight will take you from London to the Middle East and other global locations, as this joint task force battles to stop full-scale global war. Lines will be drawn, your resolve will be tested, and the world will look to you to do what needs to be done".

Oh, you thought you had to do mining in Minecraft in order to beat the game? Yeah, nah -- you don't need to do anything of the sort. Check out this video on how to beat Minecraft, without any actual mining.

YouTuber 'Hedgey' ignored all the cues to actually mine anything in Minecraft to beat the final dragon at the end of the game, all without mining a single piece of wood or rock. Hedgey had to find some supplies without mining, which means there would've been lots of time exploring.

You don't need to mine in Minecraft in order to be well-equipped, something that is on show here as Hedgey using the dead bodies of Creepers to collect and craft TNT. This provided a weapon against enemies, and used to place explosives in the right places -- but it's nowhere near the same as using the crafty pickaxe.

8chan was gone, but it looks like it is about to return and possibly be re-branded into 8kun -- according to the official Twitter account of 8chan. Check out this tweet, with the video having 277,000 views at the time of writing:

The same day it released PS4 remote play on all Android devices, Sony blocks PS4 Facebook sharing.

Sony has mysteriously disabled PS4 media sharing on Facebook. Users can no longer link their PSN and Facebook accounts together, nor can they share screenshots, video clips, or even find their Facebook friends on the PlayStation Network.

PS4 media sharing is now only available via Twitter and YouTube, making game and activity visibility quite limited. Removing Facebook as one of the sharing mediums will significantly impact the free organic promotion and advertisement of key first-party games, especially when big hits like Death Stranding roll out in November. It's possible Facebook changed its terms of service, or Sony was worried about possible privacy issues arising from real-life information being shared.
