The upcoming Mafia Definitive Edition remake is being pushed back a month to September 25 in order to ensure the game looks and plays as good as possible, developer Hangar 13 today announced.

There's remakes, and then there's the Mafia Definitive Edition. Hangar 13 has completely revitalized the 2002 PS2 original with mindblowing visuals and effects befit of modern platforms, complete with new animations, higher-end textures, and an improved physics system.

It looks so impressive that it could be a next-gen PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X game. But this kind of quality comes at a cost, and sometimes delays a part of the process, especially when your work is being interrupted by a global pandemic.

Halo 3 is coming to the Master Chief Collection on PC next week on July 14, 2020, Microsoft today announced.

On July 14, the Master Chief Collection gets one step closer to full completion on PC. Armed with 24 multiplayer maps, fully remastered graphics, a sprawling campaign (with a brand new jetpack skull), and higher-end PC optimizations like uncapped frame rates and 4K 60FPS, Halo 3 scratches that nostalgia itch while also giving PC players their first chance to jump in and finish the fight. Full cross-play between Steam and Windows Store buyers ensures there's also someone to play with or play against.

Halo 3 also launches with the hugely anticipated Forge mode, which of course needs no introduction. Expect tons of customs chicanery on a level we've never seen before. Forge is also coming to Halo: Reach and Halo 2: Anniversary, too. Theater is also dropping so you can capture your highlights.

You might not have heard about Basemark, but you've surely experienced some of its founders effects on the gaming and tech industry. Tero Sarkkinen, founder and chairman of Basemark, used to run the Futuremark sales and marketing -- Futuremark, you know the gigantic benchmark company.

Well, Sarkkinen has been hard at work with his new journey in Basemark, with the startup raising $7.9 million in funding to continue its advancements in graphics software for autonomous vehicles. ETF Partners was the sole partner in the funding round, with $7.9 million raised.

The legend himself, Tero Sarkkinen -- Basemark founder and chairman, explains: "We are thrilled to have ETF Partners on board. Over the years we have worked hard on building a category-defining product and establishing strong international relationships across the automotive industry. This new capital injection will enable us to hit the gas and take us to the next level".

The United States is seeing a resurgence of the coronavirus, and now three major medical groups have issued at statement o the public about what they can do to battle the coronavirus.

An open letter released to the public by the American Medical Association, the American Hospital Association, and American Nurses Association has expressed to the public that as states began to reopen, people abandoned some of the steps taken that were made to made progress. Here's what the statement said, "But in the weeks since states began reopening, some of the steps that were critical to the progress we made were too quickly abandoned. And we are now watching in real-time as a dramatic uptick in COVID-19 cases is erasing our hard-won gains."

The statement goes onto say that the three groups are urging the American public to take the necessary and simple steps to start curbing the virus once again. "This is why as physicians, nurses, hospital and health system leaders, researchers and public health experts, we are urging the American public to take the simple steps we know will help stop the spread of the virus: wearing a face mask, maintaining physical distancing, and washing hands." The letter also touches on Dr. Fauci mentioning that if drastic change isn't made across the nation that we could see 100,000 new coronavirus cases each day if citizens don't take the correct precautions.

We have some just-leaked rumored specs on NVIDIA's purported GeForce RTX 3070 Ti and GeForce RTX 3070 graphics cards, with some interesting specs on what should be two very popular cards in the sub $500 market when they launch later this year.

The new leaks are coming from Kopite7kimi on Twitter, who tweeted out that the RTX 3070 (SUPER or Ti) should feature the GA104-400 GPU, but so too will the RTX 3070. The big difference here according to these leaks is that the higher-end GeForce RTX 3070 Ti has 8GB of GDDR6X memory, while the regular GeForce RTX 3070 will reportedly have GDDR6 -- the difference there is the X.

NVIDIA will reportedly use 3072 CUDA cores on the GA104-300 GPU inside of the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, knocking it down to 2944 CUDA cores on the regular GeForce RTX 3070 according to this new rumor. Both cards would offer 512GB/sec of memory bandwidth.

ASUS has experienced a huge uptick in gaming laptop sales in the month of April 2020, right in the middle of the on-going COVID-19 pandemic worldwide.

ASUS and ROG (Republic of Gamers) gaming laptops represent close to 25% of ASUS laptop sales in April 2020, where surprisingly the higher-end ROG models with GeForce RTX graphics being the most popular, and best-selling laptops in the ASUS lineup. ASUS and ROG gaming laptops now command 22.6% of the global market share of laptops.

The company has had some kick ass laptops out this year, unveiling the world's first gaming laptop with a super-insane 300Hz display in the ROG Zephyrus S GX701. There are countless other superb gaming laptops that ASUS has in its arsenal -- and things are only going to get better towards the end of 2020 and into 2021 with the next-gen Radeon and GeForce graphics cards launching.

I don't think this has ever happened, and seems to be the first time it might have happened -- a pro Rocket League player was shocked by lightning through her PS4 controller.

Rocket League streamer Karma was streaming commentary for a 1v1 Salt Mine II tournament -- but not playing the game, and was shocked through her PlayStation 4 controller and the lightning bolt didn't even hit her house. The lightning struck her neighbor's house, but transferred through to her house and into her controller.

Karma said it "somehow hit me -- the controller sparked" with "really big sparks". Scary! She said that her hands were sore for two afterwards, but with any event like this there are also mental scars from it, too.

It's official: Kanye West has said that he is "running for president of the United States" in the upcoming 2020 election. Not just that, but he has the "full support" of Tesla Motors and SpaceX founder Elon Musk.

The announcement of his run for president comes less than 72 hours after he tweeted a picture with Musk, tweeting "When you go to your boys house and you're both wearing orange". Orange Man Bad? It's not funny anymore, try different jokes, I guess.

It looks like Intel is about to release another CPU into its Core i9 family of processors, with TUM_APISAK noticing a new Core i9-10850K processor in the Geekbench database.

Intel's new purported Core i9-10850K processor features 200MHz lower stock clocks than the Core i9-10900K, the same 5.20GHz Turbo Boost Max 3.0 clocks, and a Thermal Velocity Boost (TVB) that we don't know about just yet.

We might even see the Core i9-10850K processor without a TVB at all, and it could be aimed at OEMs to throw into pre-build PCs. This way, OEMs aren't needing to worry about keeping the ridiculous heat from the Core i9-10900K -- especially if it has virtually the same performance as the 10900K.

We know that Microsoft's next-gen Xbox Series X console will be running Dirt 5 at 120FPS, but now the developer has confirmed that the PlayStation 5 version of the game will also have a 120FPS option.

In a recent interview with Dirt 5's development director Rob Karp with the Official PlayStation Magazine UK, who said: "The power of the PS5 also means that we will have an option for 120fps, which is very exciting for the racers who know that every frame counts".

It's not just the new horsepower in Sony's new PlayStation 5 console that gets used, the new DualSense controller is getting a work out, too. Karp added that "the DualSense is great. When we got the tech demo up and running the whole studio came around and everyone wanted a go. It offers something new and unique and we felt it fits really well for racing, especially for a game with such diversity of content and cars".

Microsoft finally confirms its big next-gen Xbox Series X games showcase for late July, complete with actual Halo: Infinite gameplay footage.

The big first-party next-gen Xbox games extravaganza is set for July 23 at 9AM PST/12PM EST, Microsoft today announced. The event will be the big proving point for the world's most powerful console and its monstrous 12TFLOP Navi RDNA 2 GPU. Microsoft has spent lots of marketing dollars hyping up the Xbox Series X, and now it's time to prove what the console is capable of. Expect massive gameplay showcases and first-party reveals during the event, including full-on announcements of in-development titles as well as tech demos of the Xbox Series X's capabilities.

Microsoft has been incredibly transparent with the Xbox Series X's technology, cooling, software architectures, and overall functionality. But until now we haven't really seen any games running on the system. Later this month we'll not only see next-gen gameplay, but Halo: Infinite gameplay running on its new Slipspace Engine that's been specifically optimized for the Series X.

Microsoft could become the new owner of WB Games IPs and studios, and oversee the development of games in the Mortal Kombat, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Batman franchises.

Microsoft has reportedly joined EA, Activision-Blizzard, and Take-Two Interactive as bidders for Warner Bros. gaming division, sources tell The Information.

The development is actually quite substantial for Microsoft's Xbox gaming branch, and would significantly bolster the company's lineup of franchises and hit software. AT&T, the owners of Warner Bros. properties like WB Games, are said to sell the gaming segment to help offset some of its current debts.

It's officially happening: Shadow Warrior 3 is set to release in 2021 on consoles and PC, complete with a bunch of new additions, enemies, mechanics and more.

Today Devolver Digital and Flying Wild Hog announced Shadow Warrior 3 in the best way possible: With a fourth wall-breaking trailer with maximum Wang. The new sequel keeps the same authentic parkour-style first-person shoot-and-slash combat complete with quips, middle fingers, and raucous insults. But this time around Wang has some new tricks up his sleeves, including a grappling hook that's straight out of Link's arsenal. The hook will deliver some exciting new opportunities for traversal and swing-and-gun action.

Shadow Warrior 3 takes place in a kind of Neo-Japan that blends high-tech with ancient Japanese folklore. Wang will have special powers like a nifty kamehameha-like attack, and there's plenty of yokai lifted right out of old myths.

Ubisoft follows Microsoft's playbook and promises to give you a free game just from watching its new E3-style digital show.

Today Ubisoft confirmed more details about its big digital Ubisoft Forward showcase, and have tossed in a free game to boot. If you sign in any time between when the show starts at 12PM PST / 3PM EST and ends at 12:45PM PST / 3:45PM EST, you'll get a free copy of Watch Dogs 2. Back in 2016, I marked Watch Dogs 2 as my game of the year and said it's something everyone should play. Now everyone can actually play it.

The 45-minute live stream will highlight everything Ubisoft is currently working on. The company plans to ship four major AAA games this fiscal year, but we only know about three of them: Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion, and Rainbow Six Quarantine. The mystery game should be Far Cry 6.

The mysterious Diablo II Resurrected remaster could be revealed in late 2020, sources tell ActuGaming's Julien Blary.

Diablo II just turned 20 years old and Blizzard didn't really do much to celebrate it. There was no big in-game event, no surprise expansion, no anticipated Diablo II Resurrected remaster. The company missed a big opportunity to underline a rare 20th anniversary event, but new reports say Blizzard is saving an announcement for late 2020.

Actu Gaming's Julien Blary, who originally broke the Diablo II Resurrected news, now says progress on the nebulous remaster is accelerating at Blizzard. A reveal could be slated for 2020's end and a full-on release could follow in 2021 or thereabouts.

Over the weekend, China reported on a new disease that seems to be emerging in Inner Mongolia, and that new disease is the bubonic plague.

Yes, that's right, it isn't another case of coronavirus, or an uptick in COVID-19 cases, but instead, the bubonic plague. According to the statement on the local health commission's website, a hospital located in northern China's Inner Mongolia has a suspected case of bubonic plague.

In response to this case of the bubonic plague, Bloomberg reports a third-level warning alert has been issued this past Saturday and that the warning level will extend to the end of the year. Human-to-human transmission of the infection is completely possible, which is why the Bayannaoer health commission has publicly issued a warning for everyone to take precautions. If you know anything about space, you would most likely know that the Hubble Space Telescope is one of the best instruments humans have at capturing the beauty of space.

The galaxy we are looking at is named NGC 2275, and from the image we can see that this spiral galaxy has a decent amount of young stars around its outer edge.

NASA describes the galaxy as having a "feathery nature", and points out that at the center of the galaxy there virtually no star formation, indicating that the galaxy is somewhat on the younger side. This gorgeous galaxy is located 61 million light-years away from Earth, which no doubt increases the impressiveness of Hubble's image capturing capabilities. Assassin's Creed: Valhalla looks like it'll be Ubisoft's next-gen answer to The Witcher 3, one of the best games ever made.

The new viking-themed Assassin's Creed looks damn good, and it could follow one of the best video games in existence. A new bit of leaked footage from a dev build shows a gritty, brutal and dark medieval style that instantly reminds me of Temeria, but the battles are much more wide-scaled. Out of respect for Ubisoft and the developers at Ubisoft Montreal, we won't be linking or embedding the leaked footage.

In the footage we see a castle siege culminate in a bloody and chaotic battle. The combat isn't as fluid as Geralt's acrobatic style, but Eivor has some tricks up their sleeves. The Spartan Kick is back, and this time we can dual-wield and deftly dodge attacks. There's siege engines and battering rams that you can actually interact with, complete with destructible environments like gates. There's beheadings and fatality executions too. A hefty boss fight punctuates the siege, complete with monstrous wolves.

Blizzard is preparing to launch a wide-scale global merger of some of its World of Warcraft servers to ensure a healthy and active playerbase.

Blizzard wants all of its WoW servers to be as populated as possible because, quite simply, an active server leads to better engagement (and monetization). The devs want to even out any discrepancies between realms by combining low-populated and high-populated servers together.

This isn't the first time Blizzard has done something like this. Realms have been joined several times in the past for this very reason, and the move could be prompted by lower-than-expected subscriber counts, players, or overall monetization. The migrations have often been successful and had a dramatically positive effect on overall play, from question to raids and everything in between.
