GTA V E&E and its accompanying GTA Online standalone release on PlayStation 5 have been delayed to March 2022, Rockstar today announced.

Grand Theft Auto V's next-gen PS5 version was one of the delayed games mentioned in Take-Two's recent earnings call, and will miss the original November 2021 period. Instead, GTA V Expanded & Enhanced will release in March 2022 at the tail-end of the fiscal year.

The new re-release features higher-end optimizations on PS5 including beefier graphics, snappier loading times and seamless character switching, and in-game contents and effects not possible on the PS4 or PS3 versions.

Legendary Star Wars RPG Knights of the Old Republic is getting a remake, Apsyr and Sony today announced.

We knew it was happening, but we didn't know if it was a remake or a remaster. Now it's official: KOTOR is getting a fully-fledged remake for Sony's next-gen PlayStation 5 console. The KOTOR remake will release first on the PS5 as a timed exclusive.

"We're rebuilding one of the greatest RPGs of all time for a new generation with modern tech, features, visuals and more, while maintaining the integrity of the story and characters that we've come to cherish. And it's a console exclusive on PlayStation 5 at launch," Aspyr confirms in a PlayStation Blog post.

LEGO just announced a new Mario-themed LEGO set that costs almost as much as a Switch Lite handheld console.

Nintendo's new Mario 64 LEGO set commands a steep $169.99 price tag (that's just $30 short of a Switch Lite) and features some very powerful 90s nostalgia complete with various zones lifted right from the titular N64 title. The company has made a mint with its NES and SNES Classic Edition mini console re-releases, and now it's cashing in on the old-school polygonal charm of Mario 64 with its expensive new builder's set.

Like the NES LEGO set before it, the Mario 64 edition also has an innovative gimmick. This time the entire set folds out from a power-up block straight out of the beloved platformer franchise (which is admittedly really awesome).

It appears YouTuber Austin Evans was wrong--Sony's new PlayStation 5 (CFI-1100B) is actually better than the launch model in some ways.

New findings from Hardware Busters and Igor's Lab confirm Sony's new PS5 revision is actually better in some ways than the launch model.

According to the site's detailed analysis, the SoC in the new PS5 runs 11 degrees cooler than the 2020 launch model. Two PS5 models with the same fans (Nidec G12L12MS1AF-56J14) went head-to-head, and the fans ran at exactly the same speed. The new PS5 (25.9 dBA) is slightly louder than the base PS5 (24.8 dBA) due to the new heat sink, so there's more air output and thus more noise. Power output measurements between the two PlayStation 5s are basically the same as well.

The International Space Station (ISS) has many uses, and one of them is to observe and measure Earth from above.

Astronauts aboard the ISS have managed to capture some incredible images of a hurricane rolling over the Atlantic Ocean on the weekend. The hurricane is named Hurricane Larry, and according to NASA astronaut Megan McArthur who is stationed on the ISS, "From our viewpoint on ISS, it looks much larger than Ida." Referencing Hurricane Ida that has caused massive destruction throughout southern America, more on that here.

As for Hurricane Larry, officials have said that it's a Category 3 hurricane that brings 115 mph winds. According to the National Hurricane Center, Larry isn't expected to reach land, but it will be ushering in a tropical storm for Bermuda this week as it makes its way close to the island. Astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) have conducted a disco party with some plants that are also aboard the floating laboratory.

The news comes from French astronaut Thomas Pesquet of the European Space Agency, who posted to his personal Twitter account with a GIF that shows plants being blasted with lights projecting multiple colors. Pesquet jokingly says in the caption of the post, "Saturday night disco! I may or may not have found the settings to program the LED lighting of our space greenhouse."

So, what are the astronauts actually doing if it isn't a disco? Astronauts aboard the ISS are experimenting with microgravity and how it affects things such as plant growth, bone density, etc. In this instance, astronauts are observing plant growth aboard the ISS to assess if nutritional value is influenced by microgravity. As for the different light colors, astronauts use the colors to see which plants respond to different light wavelengths.

The highly anticipated James Webb Space Telescope has just received a delay from NASA and the European Space Agency.

The James Webb Space Telescope is no stranger to delays, as it has been suffering from them since construction on the telescope began in the 1990s. Now, NASA partnered with the European Space Agency (ESA) has announced that the launch date for the Hubble replacement has been postponed to December 18.

According to Gunther Hasinger, ESA's director of science, who announced in a statement, "We now know the day that thousands of people have been working towards for many years, and that millions around the world are looking forward to. Webb and its Ariane 5 launch vehicle are ready, thanks to the excellent work across all mission partners. We are looking forward to seeing the final preparations for launch at Europe's Spaceport."

Sometimes all you want to do is just get away from people and be by yourself. This is a perfectly normal feeling as humans are both pack animals and solitary animals.

Spending a few hours reading a book or watching a movie by yourself is something most people would decide to do if they wanted some time to themselves. But if that isn't enough for you, there is another option available. An entire island. The island is located in the Isle of Carn Deas on the west coast of Scotland and is currently on the market for $68,900.

The island is 22-acres and is uninhabited besides the wildlife that is present all around it. Wildlife includes porpoises, dolphins, whales, and basking sharks, according to the Goldcrest Land & Forestry Group. A meteor has been caught on video soaring through the night sky, and ask it passes overhead, it can be seen burning up.

The footage comes from a webcam owned by Solent Ships in Southampton, England, and shows a meteor entering the frame at the top left. As the meteor plummets down towards it's exposed to our atmosphere and air friction, which causes it to erupt into a fiery ball. Luckily, most meteors that enter Earth's atmosphere burn up before they can reach the ground.

The meteor was recorded down to have passed Southampton on Sunday, September 5. In other space news, a robot named CIMON is being brought back to life aboard the International Space Station. Additionally, NASA has admitted that it doesn't have a plan if a UFO actually turned out to be alien life forms, more on that story here. ProtonMail has been busted holding onto the IP addresses of a French climate activity, as well as their browser fingerprint -- after Swiss authorities requested the data.

ProtonMail is meant to have end-to-end encryption by default, but it didn't -- the company states "By default, we do not keep any IP logs which can be linked to your anonymous email account". But we now know that's not true, and the company has since updated its privacy policy.

After the company sent over the metadata of the French activity, ProtonMail then removed the portion of its policy that said the company didn't log IP addresses. In its place, is "ProtonMail is email that respects privacy and puts people (not advertisers) first".

A rather powerful M7.0 earthquake has hit southwest Mexico, near the beach resort of Acapulco, and lighting up the sky red and blue. Check it out:

The 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck 2.5 miles (4km) east-northeast of Los Organos de San Agustin about 8 miles from the Pacific Coast beach resort city of Acapulco. There were at least 92 aftershocks recorded and set alarms off in Mexico City before the ground started rumbling.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration initially issued a tsunami warning but it was called off in the end. The earthquake saw 1.6 million people plunged into darkness, knocking down electricity throughout Mexico City and through 4 states.

EA and DICE were expected to unleash the Battlefield 2042 beta sometime between September 6 and 11, but it seems it was delayed -- with a new release date of September 22.

Battlefield 2042 leaker Tom Henderson writes in his new post on DualShockers that after "continuous hype throughout the day from the community" he had another email from a source claiming that the Battlefield 2042 beta will be on September 22 "with media and content creators recording in a behind closed doors event on the 20th".

Henderson pointed out that the "lack of communication seems to be a key indicator" to the Battlefield 2042 beta being delayed, as well as the Apple Store teasing the soundtrack of Battlefield 2042 will be released on September 22 -- so it makes sense.

Microsoft already has 2 next-generation consoles on the market with the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X consoles, but the company is reportedly working on a few refreshed consoles including a suped-up Xbox Series S console.

In his new video, Tom from Moore's Law is Dead says that Microsoft's refreshed Xbox Series S console would be released at under $350 -- pushing the current Xbox Series S console down into the $189 to $249 market. The new Xbox Series S, at least according to Tom, is "likely being prepared to undercut a PS5 Slim".

The new Xbox Series S would feature over 20 Compute Units (CUs) as the current XSS console has 20 CUs with as many as 4 disabled. Microsoft and AMD are doing this to boost yields, and have a good supply of Xbox Series S hitting the shelves. But more CUs and higher clock speeds could see the suped-up Xbox Series S being up to 50% faster, and that is a huge deal.

Stardew Valley has not sold a massive 15 million copies on all platforms since launch in 2016.

Hugely popular indie farming sim Stardew Valley has sold a whopping 15 million copies in the last 5 years, the developer's website now confirms. This is a marked increase of 5 million units since January 2020. The indie darling has beaten other major competitors like Fall Guys, Valheim, Cuphead, Shovel Knight, and Hollow Knight, and even some big-budget AAA games like Final Fantasy XV, Battlefield V, and every Resident Evil game that Capcom has released (Resident Evil 5, the top-selling RE game, sits at 10.2 million copies).

Today Vicarious Visions and Blizzard outlined the final feature set for Diablo II Resurrected, confirming major restrictions for console players.

If you grew up with Diablo II then you'll want to avoid Diablo II Resurrected on consoles at launch. I'd actually say that new players should avoid it as well because the core experience has been compromised on these platforms. The ARPG's console version simply doesn't reflect the engaging, fun, and social experience that Diablo II offers--and there's even major trade offs for solo players too.

This stark assertion was made in response to the latest forum post from Blizzard. I don't envy the studio's position in trying to make a 20 year-old PC game work on consoles, and I don't think this is an easy task or that the developers are lazy. The reality is Diablo II Resurrected will be a significantly pared back experience on consoles versus PC.

Far Cry 6 is coming next month with a return to a tropical setting and all-out chaos, complete with a diabolically insane dictator antagonist, tons of crazy weapons, and one of the widest and most impressive-looking island worlds that Ubisoft has ever made. Re-playing Far Cry 3 might be the perfect way to prepare for next month's struggle for libertad.

Sony just purchased Firesprite Games, a UK-based indie studio with an 8-year collaboration track record with the PlayStation brand.

Firesprite Games is the latest studio to become part of the PlayStation Studios label, following major acquisitions like Housemarque (Returnal) and the PC port specialists at Nixxes. Firesprite is a 250-person studio located in Liverpool, England that's made up of original old-school Wipeout developers. In fact, Firesprite was founded on the ashes of Sony's former Liverpool Studio division that was closed in 2012. Sony and Firesprite have come full circle.

Firesprite is responsible for a handful of games like Playroom and Playroom VR, Run Sackboy Run!, and a first-person horror game called Persistence that's been released on PSVR, PlayStation 5, and even Steam (with mixed reviews). Now Firesprite is currently working on a "branching narrative AAA adventure game" and a "AAA-quality new action shooter IP" for PlayStation Studios.

Sledgehammer Games confirms Call of Duty Vanguard's console version will feature options usually reserved for PC players.

This year's new WW2-themed Call of Duty is built on the same new-and-improved engine as Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War, which supports ray tracing, 120FPS and other higher-end optimizations on consoles. On top of that, Vanguard's next-gen release will also feature an FOV slider up to 120 degrees, motion blur toggles, and depth of field tweaks. There's no word on whether or not PS4 or Xbox One will also support this feature.

A brief look at Vanguard's settings popped up online from design director Adam Iscove, and Sledgehammer's community strategist Sam Leichtamer confirms the snapshot is indeed from Vanguard's console version.

A team of researchers has achieved what is being described as a "breakthrough" in quantum computing.

The achievement comes from a team of researchers at the RIKEN Center for Emergent Matter Science, who have been able to entangle a three-qubit array in silicon with high accuracy of predicting the state the qubit is in. For those that don't know, instead of using bits to make calculations and perform tasks like a typical computer does, quantum computers use quantum bits, or qubits.

The device the researchers created used three very small blobs of silicon called quantum dots, and each of these dots can hold one electron. The direction of the spin of the electron encodes the qubit. With that in mind, it should be noted that a "Two-qubit operation is good enough to perform fundamental logical calculations. But a three-qubit system is the minimum unit for scaling up and implementing error correction", explains Tarucha.
