A billionaire has unveiled plans to construct a new eco-friendly city somewhere in a United States desert.

The new city is named Telosa, and the plans for its construction have been unveiled by billionaire Marc Lore, who has outlined his plan for a city that will be able to support 5 million people at the start. Lore has appointed a world-famous architect to design the city, and according to the plans, the city will span 150,000 acres, have eco-friendly architecture, sustainable energy production, and a drought-resistant water system.

The architecture firm behind the project, Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) released some digital renders of the city, which show buildings covered in plant life and residents of the city enjoying open pollution-free spaces. Planners are currently tossing up between locations in Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Texas, and the Appalachian region. A new interview has revealed that if aliens actually came from an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO), or now more accurately named, an Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (UAP), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) doesn't have a plan.

The interview was conducted with PBS's "Firing Line" with former Senator and current NASA Administrator Bill Nelson, who said that the space agency doesn't currently have a plan in place if a UFO encounter turns into an alien encounter. Nelson did say that the space agency is working with researchers and scientists exploring the possibility of alien life existing. The agency has also attempted to communicate with alien life by sending messages out into the cosmos.

Margaret Hoover asked Nelson the following question; "Does NASA have a plan for what it would do if a UAP turned out to be a space alien?" Nelson replied by saying, "No, but the first thing we'd want to do is find out is if it's friend or foe. But we're not to that point because we just don't know what this phenomenon is. I think that with all of those sightings that you referenced, there's something there. This is not an optical illusion or a radar blip that's a mistake. So we need to find out. When you talk to those Navy pilots, they're convinced because they saw it and they tracked it."

NASA has labeled an asteroid that is currently heading towards Earth as "potentially hazardous". However that doesn't mean it's going to hit the planet.

For an asteroid to be considered "potentially hazardous," it must be classified as a "Near-Earth Object" (NEO), and for an asteroid (or comet) to be a NEO, it needs to "approaches our planet less than 1.3 times the distance from Earth to the Sun", per NASA.

For another perspective on just how far away that is, the distance between Earth and the moon is around 240,000 miles, the distance between Earth and the Sun is 92,900,000 miles. As for the asteroid that is approaching Earth, 2021 NY1 is estimated to be between 427 and 984 feet in diameter, and it will come within 930,487 miles of Earth. The asteroid is moving at 21,000 miles per hour despite its large size and is expected to pass by our planet safely.

A company that is aiming to reverse the aging process by changing human cells back into stem cells is reportedly being funded by Jeff Bezos.

The company is named Alto Labs, and according to reports, it has received more than $270 million in funding from individuals all around the world, including Bezos. Alto Labs is investigating anti-aging technologies, and according to Screen Shot, one method that the company has shown interest in is teaching cells the ability to convert back to their "stem cell" origins.

Alto Labs has recruited Doctor Shinya Yamanaka, who was awarded a Nobel Prize for the discovery of four proteins that are now referred to as the "Yamanaka factors". These proteins can essentially reprogram a cell back into a stem cell state, which Alto Labs and other researchers believe can lead to age reversal. It's unclear if Alto Labs will be successful with the new anti-aging technology, but one thing is for sure if it is successful, people are going to be raising some ethical questions.

NASA has announced that its Perseverance rover has officially collected its first-ever rock sample from the Red Planet.

Perseverance and the small scout helicopter named Ingenuity landed in the Jezero Crater back in February, and since then, both robots have been observing their surrounding. Perseverance has previously attempted to collect a sample of rock from Mars but failed. Now, Perseverance has announced on its Twitter account, as well as NASA has confirmed that Perseverance's first sample has been collected and secured.

The first is a drilled-out core of a rock, and it was collected on September 6. The rock sample has been sealed inside a titanium tube and will be a part of a collection that Perseverance will acquire over its mission. NASA expects that Perseverance will carry around a dozen of these core samples, all of which will eventually be transported back to Earth for analysis.

AMD engineers have been working on something from the future it seems, with a new patent called "Look Ahead Teleportation for Reliable Computation in Multi-SIMD Quantum Processor".

The patent in question is for a system that would use quantum teleportation in order to boost a quantum computer's reliability, while at the same time reducing the number of qubits required for a given calculation. This "teleportation" technology would help solve scaling issues and calculation errors that arise from system instability.

One of the main issues behind quantum development is once you start pushing the pedal to the metal, there are major issues when it comes to scalability and stability. Quantum computing is far different to the 0s and 1s of traditional technology, so AMD's new teleportation patent is quite an important step towards solving that issue.

Showtime is currently airing its series "UFO" with Episode 4 "They Also Found a Live Alien" detailing some truly mind-boggling information about not just aliens... but a male alien named Eva, and the fact their technology is beyond our imagination.

During the clip, you see Former Air Force Intelligence Officer Richard Doty explain that there were two crashes in the late 1940s and that the US government talked to an alien named Eva. Eva explained to them how their UFO technology worked, and that it was 50,000 years ahead of what we had at the time... which is kinda, no it truly is mind-blowing.

Doty said: "But during that time period that he was with us, he told us a plethora of information of what they have learned about the universe -- and what their technology is, they're technology is probably estimated to be about 50,000 years ahead of us".

Sony is going to host its big PlayStation Showcase event this week, where rumors are floating out that the company could have a refreshed PlayStation 5 Pro console.

But what will Sony confirm during the PlayStation Showcase 2021 event? Tom from Moore's Law is Dead says that the next-gen God of War will receive a gameplay reveal, as well as Gran Turismo and Stray (the game where you get to play as a cat).

Not only that, but The Last of Us: Factions could be revealed, the next-gen Call of Duty: Vanguard will be shown off, and a "few surprises" are being "considered" but Tom can't confirm which ones just yet. He does note that there are a lot of "maybes" being considered for the PlayStation Showcase 2021 event.

Xiaomi has just confirmed that it will have 120W HyperCharge support with its next-gen Xiaomi X11T Pro smartphone, which will be debuting on September 15 at 8PM GMT.

The company confirmed the news on its official Xioami Twitter account, that its next-gen X11T Pro smartphone will have incredibly fast 120W HyperCharge support. Xiaomi had just 30W charging on the regular Mi 10T Pro, and super-fast 120W charging on its Mi 10 Ultra, but now the 11T Pro will have 120W HyperCharge support.

We are to expect Xiaomi's new X11T Pro smartphone to roll out with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, a beautiful 120Hz AMOLED display, and 5000mAh battery. The reveal event takes place on September 15, which is next week... so we don't have much more time to wait until we know all about Xiaomi's next-gen X11T Pro smartphone.

The price of Chia Coin has pushed Chia crypto miners to offload their hardware, with bundles of SSDs and HDDs hitting the market -- at a loss. Unlike GPU miners that could've purchased graphics cards last year, and sold them at a profit this year.

The price of XCH has dropped from around $290 just a few days ago, down into the $210 area -- after spending most of August 2021 above $250. XCH was at manic peaks back in March 2021 when Chia Coin was at its maximum hype period, breaching $1600... before dropping close to 8x down to $216 at the time of writing.

One of the admins on the Chia Coin Facebook group, which has over 5000 Chia traders, has noticed a big uptick in Chia miners selling their old mining-abused SSDs and HDDs. Visually, The Matrix Resurrections is shaping up fantastic so far... with director Lana Wachowski having quite the eye. Lana is the only one returning to direct The Matrix Resurrections, with then brothers now sisters Andy and Larry Wachowski (now Lana and Lilly Wachowski) directing the original Matrix trilogy.

AMD is shifting into the world of GPU chiplets with its future Instinct MI300 GPU, which is reportedly set to have 4 GCD (Graphics Complex Die) according to a new leak.

The use of MCM or MCD (multi-chip module or multi-chip die) on AMD's next-gen Instinct accelerator is going to be a big deal, where we should see the upcoming Instinct MI200 accelerator packing either 110 CUs or 220 CUs (2 x 110 or 2 x 55 CUs).

But when it comes to the next-gen MI300 accelerator, the new leaks tease is that AMD will use twice as many GPU dies inside of the MI300 over the MI200 -- so we're looking at a huge 440 CUs in total from the 4 graphics tiles/chiplets.

GIGABYTE's next-gen AORUS Z690 motherboards have been listed early by a naughty Australian retailer, with the AORUS Z690 Master and AORUS Z690 Elite motherboards teased.

The new GIGABYTE Z690 AORUS Master is listed for $768.90 AUD which works out to around $500 USD (if you account for the 10% GST on the Australian pricing) while the GIGABYTE Z690 AORUS Elite listed for $438.90 AUD which means it should cost under $400.

GIGABYTE will launch its new Z690 family of motherboards including the new flagship Z690 AORUS Master and Z690 AORUS Elite motherboards next month, after Intel launches its new 12th Gen Core "Alder Lake" CPUs that will include support for both DDR5 RAM and PCIe 5.0 technology.

The PS5 die shots are courtesy of Fritzchens Fritz, who uploaded 58 photos to his personal Flickr account in all their totally-nerd-out glory. The PlayStation 5 features a semi-custom SoC (System-on-a-Chip) which compromises of Zen 2 CPU cores and RDNA 2 GPU cores co-developed by AMD and Sony.

My favorite shot would have to be the one of the SoC sitting on top of the PS5 controller... my golly gosh does that put tingles through my body. It's such a beautiful shot with the textured thumb pad on the PS5 controller to the right and the blue LED light running through the controller... yeah, it's a great shot.

Marvell, the same company that made the world's first PCIe 5.0 memory controllers with 14GB/sec speeds, also made the PlayStation 5's custom SSD controller.

New close-up microscopic images of the PlayStation 5's chips from Fritzchens Fritz confirm Sony teamed up with Marvell to make the console's SSD flash controller. The PS5 uses a custom 12-channel memory controller that enables blistering speeds of up to 9GB/sec compressed data transfer rates (5.5GB/sec uncompressed) over PCIe 4.0 x4.

Ubisoft appoints 23-year veteran Igor Manceau to lead the future creative vision of all of its games.

Today Ubisoft announced that Igor Manceau will now serve as its Chief Creative Officer. As CCO, Manceau will lead Ubisoft's internal editorial team, a division of higher-up creatives that essentially control the scope of all of its first-party franchises. Manceau has been with Ubisoft's creative departments for 23 years and more recently was creative director on both Rider's Republic and Steep.

The news comes during a tumultuous time for Ubisoft where sexual harassment allegations run rampant. The company has promised change and Manceau is taking over for ex-CCO Serge Hascoet, who left the company after being accused for significant instances of sexual and workplace misconduct.

Tripwire Interactive CEO John Gibson is leaving the company shortly after making extremely contentious comments about Texas' new abortion law.

Georgia-based games developer and publisher Tripwire Interactive (Chivalry 2, Killing Floor, Maneater) has been under fire for controversial views from its CEO, John Gibson. On September 4, Gibson Tweeted in support of Texas' new anti-abortion law saying that he was "proud of US Supreme Court affirming the Texas law banning abortion for babies with a heartbeat."

Gibson's Tweet was criticized by his peers and gamers alike and the studio--and Gibson himself--faced severe push back over the last few days. The views affected Tripwire's business with partners like Shipwright Games terminating contracts, and Chivalry developer Torn Banner Studios called the publisher out publicly. Now Tripwire has announced Gibson has left the studio.

Warner Bros. has launched a new What is the Matrix website with interactive clips to promote its new Matrix Resurrections film.

The new What is the Matrix ARG site is pretty nifty. It will let you take the red pill or the blue pill, playing a clip each time you select an option. The clips are directly from the new Matrix Resurrections movie...and they're a little different each time. The video uses AI to announce the exact time that you're watching the clip, followed by the famous ghostly-green character scroll and a few extremely high-definition clips directly from the movie.

Some of the clips we saw show Neo using his powers to deflect bullets, fling enemies through the air, and some gritty sci-fi shots of the squids from the original trilogy. There was also a shot of Neo stepping off a huge skyscraper.

It's official: Alan Wake is coming back with a fully-fledged remaster on consoles and PC.

After ratings boards leaked the news, Remedy announced that Alan Wake is coming back this Fall with a remastered re-release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Since the game is being funded by Epic Games the Alan Wake remaster will be an Epic Games Store exclusive and won't be available on the Steam marketplace.

Remedy's Sam Lake confirms the remaster is the same exact experience as the 2011 thriller but with higher-end visuals and upgraded environments.

Four ancient roman battering rams have been discovered by marine archaeologists, changing the understanding of Roman navy strategies.

In 264 B.C, the First Punic War between Ancient Rome and Carthage took place in the western Mediterranean, and throughout that time, warships used battering rams constructed out of bronze as weapons against their enemies. The batterings rams were fitted to the bow of the ship, and when collided with an enemy vessel, it would tear massive holes into the hull. Many of these relics of the past are still located on the seafloor, and four were just recovered.

From historian accounts, it's believed that the Roman navy sunk up to 50 Carthaginian ships using the battering, and the four that were successfully recovered were from wrecks off the coast of Sicily. Each of the rams was found to have inscriptions from judges "that affirmed these weapons were made in accordance with the high Roman engineering standards," per allthatsinteresting.com. Researchers previously believed that Romans attempted to RAM enemy ships broadside, but the rams were found to have damage from head-to-head collisions.
