A man has reportedly become trapped inside of his Tesla Model Y 2021 after it lost all power and began to randomly catch on fire.

According to reports from CTV News, Jamil Jutha told reporters that on May 20, he was traveling towards Mountain Highway in North Vancouver at 10 am when suddenly his Tesla Model Y lost all power causing the car to come to a stop. Jutha can be heard recounting the events where he said that the Tesla was saying "error" repeatedly and that none of the electronics to any of the doors were working. "The doors wouldn't open. The windows wouldn't go down," said Jutha.

Smoke began to pour into the vehicle's interior and started to suffocate Jutha, who quickly decided his only chance of survival was to break a window to escape. Jutha said that he quickly broke a window, crawled out, and called 911. At the moment, the cause of the fire is known, but firefighters are set to examine the burnt-out vehicle on May 24. Furthermore, Jutha used his burning vehicle as an opportunity to remind all Tesla drivers that there is a mechanical level that opens up the door under the window switch control.

NASA has confirmed that Boeing's CST-100 Starliner spacecraft has successfully docked to the International Space Station.

NASA has taken to its blog and social channels to announce that Boeing's Starliner successfully attached itself to the Harmony module aboard the ISS on May 20 at 8:23 pm EDT. Starliner launched on the back of a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida on May 19.

NASA writes that Starliner will only be aboard the ISS for a few days, with it being scheduled to disconnect on May 25 to return back down to Earth, carrying back more than 600 pounds of cargo where it's expected to land in a western US desert. Additionally, NASA has reported that the hatch to Starliner was opened on May 21, marking the first time ISS astronauts have opened a hatch to Boeing's CST-100 Starliner.

An amateur astrophotographer named Brendan O'Meal from New York has recently gone viral after taking an incredible photograph of two galaxies colliding.

O'Meal took to his TikTok and Instagram account to share an awesome image of ARP271, a pair of similarly sized interacting spiral galaxies more specifically named NGC 5426 and NGC 5427. The two colliding spiral galaxies reside in the constellation Virgo and are located about 130 million light years away from Earth. Notably, the ARP271 pair has a diameter of 130 million light years across, and judging by the comment section of the viral TikTok video, many people have just realized what a light-year actually means.

The TikTok video has, at the time of writing, been liked 1.8 million times and viewed 9.7 million times, with many commenters realizing that the image captured by telescope is of events that happened 130 million years ago. One commenter realized the same principles apply to viewing planets in search of life. If we observe a planet that's 100 million light years away, and see an alien civilization, it means that what we are seeing happened 100 million years ago.

An asteroid that is estimated to be around four times the size of the Empire State Building in diameter is approaching Earth.

According to NASA's Center for Near Earth Object Studies (CNEOS), the asteroid named 7335 (1989 JA) is scheduled to make its closest approach to Earth on May 27, which means the giant space rock is currently hurtling toward Earth right now. The CNEOS database indicates that the asteroid will safely pass by Earth at a distance of about 2.5 million miles, or about 10 times the distance between Earth and the Moon, which is approximately 250,000 miles.

Furthermore, estimates put the diameter of the asteroid at an extremely large 1.1 miles, and due to its proximity to Earth and its enormous size NASA has classified 7335 as "potentially hazardous (PH)". The PH classification means that if the orbit of the asteroid were changed and put on track to hit Earth, it would cause severe impact damage.

Even the world's richest man has seemingly picked up a copy of Elden Ring and finished it. Hyundai has announced a gigantic new set of faciltiies that will manufacture electric vehicles (EVs) as well as batteries, with a new home to be built in Savannah, Georgia.

The company will be spending $5.5 billion on the new facilities in Georgia, while taking in another $1 billion in investment from its suppliers. Hyundai says construction on the new facilities will begin in early 2023, with the first EVs made in Georgia set to roll off the production belts in the first half of 2025.

We don't know which EVs that Hyundai will be making in the USA, with the South Korean giant saying that it will be building a "wide range" of electric cars in Georgia. The same mystery surrounds its battery-building facility, but Hyundai does say it "will be established through a strategic partnership".

Samsung is introducing a bunch of new gaming monitors at Computex 2022, with the new Odyssey Neo G7 (S32BG75) being rolled out.

The new Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 (S32BG75) gaming monitor has a 32-inch panel, with the company tapping a Quantum Mini LED backlight with up to 1000 nits of brightness. There's Quantum HDR 200 certification here, AMD FreeSync Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC support, and support for Low Input Lag, Refresh Rate Optimizer, Adaptive Picture, and more.

The 32-inch panel has a native 4K resolution and super-quick 165Hz refresh rate, so you'll need a beasty GPU to handle 4K @ 165FPS... NVIDIA's new flagship GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, or AMD's new flagship Radeon RX 6950 XT graphics card. There's a slew of connectivity as well: 2 x HDMI 2.1, 1 x DisplayPort 1.4, 2 x USB-C 3.0 ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

AMD will be hosting its Computex 2022 keynote in a few hours time, where we should be introduced to the Zen 4-based Ryzen 7000 series CPUs, X670E/X670/B650 chipsets, and "Mendocino" APUs for laptops.

The new AMD "Mendocino" APU will reportedly combine Zen 2 CPU cores with an RDNA 2 GPU, with 4 cores and 8 threads of CPU power at its disposal. AMD will be making its new APU on TSMC's 6nm process node, and a project 10+ hours of "mixed-usage" battery life expected from Mendocino-powered "everyday" laptops.

AMD will be "redefining the everyday laptop" when it launches its new Mendocino APU, with laptops using the chip dropping in Q4 2022. We're looking at low-power, mainstream -- hence "everyday" -- laptops. AMD is promising prices of $399 to $699 on Mendocino-powered laptops, with both Windows and ChromeOS operating systems expected.

Amazon has done something no other company has ever attempted: blasted its latest TV show into outer space, yeah -- they actually did it.

Amazon Prime Video's new sci-fi series "Night Sky" has become the "the first-ever intergalactic premiere for a TV series", with a collaboration between Amazon, and satellite services companies SES and Intelsat, with their ground stations and geostationary satellites sending the episode into outer space.

Vernon Sanders, Amazon Studios TV Head said: "Night Sky is all about appreciating both the magical and the mundane in our everyday world. To be able to share this poignant story and amazing performances with those in the larger universe seems like the perfect way to launch this show".

LG has just unveiled its new CineBeam HU915QE projector, a new flagship Ultra Short Throw (UST) laser projector.

The new LG CineBeam HU915QE projector can project a large 120-inch screen from just 7 inches away, something its predecessor could do, but now it does it with a retina-busting 3700 ANSI lums of brightness. Leak after leak, free marketing after free marketing... AMD's next-gen X670E (the "E" stands for Extreme) chipset will be revealed (officially) in a few hours, but man it's going to ROCK.

AMD's new X670E chipset will be the flagship chipset for next-gen motherboards, under that the new X670, and then the B650 chipset. AMD has confirmed that its new flagship X670E chipset is designed for "Unparalleled Capability and Extreme Overclocking".

The company adds that it has "PCIe 5.0 Everywhere" meaning that you can use PCIe 5.0 for whatever you want: PCIe 5.0-enabled GPUs and SSDs of the future. The new X670 chipset will have "Enthusiast Overclocking" but drops the "Unparalleled Capability" as it will only support PCIe 5.0 SSD and GPU support, optionally.

MSI's next-gen X670E and X670 series motherboards have just been teased ahead of Computex 2022, with the introduction of the MSI X670E GODLIKE, X670E ACE, X670E CARBON WIFI, and X670-P WIFI.

The new NVIDIA A100 PCIe "Ampere" accelerator has been updated with a liquid-cooled variant, and man it looks so damn good. NVIDIA is making this card, using a beautiful design that sees the tubing connectors on the rear, sitting directly to the left of the single 8-pin PCIe power connector.

A liquid-cooled A100 accelerator isn't exactly new, as you could buy the passively cooled dual-slot version and manually replace the cooler... but that is a lot of work. Professionals aren't going to do that, they're going to want to buy it made like this... and install it into their system. This is a work of art.

The new Alan Wake remastered re-release has yet to break even or make a profit, Remedy Entertainment has announced.

Epic Games has lost money from its investment into new Alan Wake remastered. According to Remedy's latest earnings report, Epic's undisclosed funding of the Alan Wake remaster has been a loss.

"We had no royalty revenue from Alan Wake Remastered during the first quarter as Epic Games Publishing has yet to recoup its development and marketing expenses for the game," Remedy CEO Tero Virtala said in an earnings blog post.

Shareholders at Take-Two Interactive and Zynga have approved all proposals and conditions of the $12.7 billion mega-merger, and the deal is expected to close tomorrow, May 23, 2022.

Tomorrow Take-Two Interactive will grow more than it ever has before. The company will merge with mobile F2P titan Zynga in gaming's second-largest acquisition in history. The $12.7 billion deal will further open up Take-Two's traditionally console-focused business into the billion-dollar powerhouse market of mobile gaming while creating cross run-rate synergies of hundreds of millions, saving both companies considerable spending each year.

Zynga is also expected to help bring more of Take-Two Interactive's franchises to other platforms, possibly including full mobile or free-to-play ports or standalone titles. Zynga's expertise with cross-play may also open up new doors for games like GTA Online, which could benefit tremendously from cross-platform play.

Fortnite users will soon be able to create the same caliber of content that Epic Games offers.

Epic plans to release the Fortnite Unreal Editor sometime in 2022. This new toolset will allow gamers to create and release the same kind of in-game content that Epic offers.

"Later this year, we're going to release the Unreal Editor for Fortnite--the full capabilities that you've seen opened up--so that anybody can build very high-quality game content and code and deploy it into Fortnite without having to do a deal with us. It's open to everybody," Tim Sweeney said in a recent interview with Fast Company.

GIGABYTE did confirm that their flagship X670 AORUS Xtreme motherboard will be using the "standard" X670 chipset, and not the purported X670E chipset that will offer PCIe 5.0 for both the GPU and SSD -- where some boards are only doing one, and not both. DDR5 will be a standard, however.
