YouTuber DIY Perks has built the world's first PlayStation 5 slim model in an ultra-slim form factor that's less than an inch thick.

The PS5 is a massive console that stays surprisingly cool thanks to its robust heat sink design and liquid metal-cooled SoC--our PlayStation 5 SSD temperature tests also reveal how important it is to have a storage heat sink installed. But one YouTuber has pushed things to the max, shrinking the PS5's overall thickness to just 0.75 inches, a size reduction of 85% over the retail model.

The custom PS5 from YouTuber DIY Perks is significantly thinner and cooler than Sony's mass-produced model. The size reduction is apparent, but inside components like the VRM, RAM, and SoC remain up to 45% cooler with a custom watercooling system built specifically for the ultra-slim chassis. This DIY console wasn't easy, though, and cost a pretty penny.

Modders are adding in content that CD Projekt RED originally wanted to put into Cyberpunk 2077, but didn't due to in-game issues, time constraints, or both.

A new mod adds flyable vehicles to Cyberpunk 2077, which is a feature that CD Projekt RED had originally planned for the game. Back in 2016, CD Projekt received a grant from the Polish government to fund its vision for Cyberpunk 2077. This City Creation vision included "living, breathing cities" with "real-time AI" and flying cars, which was arguably delivered in some form in the final game...except the cars weren't actually flyable by players.

One mod has changed all that. Let There Be Flight is a mod from Jack Humbert that brings Cyberpunk 2077's future cars from the streets and into the skies.

The United States government is seizing a $350 million business jet that is one of the most luxurious private jets in the world.

The US Department of Transportation is seizing what is the world's most expensive private jet, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner which was owned by Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich. The ownership of the business jet was covered up through a "series of shell companies", according to an FBI spokesperson. The seizure of the luxurious jet comes after a slew of sanctions imposed on Russian's most wealthy individuals in an effort to hogtie the Russia economically and prevent it furthering its invasion in Ukraine.

The private jet is rare as its body was designed for commercial flights and was later converted into a Dreamliner business plane. There are other Dreamliner planes out there but not many that are like the Boeing 787-8. The jet measures in at 2,400 square feet and is able to travel over 17 hours. Before it was owned by Abramovich and was available commercially it was charging $74,000 an hour. The plane was considered as a "seven-star" experience that features areas such as a galley, rest areas, and more.

The cryptocurrency market is currently a bloodbath, with a sea of red candles splattering the charts as the price of Bitcoin continues to tumble.

In the first week of June to the 20th of June, the price of Bitcoin has plunged 30%, taking the already declining price from approximately $30,000 to its current price of $20,000. The sharp decline resulted in the total global market cap for all cryptocurrencies to dip below $850,000 billion, with coins such as Ethereum being half its value than it was a month ago. The world's second largest cryptocurrency is currently trading at around $1,000, marking the first time it's traded at that price point since January 2021.

The bloodbath may not be over, as billionaire investor "Bond King" Jeffrey Gundlach, the CEO of asset management firm DoubleLine Capital recently stated that he believes Bitcoin's price could tumble further. Gundlach said he wouldn't be "surprised at all" if Bitcoin's price dropped a further 50% from its current price, putting the once valued at $60,000-cryptocurrency at $10,000.

Elon Musk has taken to Twitter to publicly say that he is still a big supporter of the meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin.

The tweets from Musk come just after reports surfaced that revealed an individual has filed a lawsuit against Musk, Tesla, and SpaceX that claim all three were involved in a racketeering scheme that manipulated the price of Dogecoin. The lawsuit claimed that Musk "falsely and deceptively claim that Dogecoin is a legitimate investment when it has no value at all," and went on claim that Dogecoin has no inherent use and is a form of gambling.

Musk took to his personal Twitter account to write that he still supports Dogecoin, which was met with a reply from Altcoin Gordon, who wrote, "Keep buying it then." Musk quickly responded with, "I am", indicating that the billionaire is picking up some Dogecoin at the approximate current value ($0.058c).

The cryptocurrency market has been in a slow decline since Bitcoin's price reached its all-time high in November, 2021, but now things have started to heat up - in a bad way.

The price of Bitcoin was in an overall steady decline for many months, from January to April, 2022 the Bitcoin's price bounced between $45,000 and $35,000. In May the world's most popular cryptocurrency experienced a mass sell off, driving the price from approximately $35,000 at the beginning of May to $26,000 by the beginning of June.

Now, June as been a bloodbath of red sell candles as the price plummeted a further 30%, to what seemed to be a support level at $20,000. Looking at some of the hourly trading metrics you can see swaths of Bitcoin being purchased at $20,000, but not enough to outpace the selling that was occurring. As of writing the price has since broken the lowest support the market has seen since December 2020, and is fluctuating at around $19,000.

Tesla's Cyberpunk and Semi have been spotted cruising down a speedway, and the video has been posted to Tesla Owners of Silicon Valley.

The Tesla-dedicated Twitter account posted the video, which showed the two yet-to-be-released vehicles slowly driving down a Michigan speedway. The official Tesla Instagram account originally posted the video to its Stories and, as you can imagine, generated thousands of replies, where a portion can be seen in the Twitter thread. Some individuals directly asked Musk where their Cybertruck order was, as they have been "waiting sooooo long".

Unfortunately, the Cybertruck and the Semi have suffered manufacturing setbacks. The Semi was meant to enter production in 2019, and as of May this year, Musk has said that the Semi will enter production sometime in 2023. As for the Cybertruck, Musk has said that development on the vehicle is expected to be completed by the end of 2022 with the hopes of the highly anticipated vehicle beginning production in 2023.

Deepfakes are almost at the point where they are indistinguishable from real life, and as the technology develops even further, they will no doubt become unrecognizable.

It was only in March that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had to upload a video to squash a disinformation video of him that was going viral. The video was a deepfake of Zelenskyy ordering the Ukrainian military to surrender to Russian troops. Deepfakes are becoming even harder to recognize, and a recent example of that is the TikTok account "unreal_margot," an account dedicated to posting deepfake videos of actress Margot Robbie.

The account has gained more than 1.7 million likes, and is currently being followed by nearly 350,000 people. Since May 28, the account has posted six videos, with two videos hitting 10 million and 17 million views and three more getting above 1 million. What's most concerning is the comment section of the videos, as seemingly thousands of people haven't recognized that the videos are fakes.

One of the world's most valuable shipwrecks has been photographed, and a collection of images have been released by the Colombian military.

The shipwreck is Spain's San Jose Galleon that sunk with a large collection of now extremely valuable treasure. British navy sunk the vessel in 1708 throughout the War of the Spanish Succession. According to reports, the ship was and still is, carrying a large amount of treasure that includes gold coins, silver, emeralds, crockery, pots, cannons, and glass bottles. Previously the treasure was estimated to be worth $1 billion, but according to ScienceAlert, it's now estimated to be worth $17 billion.

The San Jose Galleon sunk with 600 souls on board, and on June 6, footage of the wreck was revealed by the Colombian military, with Colombian President Ivan Duque saying in a press conference, "The idea is to recover it and to have sustainable financing mechanisms for future extractions. In this way, we protect the treasure, the patrimony of the San Jose galleon." Notably, Colombia has claimed that the sunken vessel is its property, but Spain has also thrown its hat in the ring by stating that the ship was their property, claiming that the ship and its treasure fall under World Heritage Site guidelines.

Atos is building the new MareNostrum 5 supercomputer, with a new $160 million contract signed in part of the EuroHPC JU initiative, and once it's built it will be the fastest supercomputer in the European Union.

NVIDIA's new Grace Superchips will be powering the new Atos MareNostrum 5 supercomputer, which will be built in Spain and delivered to the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre (BSC) in 2023. Inside, the new MareNostrum 5 supercomputer will pack 314 petaflops of FP64 computing performance.

The compute and storage partitions will be operational within the year, reports HPC Wire, adding that the remainder of the MareNostrum 5 supercomputer to be "operational within the year". NVIDIA has also added that the system is "expected to enter deployment in 2023". BSC says that the new MareNostrum 5 supercomputer will be "fully powered with green energy, and will utilize heat reuse technology".

Apple will change the world with its first-gen AR/MR (augmented or mixed reality) headset, with all signs pointing to the second-gen MR headset boasting a possible 4000 PPI display.

In a new report from Patently Apple, Sony will be providing Apple with its Micro-OLED displays for their first-gen MR headset, meanwhile, LG Display will provide higher-resolution Micro-OLED panels for the second-gen Apple MR headset. Patently Apple added: "We learned this week that LG will be using ultra high-resolution fine metal mask (FMM) from AP Systems".

"It was rumored in September 2021 that Apple requested FMM sample from AP Systems (APS Holdings) for use with the mixed reality headset. Apple had requested a resolution of 3000ppi (pixels per inch). Apple tested the FMM sample to see if it could be applied to production, then form a more concrete plant for the VR device's development".

I'm sure you've heard by now that the cryptocurrency market has had the arse fall out of it, with Bitcoin circling $20,000 or so -- leaving crypto miners, small, and big -- shuffling on the spot.

In a new report from Bloomberg, we're being told crypto miners across the world spent around $15 billion in 2021 alone... taking up more GPUs than gamers. Yes, crypto miners purchased more graphics cards than gamers, which should shock some, and not shock others that know crypto miners are buying 10s, 100s, or 1000s of graphics cards at once.

Bloomberg reported: "Ethereum miners have spent approximately $15 billion on graphics processing units (GPUs), according to Bitpro Consulting, and that doesn't include ancillary costs like wiring and transformers".

GALAX has just unveiled its new GALAX GeForce RTX 3060 Vegetables Fairy 'Cabbage Dog' special edition graphics card... which... well... I'll let you see it first:

What is this thing? The new card is based on the Vegetables Fairy concept by Japanese creator "PonkichiM" who envisions animals as foods and vegetables. Each of the animals are based on various foods, including: Garlic Cat, Shiitake Mushroom, Lotus Root, Vegetables Red Fox Radish, Vegetables Squirrel, and Cabbage Dog.

The GPU isn't any different, with GALAX using a custom PCB and shroud design for its new GALAX GeForce RTX 3060 Vegetables Fairy 'Cabbage Dog' special edition graphics card, but inside we have the GA106-302 GPU.

NVIDIA's next-gen AD102 GPU has been rumored to be a power-hungry monster since day one, with leaks suggesting between 600W and 900W of power consumption.

The new Ada Lovelace GPU architecture and its flagship AD102 GPU have a power limit of 800W according to leaker "kopite7kimi" but adds at the end of his tweet "I don't think we need to use the full power cap". I've said in previous articles that I think the 600-800W monster AD102 GPU we keep hearing about has to be a new TITAN RTX graphics card.

NVIDIA launching a new GeForce RTX 4090 Ti and or RTX 4090 with 800W of power sounds insane, but 600W doesn't... because the not-so-old GeForce RTX 3090 Ti uses 450W out of the gate. We keep hearing 600W+ but then these 800W rumors are just as common in the rumor mill. The leak includes that the AD102 GPU will use 450W, AD104 with 400W, and AD106 with 260W.

AMD is gearing up for its next-gen Zen 4-based Ryzen 7000 series CPU launch, with a leaker teasing the first 4 variants of the Zen 4 processors.

In the tweet, leaker "@Greymon55" teased that we are to expect the Ryzen 9 7950X -- expected to be a beasty new 16-core, 32-thread CPU -- and the Ryzen 9 7900X which should be a 12-core, 24-thread Zen 4 champion. After that, AMD is expected to launch the Ryzen 7 7800X that should be a 8-core, 16-thread Zen 4 chip while the Ryzen 5 7600X is the last in the rumored launch lineup with 6 cores and 12 threads.

AMD's upcoming Ryzen 7 7700X is "still not in the first lineup" according to the leaker. As for the new Zen 4 processors, we're to expect at least 15-20% performance boosts in the IPC department, DDR5 RAM support, and PCIe 5.0 support. AMD's new highest-end X670E + X670 motherboards will offer DDR5 + PCIe 5.0, with the next-gen flagship Navi 31-based Radeon RX 7970 XT (or whatever it's called) expected to debut on PCIe 5.0 x16.

EA's new NCAA college football sim is still on track for a Summer 2023 release, collegiate sports institutions have confirmed.

EA's college football games are coming back in mid-2023, new reports indicate. A bit ago, EA confirmed it was making a new NCAA game for its EA Sports label after 10 years or so without a game in the franchise. Now the official CLC branches have sidelined EA to reveal a release window for the game.

"EA's aim is to release a stand-alone college football game in July of 2023, allowing for the two-year game development window necessary for collecting game assets and developing game play to meet the current market demands for a unique college football game while following NCAA guidelines," the Collegiate Licensing Corporation told Extra Points in 2021.

Blizzard's and NetEase's controversial free-to-play Diablo game has been pushed back to an undetermined period of time in China. Originally due to launch in June 23, the game has been delayed to "optimize" the experience. A bill to ban fossil-fuel-powered cryptocurrency mining has passed the Senate in New York state.

Assembly Bill A7389C passed in the Assembly in late April, but days before the cutoff for any new legislature on June 2nd, it had failed to be assigned a date to be examined further before it could be voted in the state Senate, and go on to become law. However, an influx of phone calls supporting the bill ensured it reached the Senate and subsequently passed on June 3rd.
