Blizzard has given Diablo 4 players their first look at Season 15, and a lot is coming, including the return of some iconic items from Diablo's past. Called Legacy Uniques, they draw from the original Diablo, Diablo 2, and Diablo 3, with ten new items in total.

With five available to all classes and five available to a mix of classes, Diablo fans will definitely recognize a few of these items and their powers. The Stone of Jordan ring, an iconic item from Diablo 2, is making a return. As is Diablo 3's Leoric's Crown, which will feature a similar power that will enhance the effect of any gem socketed into the helm.
Other iconic items making a return include Messerschmidt's Reaver, a two-handed axe from Diablo 2; The Furnace, which is a powerful two-handed mace from Diablo 3; and Hyperion Spear, another powerful two-hander from Diablo 2. One of the more fun blasts from the past Legacy Uniques coming to Diablo 4 is Nemesis Bracers, gloves that spawn Elites just like they did in Diablo 3.

The Public Test Realm (PTR) release of Diablo 4's Season 15 3.2.0 update is set to go live next week, but even so, the development team is keeping a few secrets and features under wraps as it teases "more to share at BlizzCon."

The PTR patch notes, which you can read in full here, also detail the Seasonal theme, which will introduce socketable Soul Splinters. These will drop in the five rarities (Common, Magic, Rare, Legendary, and Unique) and are described as giving "power with a bite." One example, the Splinter of Anguish, showcases this by offering a boost to Critical Strike Chance and Attack Speed but with increased Primary Resource Costs.
Season 15 will also introduce some new gameplay mechanics. One of these is called Challenge Dungeons, which are designed to deliver challenging boss fights. However, the versions of these in the PTR will change in the actual release, presumably due to the BlizzCon reveal. Overland Ambush is another new mechanic that will see a powerful demon hunting you as you explore Sanctuary, with Blizzard describing it as a rare and difficult encounter.
