Konami's new Silent Hill 2 remake will be kept off of Xbox and Nintendo platforms for at least 12 months, Sony has confirmed.

Silent Hill is coming back, but not for everyone. Sony has acquired timed exclusivity on the newly announced Silent Hill 2 remake for one year. The remake is releasing on PC, but it won't be available on non-PlayStation consoles for at least 12 months.

"Also available on PC. Not available on other formats for 12 months after release," reads a footnote at the bottom of the official Silent Hill 2 trailer.

The accounts from the pilots come from former FBI agent and host of the Discovery+ show UFO Witness, Ben Hansen, who managed to get his hands-on new footage along with air traffic control recordings.

The accounts from the various pilots come from Southwest Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and others between the dates of August 6 and September 23. In one instance of a UFO sighting, a former F-18 pilot in the Marine Corps, Mark Hulsey, said that he was observing multiple aircraft flying above him, with the former military pilot first reporting seeing three objects while flying a charter jet off the Los Angeles coast. Hulsey then called back nearly 30 minutes later to report that there was now seven aircraft flying anywhere between 5,000 and 10,000 feet above him.

The compiled accounts from the pilots detail strange lights being spotted, with some pilots reporting them as possible aircraft. Notably, these strange lights were spotted by "upwards of 15 different commercial flights. And at least six pilots are willing to go on record with their names and everything if asked to do so by any investigative agencies. In this case, we have a global phenomenon from as far west as Japan, to as far east as possibly Miami. Whatever it is, pilots are seeing it from halfway across the world," said Hansen.

NASA's James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) has pointed its advanced instruments at the iconic Pillars of Creation.

In 1995, NASA's Hubble Space Telescope made the Pillars of Creation famous with an image. The now 30-year-old space telescope revisited the Pillars of Creation back in 2014 to provide a sharper and wider view, which produced an image that may be recognizable. Now, Webb has visited the Pillars of Creation and imaged it in infrared red, showcasing an extremely detailed landscape of dense clouds of gas and dust. Located 6,500 light years away from Earth, the Pillars of Creation are a breeding ground for new stars which are forming within and around the pillars.

NASA explains on its blog that Webb's Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam) was used to capture the incredible image, and by using infrared, NASA is able to identify many more newly formed stars, along with more precise estimations for the amount of gas and dust within the region. The space agency explains that newly formed stars steal the show in the below image, which can be identified by their diffraction spikes.

In September, researchers at Kyiv's Main Astronomical Observatory (MAO) released a report that detailed multiple UFO sightings over Ukraine's capital city, Kyiv.

The report described a significant number of objects that the researchers say "nature is not clear", with the inclusion of "phantom" and "cosmic" UFOs. Phantom UFOs appeared completely black against the background sky, and cosmic UFOs were brighter than the background sky. According to the report, the researchers "see them everywhere", and they ranged in size from 10 to 40 feet wide. Additionally, the scientists recorded speeds of up to 33,000 mph, which is approximately twice as fast as an intercontinental ballistic missile.

The report has sparked interest from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU), which launched an investigation into the report from the MAO, and according to the panel behind the investigation, there were significant errors within the initial report when it came to interpreting distances and the processing of relevant data. Furthermore, the NASU panel concluded that the report didn't even meet the professional requirements for publication.

An astronaut aboard the International Space Station (ISS) has snapped a phenomenal image of two blue blobs of light hovering in Earth's atmosphere.

The International Space Station (ISS) orbits Earth at an altitude of approximately 250 miles, giving the astronauts aboard the floating laboratory a fantastic vantage point to view Earth from. While passing over Southeast Asia, approximately near the Vietnamese coast and Thailand, an ISS astronaut snapped an image that showcases two unrelated natural phenomena happening to occur at the same time.

The blob of blue light seen at the bottom of the photograph is a very large lightning strike that happened over the Gulf of Thailand. Seeing lightning strikes happen from 250 miles up is typically quite difficult, but this lightning strike seemed to have occurred within a gap in the clouds that were also located fairly high up. The strike itself illuminated the clouds, which created the incredible blue color that is seen in the image.

The world's second-richest individual has decided to sell his private jet after he found out it was being tracked by people on Twitter.

Reports indicate that Bernard Arnault, the CEO of the world's largest luxury goods company LVMH, or more commonly known as Louis Vuitton, has sold the private jet linked to his company after Twitter climate activists began tracking its location and tallying up its carbon emissions. Arnault spoke to France's Radio Classique and said that the group that owned the plane, which was associated with his company, has now sold, which has resulted in no one being able to "see where I go".

The Twitter accounts that were tracking private jet flights and measuring carbon emissions have been doing so for six months, with both accounts generating more than 100,000 followers each. Two Twitter accounts, @i_fly_Bernard, and @laviondebernard tracked the billionaire's flights, with the bio of the I Fly Bernard account stating that "63 French billionaires emit as much CO2 as 50 percent of the population".

KIOXIA continues to push forwad with enterprise infrastructure dominance, announcing its next-gen XD7P Series SSDs.

The new KIOXIA XD7P Series SSDs are designed from the ground up for hyperscale and general server applications in the new Enterprise and Data Center Standard Form Factor (EDSFF) E1.S form factor. KIOXIA's new fleet of XD7P Series SSDs is built on the second-generation of E1.S SSDs with Open Compute Project (OCP) Data Center NVMe SSD 2.0 specification support.

KIOXIA's new XD7P Series Data Center NVMe SSDs have improved performance, with up to 2x the sequential write performance and random read/write performance when it's put up against its predecessor. The new drives have been built for PCIe 4.0 and NVMe 2.0 specifications, while KIOXIA teases PCIe 5.0 with its up to 32GT/s of bandwidth per lane is still in development.

Mark Zuckerberg's multi-billion project called Horizon Worlds is facing some real problems as internal documents leaked online have revealed its seemingly failing in slow motion.

The leaked internal documents on Horizon Worlds were obtained by The Wall Street Journal and revealed that Meta put forward a goal of getting as many as 500,000 monthly active users within its metaverse by the end of 2022. However, that goal has fallen incredibly short, with the company now reining back its goal to just 280,000 monthly active users. The only problem is that Horizon Worlds is still yet to hit 200,000 active users, with one of the documents even describing the experience within Meta's metaverse as an "empty world".

It was only recently that Zuckerberg outlined that Horizon Worlds will be designed in such a way that creators can build their own worlds and profit from the experiences they provide players via services, merchandise, etc. However, these player-built worlds require visitors for this to be a worthwhile prospect, and according to the leaked documents majority of player-built worlds didn't pass more than 50 users. This point on relying on online purchases for profit was further illustrated by Zuckerberg when he explained that Meta would be breaking-even on the initial sales of its flagship VR headset, the Meta Quest Pro.

A military aircraft has collided with a residential building in Russia, killing at least thirteen individuals and injuring many others.

According to multiple reports, some from Russian news agencies, the aircraft was confirmed to be a Russian military plane that experienced a malfunction with one of the engines, preventing it from gaining altitude. Russia's Defense Ministry confirmed the aircraft to be a Su-34 fighter-bomber, and the crash occurred shortly after the military jet took off from the Yuzhny airbase in southern Russia. Officials say the aircraft was performing a training flight and was carrying a payload that detonated shortly after it impacted the residential building.

Video's and images were promptly uploaded to social media on Monday, with one of the images showing a pilot of the aircraft safely ejecting before the plane hit the buildings. Notably, both pilots managed to safely eject the plane, according to Russia's Defense Ministry. Russian news agency Tass quoted the Russian Emergencies ministry, which said that several bodies were found under the buildings crumbling stories, three of which were children. The crash injured an additional nineteen people, per Russia's health ministry.

NVIDIA only unlaunched its GeForce RTX 4080 12GB graphics card last week, leaving the higher-end GeForce RTX 4080 16GB variant to dominate the higher-end side of the GPU market... but now we have some news on what happened behind the scenes with the GeForce RTX 4080 12GB cancellation.

In a new video, Moore's Law is Dead said his sources explained that NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 4080 12GB was "just starting production at most" when the company relaunched it, with AIBs being "barely OK" said the source. The second source said that "almost none" made it to the US "besides maybe samples".

Another source explained that the GeForce RTX 4080 12GB configuration is "gone for the foreseeable future, if not forever" while the final source said that it's "highly unlikely" that the exact 7680 CUDA core version with 21Gbps GDDR6X and the AD104 GPU variant comes to gamers. The last source said that NVIDIA will "likely disable it slightly for the 4070, otherwise they'd be admitting it was always an RTX 4070".

NVIDIA's upcoming mid-range GeForce RTX 4070 has been pictured for the first time ever, with leaker Moore's Law is Dead posting some photos of NVIDIA's in-house GeForce RTX 4070 Founders Edition graphics card.

The upcoming upper mid-range graphics card will have a similar cooler to NVIDIA's current Ampere-based GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition cooler, but its smaller, and better in many ways. The fans on the GeForce RTX 4070 Founders Edition graphics card are larger, just like the GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition and its bigger fans over the GeForce RTX 3090 Founders Edition, as well as airflow being more streamlined through the card.

The new Jeep Avenger was unveiled during the Paris Motor show, the company's first-ever battery electric vehicle (BEV). There is an effort to roll out Jeep models to Europe that are designed to fit best on European highways and city streets - and the compact SUV points towards the future.

The 400-volt electric powertrain supplies 115 kW, 156 horsepower, and 260 Nm maximum torque. The WLTP guidelines resulted in an almost 250 mile range - which increased to 340 miles when the Jeep is in the urban cycle. Using a fast charger for only three minutes provides enough charge to cover almost 20 miles - and 24 minutes of charge time takes the battery from 20% up to 80% charge.

In addition, the battery has been tested for over 1.2 million miles. The extremely compact, non-intrusive battery is located under the front and rear seats - an underbody skid plate and high ground clearance help protect it from significant damage.

NVIDIA's upgraded GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card doesn't seem to be too far away, with upgraded GDDR6X memory that will provide a little boost in performance for the mid-range Ampere GPU.

The new GeForce RTX 3060 Ti will reportedly rock upgraded GDDR6X memory at 19Gbps bandwidth, which is up from the regular GDDR6 (non-X) memory on the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, which is clocked at just 14Gbps bandwidth in comparison. It's a huge jump in memory bandwidth and should help out with performance in higher-resolution games and higher-end texture details in AAA titles.

NVIDIA is reportedly using the same GA104-202 GPU according to VideoCardz's sources, which said that the same GA104-202 GPU will be boosting up to 1665MHz (the same as the current RTX 3060 Ti).

Intel's new Core i9-13900K "Raptor Lake" CPU is about to be unleashed, with some new slides from "RUBY's|RYZEN|RAYDEON RAGE 3D" teasing gaming and content creation performance of the new Raptor Lake CPU.

In the slide, Intel is comparing its new flagship Core i9-13900K processor against AMD's best new Zen 4-based Ryzen 9 7950X processor, which it appears to be around 11% faster than the Ryzen 9 7950X. The games include Armageddon, Total War: Warhammer 3, PUBG Battlegrounds, GRID Legends, Total War Saga: Troy, Far Cry 6, Hitman 3, Guardians of the Galaxy, League of Legends, Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, Conquerer's Blade, and The Riftbreaker.

These benchmarks are new, because when Intel announced its new 13th Gen Core "Raptor Lake" CPUs, AMD hadn't had its new Ryzen 7000 series "Zen 4" CPUs out in the wild. Now that the Ryzen 9 7950X is out in the wild, Intel has benchmarked it and compared it against its new Core i9-13900K "Raptor Lake" CPU, which looks like a complete gaming beast.

UL has just announced a new update for 3DMark and its new NVIDIA DLSS feature test, which adds both DLSS 3 and DLSS Frame Generation into the mix.

NVIDIA's new Ada Lovelace GPU architecture is the only one that supports DLSS 3 and DLSS Frame Generation, with the only graphics card on the market so far capable of this test being the new flagship GeForce RTX 4090. The newly updated 3DMark NVIDIA DLSS feature tests were developed in partnership with NVIDIA.

You can now run the NVIDIA DLSS feature test with DLSS 3, DLSS 2, or DLSS 1 -- with DLSS 3 packing DLSS Frame Generation -- while users can tweak image quality modes between Quality, Performance, and Ultra Performance. DLSS Frame Generation uses the Ada Lovelace GPU architecture and its super-performing AI to increase frame rates considerably, by generating additional high-quality frames, while optimizing responsiveness using NVIDIA Reflex technology.

Just as I had finished off reviewing the big wave of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards, with some overclocking, ray tracing, DLSS 3, and 8K benchmarks all on the way... fresh rumors of AMD's next-gen RDNA 3 GPU architecture are here... and boy, they're juicy.

AMD's next-gen RDNA 3 GPU architecture will reportedly be led by the flagship Navi 31 GPU, with leaker "Greymon55" tweeting out that some AIBs have already got their Navi 31 chips and are "testing them" right now. That should make sense, given that AMD is launching its next-gen Radeon RX 7000 series "RDNA 3" GPUs on November 3.

But in some follow-up tweets, Greymon55 was asked if he knew the final rasterization and RT performance on Navi 31, to which Greymon55 replied "2X" but then he was asked again about RT, to which he responded very simply with "more". So we should expect twice the performance of the Radeon RX 6900 XT in raster, and over twice the performance in RT-powered games, lining up with rumors and expectations over the last 12-18 months.

It must be the month for connectivity and cable upgrades with USB4 v2 specifications announced yesterday, while the day before we had DisplayPort 2.1 and its beefed-up specs teased, and today we have Intel with a tease of the next generation of Thunderbolt connectivity.

Intel's next-gen Thunderbolt connectivity was aligned to the USB Implementer's Forum's (USB-IF) release of the new USB4 v2 specifications, with the next-gen Thunderbolt driving up to 80Gbps of bi-directional bandwidth, which will unleash up to 120Gbps for totally next-gen display and connectivity experiences.

Thunderbolt 4 currently pumps out up to 40Gbps of bandwidth, so the drive up to 80Gbps is a doubling in bandwidth, while the huge 120Gbps of bandwidth is 3x what Thunderbolt 4 is capable of today. Intel's new Thunderbolt standard will also support the just-released DisplayPort 2.1 specification and is backward compatible with previous versions of Thunderbolt, USB, and DisplayPort.

Konami today revealed another new Silent Hill game and it could be an episodic-style psychological horror experience.

Following the big Silent Hill 2 remake, Konami also announced Silent Hill Townfall, a new game from Annapurna Interactive (Stray, Twelve Minutes) and horror game dev No Code (Observation, Untold Stories). Not a lot of details were revealed about the project, but given No Code's penchant for unnerving cerebral terror, we're expecting that Townfall will be a real mind-bender.

No release date or platform was revealed for Townfall, however earlier reports suggest the game will be an episodic type of game possibly with multiple chapters. This was not confirmed in the recent stream.

Konami has revealed the official Silent Hill 2 remake from Bloober Team, and it's coming exclusively to PlayStation 5.

Today Konami finally revealed more info on its plans for Silent Hill, a long-dormant franchise. The first project is a remake of Silent Hill 2 from Layers of Fear developer Bloober Team that will only be releasing on PlayStation 5.

Bloober Team says it is working closely with the original creators of Silent Hill including Masahiro Ito and Akira Yamaoka.

Cyberpunk 2077 continues its success streak as millions of players log into the game over the past month.

After tons of updates and a new-gen release, CD Projekt RED has successfully redeemed Cyberpunk 2077. The game was a mega-hit at launch, selling over 13 million copies and helping CDPR make more money than it ever has before, but those earnings came at a controversial cost. Now it looks like CD Projekt has paid those debts.

Today the devs confirmed a big milestone for Cyberpunk 2077. Over 1 million players have logged in every day consecutively over a four-week period. These are huge numbers--1 million daily active users is something you'd expect to see in a live game, not a singleplayer-only RPG-FPS hybrid.
