God of War Ragnarok is right around the corner, with gamers waiting quite a while for this next-gen gaming ride from Santa Monica Studio... and man, 4K 120FPS is going to be an option.

If you're gaming on a PlayStation 5 and a high-end 4K 120Hz TV or gaming monitor with HDMI 2.1, the developer is offering a multitude of graphics options for PS5 gamers. If you want the best quality, there's a "Favor Resolution" option in God of War Ragnarok which locks it to 4K 30FPS.

But if you want 60FPS then God of War Ragnarok has a "Performance" mode, but then we've got the HDMI 2.1-only Favor Resolution and Favor Performance (both with High Frame Rate enabled). Favor Resolution is locked to 4K 40FPS, while Favor Performance drives dynamic 4K up to 120FPS on the PS5 (both with HDMI 2.1 enabled, to be clear).

NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card is now rocking along in desktop gaming PCs with some truly unbelievable power under its hood, and now we're getting some updates on the GeForce RTX 40 mobile GPUs.

The upcoming GeForce RTX 40 series mobile GPUs should offer some truly next-gen gaming laptop performance, where we're now hearing the "GN21-X11" GPU will be powering the GeForce RTX 4090 Mobile GPU. Under that, we've got the "GN21-X9" GPU powering the GeForce RTX 4080 Ti Mobile, and the "GN21-X6" GPU powering the GeForce RTX 4070 Mobile.

Under that, we'll get new mid-range gaming laptops with the "GN21-X4" GPU inside of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Mobile, while finally, the last one is the "GN21-X2" GPU powering GeForce RTX 4060 Mobile.

GIGABYTE has unleashed its next-gen Z790 motherboards now Intel has released their new 13th Gen Core "Raptor Lake" family of CPUs, led by the Core i9-13900K... which has an easy 6GHz overclocking mode on their new Z790 boards.

GIGABYTE's new Z790 motherboards will feature an "Instant 6GHz" feature for the flagship Intel Core i9-13900K processor, which boosts up to 5.8GHz by default, while another 200MHz will push it up to 6GHz easily. GIGABYTE's new Z790 motherboards will automatically tweak CPU voltage and Vcore Load Line Calibration to detect the most two optimized cores running at 6.0GHz.

I don't think most people will even bother, but there are some that will want to easily overclock their new Core i9-13900K processor to 6.0GHz, with GIGABYTE making it easier to hit those crazy frequencies. You'll only be getting around 3% more performance boost on a single core, but every MHz counts, we all know that.

COLORFUL has one of the best air-cooled GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards that money can buy, with its custom iGame GeForce RTX 4090 Vulcan OC-V impressing me so much in my review... but, what about the liquid-cooled iGame RTX 4090 Neptune OC?

The new custom COLORFUL iGame GeForce RTX 4090 Neptune OC graphics card has the highest TGP of any GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards on the market, with the iGame RTX 4090 Neptune OC driving up to a huge 630W TGP. There are plenty of models that are under 500W, and a few over 500W... but this is the first to hit a huge 635W.

COLORFUL's new iGame GeForce RTX 4090 Neptune OC graphics card is similar to MSI's custom GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM LIQUID X, but COLORFUL has a bigger AIO cooler. MSI is using a 240mm AIO cooler on its RTX 4090 SUPRIM LIQUID X, whereas COLORFUL has a larger 360mm AIO cooler on its iGame RTX 4090 Neptune OC graphics card.

EVGA might not have any high-end GeForce RTX 4090 or even any, like, any GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs at all... given that the company terminated its relationship with NVIDIA, but that hasn't stopped EVGA from continuing to improve its Precision X1 software.

The latest EVGA Precision X1 software was pushed out over the weekend, with v1.3.7.0 supporting NVIDIA's new AD102-based GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card. The software provides GPU and GDDR6X memory overclocking, overvoltage, as well as thermal and power limit adjustment.

EVGA's own Precision X1 overclocking software isn't the best software to push your GeForce RTX 4090, or any GeForce GPU, but if you want to use it, it's now available for your GeForce RTX 4090. MSI Afterburner is far better, and it also supports overclocking AMD Radeon RX series graphics cards, whereas EVGA's Precision X1 overclocking software only supports NVIDIA GeForce GPUs.

AMD will be detailing its upcoming Radeon RX 7000 series "RDNA 3" graphics cards in just over a weeks time, but now we're hearing more about the new Radeon RX 7900 XT... where it will feature 20GB of GDDR6 memory, but get this: it's not the flagship model.

The new information on AMD's upcoming Radeon RX 7900 XT graphics card comes from Wccftech, which is reporting that the Navi 31-based Radeon RX 7900 XT "is reportedly not the flagship model". Inside, their sources tease that 20GB of memory will be included, running alongside the next-gen Navi 31 GPU with the 20GB GDDR6 memory spread out on a 320-bit memory bus.

We were expecting more VRAM on AMD's flagship Radeon RX 7000 series GPU, but Wccftech is reporting that the Radeon RX 7950 XT will feature the full 24GB of GDDR6 memory on the larger 384-bit memory bus.

Red Dead Online Stadia players will be able to transfer their saves and progress over to another platform, but only if they meet this requirement.

Stadia is about to close down, but some developers are allowing players to transfer their hard-earned progress over to another platform. Much to the delight of players who have sunk hundreds or thousands of hours into the gamer, Rockstar Games is letting Stadia players migrate their Red Dead Online saves over to PC, PS4, or Xbox One (other examples also include Bethesda migrating Elder Scrolls Online data over as well).

There's just one catch...and it's a pretty big one. There's actually a cut off date to qualify for the migration path. To migrate your saves over to PC, you have to have logged into Red Dead Online 30 days before Google announced the closure of Stadia on September 29, 2022.

Japanese automaker Mitsubishi presented its XFC Concept compact SUV at an event in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The car will be available in Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN): Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The concept vehicle isn't a replacement for the Mitsubishi ASX, which is in European markets as a rebadged Renault Captur.

Mitsubishi included front panel straight lines and a spacious interior paired with a large trunk. It's noticeably more sculpted than what the Japanese automaker does with current car designs.

1990s PlayStation classic Parasite Eve may be the next Square Enix game to make a comeback.

Square Enix just filed a new trademark for Symbiogenesis in Japan, which could indicate a revival of its Parasite Eve franchise, or at least a spiritual successor. The term itself is defined as the "merging of two separate organisms to form a new single organism" which directly relates to the bio-horror game's central plot.

Originally published in 1998, Parasite Eve saw three releases across multiple PlayStation consoles (the first two games launched on PS1, and the Third Birthday launched on PS3). Interestingly enough, Square Enix may not be able to use the actual Parasite Eve name for this new project even if it is related to the original series.

Valve has expressed interest in bringing Game Pass to Steam, but could the megaton $70 billion Microsoft-Activision merger change things?

Back in February 2022, Valve's head honcho Gabe Newell said he'd like to work with Microsoft to get Xbox Game Pass on Steam. "We'd be more than happy to work with them to get that on Steam," Newell had told PC Gamer at the time.

Interestingly enough, Newell said this a month after Microsoft publicly announced that it wanted to purchase Activision-Blizzard for $70 billion. On the surface, it looks like Newell and Valve as a whole would be okay with integrating Xbox Game Pass onto Steam on a post-merger level, which could include multiple access points to big PC games like Call of Duty, Diablo, and possibly even World of Warcraft.

The Biden Administration has continued to promote clean energy efforts, though it's extremely likely oil and gas executives hope for the GOP to take back control of the House of Representatives.

If the GOP wins control in November, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has vowed to hold hearings related to the impact on automakers and the oil industry as the market transitions towards EVs. Steam has set a new concurrent player record, signalling that the PC gaming market is growing rapidly.

There are more gamers currently playing on Steam than there ever have been before. According to new figures from Steam DB and Valve's own Steam Charts database, over 30 million people logged on Steam in the last 24 hours. This is a new concurrent player milestone record that clearly underlines that the PC market is not only growing, but Valve's storefront-platform is more competitive than ever.

So what games are players currently engaged with? The most-played list is made up of the usual suspects. At the time of writing there are nearly 27 million concurrent users on Steam, and the charts see Counter-Strike Global Offensive reigning supreme with over 760,000 players in game, followed up by over 670,000 DOTA 2 players. Lost Ark is high on the list with over 200,000 players, and PUBG is also hitting over 200,000. EA's billion-dollar battle royale Apex Legends is a little under 150,000 on Steam right now.

The parent company behind one of the biggest fashion brands in the world has decided to cut ties with Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, following several comments the rapper made on social media.

The news broke when Kering, Balenciaga's parent company, released its third-quarter results on Thursday, where it stated that Balenciaga would no longer be working on any new or current projects with Ye. The news was confirmed by Kering, who said in response to a question by WWD that "Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist". Notably, Ye only recently collaborated with Balenciaga for a Yeezy Gap line earlier this year.

Furthermore, Gap announced a 10-year deal with Ye for the Yeezy Gap brand in 2020, but that deal has seemingly been thrown out the window after Ye announced that the partnership between him and Gap would end over "substantial noncompliance." Mark Breitbard, president and CEO of Gap Brand, wrote in an email that it decided to "wind down the partnership" because their "vision is not aligned." Gap and Balenciaga aren't the only two prominent brands moving away from Ye, as Adidas has also said that it's reviewing its partnership with the rapper.

A new study has detailed a discovery with the most common type of star in the universe, red dwarf stars, and how the relationship between these stars and the planets orbiting around them may make it much easier for astronomers to identify planets that can support life.

The new study published in the Astrophysical Journal Letters focuses on a planet named GJ 1252b, which orbits a red dwarf star approximately 45 light-years from our Sun. Astronomers honed in on this planet and learned that it doesn't have an atmosphere due to its proximity to its red dwarf star. GJ 1252b orbits its companion star twice every one Earth day, and because it's so close to its host star, it's exposed to large amounts of heat that makes it impossible to maintain a viable atmosphere for life.

An example of a similar situation that is occurring a little closer to home is Mercury and how the Sun is making it extremely difficult for the planet to maintain its atmosphere. Mercury does have an atmosphere, but it's extremely thin, as the Sun is quite literally blasting it away with its radiation. A similar scenario is happening to GJ 1252b, but on a much more extreme level. For instance, GJ 1252b has an estimated surface temperature of 2,242 degrees Fahrenheit, which is hot enough to melt gold, silver, and copper.

Carbon dioxide emissions caused by fossil fuel burning will rise by under 1% in 2022, a fraction of the 2021 results, according to an International Energy Agency (IEA) study.

CO2 emissions are expected to increase by 300 million metric tons in 2022 to a total of 33.8 billion tons. However, it's a noticeable drop from the 2 billion tons added in 2021. The report predicts CO2 emissions from 2022 could have reached 1 billion tons without renewable energy adoption rising.

Here are the largest CO2 emitters in the world: China, United States, European Union, India, Russia, and Japan lead the list - all of those countries account for almost half the global human population. Looking back to 1990, the EU is the sector best at reducing greenhouse gases, dropping 27.3% lower than 1990 metrics.

The demand for semiconductors in vehicles remains a challenge for electric vehicle automakers as the year winds down. It's not just one sector in the changing auto market that requires semiconductors, because the chips are needed for autonomous vehicles, connected cars, and the push toward electrification.

The market is beginning to stabilize but the demand for EVs and other models that demand more semiconductors is only accelerating.

During Q1 2021, around 670,000 vehicles across the world were stuck in the production stage of assembly, according to IHS Markit.

TikTok's parent company ByteDance has been busted for using TikTok's location data to plan to spy on US citizens' physical locations.

According to newly surfaced documents obtained by Forbes, a team of Chinese-based members of ByteDance have been caught planning to spy on American citizens using TikTok's location data, which the company claims is only used to show relevant content and necessary advertising to users of the app.

Forbes reports that the team was going to use TikTok's location data to monitor the personal locations of specific Americans and that the team behind the project is ByteDance's Internal Audit and Risk Control department, which is led by Beijing-based executive Song Ye, who reports directly to ByteDance's cofounder and CEO Rubo Liang. Notably, the Internal Audit team primarily conducts investigations into former employees that have potentially performed misconduct at the company.

A highly detailed photograph of an ant's face has seemingly gone viral after many people were shocked at how horrifying ants look close-up.

The above photograph was taken by wildlife photographer Eugenijus Kavaliauskas, which he entered into Nikon's 2022 Photomicrography competition. The image reveals the finest of details of the ant's face, with some people online claiming the face is straight out of a nasty horror film. The image gained a considerable amount of traction on Reddit, with some users asking which species of ant was in the image and how come it has such a demonic look to it.

Users explained that the red eyes seen at the base of the antenna aren't actually the ant's eyes at all, they are the rotating part of the ant's antenna and that the way the photo has been cropped and edited with the vignette, it makes it look like that they're its eyes. The ant's actual eyes are located further back on the head and aren't seen in the image.

NASA has taken to its blog and social channels to showcase Herbig-Haro objects known as HH1 and HH2, located 1,250 light years away from Earth.

Both of these objects reside in the constellation Orion, and according to NASA, the luminous cloud above the bright star in the upper right-hand corner of the image is HH 1, and HH 2 is the cloud in the bottom left-hand corner. These stellar nurseries are the birthplace of new stars and were created by a star system that is located directly in the center of the image. Unfortunately, the star system is shrouded in thick clouds of dust, hence the black center.

Notably, Herbig-Haro objects are simply glowing clumps that are found around newborn stars, and they form when new stars hurl jets of gas outwards at incredibly high speeds. This hurled gas then collides with the surrounding gas and dust, forming the clumps seen in the above image. Additionally, NASA writes that Hubble observations have revealed that some parts of HH 1 are moving at extremely high speeds, with some observations showing that parts of the stellar nursery are traveling at 248 miles per second, or 892,800 miles per hour.

SpaceX has released a video that showcases the two key components of the Starship launch vehicle, the mode of transportation slated to take the first humans to Mars.

Elon Musk's company took to its Twitter account on October 24 to share an awesome video of the Launch and Catch tower nicknamed "Mechazilla" using its "chopstick" arms to lift Ship 24 on top of Booster 7, which occurred on October 20. The two components that makeup Starship, Ship 24 and Booster 7, complete the 394-foot-tall rocket.

Ship 24 measures 164 feet long, and Booster 7, or Super Heavy, comes in at a whopping 230 feet long. Together they create Starship, which SpaceX is currently preparing for its very first orbital test flight, hence the stacking. Elon Musk's company is currently in deep preparation for the first orbital test flight, and if all testing goes well, the company may conduct the first orbital test within the next couple of months.
