ECOXGEAR working with SunCore on solar-powered portable electronics
CES 2015 - Speaker and audio company ECOXGEAR is now working with SunCore, a semiconductor solar-based product company, to develop the ECOXGEAR high-density solar panels. The lure of solar-powered outdoors products isn't necessarily new, but was rather inefficient until recently.
The PV panel technology utilizes a solar panel made with a 3D crystalline structure, so light is captured more efficiently during daylight hours. The SunCore solar panels are more efficient than traditional panels, so ECOXGEAR HD solar panels will be able to save more energy each day.
"By exclusively utilizing SunCore's impressive solar technology, we will be able to give our users an untethered experience like no other," said Greg Fadul, ECOXGEAR co-founder. "Our devices will harness the incredible power of the sun at all times of the day, literally making the brightest star in the galaxy your power plug."

Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai blasts 'malicious' cyberattack against company

Kazuo Hirai, president and CEO of Sony, spoke out against the cyberattack that hit Sony Pictures, while applauding employees for their resolve.
The Guardians of Peace made it a rough end of the year for Sony Pictures, crippling the company, leaking embarassing emails, stealing data, and terrorizing former and current employees - and it remains a rather trying time for employees.
Both Sony, former employees and current employees were the victim of one of the most vicious and malicious cyberattacks in recent history," Hirai said. "I have to say that I'm very proud of all the employees, and certainly the partners who stood up against the extortionist efforts of criminals, and worked tirelessly, sometimes for days on end to bring you 'The Interview,'"

VPRO announce their mechanical gaming keyboard range
CES 2015 - Rapoo sub-brand VPRO has used CES 2015 as their launching platform for their new mechanical keyboard offerings - the V700 and V800.
Unfortunately there is no mention in their recently issued press release if they are Cherry MX mechanical switches or not, but either way these new products are worth a look at. Set for shipment in Spring 2015, the V700 keyboard claims 50 g of operating force and 2mm of key travel distance needed to function - this seems to hint that something like Cherry MX Black keys are being used within.
Alongside this key configuration, the V700 offers 106 out of 108 of the keys as fully programmable through their 32-bit ARM core processor labeled as their "VPOWER3 Gaming Chip." Expect this board to last an extended 60 million keystrokes and feature no backlighting options.

The chip will publicly launch during Q3 or Q4 this year, with partners including Fossil Group, MICA and Opening Ceremony, SMS Audio, and Basis Peak.

First full 'Ant-Man' trailer teased online by Marvel
Marvel Studios have released their first look at this year's release of 'Ant-Man', which stars Paul Rudd and which will premiere just a few months after the studios other big hit in the making; 'The Avengers: The Age of Ultron'.
Much like last year's 'Guardians of the Galaxy', 'Ant-Man' will need to overcome low general awareness if it wants to ring in the big bucks, but may face an even greater uphill battle due to the much publicised behind the-scenes battles which culminated in the original director, Edgar Wright of 'Hot Fuzz' and 'The World's End' fame, departing last year. Still, if anyone can do it, Marvel can - its track record speaks for itself.
'Ant-Man' is released in the United States on July 17th.
