Watch Dogs 2 PC port delayed to ensure uncapped FPS, 4K
Watch Dogs 2's PC port has been delayed to November 29 to ensure the game launches with key PC features intact, including multi-GPU support, 4K support, uncapped FPS, and much more.
Ubisoft is taking Watch Dogs 2 very, very seriously, so they've delayed the game two weeks on PC. The publisher affirms this delay will ensure a number of PC-specific features at launch, including 4K support, no FPS cap and frame rate optimization, full SLI/CrossFire support with multi-GPU setups

Tesla's Gigafactory event scheduled for January
While everyone is expecting Elon Musk's 'unexpected announcement' on Wednesday, Tesla Motors confirmed to Electrek they will host an event at Tesla Gigafactory on January 4th, 2017.
The event will be the first one held at Tesla's Gigafactory in Nevada after its grand-opening on July 29th. It is expected that many investors will show up and see where their money is going, and it will certainly be interesting to see how the factory changed in the past few months.
Since July, the company started the construction on four additional sections so the factory, which is huge as it is, could be almost twice bigger. It will be the world's second-largest building by usable space, smaller than only the Boeing Everett Factory, and the world's largest building by physical area.

Red Dead Redemption 2 won't launch on PC
After breaking the internet with image teases, Rockstar Games finally announced Red Dead Redemption 2. Sadly, there's no mention of a PC release at launch.
In a Facebook post, Rockstar revealed that Red Dead Redemption 2's Fall 2017 release date applies to PS4 and Xbox One, meaning PC gamers will have to wait...again. This isn't anything new for PC gamers; we've waited a year and a half for GTA V to launch on PC, but it was well worth the wait, and I'm expecting RDR2 will be as well. Think of it this way; console gamers will be essentially beta testing the game for its impending PC launch.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will usher in online multiplayer to the Red Dead franchise, likely carrying over Rockstar's GTA Online mechanics to the Western frontier. The studio affirms that RDR2 will feature "a new kind of multiplayer experience," hinting the online mechanics will be different than the wildly successful GTA Online.

Red Dead Redemption 2 includes online play, out in 2017
After two days of teasing, Rockstar Games has finally let the cat out of the bag: it's Red Dead Redemption 2, folks.
Rockstar today announced Red Dead Redemption 2, a sequel to 2011's landmark Red Dead Redemption. It'll feature an "epic tale of life in America's unforgiving heartland," and deliver a "brand new multiplayer experience." Since Rockstar just filed a trademark for Red Dead Online, we could expect to see a more dynamic GTA Online-style online system for RDR2. Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch Fall 2017 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and a trailer will drop this Thursday at 11am EST.
"Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America's unforgiving heartland. The game's vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience."

Qualcomm's new 5G modem is up to 400x faster than 4G
Qualcomm has announced its amazingly fast 5G technology, with their first 5G devices set to arrive in the first half of 2018. During the Qualcomm 4G/5G Summit held in Hong Kong, the company announced its first 5G modem, the new Snapdragon X50, which rocks some seriously amazing speeds.
The new Snapdragon X50 handles up to 5Gbps down, which might not sound like much, but you're probably getting less than 100Mbps on your smartphone right now (seriously, go do a speed test and comment back here with your results). Even at the higher-end of the 4G spectrum, we are only seeing around 300Mbps these days - and maxing out at 450Mbps with 4G LTE, so 5000Mbps (5Gbps) is just amazing.
Qualcomm teases that Snapdragon X50-powered devices "are expected to be available during the first half of 2018", which lines up with the 5G standard being finalized.

Red Dead Online trademarked by Rockstar Games
Rockstar's new Red Dead game may have its own online component similar to the mega-popular Grand Theft Auto Online.
Rockstar Games and its parent company Take-Two Interactive have trademarked a Red Dead Online domain name, strongly hinting that the new Red Dead 3 will have dynamic online features. Given the wild success of GTA Online, it's no surprise that Take-Two wants to apply the revenue-earning scheme to its other popular IPs, namely the Western-themed Red Dead franchise.
The studio has already issued out two teaser pics for the new Red Dead game, the second of which apparently shows the legendary gunslingers of the Magnificent Seven.

Kingpin uses 4 x Titan X cards to break 3DMark record
I've just a single Titan X and absolutely love it, it's freakin' ridiculously fast - but four of them in tandem? Be still my beating heart.
Legendary overclocker Vince "K|ngp|n" Lucido has set a new 3DMark FireStrike Extreme record, with 40,115 points - making K|ngp|n the first person in the world to reach over 40,000 points. It wasn't an easy task, but K|ngp|n had some of the fastest hardware on the planet helping him, and the same stuff that ended up damaging the T-1000 in Terminator 2: liquid nitrogen.
K|ngp|n used four of NVIDIA's new Pascal-based Titan X graphics cards, with the GPUs clocked at 2.2GHz, with them installed into an EVGA X99 FTW K motherboard and an Intel Core i7-6950X processor at a huge 5227MHz, all cooled with LN2. 32GB of G.Skill DDR4 RAM was used, with EVGA's SuperNova NEX 1600W power supply keeping everything running.

Samsung's new Quantum Dot display rocks 144Hz FreeSync
Samsung first teased its new Quantum Dot-based monitor at Gamescom and IFA earlier this year, with the CFG70 being the world's first curved gaming monitor with Quantum Dot technology, and a super-quick 144Hz refresh rate, backed by AMD's FreeSync technology.
How does Quantum Dot technology work? It's used to increase brightness, improve color accuracy, and reach higher color saturations - all good things for monitors. It uses nanoparticles that filter light from LEDs into primary colors for LCDs, which provides a much larger range of colors to display. Samsung has been using Quantum Dot technology inside of TVs for a while, but now we have the 24-inch and 27-inch gaming monitors that are the first to use Quantum Dot tech.
Samsung has used a 1920x1080 native resolution on both displays, with 125% sRGB, 3000:1 contrast ratio, and a massive 144Hz refresh rate that's backed by AMD's FreeSync technology. We also have an 1800R curved VA panel with 178-degree viewing angles, and something Samsung calls Eye Saver mode and Flicker Free technology that removes the blue light that as PC Gamer says "throws your body clock out of line when you're on your PC at night".

Sleeping Dogs dev United Front Games shutting down
The Vancover-based indie studio United Front Games, the devs behind Sleeping Dogs, is shutting down.
Although United Front Games just put out their most recent Early Access game Smash+Grab this month, the studio is apparently shutting down as per NeoGAF reports.
The dev team hasn't posted anything to Twitter or Facebook just yet, but you can no longer purchase Smash+Grab on Steam, so it's likely true. Best known for making the excellent open-world uncover yakuza game Sleeping Dogs, United Front Games was one of Canda's largest games studios.

Friday 13th gets a bitter-sweet delay scheduled for 2017
A bitter-sweet finish is coming to the frightening and suspense filled 'Friday the 13th' game. Developer Gun Media has announced that they will be delaying the game's release as the company will be adding a single player experience in addition to the multiplayer mode.
The studio stated: "While the addition of single player and AI bots means a bigger game for all, they also mean a delay from a fall 2016 release window to a new launch window scheduled for spring 2017."
The single player feature will include online and offline play that will allow gamers to complete missions that come direct from the films. Character Tommy Jarvis, known for killing the infamous 'Jason' will join team line-up as a new playable map, 'Packanack Lodge' will now be featured in the exclusive content. Customers who backed via Kickstarter or pre-ordered the game will be given access to beta at the end of 2016, whilst the multiplayer game release has now been scheduled for 2017, with the single-player (including AI bots) version planned not far behind.

Riot Games drop a Sandbox scoop for League of Legends
It was thought that after Riot Games spoke to audiences earlier this year, the idea of a sandbox mode for hit game 'League of Legends' was certainly out of the question, the news created much talk between players as the vibe wasn't pleasant. Though recent announcements made by the company, comes bearing good news! Riot has been making headlines with their change of heart towards the sandbox mode.
Riot's post announcing the Practice Tool teased: "We are doing our best to make this tool inclusive to people at every level. Everyone from Bronze to Challenger should see value in a single-player training mode to practice mechanics and map movement, but we're currently not looking to develop a multiplayer training tool for organized team drills or pro-play specifically. Once we get the first version out, we'll pay close attention to see if we missed anything in terms of how to become better by yourself."
With this announcement made it means that the practice tool is very much in the works. The feature will allow gamers to be able obtain the following:

Diablo alum David Brevik isn't working on Diablo 4
David Brevik, one of the original founders of Blizzard North and the Diablo series, has officially confirmed he isn't working on Diablo IV.
If you've followed our past Diablo coverage, you already know that Diablo IV is almost assuredly in the works. Now there's a rumor going around that Diablo IV could be unveiled at Blizzcon 2016, as per a cryptic teaser Blizzard may have put on a D4 dice found in a Blizzcon goodie bag.
Other rumors say that David Brevik was recently seen at Blizzard's offices, possibly working on the new Diablo game. Speculation was further fueled when Tweeted about being "proud to be the adviser for the game that pushes this genre to new heights," and everyone thought this meant Brevik was working on Diablo again.

Diablo 4 could be revealed at Blizzcon 2016
We know that Blizzard is working on a new Diablo project, and I recently predicted that the project would be unveiled at Blizzcon 2016. It could be Diablo IV, or maybe even the Diablo II HD remaster, but now we have even more evidence of a major Diablo-related reveal at the event next month.
There's quite a bit of evidence that Blizzard is making Diablo IV, and most of it is official: Blizzard originally posted a listing for a Diablo game director for a "new unannounced game" that will "lead the Diablo series into the future," and the studio is also hiring other positions like a senior concept artist that will help tell the "countless stories left to tell in the Diablo universe."
Now it looks like Blizzard has hidden a little cryptic teaser in its Blizzcon 2016 goodie bags, hinting we could see Diablo IV unveiled at the event. According to YouTuber Rhykker, Blizzard put something special on the four-sided "D4" dice found in the Blizzcon 2016 goodie bag: the numbers 11 and 4.

Life on ISS in 1 minute: How do they wash laundry, sleep
Astronaut Reid Wiseman spent 165 days in space, on the International Space Station. Wiseman took part in his first spaceflight as part of the crew of Expedition 40/41, which launched to the International Space Station on May 28, 2014, and returned on November 10, 2014.
In the latest video, published by NASA, Wiseman responded to numerous questions about his experience in space. The video lasts only one minute, but in it Wiseman answers some very interesting questions about life 400 kilometers above Earth.
Weisman discovered where astronauts go to the toilet, how much they exercise, wash their laundry and what was his favorite food. Check the full video below.

Autonomous Mercedes programmed to sacrifice pedestrians
During the past two weeks, I ran two polls about self-driving cars. In the first one, I asked whether you would you put your trust in a self-driving car and 69% of the voters said yes. The second poll was a bit trickier and contained one of the biggest issues and moral dilemmas related to the self-driving cars - if an accident is inevitable, who should the self-driving car 'sacrifice' - the passengers or pedestrians? 53% of the voters think the pedestrians should be sacrificed to save the passengers, which is much lower percentage than the recent study showed. In that study, the participants got the same question, and 75% of the voters decided to sacrifice pedestrians for the well-being of the passengers.
There is also a question of who would spend money on a self-driving car which isn't designed to protect its driver and passengers.
If you ask Mercedes-Benz, they don't have that dilemma. Their self-driving car will be programmed to save the driver and the passengers, and not the pedestrians. That's the decision they are going to stick with and implement in they upcoming Level 4 and Level 5 autonomous cars. Instead of worrying about ethics, Mercedes will program its cars to save the driver and its passengers at all costs and in every situation.
