Resident Evil 7 first in the series to support 4K, HDR
Resident Evil 7 will be the first game in the franchise to support 4K and HDR on the PC, while Sony's slightly quicker PS4 Pro console will run it at native 4K resolution.
Capcom has pumped in highly detailed textures, even on the PS4 Pro, which has furniture and walls looking extremely good according to a few gaming outlets that have laid eyes on Resident Evil 7. Capcom has confirmed my personal fear: Resident Evil 7 will be sold on the Windows Store, which is one of the worst things ever created.
There will be cross-save functionality between the Xbox and PC versions of Resident Evil 7, which is a good touch - while the PS4 version of the game will support PlayStation VR.

Terry Crews would love to voice an Overwatch hero
It was only last Wednesday when Terry Crews called out to all gamers to cancel all their weekend plans to play Overwatch.
This move have made quite a buzz among the gaming community as he have not only build his own computer recently, but he is also collaborating with PC water cooling expert, JayzTwocents, to build a themed computer which you can help him decide in this strawpoll. His choices are Old Spice and President Camacho from Idiocracy .
Yet, the real kicker is that he answered personally to the plea of redditor SleepyRicky , in the Overwatch subreddit, to let him voiced the rumored hero Doomfist. He states: "I would LOVE TO PLAY DOOMFIST", if the character becomes a official hero.

Base building coming soon to No Man's Sky
The dust has settled somewhat on the No Man's Sky debacle, so it's a good a time as any for developer Hello Games to reveal its next stage of post-launch support. Dubbed the Foundation Update, this soon to come patch will add in base building basics and the framework for future patches.
Nine weeks in development, Hello says "it won't be our biggest update, but it is the start of something", later describing it as "the first small step in a longer journey."
While the announcement is subtly worded, it's clear what it means when reading between the lines: now that the polish is taken care of, it's time to add in the features and depth that players have been wanting so badly since release.

Final Fantasy XV on PS4 Pro has slight FPS issues?
Reports indicate that Final Fantasy XV played on Sony's new 4K-ready PS4 Pro might suffer a small frame pacing issue while panning the camera in specific areas, possibly negating the additional optimized and graphical enhancements enabled by the console itself.
According to a recent video uploaded by YouTuber deepo, Final Fantasy XV has some noticable camera lag while played on the PS4 Pro. The lag isn't anywhere to be found in the same area while playing the game in the PS4 Pro's normal default PS4 mode. Deepo notes that this small hitch seems to be isolated in the tutorial area only, so there may not be any cause for alarm. Since we don't have access to the game just yet, we can't verify or squash the reports, but this isn't the first time we've seen the PS4 Pro games technically run worse than their PS4 counterparts.
Final Fantasy XV supports Sony's new PlayStation 4 Pro with two modes: Lite Mode (aka Lightweight Mode) which optimizes higher frame rates to ensure 1080p 60FPS, and High Image Quality Mode (aka High Mode) which enables higher fidelity at upscaled 4K 30FPS. The game is set to Lite Mode by default, but players can also reset the game to it's default PS4 mode while playing on the PS4 Pro.

The Last of Us 2 might be revealed next week
Rumor has it that The Last of US 2 could be officially unveiled at Sony's PlayStation Experience event next month.
Gamers are speculating that The Last of Us 2 could show up at the PSX 2016 event on December 1 alongside Sony's major first-party PS4 exclusives. According to well-known games insider Shinobi602, gamers may not have to "wait as long as E3 2017" for the sequel to be announced. Shinobi has a spot-on track record for teases and predictions, so we might see the game unveiled in just a week.
While the rumor is admittedly shaky, Naughty Dog has apparently been developing The Last of Us 2 since 2014. Voice actor Nolan North outright confirmed the sequel would be happening, and Naughty Dog writer Josh Scherr also slipped up and mentioned The Last of Us 2 on a livestream session.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 has 27 km² game world
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is something we reported on yesterday, as it will launch in April 2017 with multi-GPU support, but no DX12 support - developer CI Games is really aiming for the stars when it comes to the game world they've created.
CI Games has teased the world of Sniper: Ghost World 3, with the team working on a truly gigantic game world. One of the big notes is that there will be no loading screens while moving on one map, but transitioning between maps will have a load screen. Thing is, you kinda need a loading screen when the world is freakin' 27 km² world, which is "full of interesting encounters, challenges and bad guys to defeat".
As for how long it'll take for players to fully complete the game, CI Games says that: "Our goal is it to deliver an immersive experience of being Jon North, highly skilled and well trained Black Ops soldier, that is also a human being which has feelings, doubts and aspirations".

Catch a level 10 Salamence Pokemon in Sun & Moon Edition
Pokémon Sun and Moon brought to Nintendo 3DS by 'Game Freak' and 'The Pokémon Company', now gets even better with the ability to obtain a level 10 Salamence on the first island.
In order to catch the dragon-like Pokémon, players will have to have completed their first island trial, wild pokémon will then become more prone to using the SOS mechanic to call for help. After this, users will finish Mallow's Trial on the second island so that they can purchase Adrenaline Orbs, increasing the chance of a wild Pokémon calling for help.
Once this task is completed, players will go towards Route 3 on Melemele Isand and then cross the bridge to the patch of grass on the right. When the Bagon finally appears (may take some time) immediately reduces its HP as low as possible and then go in for the catch.

Nintendo classic Wave Race could make a future return
The Nintendo Gameboy 1992 classic "Wave Race" has been generating rumours online for a comeback to gaming consoles.
The company recently filed for trademark rights with the European Union Intellectual Property Office, otherwise known as a Class 9 registration (game software). After the game debuted in 1992, it then saw release on the Nintendo 64 in 1996, and then finally GameCube in 2001. Whilst no official game launch has been scheduled for any Nintendo next-gen consoles just yet, one can only hope it's in future plans.
All we know thus far is that Nintendo filed for the registration, but may also be for copyright purposes and nothing more. Looks like gamers will have to wait and see if the recent actions by Nintendo turn into anything more?

EA adds counterproductive gifting feature to Origin
EA have added a new feature to Origin and it's one that their competitor, Steam, have been doing for such a long time: Gifting.
Yet, once again, instead of boosting its game sales via this method, it has shot itself in the foot by imposing heavy restriction such as:
Amidst all of this, you can still gift your friend a higher edition of a game your friend already own. You will be paying the full cost compared to a more wallet friendly upgrade cost. But, as gameranx noted: "It might be better to just send your friend money over PayPal or Google Wallet if you want to do that.".

LEGO City Undercover will be re-released in 2017
Nowadays, we don't even know if LEGO make their own game or just slap on a popular superhero name or Star Wars and call it a day.
However, LEGO City Undercover is a game based on their own theme. It was released back in 2013. The game was well-received by critics with Eurogamers giving it a 9/10 but due to it being an exclusivity to the Wii U, this hampered its sales.
Guess what? The LEGO group and WB games have announced its return in Spring 2017 via Twitter. This time, it will be on PS4, Xbox One, steam on the PC and the upcoming Nintendo Switch.

Ghost: Sniper Warrior 3 has multi-GPU support, no DX12
CI Games is currently working on Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, which was due out in January 2017 but was pushed into April 2017 - with the developer noting it needed more time for optimization between the PC, Xbox One, and PS4 versions of the game.
The developer was recently interviewed by WCCFTech, where they were asked about the use of graphics engine in Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, where they said they were "using a customized version of the CryEngine and do not plan to use the voxel-based GI solution". As for the resolution and FPS targets on the Xbox One and PS4, the developer noted:
CI Games were asked about their thoughts on the PS4 Pro, and "which enhancements are you planning for this version? Is the Pro console powerful enough to deliver 4K gaming?". They responded: "We are very excited about the possibilities of the PS4 Pro and definitely plan to explore some of the features to deliver a unique experience to the Pro owners, without being unfair towards the PS4 players".

Netflix's 4K restrictions could affect PS4 Pro owners
Yesterday we reported on Netflix's audacious requirements for streaming 4K video on PC: 4K streaming will be exclusive to PCs rocking a new Intel Kaby Lake i7 CPU and are only available on Microsoft's Edge browser. These restrictions will likely have an effect on gamers who own Sony's new PS4 Pro, and here's how.
So why did Netflix create these restrictions? It's rather simple: bandwidth. 4K video streaming takes a lot of bandwidth, and by requiring Kaby Lake CPUs for 4K streaming, the company significantly reduced the bandwidth by making 4K streaming less accessible to the mainstream market. But what about PS4 Pro owners?
Sony's new PlayStation 4 Pro is all about 4K: it rocks a new highly-customized Polaris GPU built specifically for gaming on 4K HDR TVs. But it's missing something very important: a 4K UHD Blu-ray player. Sony's PS4 Pro doesn't have a 4K Blu-ray player, and the company is instead forcing gamers to stream 4K content online via its own overpriced ULTRA 4K service, and signing deals with partners like Netflix. Even though its missing a huge important piece, the PS4 Pro has sold quite well so far, indicating the system will soon hit mainstream success.

Microsoft may dramatically change Xbox One's Snap Mode
Snap Mode is one of the most annoying and truly backwards features that the Xbox One has to offer; originally created as a means of fluidly and easily multi-tasking by running two apps at once, Snap Mode extremely clunky and cumbersome. The mode runs in the right-hand side of the screen and actually shrinks the main screen, making for some distorted and rather clumsy/slow "multi-tasking". But it looks like Snap Mode is getting a major change for the better, and Microsoft is keen on evolving the feature for a new generation.
Microsoft has already given the Xbox One OS a huge facelift with the New Xbox One Experience update, which adding a ton of functionality like backward compatibility, a 50% speed boost while navigating menus, enabled Windows 10 UWP integration via a custom OneCore OS and added a new quick launch bar. Now it seems Microsoft wants to optimize the system even further by completely evolving the outdated Snap Mode feature.
According to Windows Central, Microsoft is currently experimenting with a new picture-in-picture Snap Mode feature. It seems that Microsoft's motivations to remove the legacy Snap Mode aren't totally aligned with user feedback, but basic functionality, as Windows 10 Universal Windows Platform apps cannot leverage the current Snap Mode.

Mass Effect: Andromeda has 'seamless' space exploration
Unlike the previous Mass Effect games, Mass Effect: Andromeda will have a seamless non-interrupt feel to it thanks to current-gen PC and console hardware, meaning gamers won't have to sit through tons of loading points through their interstellar adventures.
Sitting down with GameInformer, BioWare recently confirmed that Mass Effect: Andromeda's player ship, the Tempest, would be a seamless space within the game. That means the Tempest won't have any pesky loading zones as players explore and navigate through the different layers of the ship, with even planet exploration and even spaceflight travel being re-worked to feel much more immersive.
