Resident Evil 7 will be the first game in the franchise to support 4K and HDR on the PC, while Sony's slightly quicker PS4 Pro console will run it at native 4K resolution.

Capcom has pumped in highly detailed textures, even on the PS4 Pro, which has furniture and walls looking extremely good according to a few gaming outlets that have laid eyes on Resident Evil 7. Capcom has confirmed my personal fear: Resident Evil 7 will be sold on the Windows Store, which is one of the worst things ever created.

There will be cross-save functionality between the Xbox and PC versions of Resident Evil 7, which is a good touch - while the PS4 version of the game will support PlayStation VR.
