Bandai Namco has announced that another fighter is coming to Soulcalibur V's roster, joining the fight this time round we have the very iconic and memorable Maxi.

Recently, we have seen some other classic Soulcalibur character reveals, such as Siegfried, Taki and Geralt. Now, Bandai Namco has released a new character trailer, this time detailing Maxi who has been apart of the Soulcalibur series since the very first game.

Bandai Namco has released some information regarding Maxi's story, here is what was said "Maxi's father had worked in the Ryukyu Kingdom as a merchant. Though fortunate enough to experience different cultures from his trade, he felt tied down by his job. On his deathbed, he told Maxi to go out and see the world. Deciding to live by these words, Maxi set out to seek total freedom. He found this out at sea where he became a pirate to see the world his father couldn't."

A Twitter user has posted what seems to be a picture of confidential Nintendo event materials, on the material ports for numerous titles can be spotted.

The leak originates from a 4Chan post which says that the user who took the image works on a showroom floor, and that these ports for Fortnite, Paladins and Dragon Ball FighterZ will be revealed at this years E3.

According to both Kotaku and Destructoid, this rumor is accurate and that they are confident that these titles will be revealed during this years E3. According to Kotaku, throughout the E3 scheduling process a source close to Epic Games confirmed that Fortnite was in fact going to be revealed for the Nintendo Switch. If this is true and this image isn't faked we could see quite a few titles be announced for the Nintendo Switch, some which we expected and some that will surprise us.

Microsoft is ramping up the hype machine for E3 2018 and their Xbox consoles, with Xbox boss Phil Spencer teasing that Microsoft will be pushing first-party development on Xbox again, and it seems it could be a huge E3 2018 because of it.

Microsoft has teased that it will be showing off a "new battle royale experience", but I don't think this is an unannounced game, but more of a real-life blended with games event. Microsoft said they will host a "special showing of HypeZone Live featuring a new battle royale experience. Players can compete to see if they can make it into the HypeZone and walk away with some sweet swag".

To be honest, I was hoping to see some sort of epic Halo Battle Royale variant, which could've been really freaking cool.

Valve has exposed all of Steam's massive 125 million strong PC gaming community to a remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability, which was only just discovered now after 10 years.

Tom Court, a security researcher at Contextis said that while the bug was bad, it is now fixed. Court explained: "The keen-eyed, security conscious PC gamers amongst you may have noticed that Valve released a new update to the Steam client in recent weeks. This bug could have been used as the basis for a highly reliable exploit. This was a very simple bug, made relatively straightforward to exploit due to a lack of modern exploit protections".

Steam was vulnerable because of a heap corruption within the Steam client library that could have been remotely activated. If hackers did this, they would have full control to the PC in question, which as you can imagine... wouldn't be good.

As is the case for all games-makers, Avalanche is ever moving forward with establishing and developing new titles...could this mean Just Cause 4 is happening?

It really shouldn't be any surprise that Avalanche Studios--like all studios--is working on new games. Most notably of Avalanche's new slate is RAGE 2, a huge new open-world "shooterverse" that it's co-developing with id Software for Bethesda Softworks. But what about other projects like, say, Just Cause 4?

Avalanche was recently bought by Nordisk Film for 89 million Euros, and by June Nordisk will have full ownership. This acquisition won't affect Avalanche's creative control or direction, the studio says, and it'll continue doing what it does best: making new IPs and working with third-party publishers on games. In the press release, Nordisk Film Games' Mikkel Weider said something interesting:

Ubisoft's next Assassin's Creed game takes place in ancient Greece, according to new leaks.

When I played through Assassin's Creed: Origins, one clear thought came through: the next chapter should be set in Greece. Apparently this is happening--the next Assassin's Creed game is called Assassin's Creed: Odyssey and will take place in ancient Greece--that's according to a new leak from JeuxVideoLive.

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey will feature different heroes, sources have told Kotaku, and will push the series' RPG mechanics to new heights, including adding dialog options to interact with NPCs and possibly even change the outcome of quests. Considering a lot of amazing occurrences in ancient Greek history happened before Bayek's time, such as The Pelopponesian War between Athens and Sparta or Xerxes' failed invasion of Athens in 480 BC, I'm hoping Odyssey doesn't follow Bayek's continued journeys.

A Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition listing has been spotted on The Korean Game Rating Board, the yet to be confirmed remaster of the first game will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Gearbox the developers of Borderlands and Publisher 2K games have yet to confirm this news so certainly take it with a grain of salt. The original Borderlands was released back in 2009 on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC and was widely received creating a very popular franchise.

Since then, the follow up games Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-sequel have been remastered for new-gen platforms in what is called The Handsome Collection. The original Borderlands was not apart of this collection, which would make sense for this news is true about a Game of the Year Edition. Another than that, there really isn't anything else to go off of, hopefully leading into E3 2k Games clears this up with an announcement.

Agony, the recently released title from Maximum Games has had some 4K screenshots taken, they showcase a beautiful hell that players will be immersed in.

Agony is a first-person survival horror title that allows players to experience what it is like to be a tortured soul in the depths of hell. The character that players play has no memories of its previous life but has the ability to posses and control enemies and people, this ability will be vital to players that want to survive their journey.

If you are interested in picking up Agony it can be found on the Steam Store and is currently 10% off. At the end of March we saw SEGA announce that they had a "Top Secret" Sonic Racing game in the works, Walmart has spilled the beans on this one with a listing for the title on their website.

Walmart lists the title of the game as 'Team Sonic Racing' and also reveals that players will be able to enjoy a fast-paced racing arcade game that also features a competitive element, as players will be able to verse each-other via online multiplayer. Online games will feature up to twelve different players while Local Co-Op support will feature up to 4 player split-screen.

According to the Walmart listing, the game will also be coming with a "Adventure Mode Unique story experience where players are introduced to basic game features and characters" and also "Various Characters and Classes 15 playable characters from across the Sonic Universe and 3 distinct character types including Speed, Technique, and Power classes." Fortnite Battle Royale has been live for about 10 months or so now and since then players have had to purely use their feet and gliders to move around the map. Epic Games has now added another option, welcoming shopping carts to Fortnite as vehicles.

If you haven't already jumped on Fortnite and found a shopping cart, the new vehicle works by one player pushing the cart while another has the option of jumping into it. The cart does work with just one player pushing it, but is much more effective when a second player is inside the basket area as they can stand up shoot, dance or be used as bait.

Fortnite is available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, iOS and Android devices. Jump on and find your new shopping cart and a best-friend to ride around with it, while at the same time reeking havoc on other players in style.

At the start of the month we began to see some information released for Rockstars Red Dead Redemption 2, now a Take-Two Interactive executive has revealed that the title could feature a DLC.

Take-Two Interactive, the parent company for Rockstar Games has had Karl Slatoff, an executive for the parent company speak out about the upcoming Red Dead Redemption sequel. According to Slatoff, the sequel is operating on a "very lucrative" platform that gives the developers the opportunity to "see downloadable content as an interesting business model" and use it if they choose to.

Slatoff continues by saying that a DLC "depends on a game-by-game basis" and "whether that makes sense." A DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2 wouldn't be that bad of idea depending on how the developers go about it. If Rockstar choose to lock content behind a paid DLC wall that is detrimental to the games story, that could cause some problems for them. If this DLC is purely extra content for players to enjoy, then I'm sure there will be no problem with fans accepting it.

We know there are some big changes some to Battlegrounds in the near future, but developer PUBG Corp. are flowing right into it to fix the PC version of the game up, which is suffering against Epic Games' Battle Royale juggernaut Fortnite.

The Atari VCS console is up for pre-order and we finally get details on what's inside the box.

Up until now Atari has been quite vague with the exact specifications that power its new Atari VCS system, but the latest Indiegogo pre-order page reveals all. The Atari VCS is powered by a customized and tweaked 7th generation Bristol Ridge APU which combines a Radeon R7 GPU and an A10 CPU. The system also features 4GB of DDR4 RAM (likely 2400MHz) and 32GB of built-in eMMC storage. Atari VCS will be powered by a Linux-based Operating System (Ubuntu) and ports include 1x HDMI 2.0 and 4x USB 3.0, with support for 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and Gigabit Ethernet.

Atari has already confirmed the device will roll out with 100 built-in classic games, and the console is to be a kind of nexus for streaming, gaming, and social media interactions. Users will also be able to play some PC games on it to boot and download more classic titles and new/older indie games from a storefront.

Bethesda's newly announced Fallout 76 game will be less like traditional singleplayer-only Fallout games and more like Rust or ARK: Survival Evolved, reports indicate.

On the heels of Fallout 76's big reveal and subsequent hype crescendo, key sources close to the project have told Kotaku's Jason Schreier that the game will be an experimental new turning point for the series. On the surface, Fallout 76 resembles other recent games like Fallout 4, but mechanically the game will have some differences including online play. Some speculate that the online title could support 5-player co-op or PvP style battles.

Fallout 76 may be a kind of merge between offline and live service games with quests and RPG content blended with online survival multiplayer. The new game should also have a full story mode alongside settlement building, which opens up new avenues for interactivity and engagement. The live service angle ensures Bethesda can continually update and morph the landscape while also introducing timed quests, big rotating events, and rolling out new content like quests. The sources told Kotaku that Fallout 76 is continually evolving and changing, so it's very likely Bethesda will do a beta test of sorts before the full game launches.

Anthem, BioWare's new open-world mech game, might be the latest to get a pre-E3 reveal.

Following the general disdain for EA's business tactics, BioWare's hugely ambitious new IP Anthem has a lot of skepticism behind it. Described as a shared-worlds title that blends genres and delivers fast-paced action, Anthem is the biggest game the Mass Effect developer has ever made and serves as a huge turning point for the company. All in all Anthem is a big deal for both EA and the developer so it's important gamers are kept in the know.

Although EA plans to show off new Anthem footage and content at its EA Play event in June it's possible we could get some new tidbits sooner. The game's official Twitter account put up a cryptic teaser that may lead to a pre-E3 gameplay feed or maybe some sort of unique ARG event that sends gamers on a wild goose chase of sorts. Today's gaming news has been largely dominated by the Fallout 76 news so it looks like EA wants to remind us about Anthem, too.

We'll be waiting a bit longer for the next big Pokemon game on the Nintendo Switch.

Yesterday saw a big explosion of Pokemon-related news, but the most anticipated announcement didn't go as expected: the Pokemon Company's next mainline RPG has been pushed far back to next year. "Pokémon also announced that the next introduction to its popular core RPG series, which was teased last year at E3, will arrive in late 2019 on Nintendo Switch for the first time," read a press release sent by the Pokemon Company.

The Pokemon Company confirmed the game will be a "core" Pokemon RPG for the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime affirms the new Pokemon game will be a "a traditional find, battle, train type experience."

Halfway through this month, the developers behind Hollow Knight sat down with Nintendolife and said that Hollow Knight for the Nintendo Switch is coming soon, now the developers have updated their statement with an email sent out to backers of the project.

According to a post found on the /r/NintendoSwitch subreddit, Redditor 'Rekkore' has said that he/she has received a survey email from Team Cherry Red asking for confirmation on region location and also saying "We're close to being done with the Nintendo Switch version, but first! We need to find out what region you're in, so we can organise the correct region key for you to download your copy."

Judging from the email that has been sent out we can assume that Hollow Knight could roughly be arriving on the Nintendo Switch in about a month or so. Rekkore has said that for anyone that is backing the project to check their emails so if you have backed Hollow Knight for the Switch definitely don't let that email slip into your 'junk' inbox.

Sea of Thieves has rolled out a new free content update and after the teasing of The Hungering Deep patch the developer has debuted patch 1.1.0 to the live servers.

Rare has rolled out the new update which will give players an opportunity to discover the mysteries of the Megalodon, a new AI enemy that players will have to work together to tackle and beat.

Rare has given players some more tools so they have a chance against the new enemy, flags and speaking trumpets have been added so pirates alike can "signal your intent to attack or ally with other crews." Capcom has announced through a post on their website and Twitter account that the next Mega Man title, Mega Man 11, will be coming to players late this year.

Capcom has detailed this announcement on their website, saying that players will have the opportunity to step into the shoes of Mega Man once again and explore the "beautiful hand-drawn environments and take down eight brand-new Robot Masters in Mega Man's latest fight for everlasting peace."

This time round, Dr. Wily has stolen eight of Dr. Lights robots to use for his nefarious plans. The plans include what is called the Double Gear system which is designed to push "robots beyond their normal capabilities." Since Dr. Wily already has a Double Gear system our hero Mega Man requests Dr. Light to install one in him as well, giving our hero new abilities and a fighting chance.

Last week Big Ben Interactive announced that the release dates for Tennis World Tour would be moved back slightly for the Nintendo Switch and PC, now the developer has released a new launch trailer for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version.

Tennis World Tour is developed by Breakpoint and is published by Bigben Interactive, the tennis simulator gives players the opportunity to experience up to 30 different professional tennis players on all the different court terrains.
