Rare teases Sea of Thieves fans with The Hungering Deep

Rare has released a new short video on their YouTube channel, the video teases Sea of Thieves fans about the coming Hungering Deep content update.

The video begins with the scaly-wag Merrick hinting at what is to come for players, he does this in the form of a short story. Merrick begins by saying that ancient tribes used to worship "great terrors from the deep" and to sail the seas undisturbed they would "offer a sacrifice."

The video also showcases what seems to be a Megladon (prehistoric Great White shark) that topples the size of a normal shark. This clue is also reinforced by that tattoo that is seen on Merricks chest, it appears that the jaw tattoo we can see is very similar to that of a fossil found of the Megladon. The Hungering Deep content update is planned for release on May 29th.
