EA is experiencing quite a week, with the successful launch of Battlefield 1, a limped launch of Titanfall 2, and then in the middle of it all the company has banned an entire country from its digital distribution service, Origin.

A post on the /r/gaming section of Reddit by 'trivial_sublime' paints a pretty bad picture for EA, with the poster saying: "I live in Myanmar, and I own about 20 games on Origin, and have spent hundreds of dollars on the platform. I've bought the full editions of all of the Battlefield games up to this point, with their season passes. I was trying to log into Origin a few days ago, and got a bizarre "Access Denied" message. I googled it, and found that "Origin is no longer available in Myanmar".

A post on EA's own website from '1guntra' said that they were getting "Access Denied" error messages when connecting from Yangon, Myanmar. An EA representative responded, saying: "We are working to restore access to Origin for our players in Myanmar. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we'll share updates on timing as soon as possible".

It was revealed last week that Director Tim Miller had abandoned the 'Deadpool' movie sequel over creative differences with star Ryan Reynolds, but he's wasted no time by joining Sony Pictures 'Sonic The Hedgehog' feature.

According to SlashFilm, former CG artist Tim Miller has signed on to help develop the project for the studio, but will stop short of directing, with that role going to friend and Blur Studios animator Jeff Fowler making his debut. Sony Pictures are serious about turning the agile blue hedgehog into a theatrical star, also signing up veteran producer Neal Moritz to oversee production. The current development is said to be a live action/ CG hybrid, family friendly adventure.

While it's still early days for the 'Sonic The Hedgehog' film, all going well it'll be in cinemas sometime in 2019.

Director Cory Barlog has initiated that the God of War reboot, will not be happening at Sony's PSX 2016 later this year (Dec 3-4).

Between hardcore fans and audiences, whispers of any hope that a short snippet of gameplay may be revealed at the event, were soon shut down after he took to Twitter to drop the news.

It has recently been revealed that Crash Bandicoot willl be joining the new Skylanders Netflix show, Skylanders Academy.

The video trailer turned up via YouTube as Pix Pinguino uploaded a segment of Crash in in his first appearance of the show. The famous Australian Bandicoot debuts in Skylanders Academy's eleventh episode, titled "Crash Landing." Audiences can currently watch all 12 episodes via Netflix.

Skylanders Academy comes as the first production from Activision Blizzard Studios and has already been confirmed for a Season 2 has already been confirmed on Netflix, later next year.

CenturyLink is set to acquire fellow international ISP and telecommunications company Level 3 Communications for a staggering $34 billion. The deal means CenturyLink has followed suit with other internet giants Verizon and Yahoo, and AT&T and Time Warner, who also combined forces in recent times.

Combined, CenturyLink and Level 3 will operate in over 60 countries and bolster their now collective reputation as some of the largest companies of their kind as well as expand the former company's network by 200,000 miles of fiber.

Once the transaction is complete, CenturyLink will own approximately 51 percent of Level 3, the latter of which will relocate to Monroe, Louisiana from Broomfield, Colorado. CenturyLink CEO Glen Post will remain in his position, while Level 3's CFO and CenturyLink's chairmain of the board.

Half-Life remake Black Mesa has been in development for about eight years. It finally saw the light of day in 2012, albeit with the infamous Xen levels and thus the ending missing. At long last, they are nearing completion: developer Crowbar Interactive has pinned down a release window to summer 2017.

Explaining the extended timeline, Crowbar says bringing the game to Steam -- which requires porting and optimization -- has taken up a lot of resources. The rest of it is due to a strong desire to do justice to the levels as well redesign and expand them so they represent what "Valve would have done without the limitations of the time." Marvel's forthcoming The Defenders TV series will be shorter than you might've expected. Whereas previous Marvel shows on Netflix have offered 13 episodes each, this one will offer eight.

The likely theory is because each superhero -- Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist -- have their own shows, only so much time can be dedicated to featuring them in additional episodes. Another is that the material simply amounted to eight episodes and that's that. In either case, it's fair to assume fewer episodes and more superheroes will mean a more action-packed show.

The Defenders will debut on Netflix sometime next year. S.J. Clarkson (Jessica Jones, Vinyl, Orange is the New Black) will direct the first two episodes and serve as executive producer for the premiere episode.

Held at the Staples Center in LA over the next few days, thousands of gamers will be attending the Riot Games official League of Legends Championship Finals. Teams of five players will take to the stage an either progress to the next round or be eliminated throughout the event as they chase the prize of 1st place along with a large sum of cash.

Google is celebrating Halloween with a special Doodle - an amusing browser game.

The game seems simple - a player controls a cat that needs to defeat ghosts by drawing the symbol hovering over their heads. But, as the game progresses, the ghosts appear faster, in more numbers and the symbols get more complicated to draw.

The game includes five levels set in school environments: the library, cafeteria, classroom, gym, and the building's rooftop, each with their own boss.

Like all good conventions, they will be covering a ton of exciting content this year, from games to book and even TV/movie snippets of what's coming in the near future. Titanfall 2 is now out and inside gamers' consoles and PCs, but according to research firm Cowen & Company, sales of EA's latest and greatest mech first-person shooter are... underwhelming, to say the least.

The research firm said that Titanfall 2 sales are going to be "substantially disappointing" in their report, ahead of EA's upcoming earnings briefing. The sales of Titanfall 2 are expected to fall somewhere in the 5-6 million range, down from the much higher 9 million forecast.

Cowen & Company's report said: "We think the game got squeezed between Battlefield 1 and [Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare]. We suspect EA believed that by launching two shooters next to Call of Duty it could put a large dent in its biggest competitor, but instead EA appears to have wound up shooting its own foot off".

There are a few retailers leaking the price of Intel's next-gen Kaby Lake processors, detailing the cost of the upcoming Core i7-7700K and Core i5-7600K CPUs.

Intel's flagship Core i7-7700K should be priced at $349 in the US, clocking in at 4.2GHz/4.5GHz for base/boost, respectively. We should find 8MB of L3 cache, and a TDP of 91W, with Intel tapping its 14nm Plus process.

The fastest Core i5 processor in the Kaby Lake family is the Core i5-7600K, a quad-core CPU without Hyper-Threading, still baked on the new 14nm Plus process node, with base/boost clocks of 3.8GHz and 4.2GHz, respectively. There's 6MB of L3 cache, and the same 91W TDP, while the price of the Core i5-7600K should hit $239.

Uber is working on something that could be the next big thing, a service called Uber Elevate, which is teased as an "on demand aviation" service.

The company teased that it has a future vision of flying vehicles that would take passengers to the skies, freeing up the roads, with the Uber app being used to secure a flying car to take you to that business meeting, dinner, or the airport.

Uber expects the first of its flying cars to arrive in 2026, with the flying vehicles capable of hitting around 150 miles an hour and taking multiple passengers. The proposed flying vehicles would take off and land on repurposed parking garages and existing helipads, and as The Wall Street Journal points out, it will "enable carbon-spewing autos to be taken off the roads, reducing traffic for earthbound commuters and making Uber's core service more efficient. In some design renderings by Uber and others, the vehicles look like small airplanes with a set of pivoting propellers for flying horizontally or vertically".

Despite the huge box office of the first film, this year's disappointing proceeds from 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows' has sunk the prospect of a third film according to the film's producer.

Speaking to Collider, Producer Andrew Form confirmed that a second sequel isn't on the cards. "We set out to make a poppy, colorful, fun, add all these fun characters that people had grown up with-and like you said, bring the cartoon to life, and we feel like Dave Green executed that perfectly and made a great movie, so what we set out for, we feel like we accomplished. It just didn't find an audience." So where does that leave the CG/ live action franchise for now? "I don't think there's [going to be a] Turtles 3, but I wouldn't say there's never going to be another Turtles movie."
