It's happened again: someone has been caught flying around LAX in a jetback, with pilots calling air traffic control to say they have a "possible Jetpack man in sight".

With the huge uptick in UFO chatter, sightings, and the infamous UFO report -- it should come as no surprise that the pilots thought it was a UFO. But nope, it's someone in a jetpack, and with all of the advanced radar technology, surveillance technology (private and military) they still don't know who is doing this.

FOX 11 got their hands-on audio recordings of the pilots talking with air traffic control at LAX, here's what they said:

SAPPHIRE right out of nowhere has unveiled something actually a little exciting: its new Nitro M01 chassis, which can fit a surprisingly powerful amount of hardware in its small footprint.

SAPPHIRE's new Nitro M01 case can handle a huge CPU cooler -- air, or an AIO liquid cooler -- but more importantly, a super-long graphics card. You can also throw in a big PSU (up to 245mm in length) while you can chuck in a graphics card that measures in at up to 335mm -- hell, the Nitro M01 can handle a GPU with an AIO cooler, too.

The Nitro M01 case can take 7 x 2.5-inch SSDs and up to 2 x 3.5-inch HDDs for storage, so you can have terabytes and terabytes of storage without an issue.

JEDEC has just announced the new LPDDR5X memory standard, which is an update to the current LPDDR5 standard but will boost performance, lower power, and more.

The new LPDDR5X standard boasts transfer rates of 8355 MT/s compared to LPDDR5 with 6400 MT/s, which represents a 33% performance improvement -- not too damn bad at all. What will this do for you and I? Inside of next-gen SoCs, used for AI and machine learning, and other high-bandwidth tasks including graphics.

LPDDR5X has improvements made to its signal-to-noise (SNR) ratio, which allows for higher clocks and of course, performance improvements. We'll see LPDDR5X memory used inside of next-gen SoCs and used for AI, high-res AR and VR, and AI-powered edge computing.

PlayStation 5's new v2.0-04.00.00 beta firmware is the largest update yet that makes big changes to the console's functionality and UI.

Sony is currently testing a new PS5 update that enables the console's expansion slot, which finally lets gamers expand their storage space with a compatible PCIe 4.0 SSD. There's a lot more to the update though, including some awesome quality-of-life improvements.

Sony released a huge list of patch notes for the beta update that confirms some great UI changes are coming. At the top of the list are big changes to trophy viewing, how your installed games are shown in the UI, being able to customize and view different things in the Game Base sub-menu, and you can even turn off the annoying screenshot confirmation indicator (about time!).

Like most news on Grand Theft Auto 6, the recent amusement park and island game maps are totally bogus.

There's been all sorts of GTA 6 rumors flying around, like the older Project Americas (confirmed fake) and a myriad of maps showing different landmasses. A bit ago one purported GTA 6 map caused a stir in the community, appearing to show an in-game amusement park called Fred's Fun World complete with double entendres matching Rockstar's inappropriate style.

Then an island map showed up with on-screen markers. Both of these are 100% fake and the creator has fessed up and even put out a video showing how he did it.

The PlayStation 5 is officially the fastest-selling console in the history of the games industry.

Sony confirms the PS5 has sold through over 10 million units worldwide to date, making it the quickest-selling PlayStation console and video games system of all time. Sony announced the news yesterday, saying the PlayStation 5 managed to move more than 10 million units as of July 18, beating the PS4's previous record. This number would be higher if Sony had more PS5 units available.

These numbers mean the PlayStation 5 is rapidly approaching the PS Vita's 16 million sales, and should dethrone the handheld throughout the fiscal year.

Resident Evil Village has now sold over 4.5 million copies in two months' time, Capcom today announced.

Capcom kicked off its Q1 2021 fiscal year with explosive results, earning a record 48.23 billion yen (roughly $440 million) in revenues driven by strong game sales. The company sold 13.3 million games during the quarter, and hits like Resident Evil Village accounted for about 33% of total sales. Capcom confirms their latest monster mashup has sold more than 4.5 million copies from launch on May 7 through June 30, 2021.

"In this business segment, the latest title in the Company's flagship series Resident Evil Village (for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC) was released in May; supported by steady popularity, the title performed well with shipments exceeding 4.5 million units worldwide after garnering acclaim for its immersive gameplay driven by the synergies between its beautiful graphics and horror elements," Capcom wrote in its earnings report.

Sony confirms its latest acquisition of Nixxes Software was made specifically to help bring more PlayStation exclusives to PC.

Earlier this month Sony made one of its most important studio acquisitions with Nixxes Software, a developer with extensive experience porting console games to PC. The buyout is a strategic step that reflects Sony's new push into the PC market, with big-name PlayStation exclusives like Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, and soon Uncharted 4 coming to Steam.

Now in a recent interview with Famitsu, Sony officially confirms what we already knew: It bought Nixxes to mostly help port existing PS4 games over to PC to help maximize and diversify revenue streams.

Sony is pushing out its first massive PlayStation 5 software beta update, which includes support for M.2 storage expansion, so you can upgrade that puny SSD inside of the PS5 up to a monster 4TB SSD.

There are some requirements with that though, while Sony will support PCIe 4.0 M.2 NVMe SSDs with sizes between 250GB and 4TB, they'll need to have 5.5GB/sec of sequential read speeds or better. Not only that, but there are some requirements that Sony has for cooling on the M.2 SSD, too.

Sony explains: "Using an M.2 SSD with your PlayStation 5 console requires effective heat dissipation with a cooling structure, such as a heat sink. You can attach one to your M.2 SSD yourself, either in a single-sided format, or double-sided format. There are also M.2 SSDs that have cooling structures (such as heat sinks) built in".

NASA is currently planning on the construction of a new deep-space communication dish in an effort to address upcoming demand on the network.

NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory Deep Space Network Project Manager Bradford Arnold told Region Media that the most recent upgrades to the current facilities are struggling with the demand and that the construction of this new cutting-edge deep-space antenna will get ahead of the coming problem. The new deep-space antenna is estimated to cost around $82.3 million and will be constructed in Tidbinbilla, Canberra, Australia.

Arnold told Region Media, "We are trying to address the upcoming demand by developing new efficiencies and building more antennas. All missions may expect to get a little less than they get now." Arnold goes on to say that there are 34 upcoming missions that the network would need to handle, and that's "about 70 percent more than we have today. While the new antennas will help, it's likely the [deep space network] will struggle to keep up."

Astronomers have accidentally found an exoplanet that has more water than Earth, and its star can be seen with the naked eye.

A Sun-like star located just 50 light-years away, which is quite small when you are speaking on distances most commonly used in space, has been accidentally found to have an exoplanet that is believed to house more water than Earth. The exoplanet is named Nu2 Lupi d and was accidentally located when astronomers were using the European Space Agency's Cheops satellite to observe a star.

The researchers objective was to observe planets b and c around the star and stumbled across evidence of planet d. The astronomers were using the transit photometry method of identifying planets, which is when astronomers observe the brightness of the local star and record any dips in brightness. These dips represent an object passing in between the telescope and the star, and in this case, it was a mystery planet.

Elon Musk has said that the production of the Tesla Cybertruck won't begin until the production of the Model Y is at volume.

Musk revealed the news during Tesla's second-quarter earnings call and said that the Tesla Semi won't be launched until next year and that there are many supply and engineering challenges ahead of the company. The Tesla CEO goes on to explain that the priority of the new Tesla plant in Texas will be the Model Y and that the Model Y, Semi, and Cybertruck will be fitted with Tesla's next-generation 4680 battery technology.

Due to the Cybertruck and Semi being "heavy users of cell capacity", putting the next-generation batteries into these vehicles won't be economically viable until a steady supply is created with a large volume. Musk continued and said that if Tesla began production on the Cybertruck at low volumes now, the vehicle might cost "$1 million a piece", hence why the company has decided to delay production.

NASA has described the coming Perseid Meteor Shower as the "best meteor shower of the year", and it's right around the corner.

If are you are located in the Northern Hemisphere, you will have to look up at the night sky on August 12 as there will be hundreds of shooting stars streaking across the night sky. NASA has described the Perseid Meteor Shower of 2021 as the "best meteor shower of the year," and it will peak on the following nights; August 11; Thursday, August 12; and Friday, August 13.

Earth is passing close to the tail of the comet Swift-Turtle which causes a lot of rock debris to enter Earth's atmosphere and burn up as they plummet towards the ground. These pieces of rock traveling at 37 miles per sound and burning up in the night sky are what we refer to as "shooting stars" due to the long streaks they temporarily leave upon entry. NASA recommends that the night of August 11 will be the best time to witness the event and that for best viewing is to go to a location that has as little light pollution as possible.

A family has claimed that the Ethereum Foundation hasn't provided them with a key file that would give them access to nearly $7 million worth of Ethereum (ETH).

According to a GoFundMe fundraiser, Yukiko Williams claims that he and his family purchased 3,000 ETH during Ethereum's Initial Coin Offering (ICO) back in 2014. Williams goes on to explain that the Ethereum Foundation sent the family a JSON file that gives access to the wallet containing the stored ETH, but there were technical difficulties, and the family couldn't get access.

Williams states on the GoFundMe page listing, "During the 2014 Ethereum Initial Coin Offering (ICO) Event, we had purchased a total of 3000 ETH Coins because we believed it would become a leading blockchain platform. At the time of the transaction, the Ethereum Foundation was supposed to send over our JSON file, which will give us access to the Ethereum wallet that contained our coins."

The United States has formally sized a $1.6 million ancient tablet that contains a portion of the "Epic of Gilgamesh".

The NYPost reports that the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) said that the 3,500-year-old tablet has inscribed on it a portion of the "Epic of Gilgamesh", one of the oldest works of literature ever. The DOJ goes on to explain that the tablet dubbed "Gilgamesh Dream Tablet" was illegally imported into the United States back in 2003, and in 2014 Hobby Lobby purchased the tablet so it could be displayed at the Washington, DC-based Museum of the Bible.

However, due to a complaint filed in May 202, prosecutors said that the tablet's rightful owner is the Iraqi government and that it should be returned to its homeland. The DOJ said that Hobby Lobby was willing to part with the tablet and that it cooperated with the agency's investigation into the matter. Acting Brooklyn US Attorney Jacquelyn Kasulis said, "This forfeiture represents an important milestone on the path to returning this rare and ancient masterpiece of world literature to its country of origin."

A new angle of the Apollo 12 moon landings has surfaced online, showing viewers a different interactive perspective.

The image is of Charles "Pete" Conrad climbing down the ladder onto the surface of the moon, and from looking at the image, you can see his Portable Life Support System backpack, which provides him with oxygen and communications. The image is quite famous since its release, along with probably the most famous image of the moon landing that features Buzz Aldrin.

Now, a Redditor has posted a new perspective of the image by using what is reflected in Conrad's visor and turning it into a 360-degree panorama. The Redditor goes on to explain that he made some color corrections and spent many hours in Photoshop making sure objects in the image lined up correctly with other images. After what can only be assumed as many hours of work, the Redditor posted the final product, which can be viewed here.

Following up on the story from a "time traveler" that was posted a few days ago, Javier, the "time traveler," has claimed that humans will get "superpowers" in 2021.

Since February, Javier has been posting videos to his TikTok account @unicosobreviviente, which translates to Lone Survivor, that claims he is a "time traveler" who has woken up in the year 2027. Since then, Javier has been posting updates about being in 2027, showing how there are no humans in his location, which is believed to be Spain. View video here.

Now, Javier has posted a new update stating, "Many of you still don't believe I am a real-time traveler, so remember these 5 dates". The video goes on to predict the following; NASA finds mirrored Earth, opposite gravity, physics, motion on 8/3/21, category six hurricane will hit South Carolina on 9/14/21, and will the worst in history, eight humans will receive superpowers from extreme energy of the Sun on 10/20/21, three teenagers will find a T-rex egg and a device to open a portal to an alternate universe on 12/14/21 and Atlantis is found in the Atlantic Ocean and is housing human-fish life on 2/2/22.

AMD is simply performing at its very best right now, battling both Intel and NVIDIA at the same time in multiple markets -- CPUs and GPUs -- and doing a fan-freaking-tastic job at it.

The company has announced that its next-gen AMD Instinct MI200 "Aldebaran" accelerator is now shipping, its first -- and the world's first -- MCM (multi-chip module) GPU. During its recent Q2 2021 earnings presentation, AMD said that "Initial shipments of next-generation AMD Instinct accelerators featuring 2nd Gen CDNA architecture".

In layman's terms, they were referring to the next-gen Instinct MI200 which is the successor to the MI100 accelerator, which is based on the Arcturus GPU. AMD has beaten Intel to the game -- with its MCM-based Xe-HP and NVIDIA with its upcoming Hopper-based H100 accelerator. AMD, like McCain's, have done it again.

This is another one of those articles that I never thought that I would be writing, but Martin Shkreli who is better known as "Pharma Bro" has had his one-of-a-kind Wu-Tang Clan album seized and sold by the Department of Justice.

Pharma Bro purchased the only copy ever made of Wu-Tang Clan album "Once Upon a Time in Shaolin" back in 2015 for $2 million, but the US Department of Justice cashed in on it, selling it for an undisclosed amount of money. But whatever they sold it for, it has cleared the "Forfeiture Money Judgment" that Shkreli had (around $7.4 million) which with the sale of the one-of-a-kind album, Pharma Bro has now fully paid off.

The DOJ used the sale of the album as a "substitute asset" and as a "forfeiture money judgment" towards Shkreli's debts.
