A hacker has targeted the Bored Ape Yacht Club Instagram account with a phishing attack that many individuals have fallen victim to.

The official Bored Ape Yacht Club Twitter account posted an update on April 25 that stated there wasn't going to be a "mint going today", as it had discovered that the Bored Ape Yacht Club Instagram account was hacked. The Twitter account also reminded its followers not to click on any links or "link your wallet to anything".

Reports now indicate that the hacker infiltrated Bored Ape's Instagram account to post a fake update on Bored Ape's upcoming LAND airdrop that requires users to connect their wallet accounts. The website that was included in the post to Bored Ape's Instagram approved users' wallet link requests that likely contained a transaction request to send NFTs from the user's wallet to the website's wallet address.

SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk has struck a deal staggering $46.5 billion deal with Twitter for the purchase of the world's second-largest social media platform.

The news was confirmed via a press release that states Twitter has entered a "definitive agreement" to be acquired by Elon Musk and that Twitter's board has accepted Musk's offer of $54.20 a share, which is a 38% premium on Twitter's closing stock price on April 1, 2022. Now, Twitter employees have held a meeting Monday morning with Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, who only recently took his position four months ago, and board chair Bret Taylor.

CNN reports that the meeting included Twitter employees asking Agrawal and Taylor questions regarding the impact of Musk acquiring Twitter. Agrawal said all staff shouldn't expect any big changes at the company until the deal is officially closed, which is scheduled to happen closer to the end of the year. Furthermore, Agrawal said that "there are no plans for any layoffs at this point", but did say that "once the deal closes, different decisions might be made".

The Hubble Space Telescope has been used to observe a distant "wispy" or "ultra-diffuse" galaxy called GAMA 526784.

The European Space Agency (ESA) has published a new image snapped by the Hubble Space Telescope, and it showcases GAMA 526784, which is the dimly light region of space slightly left of the center of the image. This galaxy resides in the constellation Hydra and is approximately 4 billion light-years away from Earth.

Notably, GAMA 526784 and other ultra-diffuse galaxies harbor many mysteries that astronomers are yet to explain fully. One of those mysteries is how ultra-diffuse galaxy's dark matter content has only been observed as either extremely low or extremely high. Another is how they contain an unusual amount of globular clusters when compared to other galaxies.

President Trump won't be returning to Twitter any time soon, while SpaceX and Tesla founder Elon Musk has just secured Twitter for $44 billion... and ex-CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, is singing Musk's praises.

The robot is made in the style of a 6-year-old girl, who is nervous about her dental treatment -- don't worry fantasy real-world, but robotic young girl, I'd be nervous as well -- which "realistically mimics the typical reaction & behavior of child patient who is nervous of receiving dental treatment".

Nissin Dental Products Inc. made the robot, specifically designer for dental, medical, and healthcare students to hone their skills on treating young patients. These learning skills involve communication with the child, facial expression monitoring, avoiding medical accidents, as well as basic life support in an emergency. The company explains that these training situations are "difficult to perform on live child patients". Well, yeah... uh.

It's official: Elon Musk has purchased Twitter, with President Trump saying he won't be coming back to the new Musk-owned social networking site.

President Trump spoke with Fox News on Monday shortly after the SpaceX and Tesla CEO secured his new goodies, where he said: "I am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on TRUTH. I hope Elon buys Twitter because he'll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on TRUTH. We're taking in millions of people, and what we're finding is that the response on TRUTH is much better than being on Twitter. Twitter has bots and fake accounts, and we are doing everything we can".

"The bottom line is, no, I am not going back to Twitter".

NVIDIA's new Ada Lovelace GPU architecture will be here later this year, with a fresh rumor from leaker "kopite7kimi" that it will be using PCIe 4.0 and not PCIe 5.0 standard... but what about the process node? 4nm... not 5nm, according to the very latest leaks.

In some of the earlier March leaks, Tom @ Moore's Law is Dead said that the highest-end AD102 GPU would have "60-80% higher performance than Ampere" and was "initially designed as a 400-500W card". We're hearing now that it will be using up to 600W in reference form (more with custom RTX 4090 models).

But as for the process node, NVIDIA is reportedly tapping the custom 4N process node for its new Ada Lovelace GPUs... not the N5 process like previous rumors. Tom actually didn't state the process node, but we knew that NVIDIA was running away from Samsung and back into the (very expensive) arms of TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company).

NVIDIA's next-gen GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card will be using the AD102 GPU based on the new Ada Lovelace GPU architecture, but now we are hearing it will NOT be based on PCIe 5.0... but rather PCIe 4.0 instead.

The new NVIDIA Hopper GPU architecture that was revealed in March 2022 has support for the new PCIe 5.0 standard, but the new consumer-focused Ada Lovelace GPUs including the new GeForce RTX 4090, will be using the current PCIe 4.0 standard.

AMD and Intel's new platforms launching this year -- AMD with its "Raphael" Zen 4-powered Ryzen 7000 series CPUs, and Intel with its 13th Gen Core "Rocket Lake" CPUs -- will be supporting the next-gen PCIe 5.0 standard. Intel already has DDR5 + PCIe 5.0 support on its new flagship Z690-based motherboards, remember.

The PlayStation 5 will get the long-awaited Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) feature this week, Sony has announced.

It's finally happening: VRR is coming to PS5 and will help tighten up next-gen gameplay even more. The PS5's Variable Refresh Rate can lead to better in-game performance by syncing the PS5's GPU rendering output frame rates with a display's refresh rate. The result is smoother gameplay and a reduction in visual artifacts, input lag, and screen tearing.

Sony notes that PS5's VRR functionality only works with HDMI 2.1-compatible displays, including newer TVs and PC monitors. There's still no mention of native 1440p resolution output.

After facing pressure from shareholders to reconsider Musk's offer of $46.5 billion to purchase Twitter, the company has rolled out a new press release that states the Twitter board has accepted Musk's offer to buy out the company at $54.20 a share.

In an effort to stop Musk's hostile takeover of Twitter the board of directors unanimously decided to take a "poison pill" that allows existing shareholders to purchase Twitter stock at a discount price, in an effort to dilute the holdings of any new investors and thwart Musk's attempt at securing a deal.

Activision lost 50 million users in one year and it's possible Call of Duty Vanguard is a main culprit.

Activision-Blizzard's latest earnings report shows a significant decline in earnings and monthly active users. The Activision segment, which serves up Call of Duty games every year, was hit hardest by the player drop.

According to data compiled by us and provided by the publisher's SEC filings, Activision lost 50 million MAUs from Q1 2021 through Q1 2022. This represents a heavy 33% drop in monthly active users. While Activision doesn't mention the reasoning for the player drop, it does say that Vanguard's lower sales and reduced Warzone engagement were key drivers for net bookings drops.

A black PlayStation 5 devkit was spotted at Hideo Kojima's production studio, but that shouldn't be a surprise; it was always obvious he was making a new PS5 game.

Hideo Kojima recently shared a picture that showed a teleconference setup that would make the The Guild of Calamitous Intent jealous. That photo also includes a snapshot of a PS5 devkit in the background, prompting tons of coverage saying "Kojima is making a PS5 game." This is something that has been apparent for years.

Not only is Hideo Kojima using Sony's advanced MADO "telepresence system" to coordinate with KojiPro's new film studio in Los Angeles, and to help guide the motion capture teams that are recording footage at the PlayStation Visual Arts Motion Capture Studio, his team literally just released a PS5 game (Death Stranding Director's Cut). It's likely Kojima is capturing footage for a new film and/or a new game, or perhaps the interactive blend of film/games that he's talked about for years.

A compilation of Ubisoft's confirmed and leaked games suggests the publisher has broken its promise to gamers.

Back in 2019, Ubisoft hit live service breakpoint: Ghost Recon Breakpoint underperformed, signalling a major re-think for the publisher. Ubisoft strategized by delaying Watch Dogs Legion and Rainbow Six Extraction and promised to differentiate its games to ensure players have a wider offering of distinct experiences.

"While many of our titles are strongly differentiated, we need to ensure this is the case for all of them. We are already acting on these learnings and tackling these issues head on," Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said in 2019.

With YouTube getting thousands upon thousands of hours uploaded to its every day in 2022, in 2005, there was nothing on the platform, that was until YouTube co-founder Jawed Karim, an American software engineer, uploaded the very first YouTube video titled "Me at the zoo" on April 24, 2005. The 17-year anniversary of the video's upload and the beginning of YouTube's journey was just yesterday.

In April 2005, YouTube launched a public beta and around the same time, Karim, one of YouTube's co-founders, left the project to study for a master's degree in computing science at Stanford University. Karim left with a substantial number of shares in the company, which was later purchased by Google for $1.65 billion in 2006, sending YouTube's share value skywards.

For the first time in 11 years, the world's largest streaming platform, Netflix, announced its losing subscribers, sending its stock price plummeting.

Netflix revealed on April 19 its disappointing Q1 results that showcased that subscription growth has decreased by 203,000 paid subscribers across its largest regions; US, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. In Q4 2021, Netflix announced it had 221.8 paying subscribers, and according to the streaming platform, the decrease is due to accounting sharing, economic issues, COVID-19 mis-projections, and more.

As a result of this news, Netflix's share price took a large tumble, and now reports from Bloomberg reveal that former and current Netflix employees are reporting, "More people are looking to leave Netflix right now than at any point in recent memory, current and former employees said this past week". The Information reported that Netflix employees have also asked upper management to roll out new stock grants to employees to compensate for the loss that they experienced over the last week.

A social media scandal in China has caused one of the top 500 wealthiest individuals to lose $2.8 billion.

Mr. Wang, the son of property billionaire Wang Jianlin, created a video on April 15 that was posted to China's social video platform Weibo. The video questioned whether the World Health Organization had recommended the herbal remedy, Lianhua Qingwen, created by Wu Yiling, one of China's leading scientists.

Lianhua Qingwen is one of the three government-recommended COVID-19 treatments, and before the video by Mr. Wang, Mr. Yiling's total wealth was around the $6 billion mark, according to Bloomberg. The video caused doubt to spread among investors, sending Shijiazhuang Yiling Pharmaceutical Co's share price in a downwards spiral that saw it decrease by 35% from its peak on April 11. Mr. Yiling's wealth saw a catastrophic drop, sliding by $2.6 billion, and is now sitting at a total of around $4 billion.

Elon Musk has confirmed leaked texts between himself and Microsoft founder Bill Gates regarding a possible meeting.

The leaked texts have circulated on social media platforms such as Reddit and Twitter, with SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk being tagged in the images to verify their authenticity. The texts state that Gates wished to meet with Musk to discuss "philanthropy possibilities" on climate change and judging by the sentiments in the texts, it appears a meeting place was previously discussed.

Musk then asks Gates if he has a "half a billion-dollar short position against Tesla?", and Gates replies with, "sorry to say I haven't closed it. I would like to discuss philanthropy possibilities." Musk replies by writing, "Sorry, but I cannot take your philanthropy on climate change seriously when you have a massive short position against Tesla, the company doing the most to solve climate change."

NASA has released several new images of the moon taken aboard the floating laboratory called the International Space Station (ISS).

The official International Space Station Twitter account published four of the images on April 24, showcasing the power of the ISS's vantage point of 250 miles above the surface of Earth. From that vantage point, astronauts aboard the station are able to man cameras and snap incredible photographs of not only the moon but also the Earth.

The new collection of moon images has been uploaded to Flickr, where they can be downloaded in high resolution for wallpaper use. Furthermore, the Flickr listings for each of the images revealed they were captured with a Nikon D4 camera on a variety of different dates throughout 2022. Each of the images shows the moon from various places in the ISS's orbit around Earth, revealing just how different the moon can look depending on the viewer's location.

Android Central posted an article on Saturday that revealed a prototype Google Pixel Watch has been found, confirming and disproving many of the rumors that have been circulating about the wearable device.

Much like the famous 2010 incident when Apple software engineer Gray Powell left a prototype iPhone 4 at a bar, which was later given to Gizmodo for a full tear down revealing what Apple's upcoming flagship had to offer, Google's seemingly upcoming Pixel Watch has been found at a restaurant. According to Android Central, the source that relayed the images to the publication asked to remain anonymous, but said that the device appears to be a "testing model for the Internal Pixel Team".

Notably, Android Central points out that if the images of the device are authentic, then this marks the first time the rumored watch that featured the codename dubbed "Rohan" has been seen by the public. Previous rumors suggested that the Pixel Watch would have a minimalist design, come in black, and have a rotating crown and two buttons. The source reported that the bottom "looks metallic but feels like it's coated with glass."
