Warren Buffet, one of the world's most influential financial investors, recently appeared at Berkshire Hathaway's annual investors meeting to discuss various topics, one of which was how artificial intelligence will impact the stock market and society as a whole.

The Berkshire Hathaway CEO appeared at the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting, nicknamed Woodstock for Capitalists, to answer several questions pitched by the company's shareholders. 92-year-old Buffett was joined by Berkshire Hathaway's 99-year-old Vice Chairman Charlie Munger. Buffett was asked by a member of the audience his thoughts on the emergence of artificial intelligence, which he then compared to the creation of the atomic bomb and paraphrased an Albert Einstein quote about the atomic bomb.

Admittedly, Buffett said that artificial intelligence has the power to "change everything in the world" and that it can do "remarkable things". Additionally, Buffett went on to say that when something can do "all kinds of things, I get a little bit worried". However, the world-famous investor led his answer by saying that "there won't be anything in AI that replaces Ajit", Berkshire Hathaway's Vice Chairman of Insurance Operations, then went on to recognize all of its capabilities and the fact that it won't be going away anytime soon.

China has brought down its mysterious space plane after a mission that lasted nearly an entire year with a total of 276 days spent in Earth's orbit.

The top secret space plane has ended its second orbital mission for China, and according to China's state-run Xinhua news agency, the mysterious space plane landed safely back on Earth at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China on May 8. According to Xinhua, the grounding of the space plane demonstrates the success of the overall experiment and a "breakthrough in China's research on reusable spacecraft technologies". Notably, the space plane launched from Jiuquan on August 4, 2022, and publicly there wasn't much known about the mission.

Regardless of the ambiguous details of the mission, the space plane was still tracked by astronomers and those interested. On October 31, China's experimental reusable spacecraft ejected an object into orbit. What exactly that object was is unknown, but some hypothesized it was a service module, which indicates the plane was preparing to land back on Earth. However, given the many more days the space plane stayed in orbit, this hypothesis proved unlikely. Other officials suggested it may have ejected a small satellite that's designed to monitor the space plane, which publications write is likely the correct guess.

The European Space Agency (ESA) has taken to its blog to announce its latest weather satellite, the Meteosat Third Generation Imager, has sent back its first image of Earth from space.

The Meteosat Third Generation Imager (MTG-I1) was launched on the back of an Ariane 5 rocket on December 13, 2022, and is slated to be the first of a brand new generation of weather satellites aimed at upgrading weather forecasting across Europe. To highlight MTG-I1's capabilities, the ESA has showcased the weather satellite's first image of Earth, snapped on March 18, 2023. The above image shows Northern and Western Europe, as well as Scandinavia, shrouded in clouds, with Africa dominating the majority of the frame.

So, what's so special about this image? Simply, the new level of detail that has been achieved, which can be attributed to the advanced instruments that the third-generation Meteosat is carrying. According to the ESA, the MTG-I1 satellite will be able to take much higher resolution imagery at a more frequent rate when compared to the previous second-generation weather satellites. More specifically, the ESA writes that the image above showcases an upgraded level of detail in cloud structures, in particular at Earth's higher latitudes.

NASA has taken to its website to announce a type of object that is currently defying our understanding of physics as its more than 100 times brighter than it should be.

These objects, as detailed in NASA's recent blog post, are called ultra-luminous X-ray sources (ULXs), and the levels of brightness they give off seemingly bypass the physical boundary of how bright an object can be. This boundary is called the Eddington limit, and according to a recent study published in The Astrophysical Journal, researchers have conducted a first-of-its-kind measurement using NASA's Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array.

The results of this measurement confirm these objects are breaking the Eddington limit, leaving scientists and astronomers to hypothesize how this could even be possible. An example would be a ULX called M82 X-2, which is a neutron star or the dead remains of a star once very active like our Sun. While neutron stars are much smaller in size, their surface gravity is about 100 trillion times stronger than the gravity we experience on Earth. Due to the intense gravitational pull, when matter collides with the surface of the neutron star, energy is released, generating an explosive effect.

NEO Semiconductor has announced that it has developed the "world's first 3D NAND-like DRAM cell array," which aims to increase DRAM chip density using established 3D stacking technology. Designed to overcome DRAM's capacity bottleneck, the company claims this new groundbreaking tech could "replace the entire 2D DRAM market."

The company filed all relevant patent stuff with the United States Patent Application Publication on April 6, 2023, for what it's calling a 3D NAND-like DRAM cell array structure for memory. This new form of 3D X-DRAM can be manufactured using existing 3D NAND-like processes based on capacitor-less floating body cell technology.

According to NEO Semiconductor, the result is high-speed, high-density, low-cost, and high-yield - a bold claim. The company notes that the technology can achieve an impressive 128 GB density with 230 layers, an eight-fold increase over today's memory capacity.

Corsair has launched its first high-speed PCIe Gen5 M.2 SSD, with the new MP700 pushing 10 GB/s sequential read and write performance.

It's the fastest Corsair M.2 SSD by a huge margin, with the company noting that it can deliver speeds up to 40% faster than the PCIe 4.0 SSDs on the market.

As the images show, this MP700 isn't shipping with a heatsink, something that most new high-speed PCIe Gen5 M.2 SSDs have featured to keep operating temperatures down. Corsair does note that for optimal performance, the MP700 "requires additional cooling."

The Diablo IV Server Slam Beta is kicking off this weekend, May 12, for all platforms, giving players another chance to dive into the game's first Act and major open-world region of the icy Fractured Peaks.

With NVIDIA's most recent GeForce Game Ready driver adding support for the upcoming stress test for Diablo 4's servers, today comes word that GeForce RTX 40 Series owners can dive into the game with DLSS 3 enabled. DLSS 3, which combines DLSS Super Resolution, NVIDIA Reflex, and Frame Generation, is designed to increase performance by integrating AI-generated frames.

DLSS 3 was previously confirmed for Diablo 4's day-one launch on June 6. Still, with the surprise 'Server Slam' additional beta weekend, it looks like we'll be looking at the technology in one of the biggest PC game releases of 2023 ahead of time. The Server Slam will also feature an updated version of the game with several changes based on player feedback from previous Beta weekends.

A new image over at Videocardz.com showcases the new AMD Radeon RX 7600 graphics cards in stock at an undisclosed retail store in Asia. The Sapphire Pulse model confirms that AMD's mainstream RDNA 3 offering will feature 8GB of VRAM alongside 32 CUs (or Compute Units) with a fully unlocked Navi 33 GPU with 2048 Stream Processors.

This single image confirms that AMD is prepping to launch the Radeon RX 7600 later this month, where it will no doubt be compared to NVIDIA's upcoming GeForce RTX 4060 Ti - which is also set to debut with 8GB of VRAM. The only thing missing is an image of the GPU itself, with the packaging not showcasing the physical design and cooling.

Recent rumors for NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4060 Ti are pointing to a version coming in July that will feature 16GB of VRAM. This additional model could be a direct response from NVIDIA to the current debate surrounding VRAM capacity amongst the PC gaming community. Although that info comes from a single source, it will be interesting to see if AMD follows suit for the Radeon RX 7600.

EA has laid out an ambitious plan to stretch its IPs and game franchises and create games-as-a-platform, a concept that 343 Industries has tried with Halo Infinite.

So what exactly is Electronic Arts up to? The publisher has a grand vision of one franchise being spread across multiple dimensions, including free-to-play, premium, mobile--the works. Games-as-a-Platform is predicated on EA's four new business cornerstones.

EA's top brass indicates the company is generally indifferent on whether or not the Activision merger goes through, and CEO Andrew Wilson confirms that EA, not Activision, is the #1 publisher on the Xbox platform. Nintendo just released its Q4 and full Fiscal Year 2023 results, and it's fair to say that investors won't be satisfied with the numbers.

Nintendo's latest Fiscal Year 2023 earnings show the company is currently on a downward flux as the Switch passes its seventh year on the market. The Japanese games-maker reported $11.84 billion in net sales, down nearly $3 billion from last year and representing a 20% YoY decrease.

Despite the dip, Nintendo is still beating its pre-pandemic performance, and many publishers had expected this kind of market correction as pandemic spending gives way to unfavorable inflation-driven economics.

Ubisoft has possibly delayed Assassin's Creed Mirage a second time, sources have told Insider Gaming's Tom Henderson.

Originally due out in Spring 2023, Ubisoft had apparently decided to delay the next Assassin's Creed game to August 2023 instead. Now it sounds like the Baghdad-based spin-off could once again be delayed by two months, and release in October 2023 instead. Interestingly enough, there are further reports the game has been delayed to 2024. Ubisoft has yet to clarify a release date for the game, and plans to show off Mirage during its Ubisoft Forward event on June 12.

The news comes from Tom Henderson, who publicly Tweeted that it seems as if Ubisoft has delayed Mirage a second time. If the game is delayed, it's likely to help polish up the core experience and potentially release alongside the critical holiday 2023 window. This could put Mirage up against steep competition with this year's Call of Duty game, which should be out in the October - November timeframe as per usual for the franchise.

Intel's Arrow Lake processors, which in theory are set to follow Meteor Lake (and Raptor Lake refresh), could arrive late next year with a massive performance boost.

That's according to YouTube leaker Moore's Law is Dead (MLID), whose latest video concerns Intel's upcoming processor ranges, encompassing all the aforementioned Core families.

For us, the most significant piece of news here is that 15th-gen Arrow Lake's performance cores will be hugely faster than Meteor Lake. MLID asserts that Arrow Lake will offer an IPC (Instructions per Clock) boost of 22% to 34%.

That new option is the Beats Studio Pro, a pair of headphones that are now said to be just around the corner. We've heard mention of them before, but now they appear to have leaked once again as we get closer to the release of IOS 16.5.

That's because the first Release Candidate update for iOS 16.5 not only mentions the new headphones but also appears to have outed the first image of them as well.

Google is set to announce its new budget smartphone the Pixel 7a in just a day - and the leaks are still coming.

The latest rumor comes via Twitter leaker SnoopyTech who shared a couple of photos of what appears to be marketing for the Australian launch of the Pixel 7a. And while that's interesting enough on its own, what really caught our eye was what's at the bottom. It appears that Google is giving away a free pair of Pixel Buds A-Series if you buy its Pixel 7a.

Or at least, someone is. It isn't immediately clear from looking at what we see here whether this is a deal that is being run by Google or if it's something that has been put together by a third-party retailer. But if it's the former, we can likely expect that Google will run a similar promotion internationally.

Apple today announced that it is bringing its pro-level audio and video apps to the iPad, but that isn't even the most exciting news. What if they also come to the Reality Pro AR/VR headset as well?

Apple's Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro apps are both coming to an iPad near you at the end of May and they'll both be available for just $4.99 per month. But Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has put the cat amongst the pigeons by suggesting that this isn't the end of the fun - what if those apps are also going to be available for people to use in a new AR/VR environment?

While Gurman doesn't appear to know when this will happen, there's a chance that we could see Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro running on a Reality Pro headset at WWDC23 next month. That event is expected to be the one where we finally see Apple take the wraps off the $3,000 headset after all.

If you are looking to upgrade your iPhone later this year and want to be able to enjoy improved zoom capabilities, you're going to want to iPhone 15 Pro Max.

That's following yet another report that the biggest and best iPhone will be the only one to benefit from a new zoom lens that will be made possible thanks to the magic of the periscope.

A periscope lens is one that bends light to allow for a longer distance between the lens itself and the camera sensor. That allows for the distance to be increased without making the phone thicker, and it will mean that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have up top a 6x zoom - a big improvement over the current 3x optical capabilities.

While it is absolutely fair to say that iOS 16.5 probably isn't the most hotly anticipated software of the next few weeks, we do now at least know when it'll be released. Or at least, we have a much better idea than we did before today.

Apple has confirmed at least which week will see iOS 16.5 ship to the public, although it still left us guessing as to which date we should be keeping our eyes peeled for. But regardless, iOS 16.5 will be available to everyone next week.

How do we know that? Because Apple mentioned it in a Newsroom post announcing its latest Pride Apple Watch and Pride iPhone wallpapers. Both of those things were shown off in that Newsroom post, but the bit we're most interested in for the sake of this post is the bit right at the very bottom which confirmed that the new Pride Celebration watch face and iPhone wallpaper will be available next week. And guess what? They both require watchOS 9.5 and iOS 16.5 respectively.

Apple's iPhone 16 Pro smartphones - yes, the models set to arrive in 2024 - are set to increase the size of the display, a new rumor reckons.

This comes from a trusted source for Apple leaks, Ross Young, who is CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) and has informed us with accurate info in the past.

Young asserts that the iPhone 16 Pro will have a 6.2x-inch screen and the iPhone 16 Pro Max could offer a 6.8x-inch display, with that final digit of the size to be revealed in a couple of weeks (at a talk he's giving).

NVIDIA's RTX 4070 graphics card may soon be produced with a different GPU, or that's the latest we've heard on the grapevine.

The rumor is from Twitter and well-known leaker Kopite7kimi, who tells us in a short and sweet tweet that the RTX 4070 could have a variant coming based on the AD103 chip.

That's the GPU engine that drives the RTX 4080 (in slightly cut-down form from its full incarnation), and soon, the chip could be used in the RTX 4070 - but for what reason?
