PlayStation 5 backward compatibility should support every PS4 game
CES 2020 - During its CES 2020 keynote, Sony didn't reveal much PS5 info (apart from a logo they were pretty tight-lipped). But they did show some impressive data, and the numbers speak volumes about next-gen's backward compatibility potential.
I've said many times that the PlayStation 5 is built on preserving and building upon legacy. Backwards compatibility is the single most important feature of the PS5. All of that power won't matter if gamers can't bring their PS4 libraries with them, especially during the critical transitional phase when the PS4 and PS5 overlap and exist at the same time (which will last for years).
Sony's CES 2020 presentation underlines this point many times. At the show, Sony confirmed the PS4 has sold over 106 million units worldwide, making it the second best-selling console of all time. Those sales also come with over one billion game purchases. Sony didn't share these numbers willy-nilly, no, it's trying to make a statement about the PlayStation ecosystem. It's trying to tell us the PlayStation 4 isn't going anywhere, likely because the platform ecosystem will live on through the PlayStation 5 thanks to backward compatibility.

The Witcher TV show showrunner: season 2's story will be 'more linear'
The showrunner for The Witcher TV show has shined a light on what to expect from season 2. According to her, fans should expect a much more linear story to unfold.
One of the main criticisms of The Witcher season 1 was the time jumps and the difficulty in following along with the story. Luckily, this won't be a problem in season 2 as the showrunner for The Witcher, Lauren S. Hissrich has taken to Reddit in an AMA (ask me anything) to say that season 2's story will be "much more linear, now that the three characters' stories have started to intersect."
Hissrich also says during the AMA that there will be a "whole new set of fun characters coming in season 2" some of which will be more Witchers. Hissrich teases, "We decided to save some tidbits of witcher lore until... you actually meet more witchers." Hissrich also gives a wide release date for when to expect season 2, and she says that there currently isn't a target release date, but she knows its past 2021.

Elgato teases Project WAVE, the new best entry-level streaming mic?
CES 2020 - Elgato has really shown their colors at this year's CES with the announcements of the 4K60 S+ and also the Key Light Air, but what about their mystery announcement?
If you head on over to the Elgato website, you can find a teaser trailer for what is called 'Project WAVE'. Before clicking into the video, it says that this product is "the next big thing from Elgato" and that it's arriving this Spring. So what is it? If you watch the video, you might have noticed what I have provided in the above screenshot. I think this part, in particular, gives away what Elgato has planned for this Spring -- a new streamer microphone.
Why do I think it's a streamer microphone? Well, if you look at the screenshot, you will notice a turn knob that has multiple sources such as mic, game chat, music, and SFX. Judging by the video, this product will be able to jump between different audio sources and control them independently.

Xbox Series X new die shot teases beautiful AMD custom 7nm APU
It must be the day to show off the semi-custom APUs for Microsoft's next-gen Xbox Series X console, with Senior Director of Hardware at Xbox, David Prien, teasing some gorgeous Xbox Series X APUs.
Xbox boss Phil Spencer updated his Twitter profile picture in the last 24 hours with a photo of the Xbox Scarlett APU, but the image wasn't perfect. Prien trumped him, throwing up a picture of 7 different Xbox Series X APUs in a tray, and I don't think I've seen anything more beautiful.
The new Xbox Series X console will be powered by a semi-custom chip using Zen 2-based CPU cores and a new RDNA2-based GPU from AMD with hardware ray tracing abilities. The new Xbox Scarlett APU will be made on the 7nm node and will power the next-gen Xbox Series X console when it launches in Q4 2020.

Elgato announces Key Light Air: A small, more compact streamer light
CES 2020 - Corsairs streaming arm Elgato has been hot off the track this CES with a bunch of new announcements. This time we are taking a look at the new Elgato Keylight Air.
The Key Light Air is pretty much exactly the same as Elgato's original Key Light, but instead, the Air version is more compact and portable. It also comes with a bunch of attention to detail features that the already released Key Light lacks. For example, there is a groove on the back of the pole that is for the light's power cord; this gets rid of any messy cords and just makes the setup look better overall.
The Key Light Air also features little measurements on the side, so the user knows exactly what height their light is sitting at. This is especially helpful for a streamer that has purchased two of the lights as they can make sure both are sitting at the same height. I'd love to get my hands-on one of these Key Light Air's for testing, as it looks like a streamers best-friend when it comes to lighting.

Lamborghini & Rivian cars will soon integrate Alexa voice commands
CES 2020 - Here's something you might not have expected from this year's CES. Lamborghini and Rivian will soon integrate Amazon's Alexa voice commands into their cars.
Lamborghini and Rivian have taken to separate websites to announce that by the end of 2020, both car companies will have successfully integrated Amazon's Alexa voice command service into their line of vehicles. So what will Alexa do? And how will this assist drivers? Alexa will be able to do menial tasks such as making calls, navigation, car climate adjustment, window adjustment, and more.
Lamborghini has said that users can expect Alexa to roll out to the entire Huracan Evo range. Rivian expects that Alexa will become integrated with their R1T and R1S sometime in late 2020. It's interesting to see Amazon pivot towards bringing Alexa into vehicles, especially higher-end ones such as Lamborghini and Rivian. Perhaps in the future, Alexa will become a standard voice assistant for all vehicles. Maybe Alexa will become so useful that car manufactures will beg Amazon to implement it.

According to the companies press release, "We recognize that toxicity and negativity happen everywhere online, even on Tumblr.
