Quentin Tarantino, an American filmmaker, film director, screenwriter, producer, film critic, and actor, has announced that he will be auctioning off "Pulp Fiction" NFTs.

In November 2021, film director Quentin Tarantino announced that he would be releasing NFTs based on his hit film "Pulp Fiction". The announcement was met with some backlash by film studio Miramax as it filed a suit against Tarantino that claims the director doesn't have the right to produce and sell digital items. Now, Tarantino is moving forward with the auctioning of the NFTs despite the suit from Miramax.

Miramax claims that Tarantino doesn't have the right to create and sell digital collections based on Pulp Fiction and that by doing so, Tarantino is allegedly breaching the terms of a contract; copyright infringement, trademark infringement, and unfair competition, per Decrypt. Despite the suit, Tarantino's legal team believes that the director isn't violating any previous contractual agreements, as the 1993 agreement with Miramax states that Tarantino maintains the right to commercialize reproductions of the Pulp Fiction script.

Bethesda teases Elder Scrolls Online's next big expansion and confirms the MMORPG is going to a brand new land that's never been explored in the mainline series.

Elder Scrolls Online's new adventure sees players crossing the seas from the Tamriel mainland to a mysterious new island. A new teaser from Bethesda strongly hints that ESO's new 2022 yearly content will take place in the sea elve's (also known as maormer) homeland of Pyandonea, which lies south of the Somerset Isles.

"Across a vast sea awaits 2022's newest adventure for The Elder Scrolls Online. The coming year will satisfy a desire of Elder Scrolls fans everywhere by introducing a never-before-seen world and a tale that has yet to be told," reads a press release.

SEGA will scrap its NFT and play-to-earn plans if gamers don't approve.

Back in November, SEGA said it was interested in experimenting with NFTs and other emerging technologies. Now the Japanese games-maker says it could halt its R&D initiatives and investments into NFTs if the global gaming audience pushes back. So far gamers have vehemently decried NFTs, blockchain gaming, and play-to-earn despite major publishers like Ubisoft, EA, and Square Enix all evangelizing the new tech.

In a recent management meeting. SEGA CEO Haruki Satomi confirms there's no concrete plans with blockchain, NFTs, or play-to-earn. Lots of things need to be considered, Satomi says, including regulations, implementation, and overall player sentiment.

Ubisoft+ is coming to Xbox platforms, but don't expect to get it free with Game Pass.

Ubisoft's premium all-you-can-play games subscription service is coming to Xbox platforms, the company announced. Everyone assumes Ubisoft will include this free with Game Pass Ultimate, but that's not the case. It'll be an entirely separate subscription.

What's interesting is that Ubisoft+ is technically a Game Pass competitor that quite literally copies Microsoft's game plan. HBO Max and HBO have hit a combined 73.8 million global subscribers by 2021's end, Warner CEO Jason Kilar tells Deadline.

According the latest figures provided by WarnerMedia, HBO Max is now the third leading subscription-base streaming service in the world. In tandem with its base HBO service, HBO Max has accrued a massive 73.8 million subscribers throughout 2021. Heavy-hitting day-and-date film releases like Dune and The Matrix Resurrections helped surge its yearly numbers, however Kilar affirms this simultaneous release structure isn't intended to last.

Despite these monumental gains, Netflix (213 million) and Disney+ (118 million) conquer the streaming wars with sizable leads. Meanwhile, NBC's Peacock comes in at 54 million subscribers, followed by Paramount+ with 47 million. Hulu, which includes shows across a variety of labels including FX, falls behind with 43.8 million subscribers. All companies are expected to announce updated figures in their Q4 earnings reports.

Holding off on Death Stranding was a wise decision, especially now with the Director's Cut on the horizon for PC. This will be the definitive version that makes big improvements over the original 2020 release. 505 Games and Kojima Productions have announced the Death Stranding Director's Cut is coming to Steam sometime in 2022. There's no release date, price, or details on a possible discount for existing owners available just yet.

AMD teased its next-gen Zen 4 architecture and upcoming Ryzen 7000 series CPU at CES 2022, with a test of Halo: Infinite running on an undisclosed Zen 4-based CPU.

Halo: Infinite was run at 1080p on NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card, alongside a Zen 4-based Ryzen 7000 series CPU which will feature a built-in RDNA 2-based GPU. The new Ryzen 7000 series CPU was installed into a next-gen AM5 motherboard with the new prototype LGA1718 socket.

AMD says that it was hitting 5.0GHz on all of those next-gen Zen 4 cores, so we should see peak CPU clocks boosting over 5.0GHz -- especially with Intel at AMD's heels with its new Core i9-12900KS processor hitting 5.2GHz on all P-cores. The race of 5GHz and beyond is now here, I guess.

The European Southern Observatory (ESO) has released a new video showing images of the Flame Nebula in various spectra.

The Flame Nebula is found in Orion Constellation, which houses other beautiful cosmic objects like the Horsehead Nebula, visible in the picture above. A few years back, Thomas Stanke, a former ESO astronomer, used the SuperCam instrument at the ESO-operated Atacama Pathfinder Experiment (APEX) to observe Orion.

Bill Gates' Breakthrough Energy Ventures are helping fund the new rocket by Stoke Space.

Breakthrough Energy Ventures is an organization that falls under the umbrella of Breakthrough Energy, which Bill Gates founded in 2015, and aims to fund sustainable energy technology initiatives. The organization's Series A funding round in December 2021 saw $65 million going to Stoke Space, a rocket company based out of Seattle.

Stoke Space was founded by former Blue Origin and SpaceX employees in 2019. They have since received funding from the National Science Foundation after winning the SBIR Phase 1 grant and raised an additional $9.1 million through seed funding led by the NFX and MaC Ventures. The funds are being put toward developing a fully reusable and environmentally friendly rocket.
