A reporter has staged a public protest live during a news segment that has since sent shockwaves through Russian society.

Marina Ovsyannikova, the reporter for the state-owned Russian news network, was an editor of Channel One, and during a recent news segment, she held up a sign that read Russians were being lied to about the war and not to trust the news channel she was working for. The sign also called for "No war", and featured an English sentence that read, "Russians against war".

According to a report from CNN, Russian President Vladimir Putin passed a law that allows Russian authorities to imprison any individual that speaks out against the Russian government for 15 years. After the live protest, Ovsyannikova was detained and transferred to the Ostankino police department. CNN spoke to Yakov Kronrod, an American that traveled back to Russia to care for his sick grandmother, who said that the live protest has blown up throughout Russian society.

An article on the man's tongue titled "Black Hairy Tongue" has been published in Journal of the American Medical Association's JAMA Dermatol.

A man in his 50s came to doctors in India with a black, hairy tongue after suffering a stroke three months prior. Following the stroke, the man had motor weaknesses in his left side and was put on a pureed diet. For about two weeks, a black coating covered his tongue, which doctors diagnosed as the condition of black hairy tongue, or lingua villosa nigra.

The condition occurs in about 13% of the population, according to the American Academy of Oral Medicine, and is relatively harmless. The condition results more commonly in people on pureed diets, as a lack of food that abrades or stimulates the top of the tongue leads to the build-up of the protein keratin. Consequently, the filiform papillae covering the tongue grow longer and take on a hairy appearance.

A study on the star system titled "The Physical Properties of the SVS 13 Protobinary System: Two Circumstellar Disks and a Spiraling Circumbinary Disk in the Making" has been accepted for publication into The Astrophysical Journal.

The binary star system is called SVS 13 and is located 980 light-years away from Earth. After a star is born, the leftover dust and gas form a protoplanetary disk, which can then produce planets, asteroids, comets, moons, or various other kinds of celestial bodies. Astronomers have now observed three such protoplanetary disks forming around SVS 13.

After completing lengthy "intense" discussions with the Chinese diplomats, US officials believe China has already decided it will fund Russia's invasion into Ukraine.

US national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, participated in a seven-hour meeting in Rome with top Chinese diplomats where presented a strong case against Russia's invasion into Ukraine beginning on Thursday, 24 February. A US official described the discussions as "intense", and when Sullivan was asked if the discussions could be declared a success he said China and the US are committed to keeping open lines of communications even in areas they disagree on.

While that is certainly a positive sentiment, US officials believe that the goal of getting China to reevaluate its position wasn't achieved, as the diplomats made it clear that they have already decided to provide economic and financial support to Russia. At the moment, Russia has $640 billion tied up in gold and foreign exchange reserves, and some of those reserves are in yuan, which is an avenue that China can assist Russia financially.

Hours after regaining power following a previous outage, the plant has once again lost power.

Ukrenergo, Ukraine's electrical grid operator, has blamed Russian forces for damage to a high-voltage power line connecting the plant to the grid and has demanded a repair crew be allowed to access it. The power line was repaired by a crew on March 13th, allowing Ukrenergo to start delivering power to the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) and the city of Slavutych. Before power was fully returned, Russian occupying forces damaged the line again.

Elon Musk has called out Vladimir Putin on Twitter, issuing a challenge for "single combat."

Musk wrote Putin's name in Russian, and below his challenge wrote the "Stakes are Ukraine." In reply to his initial tweet, Musk wrote entirely in Russian to @KremlinRussia_E, the official Twitter page of the President of Russia, with a message translating to "Do you agree to this fight?" He then followed up with a reply to a Twitter user, writing "I am absolutely serious".

Since Musk's tweets, Dmitry Rogozin, the Director-General of Russia's space agency Roscosmos, issued his own tweets in response, translating to "You, little devil, are still young, Compete with me weak; It would only be a waste of time. Overtake my brother first." The tweet quotes a Russian fairytale by A. S. Pushkin, known as "The Tale of the Pope and his worker Balda".

The files residing in Barack Obama's Presidential Library have been uncovered by a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.

The FOIA request was filed by John Greenewald Jr., of The Black Vault, which has filed over ten thousand FOIA requests and houses over three million declassified government documents on its website. The request sought documents related to the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), which began as the Advanced Aerospace Weapon Systems Applications Program (AAWSAP) and had the objective of studying unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP).

The library responded to the request by saying it has approximately 3,440 pages and 26,271 electronic files that potentially pertain to the topics in question. It will likely take some time before the files become available, as they will need to be examined and potentially redacted in places before becoming publicized. Obama has previously gone on record stating that UFOs are indeed real.

Jeff Bezos' aerospace manufacturer and sub-orbital spaceflight services company, Blue Origin, has announced the next space tourists.

Back in October 2021, Bezos' Blue Origin successfully took Star Trek star William Shatner to space, taking off from the launch site located in west Texas to the Karman line 66 miles above the surface of Earth. In December 2021 the aerospace manufacturer took NFL player and Good Morning America co-host Michael Strahan to space on Blue Origin's New Shepard rocket.

Now, Blue Origin has announced that Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson will be joining five other passengers on the next launch scheduled for March 23. The other passengers aboard Blue Origin's next ride to space will include CEO and investor Marty Allen, Sharon and Marc Hagle, entrepreneur Jim Kitchen and George Nield, a former NASA manager.

Russia is continuing its advance into Ukraine while simultaneously requesting economic and military aid from China.

According to a report from Reuters, the United States has claimed that Russia is requesting military and economic aid from China, which the US has now warned China against participating in after indicating to Russia that it was willing to provide support. The allegations from the US have been denied by both China and Russia, following newly imposed sanctions on multiple Russian businessmen and politicians.

The Kremlin has denied any allegation that suggests it doesn't have enough resources to win the war and will be forced into pulling out early into a peace agreement. One Ukrainian presidential advisor predicted that a peace agreement will be struck before the end of May based on how many resources Russia has left.

Russia is continuing its invasion into Ukraine, and amid constantly shelling on Ukraine's capital, an advisor for Ukraine's president has given a potential date for the end of the war between the two nations.

According to Oleksiy Arestovich, a Ukrainian presidential adviser, blogger, actor, political and military columnist, based on an estimation of total Russian resources, the war with Russia could possibly end in early May. The presidential advisor estimates that by the end of May, 2022, Ukraine and Russia will have entered into a peace agreement, but also said that this peace agreement could happen much earlier than May.

Arestovich went on to say that the war has reached a "fork" point where Russia will be forced to either strike a peace deal and withdraw troops completely, or send in more forces for "round two". Additionally, Arestovich said that a "completely crazy" scenario could be Russia sending in freshly conscripted military that have only had minimal training.

Russia has promised that it won't be leaving behind any NASA astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

Recently a strange video was released by a state-controlled media outlet that showcased the Russian side of the ISS detaching and cosmonauts leaving behind NASA astronaut Vande Hei who is currently onboard the space station. Hei is also scheduled to return back to Earth on Russia's Soyuz rocket, and after viewing the video, some individuals interpreted it as a potential threat of leaving Hei stranded in space.

However, Russia's space agency, Roscosmos, has given a new statement via Russian state-owned news network TASS, where the agency vowed, "US astronaut Mark Vande Hei will travel back home in the Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft together with Russia's Anton Shkaplerov and Pyotr Dubrov on March 30. Roscosmos has never let anybody doubt its reliability as a partner."

Russia is continuing its attack on the capital of Ukraine and has simultaneously sent out threats targeting Western arms suppliers assisting Ukraine.

According to reports, Russia has announced that its troops may begin targeting Western weapon suppliers in Ukraine, adding that Moscow has repeatedly warned that providing Ukraine with military aid in the form of anti-tank missile systems, air defense systems, and various forms of weapons would result in consequences.

Sergei Ryabkov, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, said that the US had not considered Russia's warning to be serious, and Russia would not be participating in a "negotiation processes" on Ukraine. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has continuously requested military aid from Western countries and has received multiple deliveries that have aided his defense against Russia's invasion.

AMD first announced its DLSS competitor in the form of FSR back in late May 2021, and is now gearing up into debuting its next-gen FSR 2.0 technology.

The company will be detailing its next-gen FSR 2.0 upscaling tech at GDC 2022 (the Game Developers Conference) later this month... but ahead of that, the developer of CapFrameX benchmarking and monitoring software, posting on Twitter saying that he'd seen an FSR 2.0 demo and that there was "impressive performance and image quality".

CapFrameX also said that "AMD even claims that it can be better than native", with "temporal upscaling + optimized AA", it "does not need AI" (so no dedicated Tensor Cores like GeForce RTX GPUs), and it "runs on GPUs from all vendors".

AMD will be launching the world's first processor with 3D V-Cache technology next month, with the introduction of its new Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor, but it will be joined by another 9 processors that AMD will unveil in the next month.

The news is coming from Wccftech, which reports that AMD is going to be rolling out 10 new SKUs in total: 6 from the Ryzen 5000 series and 4 x from the Ryzen 4000 series. Starting at the top, we'll see AMD introduce the new Ryzen 7 5800X3D, as well as the AMD Ryzen 5700X/5600/5500/4600G/4500/4100, and then the AMD Ryzen 5700/5100/4700.

AMD's new Ryzen 4000 series will be updated, packing the Zen 2 Renoir-X CPUs -- the same CPUs, but they'll be dropping their built-in Vega GPU and enjoying some CPU clock speed changes -- not much new there. We should see these new AMD Ryzen CPUs as the last wave of AM4-based processors, as the company will be shifting into its new AM5-based socket with DDR5 memory support later this year.

AMD is getting ready to drop its refreshed Radeon RX 6950 XT graphics card, with some 'Super-style' upgrades including faster 18Gbps GDDR6 memory.

But in some fresh rumors, industry insider "Greymon55" has teased that AMD's in-house reference Radeon RX 6950 XT graphics card will feature an all-black cooler. This would be a shift away from the silver + black + red theme of the first wave of Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs -- including the flagship Radeon RX 6900 XT reference graphics card -- so an all-black cooler must mean business.

An all-black cooler reminds me of the earlier TITAN series GPUs from NVIDIA, where the TITAN X dropped almost to this day in 2015. NVIDIA used the GeForce GTX TITAN X as a much more premium-focused GeForce GPU with much more VRAM (12GB at the time) and a serious all-black cooling design.

NVIDIA's next-gen GeForce RTX 4090 is expected to be quite the beast: not just in brute performance, where we've got rumors of double the RTX 3090 performance, and huge 600W power claims.

Now there's some more confirmation -- from the rumor mill, but still this source is pretty solid -- from "kopite7kimi" on Twitter. In a new tweet, he says "someone told me the xx90 with 600W TGP has been confirmed. I think it's too early to talk about it".

600W is a huge amount of power for a single GPU, but with rumors of the Ada Lovelace-powered GeForce RTX 4090 (with the AD102 GPU in particular) we're looking at double the performance of the GA102-powered GeForce RTX 3090. That's an incredible amount of horsepower, and less than double the 300-350W+ that the RTX 3090 consumes.

NVIDIA has a secret stock of flagship GeForce RTX 3090 graphics cards, with the company giving away 8 of them at GTC 2022 (its upcoming GPU Technology Conference) and they'll be signed by CEO Jensen Huang.

GTC 2022 is all virtual this year, which is unfortunate because it was one of my favorite trade shows to attend pre-pandemic. NVIDIA hasn't been clear on how it will be giving away the GeForce RTX 3090 Founders Edition graphics cards signed by CEO Jensen Huang, but the only requirement for the giveaway is to be a participant of the hybrid (virtual/in-person workshops) GTC conference.

Chinese Customs Officials discovered that the "Walking CPU" or "CPU-Man" was trying to illegally import the processors into China, noticing that his walking posture was abnormal, custom officials pulled him to the side. Not only was he busted with 160 processors -- mostly Intel 11th Gen and 12th Gen Core CPUs -- he had 16 foldable smartphones on his person, too.

Chinese Customs Office explains: "[Walking CPU] On March 9, the gate customs seized an entry case of a passenger hiding a central processing unit (CPU). At about 1 a.m. that day, a man named Zeng entered the country through the customs "no declaration channel" at the travel inspection site of Gongbei Port. Customs officers found that his walking posture was abnormal and stopped him for inspection".

For the first time ever, Sony is devoting an entire State of Play event to a single third-party multi-platform video game.

Today Sony announced that Hogwart's Legacy, the new highly-anticipated Harry Potter RPG, will get its own State of Play stream. The stream goes live on Thursday, March 17 at 2PM PST/5PM EST on Twitch or YouTube, and will feature 14 minutes of gameplay captured on PlayStation 5 (an interesting choice considering PS5 stock is still very limited) alongside a 6-minute roundtable discussion with the devs at Avalanche Software who made the game.

Hogwart's Legacy has been mired in controversy for two main reasons: First is the transphobic comments made by J.K. Rowling, which has caused lots of fans to discourage pre-orders and purchases of all Harry Potter products, and the second is that one of the game developers, Troy Leavitt, ran a pro-GamerGate YouTube channel. Leavitt later resigned and left the game studio.
